Day 3: Detailed

The party was in full swing. The apartment was pleasantly full of friends old and new, gathering for a pre-Christmas party before many of them would flee the city to spend the holiday with family "back home."

Kurt was leaning in to hear a story Brittany was telling, but she spoke softly and the din of the crowd was such that he could only make out certain words. While he tried to decipher something about a dragon and the subway, he felt a tap on his shoulder and heard a voice say, "I think we found something of yours."

He turned to see Jeff and Nick, who were in town for a visit. Between them was a very tipsy Blaine.

"Kurt!" Blaine exclaimed, throwing himself at his husband and wrapping his arms around his neck. "I hadn't seen you in so long, I was worried!"

Kurt chuckled, patting Blaine's back tenderly. "I saw you fifteen minutes ago," he reminded him.

Blaine didn't respond, and Jeff chimed in. "He came up to us and asked if we'd seen his husband. He then proceeded to give us a very detailed description of you so that we would know what you looked like." Jeff grinned widely, not trying very hard to hide his mirth. "Let's see," he began, counting off a list of items on his fingers, "we were told to look for the most beautiful man in the world, with eyes like the ocean and hair the color of rich caramel, flawless skin…"

"All right, all right, I get the picture," Kurt interrupted.

Blaine pulled away just enough to meet Kurt's eye. "I was afraid that I lost you," he said, sounding truly concerned.

Kurt held back a laugh and replied, "We're in our own home, honey. I think you would have found me eventually."

Blaine put his hands on either side of Kurt's face and professed solemnly, "I will always find you."

Kurt's heart melted at his goofy, sweet, adorable (if not slightly ridiculous when drunk) husband, and he rewarded him with a chaste but loving kiss. Blaine embraced him again, and Kurt looked over Blaine's shoulder back to Jeff and Nick.

"We started watching 'Once Upon a Time' recently," he explained. "It's something that Prince Charming and Snow White say to one another all the time."

Their friends answered with an exaggerated "Awww!" Nick turned to Jeff and said, "I bet Snow White doesn't have a Bette Midler tattoo on her shoulder, though." Kurt's eyes flew open wide. "I told you," Jeff teased as he took Nick's arm and started walking away, "he gave a very detailed description."
