The LoudBusters 5

Ok my loyal readers here's crossover of a different type... This time I've added Ghostbusters to my Loud House story hybrids. But this is based off the Ghostbusters/Ghostbusters 2/Ghostbusters: The Videogame (Realistic version)/Ghostbusters: Afterlife timeline. What if during the stream crossing that defeated Gozer in the first film damaged the dimensional fabric between the Ghostbusters dimension and the Loud House? Sending ghosts to their world. Now Lisa will be the one alongside Liam & Lucy in creating the tech to capture and contain the spooks. Frankly if Elisha Gray and Alexander Bell can both independently create the telephone then Lisa Loud can develop the proton pack equipment. Rated K+ for mild innuendo, a dark tone/plot, scary monsters, or frightening monster descriptions.

- Chapter 5 - Ecto-RW rolls!

It was late afternoon at 1216 Franklin Avenue as Mrs. Loud took a sip of her blackberry herbal tea, something her poet daughter got her hooked on. A notepad had various articles ideas she'd brainstormed but nothing really stood out. She needed to come up with something or Jesse Hiller, her boss and by extension the Royal Woods Gazette would be upset. To say the least.

She was still jotting down ideas alternating between sips of tea when her hubby walked by her, he was proud of her being to write like she aspired to. Lynn Sr. knew she was proud of him too, living the dream of owning a restaurant. "Still no new ideas eh Rita?" He asked trying to start some small talk with her.

''Pretty much." Was all she could say.

But something was on her husband's mind, something important he needed to talk with her about. "Uh honey can I talk to you for a sec? It's important."

"Yeah, Lynn what is it?" Rita said putting down her pen.

So far, she wasn't getting much progress, but she could see her husband was a bit worried about something serious. "Are we seriously letting Lincoln open a ghost catching business? You know how the Girl Guru incident went? And the cookie biz he & Clyde started. Just not sure if it's a good idea. And you know how his dads can be.''

Yeah, that was very true, Lincoln's friend Clyde's fathers were very protective of him. As his teen years progressed, he gently asked them to let him be more independent, frankly they just ended up bawling. "Well according to Lisa's information ghosts DO in fact exist. And not all of them are so friendly. Lori told me all about Shanks. Not so bad if he wasn't such a prankster." Mrs. Loud recalling the ghostly golfer.

"Yeah, I remember that. Had to drive them both there. I missed my baby so much." Lynn said starting to tear up, missing his oldest child having left the nest.

While Lynn Sr. was skeptical Rita had a bit more confidence in her son, he was the so-called "Man with The Plan'' after all. If anybody could figure things out Rita Loud knew it was him. "Oh, I'm sure they'll be fine. Lincoln's one of the more responsible kids. Plus, his friends are helping. If they need any help, they'll come to us. I'm sure of it Lynn."

"Oh, alright let 'em chase a few little spooks around. What's the worst that could happen? How bad can it get?" The family man half joked.

Oh, how wrong the Lincoln's parents would be as things would never be that simple. As finally things were about to be looking up... Not that they'd even know it at the time. In the living room things were a bit... hectic. Not like the usual but more than a little busy, as Lola was stuffing her purse with a few of her cosmetics. Her hat loving twin was also stuffing her bag with many of her own essentials. Mostly tools. "Hurry up Lans. We only got a few more minutes to pack up everything we need before we head out to Royal Woods Spa."

''Argh. Don't remind me." The tomboy twin grumbled.

But that was big news to Lincoln and his group, when she'd plan on going to Royal Woods Spa? Granted she might have mentioned it in passing but he'd been so busy starting up Ghostbusters he might've inadvertently tuned out that little detail. ''Huh? Why you going there?'' He curiously asked her.

"Oh, Linky I must've forgotten to tell you I'm doing a commercial there. Photoshoot with a few dresses and test shots of some beauty products. Courtesy of the karate ad I did. Nothing major.'' Lola mentioned offhand bringing her usual bag of cosmetics.

"And I gotta help. Be her pack mule. Barf.'' Lana grumbled.

"Oh, stop it. I'm taking you out for pizza afterward once you're done helping me. Least I can do." The pretty twin shot back looking in her mirror, doing some last-minute fixes to her hair.

Quickly Lola dragged her twin out the door, buckled themselves into her upsized Princess Car, and stowed their bags in the backseat. "Wish us luck Linky." Lana said giving he brother a pitiful look that meant "help me".

''Now so long everyone! I have important work to put my face through." Lola declared as she started the engine and drove off to the spa.

Meanwhile in the HQ's office at Haiku's desk her phone rings. "Hello, Ghostbusters. Yes, of course we're serious. No, we do not summon your dead family members to catch them for the combination to the family safe. You what? You really have? You're not kidding? Uh-huh. Well, I'll put down the address. Yes, of course. Oh, they'll be very discreet. Thank you." Haiku then hung up.

The gothic poet gave Liam a confirming look, to slam down hard on the alarm bell. "HEY FELLERS FINALLY GOT ONE!''

"Huh?!'' Was all a confused Rusty uttered.

"The call! Let's go!" Lincoln ordered.

Rushing up the staircase, they fling open their named lockers and suit up. Just as fast they load inside Ecto-RW. "Here we go everybody. Time to take care of business!" Zach hooted.

"Hope our ride holds together. Guess we'll just have to trust Lana's work." Cylde mentioned.

"All right people let's roll!'' Rusty said rubbing his hands together, ready to bust some spooks.

"Not so fast mister... I'm driving.'' Stella said pushing Rusty over.

The bunker doors opened from the sides, as Stella quickly turned the key as the new salvaged engine revved to life. The makeshift vehicle's distinctive sounding sirens wailed as well as the Ecto-RW sped out of the bunker's garage doors speeding off to the first job.

-Royal Woods Spa

Outside Royal Woods Spa Ecto-RW drove up, as the Ghostbusters logo was put front and center on the doors. This was the place with ghost problems? That was unexpected something Clyde even found ironic. "Royal Woods Spa? But that's where Lola's commercial is getting made.'' Clyde recalled.

Still, they came for a job and through the lobby of Royal Woods Spa the Ghostbusters entered. ''Hey everyone? Anyone see a spook or something by chance?'' Stella asked a random lady.

"You seen something? Anything?" Zach asked a well-dressed man checking in at the front desk.

The man's very pretty lady companion walks by the group. Needless to say, they all stared suspiciously. But by then Lola spotted them, and boy was she a royally unhappy camper. "No. No. No! I don't want my brother and his car full of clowns here! I want the "Ghostbusters'' outta here right now!'' Lola complained seeing them in full uniform.

Luckily the manager came to spare them Loal's bratty wrath. "At ease Miss Loud. Uh, thank you for coming here so very quickly. I'm telling you right now the guests are asking too many questions and the staff are running out of good excuses."

The younger blonde girl simply scowled at her brother's crew; she had a half a mind to let them hear a few choice words but thought better of it. Swearing wasn't proper behavior for a lady of her caliber. That and the film crew might give her the boot if they heard her swearing like a sailor. The manager then spoke to Stella. "Sir has it ever happened before?" She asked.

The spa manager did inform the group of the place's spooky history. "Well, most of my original staff knows about the fourteenth floor, the ones hired when it opened. And it's bizarre history."

That had Zach give the man a skeptical glare. "Really?"

The man then explained further what he meant. "Oh, umm the disturbances, I meant.''

Naturally Rusty had agreed that sounded better. "Yeah, that's better.''

Still, he was frazzled by the activity going on there lately, things had never been this crazy before. "But it's been very quiet, for over seven decades. That is until two days ago. It was never, ever like this, in any year."

Being a smart alec Rusty patted him on the left shoulder. "You poor man."

By now Lincoln wanted some information. He took out his phone making some text-based notes. "Did you ever report anything to anyone? By chance, Hunter Spector maybe?"

The manager nearly went white as a sheet. "Oh no... The executives don't even like us speaking about it. And hiring Spector? Even bringing more unwanted attention? The last thing we want is the guest's and public casting the spa in a negative light. Our reputation would be ruined."

Turning to Lola Lincoln hoped he could stay out of Lola's business while he conducted his. Something she agreed to. "Lola just let us handle the spooks alright. We'll try to stay outta yer way."

"Well then handle it. But keep me and my commercial debut out of it. Goodbye to you all.'' She said waving them a sarcastic goodbye.

"Yeah, Lola we're just here on business. You won't know we're even here. We swear." Stella further explained.

"No swearing Stella. But fine go look around for whatever ghost crud ya think is floating around. Just keep me out of it and yourselves under control. Ok? Got it? Good. Now go.'' Lana scolded her letting them go on their way.

Before the group went on their way Clyde, paused before going to Lola handing her a communicator device based around the Ghostbusters logo. "Take an Ecto Comm. just in case.''

"Fine. Whatever.'' She sassed them.

The Ghostbusters team then headed off to a nearby elevator, as a very attractive blonde girl in her teens walked out from it. "Hey uh hello miss yer perfectly safe now, we the Ghostbusters are here.'' Rusty said putting on his usual hammy charms.

"Dork!'' The girl hissed at him sticking up her nose walking away, not impressed by him.

His fellow Ghostbusters simply shook their heads in disgust at Rusty's brazen womanizing pick-up lines. "Y'know guys one of these days one of my pickup lines is gonna work.'' He pointed out.

As the quintet of teens squeezed into the elevator, a thought just occurred to Zach. "Y'know I realized we really haven't properly tested this equipment. All kinds of stuff could go wrong." Zach said bringing up this very important detail at the worst possible time.

"Huh? What? Us worry? Why? We're all wearing unlicensed nuclear generator things. What can possibly go wrong in all this I wonder?'' Rusty sarcastically pointed out.

"Nuclear accelerator you mean.'' Stella whispered into his ear.

"Same dif.'' He muttered.

"Yeah, I guess so. Let's do this. Switch me on!" On cue Stella charges Zach's proton pack, then slowly backs away from him, something he didn't notice. Following her lead the others did the same.

Twelfth floor the Ghostbusters exit the elevator. The whole group charges their proton packs.

"That's gonna be my new ring tone. Uh Stella and me will check things out down here. Give us a ring if anything turns up.''

"Remember Zach we have to be discreet. No cowboy stunts.''

"I'm always careful Stella. You be careful. Geez have some confidence.'' Zach sassed back to her.

Suddenly Lincoln saw a room service cart moving around the corner. "There it is!" Clyde shouted and blasted the cart with his proton beam.

Cowering behind the cart a terrified maid is asking what on earth they're doing! "What the bleeding heck are you doin'?!"

"Geez bro what're ya doin'!" Zach yelled calling out his friend's unwarranted blast.

"Great test.'' Rusty said smirking twirling his Proton Gun around his finger.

The maid scowled at them picking up the now charred supplies from her cart. What in heaven's name were they doing?! They could've killed someone doing... whatever it was they did! The lady swiftly went for another hallway and not get shot.

''I think we better split up. Our spooks might get too far ahead us if we stick together.'' Stella pointed out picking up some faint signal on the PKE. "Zach you and I check get back at the lobby."

The two then took the elevator back down to the said lobby, thinking fast Lincoln gestured for Lana to stick close to him, for protection. ''Good idea. Lana keep right behind me.''

His sister simply gave him a salute ready to follow along after him. "I think Clyde should go the other way since we're covering this hallway." She pointed out.

Playfully sighing Rusty just had to add a funny one-liner to all this. "Yeah, good idea. All the better to destroy the place.''

Thus, Clyde went down one hallway as Rusty took the left to patrol leaving Lincoln & Lana to check out the middle path.

-to be continued

Now first off, I didn't plan for this fic to take a lot from Ghostbusters: Afterlife. But the undertones are there though. Also, this is set during the summer vacation after Lincoln's circle of friends finish 8th grade. First few chapters will be the gang starting things up: building the equipment, getting a vehicle, tools, containment unit. Then the first big job comes in at Royal Woods Spa. Yes, there will be sliming. Lots of sliming. They ghosts slime a lot. Know that the ghosts can and will be sliming people. No firehouse though, but they'll be using some random unused bunker Lisa built sometime. As for ghosts? Many will be from the two-cartoon series, the games, and even the IDW Comics. A few will be original creatures from my own mind.

I hope you'll enjoy this story so please review it. Please read and review this and my other stories which range from: Yokohama Night Monsters, Power Rangers Dimension Legends, Loud House: Rise of Akira, ELG The Series, EL Digital Saviors, Cybertronian Invasion, Loud House Build Fighters, and Maverick Hunter KLN to satisfy your craving for bizarre crossovers.
