It was 2 days before Christmas and almost all of the decorations Are up . Just then Miguel saw his grandfather 's photo on the ofrenda he smiled realising it was his first Christmas with the whole family since he left. It was also Socorro's first Christmas he smiled at the thought.
"Hola Miguel ". Coco said
"Hola Hermanita what are you doing ?" Miguel asked
"Oh I just went shopping with Mama and Mirabel look what she got me". Coco exclaimed whilst she grabbed a red dress with a golden headband to accessorise
"Wow that's gorgeous it really suits you". Miguel replied
"Muchas gracias hermano, hey are you ok?" Coco questioned
"Estoy bien just looking at Papa Hector's picture ". Miguel smiled
"Si you miss him don't you". Coco sympathised
Miguel nodded. "But you know what I have you , Mama , papa ,Mirabel and the rest of the family ". Miguel stated
"You think Mirabel is part of this family ". Coco asked shocked
"Si of course ". Miguel replied
"Oooooh somebody's in love". Coco cooed
"Stop it I am NOT in love with Mirabel". Miguel blushed with embarrassment
"I think not". Coco smirked
Before Miguel could reply he was caught off by the sound of the family yelling as soon as the door opened. Then he Heard Mirabel's laughter and it's like his world just stopped. Coco snickers mouthing the words "I told you so". Miguel just Rolled his eyes
"Hola Miguelito". Luisa smiled
"Hola Mama". Miguel replied
Miguel saw Mirabel come in and it's like his whole world just stopped . She was stunning and he wouldn't change a thing.
"I will close that". Rosa whispered
"Hola Miguel well what do you think". Mirabel gestured to her dress
"Absolutely S-s-stunning b-b-beautiful". Miguel stammered
"Really". Mirabel giggles
"SI". He yelled
~~~ In the Land Of the dead ~~~
"Hola Mi Amor como estás ?" Hector asked
"Buena Mi Corazón I think that's the last order before we close up shop right before Christmas ". Imelda kissed him on the cheek
"Si you have been busy this year come to think a lot has happened ". Hector thought
"Si The festival, meeting Coco, you having your first día de los muertos". Imelda listed
"If it wasn't for our grandson I wouldn't be here with you and Coco and the rest of the family". Hector replied
"Si I need to thank our Miguel for that". Imelda nodded
"Hey what's wrong Mi Amor que pasa?" Hector questioned
"It's just I Don't know what I'd do if I lost you". Imelda's voice cracked
"Hey it's ok I am right here and I am not going anywhere ". Hector looked at her sincerely
They ended up hugging and holding each other close feeling like the world was stopping every second. When they finally let go they were both smiling.
Hector kissed her on the cheek and decided to help Rosita in the kitchen.
"Someone's smitten ". Oscar cooed
"Yes smitten kitten ". Felipe replied
"Oh shush get out of here you two". Coco shooed
"Gracias Mija. Although I do have one question : What is smitten kitten?" Imelda asked
"Oh it's a thing the kids are saying these days it means that you are falling or swooning in love". Coco replied
"Oh I see well thank you for the information ". Imelda smiled
~~~In La cocina~~~
"So are you nervous for your first Christmas with the family". Oscar asked
"No not really although I am very excited to spending it with Coco after so many years". Hector states
"Well that's good, hey did you hear Miguel got a girlfriend ". Oscar said
"W-W-What". Hector looked stunned
"Well not a Novia just a girl who's a friend ". Oscar stated
"Perrrro he wants to ask her out ". Felipe finished
WHAT I can't believe this he wants to ask her out". Coco stood there shook
"Mija you're a grown woman it's rude to ease drop". Hector stood firm
"Lo siento papa I just couldn't help it our Miguelito is growing up". Coco put a hand over where her heart used to be
"Okay enough banter everyone out of the kitchen ". Rosita grabbed the rolling pin and waved it around to shoo everyone out
"Vamos Abuelo do you mind if you you help me set up the table ". Victoria asked politely
"Si Mija ". Hector replied
~~~ Back in land of the living~~~
Everyone was laughing and enjoying food and music and family. The sprit of the dead Rivera Family surrounding them when suddenly Abel and Rosa put the mistletoe up in the middle of the living room to see if Miguel would make his move.
"What are you guys doing". Miguel whispered
"Getting you ready to make your move". Rosa insisted
"Ready ". Abel gestured
"No No No not happening this is not happening ". Miguel refused
"Miguel where are you?" Mirabel was looking all around for Miguel
"Go AHORA". Abel shooed
So reluctantly Miguel stepped forward out from behind the Christmas tree. Little did He know Hector was watching this whole fiasco play out. The dead Rivera family had just finished their dinner and now it was time to watch what Hector called a 'live performance '. He loved watching every second.
"There you are I have to talk to you ". Mirabel exclaimed
"A-a-about what". Miguel stammered
"How do I say this ". Mirabel Breathed. I am going back to Columbia after New Years to help My family with the bakery and see my new baby Prima.
"WHAT". Miguel yelled
"Ssssh not so loud. But yes I have to go back but it will only be for a couple of months I promise". Mirabel shushed.
"You'll still have me for Christmas and New Years ". Mirabel hugged Miguel
Hector felt sad at that moment as he knew that woman that his grandson loved was going away and it was out of his reach to try and stop it from happening
"Oh Mijo everything will be fine I promise ". Hector sympathised
Then Hector looked up to see the beautiful Mistletoe hung in the centre of the courtyard . Then he looked down to see Miguel looking deeply into Mirabel's eyes as he smiled. "He is Finally going to do it". Hector thought
"Que?" Mirabel questioned
"Nothing just noticing how beautiful you are in this Moonlight ". Miguel shook his head
"I am not that beautiful Miguel your just exaggerating". Mirabel blushed
"Oh but I am not". Miguel cooed
As he pulled Mirabel in for a kiss that was passionate and full of love at the same time it was tender and sweet it lasted for a few seconds before Mirabel pulled away.
"What was that for?" Mirabel blushed
"Everything, Mira and I have been in love with you since the first day I laid eyes on you Your smile your laugh everything not to mention your work with a needle and a thread". Miguel stated starry eyed
Hector laughed as he heard what his grandson had just said looking down as he thought of all the wonderful things that reminded him of Imelda and all the things he loved about her. As well as remembering All the good things that happened this year.
"Porque Miguel why me?" Mirabel started . "You could have any other girl you want so why me. "I am clumsy and awkward I don't sing that well and I'm just stupid". Mirabel explained
To silence her Miguel pulled her in for another magical kiss and this time Mirabel did not refuse . Instead she pulled in closer until they finally broke apart.
"Because you matter to me your Important your my whole world Mira and I couldn't live a day without you by my side ". Miguel exclaimed
"Oh Miguel ". Mirabel placed a hand over her heart
"So I am not giving you up without a fight MI AMOR ". Miguel announced
Hector smiled just then Imelda trying to watch Miguel and Mirabel talking it out and Hector couldn't help but kiss wife passionately and full of love Imelda was taken by surprise.
"Hector wh-" Imelda said stunned
"That's for everything you do for this family and myself". Hector placed another kiss on his wife's lips
"And this for giving us another chance Mi vida". Hector states
"Pero you were Murdered how can you forgive me I didn't even hear you out". Imelda starts
"Sssh we cant change the past but we can shape the future Mi Amor and like Miguel said I am NOT giving you up without a fight and I am not loosing you , Coco or this family ever again do you hear me?"
Imelda was shocked by how much determination her husband had to not loose her again. She just smiled nodded and placed a tender but sweet and soft kiss on his lips. Then they continued watching the show.
"So I have but just one question to ask Mirabel". Miguel stated
"Hm what's that?" Mirabel asked
"Will you become my Beautiful and loving Novia?" Miguel waited
"SI". She yelled
Miguel then picked her up and twirled her around and placed yet another soft kiss on her lips. The two lovers could not be happier as they danced to the music that was played from one of the towns Mariachi bands.
Hector did the same to his wife and they danced and twirled like no tomorrow till their feet hurt.
Luisa was watching from the window as she smiled at her son and his new Novia and saw how happy he was then walked away.
AN: Well that's it I hope you enjoyed this Christmas Coco /Encanto crossover I had a blast writing this and I hope you enjoyed reading it I just started crying for some parts of the story so yeah I hope you enjoyed it.
