The LoudBusters 7

Ok my loyal readers here's crossover of a different type... This time I've added Ghostbusters to my Loud House story hybrids. But this is based off the Ghostbusters/Ghostbusters 2/Ghostbusters: The Videogame (Realistic version)/Ghostbusters: Afterlife timeline. What if during the stream crossing that defeated Gozer in the first film damaged the dimensional fabric between the Ghostbusters dimension and the Loud House? Sending ghosts to their world. Now Lisa will be the one alongside Liam & Lucy in creating the tech to capture and contain the spooks. Frankly if Elisha Gray and Alexander Bell can both independently create the telephone then Lisa Loud can develop the proton pack equipment. Rated K+ for mild innuendo, a dark tone/plot, scary monsters, or frightening monster descriptions.

-chapter 7 - Couldn't hit a Broadside!

Inside the ballroom the Ghostbusters hid under a table. Using the Ecto-Goggles Clyde scanned around then saw the spook circling a chandelier. "There! There it is, on the ceiling around the chandelier. Have a look Lola."

Taking the Ecto-Goggles Lola scowled, the thing flying around the ceiling wasn't responsible until the tech picked up another signal at the bar. "Eh? That's not the one that got me.'' Lola glared then pointing at another larger spook stuffing its face near the bar. "That one did it. That's the jerk that slimed my beautiful face.''

"Two ghosts? I thought they only had one spook running roughhouse here!?'' Rusty gasped.

"No, they simply said they had activity here. The staff never specified exactly how many they had terrorizing the spa.'' Stella elaborated.

"Stella you can be a real buzzkill sometimes. Why?'' Rusty legitimately asked dead serious in with his tone.

To that remark she simply shrugged, unsure how to even answer it. Or if she even wanted to. Continuing to scan with his ecto-goggles Clyde realized they needed a plan if they were going to catch their first ghost.

Cracking his knuckles Lincoln realized it was now or never, they had to nab this spook. Failure was not an option. He gestured to everyone to prime their Neutrona Wands. He made sure their aim was just right, then he came the order. "All right, people. Ready? Throw 'em!"

They let loose their Proton Beam fire... Only things didn't exactly go as planned. The chandelier ghost flew away and fazed through a wall, escaping. The at the bar seemingly vanished. And then the poor chandelier's chain broke, falling onto a table and smashing it to bits.

Outside the ballroom in the lobby the Spa Manager is getting deeply worried, especially from the noise being made. Frantic he tried opening the door. And finds its locked.

Back in the ballroom Stella felt like lower than a slug, mostly because of the damage to the aforementioned chandelier. "I did that! Sorry! My fault I know... '' Stella confessed.

Naturally though Rusty had another comeback for just such an occasion. "Oh, that's ok. Plenty of stuff in here coulda broken the fall. The table just happened to be in the right place at the right time.''

"Yeah, well according to Lisa we should never ever cross the Proton Streams.'' Clyde recalled suddenly.

"Why? Electric shock or something?'' Rusty asked leaning by the wall.

"In a few words. Bad.'' Lincoln said simply.

"Lincoln, Stella I'm really fuzzy on this whole good-bad thing with you and crossing the streams. How is it bad? Tell me how's it bad?'' Rusty asked curious.

Remembering the short brainy girl's explanation Stella then told him why. "In Lisa's notes I quote ''Try to imagine all life as you know it stopping instantly and every molecule of your body exploding at lightspeed.'' She referred to it as total protonic reversal. Not good.''

"Uh thanks Stella. Good safety tip... I think. Ok no stream crossing. Remember that people.'' Rusty deadpanned patting her on the shoulder. The other spook at the bar peeked over the stools. "All right there he is. Zach, take the left. Clyde, take the right. Okay, Linc. Give me one eye on the outside... Zach!" Zach fires.

The spook screamed flying away. "Clyde!" Rusty yelled to him.

Again, Clyde fired his Neutrona Wand. Destroying crystal glasses, a huge layer cake, as the gaseous pest flew behind the bar. With everything going so crazy so fast Clyde kept firing and kept firing even after it flew away and through the wall.

''Okay, all right, hold it! Hold it! Hold it! Whoa! Easy! Easy!'' Rusty half hollered to Clyde (by now he quit firing).

"Ahh nice shooting, fellers! Ya couldn't hit a broadside of me barn! That or ya were tryin' to blow the place to bits!'' Liam chimed in from the bunker's radio.

"Not helping Liam.'' Stella complained to him.

The nasty spook then tried hiding at the ceiling, its panting showed somehow it was seemingly getting tired out. In fact, in Stella's mind might just be the opportunity they needed. "Guys the last throw took something out of him, but he's gonna try to move! I need some; I need some room to put the trap down. Give me some room to throw it."

Following the Filipina's instructions Clyde then chucked aside a nearby table. "We gotta get the trap in the clear! Table you gotta go!" Lincoln kicked another nearby table out of the way.

As Rusty went to his table tossing one caught his eye, he HAD to do the magic tablecloth trick. He just had to. "I gotta do it... WHOO!" Rusty grinned yanking the tablecloth off the table, leaving the vase of flowers still standing. "HAH! Flowers' still there! Who's awesome I am!"

"Ok I've had enough! Let's soak this puppy!" Zach growled whipping out his proton blaster. "Okay, on my signal. McBride, I want confinement streams from you." Okay? Go!" Clyde fired and hit the spook, holding him. "Okay, hold him up. He's gonna try moving! Hold him up. Hold him. Spokes go!" Then Rusty fires, hitting the ghost holding as well.

"Oh no Mr. Slimebucket you ain't goin' that way! I'm takin' you out and not on some date either!'' Lincoln growled firing his equipment.

"Here since ya liked our Proton Beam Special so much have some more! Ahahah!" Rusty cackled helping Zach blast the spook.

Keeping watch as the boys continued to confine the pesky paranormal vermin Stella realized this was working. " It's working! Just a little more. Little more... Yes!"

Like Lincoln did earlier Stella gestured to her friends to slowly start bringing him down closer to the trap. ''You got him! You guys got him! Don't cross the streams. Hold him so can I throw the trap!'' Stella called out rolling the trap along the floor.

Handing the switch to his slimed sister Lincoln figured Lola wanted some payback. "Lola, I'll let you do the honors."

"Proud too Linky. You! Yeah you! Maybe next time ya won't slime a pageant girl when her brother's got a ghost blasting gun!'' Lola growled pointing at the contained spook.

It simply growled back at her as the streams slowly lowered the evil spook down towards the floor, where the group would soon trap it.

"Loud. McBride. Shorten your stream! Don't be blowing my face clean off!'' Zach yelled.

"Roger that Zach." Lincoln said shortening his particle stream.

"All right. Lola's opening the trap now; don't look into it!" Stella said as the young blonde pressed the switch opening the trap.

By now Lincoln had one final step. "Alright turn off the streams as soon as Lola closes the trap. Get ready. She's doing it, now!"

Quickly they all stop firing and saw the nasty ghost sucked into the trap. The Ghostbusters gaze at it, still keeping their Neutrona Wands guns pointed, just in case. Looking at the ghost contained in the trap Zach had the biggest grin on his face. "Well, that wasn't really hard, was it guys?'' Zach snarked blowing dust off his hand then rubbing it on his jumpsuit. Everyone simply gave him a collection of glares. "What?" He asked confused.

The small light adorning the trap flashed on, showing the spook was captured inside. "We got him. Guys we got it, it's in there." Stella said seeing the ghostly pest was safely inside.

"Heh. That'll teach you!" Lola sassed giving the trapped spook a raspberry as a final insult.

Meanwhile back out in the lobby a crowd had showed up, with all the noise going on inside the wondered just what in the world was going in there. The spa manager had had enough of this nonsense, he wanted that door open immediately! "Mr. Fritz, quickly. I want the door opened! Now! Stand over there as I...!"

Suddenly as if on cue kicking open the doors Rusty (and grinning) proudly declared. "Well, we came, we saw, we kicked its sorry hind end!"

Naturally Lincoln had to go adding his own sardonic one-liner. "Dang it! What a knockabout of pure fun that was!" Still, he was as happy as a wolf in a house full of hens.

"We got it! Here! We got it!'' Stella called out holding up the stenchy smoking trap.

The manager fought back his urge to vomit form the stink. "Ugh!... What is it? Hopefully there won't be more of them around here."

Taking out a small paranormal field guide from his Clyde explained just what exactly the spa staff had been dealing with. "Ok sir, what you have there is what is referred to as a focused, non-terminal repeating phantasm, or a Class Five full roaming vapor. Nasty one, too I'll tell you that much."

"Ok my man let's talk business here. First off, we're need some serious big ones here. Like $76,485.96?" Rusty figured since Stella was mouthing the many numbers. ''Give or take several odds and ends maybe I guess.'' Rusty added smirking.

Flabbergasted at how high the Ghostbuster's service was the manager was livid and refused to pay such an insane price. "Over $76,000 dollars! That is insane! Had no idea it'd so outrageous! No. No. I refuse to support that sort of robbery. Had no idea you brats were such extortionists."

They figured several high-profile clients would try that, so they had a very simple backup plan. "Hmm? Really? Well, that's ok sir 'cuz we can just let it go. Right back into its natural habitat.'' Stella said with a sly wink.

She handed the trap to Zach & Lincoln who were going to let it go back into the ballroom. "Eh you heard the lady I say we let it go!'' Zach hooted out.

"Oh, that we can.'' Clyde added.

Now Lincoln got into the act, just hamming it up. "Ok Clyde where should we release it to? Ballroom? Elevators?'' Lincoln naturally had to chime in. "Ahah! I know the top story penthouses.''

Fearing the sort of damage, the thing could do if released, the panicked manager reluctantly agreed to pay. "NO! Anything! Please... just take it out of here.''

"Great using our business sir. Take care.'' With a sly wave goodbye Stella said walking away.

As the now triumphant youths walked their way outside, guests could see a subtle confident swagger in their step. But an even bigger crowd formed outside the spa. Everyone wanted to know just what in the name of heaven happened at Royal Woods Spa. One reporter was a little too close to Lincoln's nose. "Uh sir can you tell us what exactly happened inside Royal Woods Spa this afternoon?"

''Well, they had a haunting by two ghosts." Clyde told them.

"And we took care of 'em." Zach confirmed brandishing their now contained spook.

The trap was still giving off a foul vapor trail, something the many reporters quickly noticed, covering up their noses. They figured thought would keep the stench out. Didn't work too well though. "So, who're you youths?" The reporter asked.

''Simple we're the best..." Lincoln started to say.

''We're the beautiful... " Stella continued.

"We're the only... Ghostbusters!" Clyde hooted out.

Hoping they make a decent impression Rusty handed out their card, complete with email address & phone number. "First off we're open twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week! No job's too big! No fees are too big!" Rusty boasted.

"Hey, we still need to track down that other one. Trail's leading this way... Hmm towards HQ." Clyde mentioned then puzzled by the ghost's direction.

"Sorry adoring public but my brother needs to get back to his job. Go on. Shoo!" Lola said shooing the crowd away.

And just as quickly as the swarm of reporters appeared they dispersed as the Ghostbusters packed into Ecto-RW, started her engine, and drove off sirens blazing.

-to be continued

Now first off, I didn't plan for this fic to take a lot from Ghostbusters: Afterlife. But the undertones are there though. Also, this is set during the summer vacation after Lincoln's circle of friends finish 8th grade. First few chapters will be the gang starting things up: building the equipment, getting a vehicle, tools, containment unit. Then the first big job comes in at Royal Woods Spa. Yes, there will be sliming. Lots of sliming. They ghosts slime a lot. Know that the ghosts can and will be sliming people. No firehouse though, but they'll be using some random unused bunker Lisa built sometime. As for ghosts? Many will be from the two-cartoon series, the games, and even the IDW Comics. A few will be original creatures from my own mind.
