"How could he do this to me?" Gaia cried.
Alexa took her friend into her arms and comforted the best she could. She stroked Gaia's long, ice blonde hair and hoped to take away the tears in her crystal blue eyes. Seth had hurt Gaia by cheating on her for months before finally leaving her for Becky.
"God, I'm so stupid," Gaia said.
"No, you're not," Alexa said.
"How could I not have known?" Gaia asked. "I was so fucking blind."
Alexa broke the hug and smiled at her friend. Seth had played Gaia good. Gaia came home to an apartment almost cleaned of everything. All she was left with was the bills and a few items that he had not cared to take.
"Seth is an idiot," Alexa said. "You're not stupid. He played you. He knew exactly what to say and do to keep you in the dark while he went and fucked that bitch. This is not your fault. If he was a man, he would have told you and broken up with you the normal way. He's a fucking coward, Gaia. A coward and an idiot. There's someone better out there waiting for you. Just you wait and see. One day you'll find him."
Gaia tried smiling back but the smile didn't reach her eyes. She knew Alexa meant well but it was just hard to see right now.
"He took my dog," Gaia said.
"I know," Alexa sighed. "We'll get your dog back somehow. I'm not gonna rest until Ghost is back home where he belongs."
"I wanna get back at him so bad," Gaia said.
"Maybe you should summon Father Frost then," Alexa said.
"Father fuck what?" Gaia asked.
Alexa snorted in laughter and picked up a book from the coffee table.
"I found this at a yard sale the other day. It's an old book about demons. How they work and how to summon them. I came across an interesting one last night," Alexa said.
"How to summon them? Just a random book telling you how to summon a shit loads of demons? Sure, that makes perfect sense," Gaia said.
"I doubt the owner knew what she had. Probably just something that collected dust without her ever opening it. I tried googling for it. I found it on a list of books that should no longer exist. It was supposed to have been destroyed by fire. Either there was an extra copy, or someone saved it and hid it," Alexa said.
"Or it's a hoax," Gaia said.
"It might be," Alexa shrugged. "It's still an old and interesting book though."
Alexa opened the book to the right page and showed it to Gaia.
"Finn Balor," Alexa said. "Also known as Father Frost."
"Because he comes during Wintertime?" Gaia asked.
"Because he brings Winter with him," Alexa smirked.
"So what? He'll turn the world into Winter all year round? Bring a new ice age upon us?" Gaia asked.
"I don't know. Maybe," Alexa said. "I just found him very interesting."
Gaia looked down at the picture again and looked a bit closer.
"Why the fuck does he have an icicle between his legs?" Gaia asked.
"It's his dick," Alexa laughed.
"His dick? Who the fuck would take an icy dick inside them?" Gaia asked.
"He's a demon. I doubt people will be given a choice," Alexa said.
"That's why he's so interesting to you, isn't it?" Gaia giggled. "Because of his dick."
"That's part of it," Alexa admitted.
"I wonder if it'll melt inside a warm pussy," Gaia said.
The two women looked at each other and then burst out laughing. It felt good to Gaia to be able to laugh for a moment despite the heartache following soon again.
"Anyway," Alexa closed the book. "It's getting late. Let's turn in."
Alexa yawned and placed the book back on the coffee table. She got up from the couch and walked towards the hall.
"You can stay as long as you like," Alexa said.
"Thank you," Gaia said.
Alexa hit the light switch and left Gaia on the couch. As soon as Gaia heard Alexa close the bedroom door, she picked up her phone. At first she used her flashlight to read about the Father Frost demon again, and then she started googling. It took her to a lot of weird websites but there was so much more out there about him than what this old book said. A lot of people seemed to think he was real. She opened the book again and looked at the summoning spell.
"Is this real?" She mumbled. "Come on, Gaia, it's not fucking real. You've watched one too many horror movies."
She leaned back in the couch, closed her eyes, and sighed.
"But if it's not real, it won't hurt to try," she opened her eyes again. "Should I? What damage can it really do? God damn it, I need a fucking hobby. I doubt summoning demons can be classified as a hobby."
