Hello, everyone! PHANTOMKNIGHTMARE47 here, with the first chapter to an M-rated rewrite of a Devil May Cry/Bloody Roar fanfiction. It's called Devil May Cry: Bestial Assault.
The plot goes like this, following the events of Devil May Cry 5, Nero is feeling stressed out due to the fact that his childhood friend and love-interest, Kyrie, has been dating someone else. However, Mr. Morrison walks up to Nero, saying that a client has a new job for Nero, cash-on-arrival. The client is revealed to be my DMC OC, Jacob Weston, and his girlfriend, Ramona Harrison, both of whom are Nephilim. They reveal to Nero that an unknown force has opened the gates of Gehenna, and released eight Demons: Vigoor, Alexei, Zedonius, Vulf, Elizabet, Genshin, Marbus, and the Water Dragon. Not only is Humanity in peril, but so are the Zoanthropes. Jacob reveals that some of the friends on his airship, the U.S.S Tatsumaki, are Zoanthropes, and Nero, Kyrie, Nico, Trish and Lady accompany Jacob across the globe and beyond in fighting Demons, traveling from Redgrave City, to Raccoon City, Willamette, Death City, and more. Along the way, Nero falls in love with Alice Tsukagami, a rabbit Zoanthrope who was a nurse.

Chapter 1: The New Job Request
Two millennia ago, a Demon by the name of Sparda, the "Legendary Dark Knight", took up a sword bearing his name for the sake of Humankind. With his weapon, he sealed the demon lord, Mundus, and his forces away in the pits of the Underworld. However, since Sparda was a Demon himself, his power was sealed away. He met a Human woman named Eva, and they fell in love and had twin sons, Dante and Vergil. However, one day, Sparda passed away due to natural causes. Mundus had sent a horde of demons to torment Sparda's family, resulting in Dante and Vergil being separated, and Eva being killed. Before his passing, Sparda armed his sons, gifting the claymore, Rebellion, to Dante, and giving the katana, Yamato, to Vergil. Dante opened up a business known solely as Devil May Cry, which specialized in exterminating Demons. Dante faced off against numerous foes, such as Mundus, the demon who had a hand in the death of Dante's mother, Arkham, a madman who wanted to obtain the power of Sparda, and a cult known as the Order Of The Sword. During his travels, he met a young man named Nero, who possessed a demonic right arm. After the defeat and ultimate death of the Order of the Sword's leader, a man named Sanctus, Dante gifted the sword, Yamato, to Nero. Nero became a successful Demon Hunter, working with Nicoletta Goldstein, or just Nico for short, who was the daughter of the late Agnus. However, a hooded figure attacked Nero, and tore his Devil Bringer arm clean off, to claim Yamato. And another demon by the name of Urizen attacked the Human World, but Dante, Nero and co. had help from an unknown man by the name of V. It was later revealed that V was the human half of Dante's twin brother, Vergil, whereas Urizen was Vergil's Demon half, Vergil, who was on the verge of death, separated his Human and Demon halves using Yamato. And Nero learned that Vergil was in fact his father. Dante went to confront Vergil, only this time, Dante was now armed with a new sword which bore his own name. While heading to fight Vergil himself, Nero's original Human arm regrew due to his demonic blood, and he manifested a physical transformation-type Devil Trigger form, with his Devil Bringer having manifested into Bringer Claws, which were astral arm constructs of demonic energy. After facing off against his Father, Dante and Vergil left to sever the roots of the Qliphoth tree, and seal the gates of the Underworld, even if it meant Dante and Vergil being possibly trapped there forever.
There was also another species that existed. This race was known as Zoanthropes, a race of Humans who could transform into Were-Animals based around wild dogs, big cats, birds of prey, reptiles and amphibians, arthropods, and even mythical creatures at will. A majority of them fought each other in hand-to-hand combat. One young man was Yugo Ogami, an American Gray Wolf Zoanthrope who was born to an unnamed mother, and a Zoanthrope mercenary known as Yuji Ogami, who lost his life to Tylon's inhumane experimentation. Yugo made some friends in the form of Alice Tsukagami, a rabbit Zoanthrope who was a nurse, Long Shin, a Chinese tiger Zoanthrope who was a gifted martial artist, Kenji Ogami, a mole Zoanthrope, who was adopted by Yugo as his little brother, Alan Gado, a lion Zoanthrope who was a French mercenary and a family friend of Yugo, and others to name a few. Together, Yugo and his friends formed the World Of Coexistence, a group meant to form a union between Humans and Zoanthropes.
It cuts to a young man in a RV with a neon sign for Devil May Cry. He had silver hair in a faux-hawk, and blue eyes dressed in a blue hooded jacket, a tattered crimson shirt, and black pants with military-style combat boots. This was Nero, a Demon Hunter who managed to bring down the Order Of The Sword, and helped Dante and co. save the world from destruction. He was down in the dumps, due to the fact that his childhood friend and crush, Kyrie, had started seeing someone else.
'Damn. I just can't believe that Kyrie is seeing another guy, due to all the shit that's happened. Fuck.' Nero muttered in his head. He then heard someone knocking on the door, and he opened his RV's door, revealing a man of African-American descent, wearing a suit, tie, and fedora. This was J.D Morrison, a man who brought Dante his demon hunting job-requests. He also acted as a chauffeur, who drove Dante to his jobs.
"You must be Nero," said Morrison. "My name is J.D Morrison. I'm the man who brought Dante his job-requests in Demon Hunting, and often drove him to his jobs."
"What brings you here, Morrison?" said Nero, eyeing the man.
"It's my first time I've brought you a job-request for a Demon Hunting job." said Morrison. "An unknown figure has forced open the Gates of Gehenna, a portion of Hell. As a result, eight Demons known as Vigoor, Marbus, Alexei, Zedonius, Genshin, Vulf, Elizabet, and The Water Dragon, have been released. Both Humans and Zoanthropes are being tormented by these monsters."
"Zoanthropes?" said Nero, with a perplexed look on his face.
"The Zoanthropes are a race of Humans who can become Were-Animals at will." said Morrison. "It's up to you, your friends, and the clients to stop these Demons." he then heard footsteps. "Speak of the devil, here they are now." two figures arrived. The first was a young man with russet-brown hair with red streaks and a cyan fringe, and chartreuse-green eyes, dressed in black and red JRPG clothing, with steel-toed boots, fingerless gloves, and a jet-black trench coat with red accents. On his back was a claymore-sized sword that resembled Dante's old sword, Rebellion, crossed with Arondight from Fate/ZERO. Its hilt had Alastor's wings in place of femurs, and the handle was similar to that of Demon Sword Dante. The skull had ruby gemstones in the eye-sockets, and he had dual handguns similar to Ebony & Ivory from the 2012 Devil May Cry game holstered on his sides, one was gold and burgundy with an image of a sun, while the other was silver and indigo, with an image of a crescent moon.
The other figure was a young girl in her 20s with golden-blonde hair, and cyan eyes, wearing a black denim jacket over a belly-shirt, jean-shorts, and combat boots, as well as fingerless gloves. On her back was a sword that resembled the Sword Of Omens from ThunderCats crossed with the Valentine snake-sword from SoulCalibur V. Like the young man, she also had a sheathed katana on her hip, and dual handguns.
"Hello there, Nero." said the young man, sounding like Trent Mercer, the White Drago Ranger from Power Rangers Dino Thunder. "My name is Jacob Weston, and my girlfriend and I are Demon Hunters just like you."
"My name's Ramona Harrison, and I'm Jacob's girlfriend." said the girl, sounding like Velvet Crowe.
"Jacob and Ramona here are Nephilim, they're hybrids between Angels and Demons." said Morrison.
"I take it you're here about those Demons, too?" said Nero
"That's right. We aren't going to let them ruin this world, or any other world." said Jacob. "We have some Zoanthropes on our ship, too."
"We're tagging along too." said a voice. Nero turned to see Trish, a blonde demoness with lightning manipulation who bore a resemblance to Dante's late mother, Lady, a demon hunter who was known as the Walking Arsenal, armed with dual handguns and the Kalina Ann II, Kyrie, a former songstress for the Order Of The Sword who was Nero's former lover, and Nico, who was Nero's mechanic and the daughter of the late Agnus, a member of the Order Of The Sword.
"Now that Dante's trapped in the Underworld for God knows how long, it's up to us to wipe out whatever demons that are left." said Lady. The gang then looked to see a giant airship that resembled a cross between the Misfortune's Keep from Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitzu and the Third Fleet's Research Base from Monster Hunter World.
"Whoa…" said Nero, stunned to see such an aircraft.
"This is mine and Ramona's home base and airship, the U.S.S Tatsumaki," said Jacob. The gang then boarded the craft, they looked to see what appear to be bipedal cat-creatures.
"Are those…the Felynes?" said Nero, stunned to see such creatures.
"That's right." said Jacob, nodding in confirmation. Suddenly, some figures came out of their bedrooms onboard the ship. "Here are some of my friends, Nero."
The first figure was a man who resembled Kenshiro crossed with Johnathan Joestar. He had silver-white hair and cyan eyes. "Hello there. My name is William Scott Drake III, and I'm a white lion Zoanthrope from London, England." said William, sounding like Harry Potter.
The second was a bubbly-looking girl with the same hairdo as Chun-li, dressed in a pink qipao, and had a muscular appearance. "Nihao. My name is Meiling Feilong, and I'm a giant panda Zoanthrope from Beijing, China." said the girl, sounding like Jenny Wakeman.
The third was another young man in black and white JRPG-styled clothing, with black and white hair and baby blue eyes.. "My name is Andrew Thompson, and I'm a Night Light based Zoanthrope from Seattle." the young man said, sounding like Reiji Ozora.
"My name is Justin "Proudfoot" Damon, and I'm a great maned wolf Zoanthrope who is a member of the Akomish tribe." said a young man with tanned skin, dressed in a denim jacket over a black shirt, jeans, and sneakers, sounding like Jacob Black from Twilight.
"I'm Adrian Park, and I'm a Chinese-American South China tiger who grew up in Chinatown." said a young man dressed in orange and black, with hair styled like Kyojuro Rengoku.
"I'm Satsuki Shirayuki, and I'm a snow-leopard Zoanthrope from Japan's Hokkaido district." said a woman with a muscular appearance.
"My name is Magnus Skarsgard, and I am a polar bear Zoanthrope from Norway." said a young man with platinum-blonde hair and pewter eyes.
"Hello, everyone." said Nero. He then looked to see a young woman in nurse attire. "Who's she?" he asked
"That's Alice Tsukagami. She's a rabbit Zoanthrope who works as our team's medic." said Jacob, explaining everything.
"Hello, Nero." said Alice.
"Hello there, Alice." said Nero, blushing a little bit.
"Alrighty, everyone. Our first stop is New Raccoon City." said Jacob. "Prepare for takeoff."
"Mew got it, Meowster Jacob!" said a Felyne colored like a tortoise-shell cat, as he headed to the steering wheel, and the Tatsumaki then lifted off.
"Our first stop is New Raccoon City." said Jacob, announcing their first destination.
Meanwhile, we turn to see a hooded figure witnessing this, until he reveals himself to be a demon. He resembled a cross between Asmodeus from Superhero Senki and the Hell-Gifftarian from Kamen Rider Revice. His head was like that of Oblivian crossed with Asmodeous, with Vasto Lorde Ichigo's horns. He also had Darkus Linehalt's wings. This was Malevelor, a Demon who wanted to enslave Mankind, so he did so, by forcing open the gates of Gehenna, releasing the eight demons.
"Soon, Mankind shall know the true meaning of Hell on Earth." said Malevelor, sounding like Momonga from Overlord
Location: New Raccoon City
South Africa
It cuts to a woman with brown hair and blue eyes in police attire at the S.T.A.R.S base for New Raccoon City. This was Jill Valentine. Jill was infected by the T-Virus during the zombie outbreak in Raccoon City, until she merged with a Slimegernon demon named Leerah, and gained demonic powers, and Devil Arms of her own. She fell in love with a high-school student named Max Evans, and she faced off against numerous Zombies and Demons altogether.
"It's so nice here in New Raccoon City," said Jill, smiling a little. "All the new schools, and the fact there's five cupcake shops here. With two of 'em that use vegan ingredients, too." She then heard an engine winding down, and heard her smartphone ring.
"Hey, Max." said Jill, answering her phone.
"Jill, did you see that there's a big, honking airship in the outskirts of the city?" said Max, sounding like Jack D'Arby.
"That's peculiar." said a voice belonging to Leerah, a Slimegernon demoness who fused with Jill during the time of the zombie outbreak in Raccoon City in the past.
"Shall we investigate?" said Jill's sword Devil Arm, Revenant, sounding similar to Percy Weasley. Revenant's demon form resembled Jin Kazuma from Tekken crossed with a young Joseph Joestar.
"Yep." said Jill, she then got onto her motorcycle, and drove off. When she arrived, she looked to see Max, with a girl with brown and red hair, and green eyes wearing a belly-shirt under a black jacket with flame decals, jeans, and boots. This was Katie Foster, a female Cambion. When they arrived, they saw the USS Tatsumaki
"Holy schnikes!" blurted out one of Jill's Devil Arms, Hellhound. His demon form resembled a demonic rottweiler. "That looks like one badass airship!"
"Agreed." said Archangel, who was Hellhound's sister. They then saw Nero, Lady, Kyrie, Nico, Jacob, Andrew, Magnus, William, and Ramona exit the craft.
"Hello there. Welcome to New Raccoon City." said Jill. "My name's Jill. Jill Valentine, and I'm a member of NRC's S.T.A.R.S unit."
"I'm Nero." said Nero, introducing himself.
"My name is Trish, and it's a pleasure to meet you." said Trish
"My name's Lady, and I'm a demon hunter myself." said Lady
"I'm Kyrie, and it's nice to meet you all." said Kyrie.
"My name is William Scott Drake III, and it's quite a pleasure to meet you." said William, kneeling
"I'm Andrew Thompson, nice to meet you." said Andrew.
"My name is Justin 'Proudfoot' Davidson, and I'm from the Akomish tribe." said Justin, introducing himself.
(Author's Note: That was a reference to the game, InFAMOUS: Second Son)
"My name is Meiling Feilong, and it's a pleasure to meet you." said Meiling, bowing in respect.
"I'm Satsuki Shirayuki, and it's quite the pleasure to meet you." said Satsuki, the snow leopard Zoanthrope bowing in respect.
"My name is Adrian Park, and it's good to meet you." said Adrian
Meanwhile, we turn to see Malevelor conversing with a gigantic snake-like demon who resembled Jormungandr from SMITE and the Great Devourer from Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu. This was Jormungandr, the "World Serpent '', in Norse mythology, Loki had procreated with a giantess, and she had three children. The first was Jormungandr, the world serpent who Odin, king of the Norse Gods, cast into the sea. The second was Hela, who became the Norse Goddess of the Underworld and Ruler of Helheim, and the third and final child was Fenrir, who bit the hand off of Tyr, the Norse God of Law.
"I want you to exterminate the two Nephilim, the grandson of Sparda, and their friends." said Malevelor, facing the World Serpent.
"Consider it done." said Jormungandr, as he then dove into the sea.
Meanwhile, we see Jill's crush, Max Evans, with his siblings, Nate and Gale, who helped raise him following the passing of their parents, as well as Katie Foster, a female Cambion.
"So, there's these people who can turn into were-animals called Zoanthropes?" said Nate, sounding like Ryan Mitchell, the Titanium Ranger.
"Yes." said Jacob, nodding in confirmation "William here is a Zoanthrope based off of a white Transvaal lion."
"I'm a Zoanthrope based off of a great maned wolf." said Justin.
"My Zoanthrope base is a Night Light, a hybrid dragon between a Night Fury and a Light Fury from How To Train Your Dragon." said Andrew.
"My Zoanthrope base is a giant panda." said Meling
"My Zoanthrope base is a snow leopard." said Satsuki.
"Mine is of the polar bear." said Magnus
"Mine is an orange South China tiger." said Adrian
Suddenly, Jill got a phone-call from one of her workmates, Brad Vickers, who she had healed using Leerah's power.
"Whoa! Brad, what's going on?" said Jill, worried for her workmate and friend
"There's some big honking snake in the ocean, and it's causing trouble for the people fishing there!" said Brad on the other end. "It's fucking humongous! Plus, it's spewing out venom that's dissolving any military boats that try to attack it!"
"That would be Jormungandr." said a voice similar to Sirius Black from the live action Harry Potter movies, as a figure emerged from Jacob's sword. It was a figure in red and black armor similar to Koragg, but he resembled Kenshiro crossed with Son Goku, with Kyojuro Rengoku's hairstyle. This was Marauder, the demon form of Jacob's main sword Devil Arm.
"As in the "World Serpent"?" said Jill, shocked to hear this kind of news "I thought he existed in Norse mythology!"
"If I'm not wrong, and I'd like to be wrong, Jormungandr was one of the three children Loki had with a giantess." said Katie "Odin cast Jormungandr into the sea."
"Let's go investigate the beach." said Jill, as the gang headed to the beach, where they saw Jormungandr causing havoc
"Foolish mortals! Kneel before me! For, I am Ragnarok incarnate!" said Jormungandr. He then saw Nero and co "I smell…the descendant of Sparda, a human merged with a Slimegernon, a descendant of Elise Hart, some Zoanthropes, and two Nephilim. Have you come for your destruction?"
"We're here to slaughter your ass, you walking handbag!" said Nero, as he drew Red Queen. Max took out his own sword, Black Knight, which resembled Red Queen, but with a different color-scheme. Jacob and Ramona got out their weapons,
"Time to skin a snake!" said Nero, as he and the others rushed Jormungandr.
(Cue BGM: "The Rumbling" by SiM plays)
Nero and Max then slashed and sliced at Jormungandr, cutting into the monster's flesh, Jormungander then spewed a glob of venom, which hit a boat, dissolving it to a paste. Jill then shot the World Serpent's eyes out with Hellhound and Archangel.
"GAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH! You wretched whore!" snarled Jormungandr, as he tried to swallow Jill, Nero and the others whole, but then spat up blood when Nero, Jacob, Max, Ramona, Katie and Jill slashed and sliced up his insides, before it then collapsed, dead as a doornail. Jill then slashed open the monster's midsection with Revenant, and she and the others came out, drenched in Jormungandr's blood, which Leerah cleaned off of them.
"Ewwww…that was straight-up nasty." said Katie. Suddenly, Jormungandr's body transformed into a purple orb, and Jacob touched it, turning it into a whip similar to Alruna from Bayonetta. Some Hell-Prides appeared, and Jacob gave them lashes with the toxic whip. He even choked one with the whip, and the Hell-Prides dissolved away into nothingness.
Later, the gang were heading to the USS Tatsumaki, and they boarded the craft. "Our next destination is Willamette, Colorado." said Jacob, announcing their next destination. "We'll be meeting with Frank West, Chuck Greene, and Nick Ramos, three people who faced off against the hordes of the undead."
With that, the USS Tatsumaki then lifted off, and flew to Willamette, Colorado.

Next time on Devil May Cry: Bestial Assault, Nero, Jacob and co. arrive in Willamette, where they meet former newspaper photographer turned college professor, Frank West, as well as former motocross athlete turned gang-boss, Chuck Greene, and a auto-shop worker known as Nick Ramos, where they learn that Malevelor has allied with Albert Wesker, and the Willamette Mall is being attacked by not only Demons, but also Zombies and psychopaths. Now, it's up to Nero, Jill, Jacob, and their new allies to save Willamette from this nightmare. Next time: Chapter 2: Nightmare In Willamette!
