Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto

The Village Hidden in the Leaves (Konohagakure no Sato or just Konoha for short) in Fire country, one of five significant villages in the elemental nations, was home to a certain blonde-haired, blue-eyed, orange-wearing child prankster. His name is Naruto.

Running and ducking as he ran through the market district was one sweating and panting Naruto. "Why is it that I am always in these situations?" He thought. Currently on his tail was a mob of villagers eager to teach the demon child a lesson. "RUN, KIT RUN," I suddenly heard. I almost tripped over myself. "Who's there?" I yelled. Even the mob had stopped for a second looking confused but started after the blonde anyway. "OH SHIT," I suddenly heard once again. A quick turn told me nobody else heard it. "I'm finally going crazy," I thought. Unknown to all in a certain blonde's mind, a beast resided jaw slacked. "He wasn't supposed the hear that," the orange-furred beast thought.

"Crap, just what I needed, a stupid wall," I thought as I came to a dead end in an alley. I have always had crappy luck, but today was just not my day. I turned as I heard the mob come to a stop. "HAHAHA, we finally got you, demon brat," a guy said to my fear. I could see a leaf headband on his head, a ninja I recognized. Seeing no escape, I slumped slightly in defeat. Before I could react, two kunai were lodged in my hand and foot. "You're not going anywhere, runt. We have waited enough for this. IT'S TIME TO FINISH WHAT THE FOURTH STARTED!" the mob roared in agreement.

Before I could pass out from the pain, I caught a glimpse of purple hair "pretty," I heard myself say as I passed out. I could tell as I woke that I wasn't anywhere near Konoha. Looking around, I hear water drip. Great a sewer, my favorite place,' I thought sarcastically. Looking around and seeing weird blue and orange pipes, I curiously found no wounds on my body.

'Eh, got nothing better to do,' I shrugged. I walked for what seemed like forever until I hit a set of bars with a piece of paper with the word seal written. 'Weird' that's when I finally noticed the air coming from the darkness beyond the bars. That's when I looked over. Red eyes as big as me were looking straight at me. Its slit-like pupils are looking eerily on. "AAAAAHHHHHH" I fell to the ground, scared as I had never been. "HAHAHAHA, fear for your life, mortal, you're in the presence of the great Kyuubi, no kitsune" All I could was sweatdrop at the introduction until it hit me just who this was. I looked around since it had come into the light. Orange fur, however, I could only stare at the nine swinging tails behind him.

'I think I broke him' when I suddenly saw the kit jump back and look at me. "You have bunny ears," I found myself blurting out.

"…."

"…."

Silence All around until "DEAR SAGE ALMIGHTY, I'M SEALED INSIDE AN IDIOT," a roar that shook the sewer sounded. "AND YOU DON'T MAKE FUN OF THE EARS YOU HEAR!"

I could only stare at the mountain-sized fox. Once I got over my shock, I finally realized I was talking to the nine-tailed fox. "What are you doing here, and where is here? I looked around, and I realized I knew nothing about this place. "We are inside your mind" I could only look on in shock. This dump was my mind that gave me an idea. I closed my eyes. If this was my mind, then I could change it to how I want it to look. "Kit, what are you doing?" the fox suddenly said.

"Shut up, I am trying something" I concentrated more than I had put into anything before. There was a giant ripple and then white when I opened my eyes again, I was standing on bright green grass surrounded by an ever-expanding forest with a massive tree at the center with a clearing that looked good for a nice nap. All of this was as the fox silently looked on as the bars of the cage bent and formed a collar around its neck.

"You have done more for me than you could realize," the fox said. I hoped he had a name as I realized early on that he was way more intelligent than just a mindless beast, and I could stop referring to it as it or fox. "What is your name?" I asked, hoping that doing this for him would give me that answer. "What makes you think I have a name?" it asked, curiosity etched into its voice. "You seem way more intelligent than I would say people portray you, and this is just a guess, but there has to be more to what happened the day you were sealed inside me." "So, this is the real you," I paled, realizing I had been duped. "What makes you say that?" I said, quoting what he had asked before. "Kurama," It suddenly said.

"What?" "You asked for my name. Now, as for your deduction, I can see that your father didn't pass on only his looks. To answer you, yes, a man with an orange spiral mask man attacked the day you were conceived, and with a jinchuuriki -one who holds a tailed beast- its seal is loosened. Simply put, he extracted me and put me in a genjutsu with those accursed eyes and went on to destroy the village." I could only gape at the rush of information, realizing he knew my parents as if he was reading my mind as he spoke. "You are not ready for that information. They had too many enemies that would parade over your dead body" "become strong, and then we will see. However, consider me your friend for what you have done for me.." I could only stare, shocked that I had made my first real friend.
