Looking confused as to why the Hokage was still here and shrugging he turned to the two fighters. The Uchiha had an egoistical smirk as he got into his stance for the interceptor fist. With both fighters ready, "BEGIN" was heard as the match started. "Give up. You are no match for an Uchiha. Only another Uchiha may defeat an Uchiha." Sasuke said, not paying attention to the fact that Naruto had moved already with Kurama's help. He was nothing but a blur. He didn't have the chance to make a sound as one solid hit to the solar plexus was enough to send him out of the ring and on the floor, gasping for breath. "Winner Naruto Uzumaki" Iruka stated, surprised.
Meanwhile, a specific silver-headed instructor could only scowl, "Damn demon brat, he should have surrendered or have been beaten down." Not noticing the contemplative look he was getting from both the Hokage and the blonde-haired fighter. "BUT IRUKA-SENSEI CHEATED. THERE IS NO WAY A PLEBIAN LIKE HIM COULD BEAT SASUKE-KUN," Sakura and Ino both shouted. "THAT'S ENOUGH. I started the match. Therefore, he didn't cheat. That was Sasuke's own fault for not paying attention." Iruka stated. "Now, let the final battle commence, as there are no other opponents. This last final battle will consist of free for all between you three," Iruka stated as he looked at the three finalists for the girls. The match quickly began with two in the basic academy stance and one in a fluid version of the Hyuuga Jyuuken. Ino and Sakura promptly teamed up, as Hinata was the more significant threat and charged. The fight was over in an instant. With the fluidity and flexibility of a dancer, Hinata quickly got into their guards and disabled their arms and legs, leaving them panting without the usage of their limbs. "Winner Hinata Hyuuga," Iruka announced, stunned at his student's grace.
"Now, onto shurikenjutsu, everyone," Iruka ordered everyone but not after the Hokage left to return to his duties. Everyone was lined up facing the targets one by one. Everyone had their turn until only Sasuke and Naruto were left. "COME ON, SASUKE-KUN, SHOW THE CLANLESS LOSER WHOS BETTER," Sakura yelled to the irritation of many, including her precious Sasuke-Kun. Meanwhile, certain blonde's parents were seething, wishing they could be outside to put that ignorant girl in her place. Sasuke showed prowess by hitting all ten targets with nine bullseyes with both kunai and shuriken. "Beat that loser," Sasuke said, walking away with a smirk. All the while, his fangirls were cheering on.
Naruto walked into position and was handed his kunai and shuriken by a grinning Mizuki. Instantly on guard, he inspected the kunai, realizing they were dull enough to not break his skin, much less pierce the wooden targets. He remembered accidentally discovering his wind nature chakra while training with Hinata. He thought of how he did it back then, imagining the scraping of air currents as they sharpened each other. Soon a light breeze could be felt coming from the kunai if you were close enough. 'So they did sabotage his grades,' Hinata thought after seeing what Naruto was doing. What no one knew was that Naruto, with the help of Hinata and her family, made contingency plans in the event that Naruto was sabotaged during his time in the academy, one of them being what was happening now.
Not wanting to tip off anyone watching what he was doing, he only used the minimum amount he could push out enough for them to stick but not go through the targets. Quickly throwing the weapons, they were all a blur as a sharp whistle was heard, and a loud THUNK was heard throughout the clearing as everyone could only stare in shock at what had happened. Everyone was in the bullseyes, even the one behind the tree, with a perfect 10/10 score. "HE CHEATED!" shouted one pink-haired student. "SAKURA, you will stop this at once. He didn't cheat. We all saw him do it. End of the discussion." Iruka said with annoyance, lacing his voice. A certain silver-haired Mizuki, however, was thinking, 'How I gave the brat dull kunai for a reason they should have never been able to stick, let alone penetrate.'
"Alright, everyone, let's wrap this up. Does anyone know any Jutsu" Iruka asked. Everyone shook their heads no, with Hinata and Naruto not wanting to reveal anything. They had shown enough as it was. "Alright, as of this moment, with the practical results done, we have the kunoichi of the year as Hinata Hyuuga and the rookie of the year as Naruto Uzumaki," Iruka stated, which brought about grumbles from the Uchiha fangirls and a pompous Inuzuka.
Before anyone knew it, three years had passed, with Naruto and Hinata growing ever closer to each other and training to be stronger than their peers could be. With irregular visits from Neko-chan, who he learned was named Yugao after Anko had accidentally said it, which earned her a hit to her head from Yugao for her carelessness. We find Naruto wandering through the Forest of Death. He had started to live to hear ever since he had seen the safehouse with the help of his father after his apartment was ransacked once again. As he was taking a break sitting at the bottom of a big tree, he never noticed his hand sink into the bark a little until he heard a loud hiss. He turned around, startled, and found the large tree's trunk was moving. Soon he had found an entrance with enough space to stand tall and walk around a bit. Curious, he stepped inside, wary of any traps. Hey, cut him some slack. He still pranked people, mainly to train his stealth and escaping skills. As he looked around, he found a sword with a reddish blade, and a traditional black handle with a golden guard blade stuck in what looked like a piece of obsidian. As he approached, the sword gave off a warmth that oddly felt comforting. It was also giving off a warm red glow as if it was trying to light itself on fire.
Meanwhile, inside his mind, Kurama could only gawk at the mystical find. It looked like the gods themselves were helping Naruto as he had discovered something that he was a legend. Minato and Kushina could only look on, confused at the fox's reaction to the sword. Noticing the looks, Kurama quickly explained how the sword was a lost relic of Yami herself from when she used that same sword to end the reign of an Abyssmal Fire dragon and sealed the consciousness of the beast in the sword forever. "Should we tell him not to touch it if it was made from the dragon, then?" Minato and Kushina couldn't help but ask.
All of a sudden, a portal opened up, and a buxom women woman appeared. She had black hair as dark as the night sky with warm amber eyes. She was wearing a kimono made out of shadows with a red obi. "Do not fear mortals. If he has already made it this far, then the dragon has recognized the same talent we have and has chosen him as its one true wielder. By the way, I am Yami. Nice to meet you. Now all you have left to meet is my oldest sister. Until we meet again, I need to have a quick talk with our champion." Stated Yami as Kurama, Kushina, and Minata could only gape at her appearance and the fact that Naruto was the Three godly sisters' champion.
Back at Naruto, who did not know what had happened in his mindscape, he approached the blade. Just as he reached to grab the handle, Yami appeared. Looked up and recognized her for who she was, as her facial features were similar to Shinigami's.
"Yami-sama," The 13-year-old Naruto replied, shocked as he had not heard anything from any divine entity in five years.
