Authoress Note: Welcome to Chapter 9 of The Winter Soldier and The Luna Wolf. I want to thank those who have left reviews for this story. It indeed does mean a lot to me that you guys are enjoying this story. Now we're on Chapter 9, an OG chapter, which I'm excited about. I hope that this chapter isn't all too bumpy. I'm going to try my best with trying to write this OG chapter out. I still have a fairly long way to go regarding finishing up Captain America The First Avenger. Captain America the First Avenger will end in Chapter 26. And I have up until Chapter 28 planned out which are only a few OG chapters before diving into the next part of this story which will probably only have one Chapter for Captain Marvel. I hope that you guys enjoy this next chapter. Without further ado Chapter 9. ENJOY!

Chapter 9

Violet sat in her tent at the camp that they were in for the time being. She was going over the many records that they had on Hydra. It made her blood boil to know that there were such people out there thinking that it was alright to cause so much destruction.

"Knock, knock." A gruff male voice called out at the opening of her tent.

Violet looked up seeing Jimmy standing there with a cigar in his mouth. She got up to her feet and quickly moved towards him.

Jimmy wrapped his arms around her once she got close enough to him. He gripped her tightly knowing that she had missed him.

"Jimmy, what are you doing here?" She questioned softly, taking a soft breath and breathing in the scent of cigars that always seemed to follow her brother no matter where he went. Even if he didn't have one.

"We're based here." He pointed out softly as he released his sister. He took a breath. "Why are you here?"

"I didn't have much of a choice in the matter. The SSR is based here now."

Jimmy let out a soft hum before digging into the pack he had over his shoulder. "I was ordered to bring this to you." He said as he handed her a file.

Her brows pinched together in confusion before taking the file. "What's this?"

"It's the latest of Hydra's movements."

She opened it to see that there were more locations. She took a breath through her teeth. "These are all the new locations that they've been spotted in?"

Jimmy nodded his head firmly. "I've been hearing that they're planning on sending troops behind enemy lines."

Violet moved towards her desk and sat down letting out a soft breath. She put the file down on her desk. She ran her hand through her hair. "Behind enemy lines? According to whom?"

"Phillips."

Violet let out a soft groan. "We know how well that's going to go."

Jimmy simply shrugged his shoulders. "We may, but they wouldn't," Jimmy said, shaking his head lightly. "They have no idea what they'll be getting into."

Violet rubbed her temples softly. "That's an understatement. Remember what happened when we went behind enemy lines before…"

Jimmy leaned against the poll letting out a breath and shaking his head remembering exactly what had happened during the Civil War they had to pretend on being on the confederate side when they were truly on the Union side of things. And what made matters worse was Violet had involved herself and had to dress like a man and bind her chest. "So that testing that they did."

Violet looked up at her brother through her lashes. "You mean the one that…"

"That Doctor was doing…"

Violet pursed her lips together into a thin line knowing that her brother didn't know that the poor Doctor had died. "Doctor Erskine succeeded in what he wanted to do. There is now a super soldier in our midst."

"And where is this kid at pup?"

"Over stateside." She said letting out a breath. "The poor Doctor was killed by Hydra scum." She shook her head lightly. "There is only one super soldier now… and he had promised more than one…"

"And the military isn't happy that they only have one…"

"The kid that went under… he was like us Jimmy…"

Jimmy's brow raised. "Like us? How so?"

"Remember when we were children? We were sick all of the time?"

Jimmy let out a breath and nodded his head firmly at what his sister had said. "Yeah, I remember."

"He was exactly like that… but now…"

"He's not sick anymore?"

Violet shook her head. "He also went from 5'4 to 6'2. And from 98 pounds to over 200 pounds."

Jimmy let out a whistle. "Well, that would explain everything. So the doctor's serum worked."

"Yes." She said softly. "And I have to admit that I'm even surprised that it worked. But also glad that it did…"

"But you know pup brought a man that was soft hearted…"

"Steve isn't a soft-hearted Jimmy," Violet said as she leaned back in her chair. "He's determined to do the job of being a soldier. Even though he hasn't a clue of what war is like."

Jimmy let out a soft hum. "I take it that you're hiding something too pup."

Violet's face paled slightly knowing that she couldn't keep this from her brother. "When the Doctor was killed I was shot in the shoulder."

Jimmy let out a groan rubbing his forehead. "You weren't careful enough."

"Well, Howard Stark now knows that I can heal. He won't mention it to anyone… not yet anyways."

"He better not."

"Jimmy, you're not going to hurt him either," Violet said, shaking her head. "I refuse for you to hurt the very man that is helping the military."

Jimmy let out a breath. "Well take that to your boss."

"Colonel Phillips, yes right of course."

"He needs to know that they are moving closer."

"And where will you be headed next?"

"You know I can't tell you that, pup."

Violet let out a breath and shook her head lightly. "I suppose you're right. Just be careful out there."

"I will be careful as well."

"I will."

This is the end of Chapter 9. I hope that you guys enjoyed this chapter. I know that there isn't much going on in this chapter and it was a bit hard to write this chapter out to make it just right. I hope that it turned out well. I don't know why sometimes I have a problem with writing OG chapters. Sometimes they turn out well and other times they don't. Please leave a review and let me know what you think. I'll try to update next week with a brand new chapter. Until next time.
