AN: Well, we made it to the end of this one and it was such a blast writing it. I hope you have enjoyed reading it as well. Here is the final chapter and of course we have to end with some fluffy goodness.

Epilogue

Zeinab was nervous even though she knew she had no reason to be. The dinner went perfectly, they had spent all day together doing Maya's favorite activities, including going to the arcade, and they were now going for a walk on the same beach they walked on the night of their first date. Zeinab glanced over at her girlfriend and finally asked her what she had wanted to for weeks.

"You know, don't you?" Maya gulped and tried to shrug nonchalantly, but Zeinab was on to her.

"Know what?"

"Maya, the high-pitch in your response gives you away. You totally know," groaned Zeinab. Maya pulled her into her arms.

"Okay, so maybe I know a little bit."

"How long?"

"I mean, what is time really?" Zeinab groaned again and placed her face in her hands, but Maya pulled her hands away so she could cup her cheeks.

"Zei, none of that matters. What matters is that I have known something else far more important since the beginning and you know what that is?" Zeinab sighed and shook her head.

"No, what?"

"I knew you were the one," Maya confessed with tears in her eyes. Zeinab felt tears prickling her eyes as well as Maya continued.

"I had spent years telling myself that people will only disappoint me, that there's no point in trying to open up or worry about love because it wasn't for someone like me. Someone who had been beaten down by life and had people turn their back on them since I was a kid. Zeinab, I accepted a very long time ago that love wasn't in the cards for me because I had no desire to open up long enough to take that risk. Then, I met you. You walked into that conference room and I was stunned speechless. I was so relieved when you introduced yourself to Carlos first because I couldn't speak. When Kate asked me to join the team, I didn't just do it because I was intrigued by her. I did it because I already knew everything I needed to know about you. I knew you were a strong woman who had been through her trials and tribulations and somehow came out even more honest and honorable than anyone I've ever met. I fell in love with you, Zeinab, well before we finally even considered saying those words to each other because I knew that if I was lucky enough to be loved by you, I would spend forever showing you how happy you make me and never take that love for granted. So yes, I knew you were going to propose, which is why I brought a ring too," explained Maya. Zeinab couldn't help but to cry happy tears as Maya got down on one knee and pulled a ring box from her pocket.

"You picked the perfect spot and we had the perfect day. Now I'm just hoping it can be the perfect proposal by having you say yes. Zeinab Kader, will you please marry me?" Zeinab was nodding before Maya could even finish asking and Maya beamed with happiness as she slipped the ring on her finger. They laughed as Zeinab pulled Maya back into her arms and showered her with kisses.

"Of course I will marry you. Now, my turn. I did practice this for weeks, after all," said Zeinab as she reached for the ring in her pocket. Maya nodded and giggled.

"I'm sure you did," said Maya. Zeinab kissed the top of her hand.

"Hayati, ever since the day we met, I've felt connected to you. You're ridiculously smart and kind and all you want is for the world to be a kinder place. Maya, I've never met someone who gets me the way you do. Who knows when I need space, but more importantly, when I need to be held, who understands that I'm not always the best with words but sees my actions for what they are. I fell in love with you so easily and I know I'm the reason it took us a while to finally make it official, but you were patient and understanding and never made me feel lesser than because I couldn't always express it out loud. Maya Jamali, you're everything to me and all I want is everything with you. Will you marry me?"

"Yes," giggled Maya. Zeinab picked her up into her arms to twirl her around. They lavished each other with kisses and sweet caresses. Zeinab slipped the ring on Maya's finger and Maya beamed with happiness.

"Carlos did a great job helping you pick it out," said Maya. Zeinab winked at her.

"He did a great job with yours too." Maya shook her head in amusement.

"Poor guy was keeping so many secrets. I knew he was but I'm surprised he didn't explode," said Maya.

"We should probably take him to that movie marathon he's been talking our ears off about to say thank you," suggested Zeinab.

"And to assure him that our dynamic will not change now that we're getting married. His abandonment issues will not rear their ugly head on my watch." Zeinab smiled adoringly at her fiancée.

"I love you, hayati."

"I love you too and I can't wait to be Maya Kader."

"So you've already decided to take my name?"

"Yes, your surname means much more to you and I have no problem leaving mine behind for all types of reasons. Now, come on. Let's call Carlos. You know he's waiting. Ernie probably is too. They can't keep anything from each other for long these days. They're such gossips. We can call them and then after, we can head home and celebrate properly," suggested Maya. Zeinab kissed her sweetly.

"Whatever you want," she agreed. Maya couldn't help but melt at the breathtaking smile Zeinab gave her. They headed back to their car and were on cloud nine as they called Carlos to tell him the good news.

When Kate's eyes fluttered open, it took her a moment to remember where she was. It all felt like a dream, a wonderful but impossible dream, and she couldn't help but smile as she looked over to see Lucy curled up beside her in bed. The fireplace simmered with embers of heat, but it did little for the frigid air. Kate snuggled up closer to her wife and sighed in relief at the warmth radiating off of her. They were in their chalet in Switzerland and officially on their honeymoon. She looked out the French doors at the breathtaking view of the mountains and fresh coat of snow. Lucy's parents were right. The views were enough to make the chalet worth it, but it was just one facet of its appeal. Kate knew Lucy wasn't exactly in love with the idea of her parents upgrading their accommodations, but even she couldn't deny how perfect the chalet was for their honeymoon. It was a balanced mix of rustic architecture and modern, high-tech interior design. It had five bedrooms, four bathrooms, a large sauna, and a spa room. Its floor-to-ceiling windows provided picturesque panoramic views and the wrap-around balcony held a large hot tub. Everything about the chalet expressed luxury. It was the perfect place for their honeymoon. Kate reached for her phone and smiled when she saw the text messages she had from her team. She opened one from Maya and saw a photo of Maya and Zeinab smiling brightly as they showed off their engagement rings for the camera.

"Gold star," she whispered to herself as she beamed with pride at the couple. Lucy shifted in her arms and yawned before looking at the photo.

"Finally, I can't believe they actually waited until after the wedding. Zeinab had to know Maya knew," said Lucy.

"Probably, but one thing I've always loved about Zeinab is that if she says she's going to do something a certain way, she has an impressive knack for making sure it gets done. She wanted to wait until after our wedding to propose and she did."

"I can't wait to celebrate with them when we get back," said Lucy as she nuzzled her wife's neck. She pulled Kate closer and her hands roamed freely over Kate's body as Kate tossed her phone back on the nightstand.

"Morning, Mrs. Tara-Whistler," giggled Kate as Lucy peppered kisses on her neck.

"Morning, my beautiful wife…wow, you're my wife now. That's going to take some time to get used to, not my girlfriend or my fiancée, my sexy wife," said Lucy. She grinned at the way it sounded out loud and Kate did as well.

"Yep, your very lucky, very horny wife," said Kate as she rolled on top of her.

"Well, then it's a good thing we're on our honeymoon with nothing to focus on but each other."

"A very good thing indeed, especially after last night. I was not expecting hot tub sex, especially so soon. I figured I would have to warm you up to that."

"Well, the cold weather kind of warmed me up to it and you know I have no issue being in a hot tub. We are far away from the deep abyss known as the ocean and I couldn't be happier about that. In fact, I wouldn't mind trying out the hot tub again for good measure."

"Oh really?" Kate laughed as Lucy rolled on top of her with a cheeky smile.

"Really," she said back with a wink. Their lips meshed together in a kiss that soon turned passionate and Kate smiled against her wife's lips.

"We aren't going skiing anytime soon, are we?" she asked, already knowing the answer. Lucy smirked.

"I get you all to myself for two weeks. I plan on making the most of it," assured Lucy. Kate bit her lip as she nodded in agreement. She sighed happily as Lucy tenderly kissed her again, both knowing they weren't leaving the chalet for the rest of the day. In that moment, completely wrapped up in her wife and only thinking about one another, Kate felt what she only felt when she was with Lucy, happy and free.

AN: The end! Wow, I knew I would love writing this one but it is so great to see how many of you enjoy Kate's team and also Maya and Zeinab as a couple. Writing a Kacy wedding was everything I needed and as we get ready for Season 2, here's hoping we get plenty of fluffy, domestic Kacy on the actual screen too. Thank you so much for the love, support, and feedback on this one. Until next time, cheers!
