It wasn't often that the Winchesters got to see the sea, but just occasionally, their work took them to coastal waters. Both brothers loved these rare instances in their own way.
Sam enjoyed the spiritual and sensory richness of being near the ocean. The rushing surf, the whispering breeze, the salt air, and the breathtaking vistas of golden sand, crystalline waters and kaleidoscopic sunsets.
Of course, the sight of Dean parading up and down the beach in his ancient green budgie smugglers somewhat spoiled the whole effect, but Sam was a man of modest expectations.
Being Dean's brother, he had to be.
