Lake Tahoe
Present Day
Perry's vision focused when he looked out into the vast lake. He closed the book up and sighed with fulfillment as he placed it back into his lunch box. The afternoon sun started to wane and he looked out into the lake only seeing sparse fishermen still out in the distance fishing. He thought the book would be a mystery thriller, but instead it was more of a romantic criminal case. Della was always surprising him with her book choices. He put away his rod and reel, starting the boat. Within twenty minutes, he arrived at the dock, fastened the rope, and climbed out of the boat carefully before he walked back to the lake house. He thought about what Della had accomplished while he was gone. As he rounded the bend in the road, he spotted Della out on the lawn tending to the flower garden when she was approached by a small child riding his bicycle.
Della tended to the flower garden out front of the home and was not aware of a youngster who was around the age of nine years old. He was scrawny with dark brown hair and hazel eyes. As he slowly pulled his bicycle up to their driveway, he noticed she was having a hard time pulling a few weeds that were deeply rooted into the soil. He put his kick stand down on his bike and walked over to her.
"Ms. I can help you if it's okay with you?" The youngster offered her a helping hand as Della wiped her brow with her hand and turned to see the young boy. He stood in the driveway and waited on permission to help her. Della wondered which home his parents occupied because she hadn't seen him before, until today.
"Sure, if you think you're stronger than me. I haven't seen you around here before. Does your parents live in the neighborhood or vacation here?" Della asked him as he slowly approached her with a smile on his lips.
"My grandparents own a home a couple houses down the road. When my parents allow me, I spend time with them." He told her as he bent down into flower bed and plucked up the weeds with little resistance before he placed the discarded weeds in a small pile that she started.
"What's your name? I don't believe you told me." She tried to make small talk with him as he busied himself and pulled up the remaining weeds from the flower beds.
"My name is Eric. You sure are a pretty lady for being out here alone." He gave a boyish smile that melted her heart and he put the discarded weeds in the heap.
"Thank you but I'm not alone. My husband is out on his fishing boat and is due back any time." Della smiled at him and helped with the flower bed.
"Your married, and I don't see any other kids like me out here. Your husband has a boat! Oh my! I would love to go out on the lake, but my parents probably would disagree." He sounded dejected for a brief moment when he suddenly saw someone from a distance walking in their direction.
"No, children for us yet, and we do have a fishing boat. It's docked out on the lake and he goes fishing when we are here. Maybe I can talk to your parents about having a nice day out on the boat with us. How does that sound?" Della gave the boy some hope and saw Perry walking towards them.
As Perry watched Della and the small boy interacting, while he slowly approached the two of them. While he carried his tacklebox in one hand, he carried his fishing pole in the other hand along with his lunch box. He came up to them and sat down his tacklebox and his fishing gear down while Della conversated with Eric.
"Della, what's going on here? I didn't know we were babysitting today." Perry jokingly said to her as the boy who was speechless at the sight of Perry.
"Perry, no I'm not babysitting. This young boy just happened to come by and helped me weed the flower bed while you were fishing out on the lake. His grandparents have a home down the road, and he stays with them when he can." Della told him before she looked back at the boy who was still silent.
"Well, you were very nice to help my wife out in the flower garden. How about you having dinner with us tonight?" Perry asked as he bent down to be eye level with the young boy.
"Maybe next time. I better be going because I don't like for my grandparents to worry. Thank you anyway." The young boy smiled as he hopped on his bicycle and waved back at the couple. Della crossed her arms over her chest while Perry stood beside her and looked down at her before he looked back at the boy who disappeared around the bend in the road.
"Okay, I'm sure we'll see you again." Perry said with a smile and turned to look at Della, who watched the boy disappear around the bend.
"Della, you attract children like bees on a flower. I'm surprised he didn't stay for dinner."
"He was really a sweet boy, Perry. I'm sure you frightened him by your stature and demeanor. After all, you intimidate certain people sometimes." She gave him a once over before she returned to the flower bed and cleaned up the mess before he mumbled something under his breath. She heard his comment and quickly turned around to see him leering at her with a smile.
"How did your fishing trip go without me?" Della tossed the discarded plants into the pile of compost. She approached him with her hand on her hip, tilted her head to the side, and waited on his answer.
"My fishing trip went well, and is dinner ready yet?" Perry tried to change the subject and diverted her attention before she looked at him with a smug grin.
"You always think of food Perry?"
"Yes. I caught a couple fish and decided to put them back in the water; however, I did read a very interesting book that you bought me though." Perry said as he took her by her elbow and guided her toward the house.
"Did you like the book, Perry? Dinner is almost ready. All I need to do is take the rolls out of the oven. In the meantime, the steaks, potatoes, and vegetables are all cooked; however, the wine however is still undecided because I wanted to surprise you."
"The book was very interesting and good. I'm going to leave my fishing gear out here on the patio before I join you in a few minutes." Perry kissed her lips as she opened the front door and he walked around the house, placed his fishing gear on the deck, and removed his boots. He opened the sliding door and walked through the foyer to the bathroom while Della set the table, placed the food on the table, and reached for the wine glasses. Della chose the red wine for dinner and sat it down on the kitchen table before she turned her back as Perry observed her. He smiled at her and walked into the den to look at the delivery. He spotted an unfamiliar object in the far corner.
"Della, I love the new furniture and it looks great in the den. What is the other item because I don't remember ordering anything extra, and it shouldn't have been left in our care." Perry called from the den as Della came from the kitchen wiping her hands on her apron.
"Perry, I have no idea what it could be. I asked the delivery men about it, and they couldn't explain why it was there unless their boss gave us an extra piece of furniture since we are new customers. That's what I think happened. If a charge is sent back for the extra expense, I told them you'll be happy to pay the bill." Della explained and stood by his side while Perry pondered what on earth it could be.
"I wonder what it could be. I'm sure it's a quaint piece of furniture, and if it doesn't fit with our décor, we can let your parents have it." Perry told her as he turned around and followed her back into the kitchen as he watched the sway of her hips. He produced a low hum to a growl in the back of his throat when she looked over her shoulder at him with a smile.
"Chief, what's going on with you? You look relaxed although I fixed dinner and weeded the flowerbeds." Della called over her shoulder to him as she felt his arms around her waist before he pulled her against him. He nuzzled her neck and kissed her cheek before he whispered into her ear.
"I like the way you move, and your back porch looks erotic right now." He playfully swatted her backside and smelled the aroma of dinner. He quickly reached for the wine bottle and read the label as he saw Della turn around with the food on their plates and placed them on the table.
"My back porch? What are you talking about, Perry?" Della tilted her head in confusion as a sly smirk formed on her lips because she knew he picked up that line somewhere.
"Yes, your back porch it belongs to me and no one else. You know what I'm talking about, Della. I've heard it in the prison a few times when I had to talk with a client. I used the expression for how you move, and I can't stop watching you when you walk away from me." Perry said as he pulled out her chair for her to sit down.
"You always pick up foreign words to my ears, but I love you anyway, Perry." Della gave him kiss on his lips, and he deepened the kiss. Della slowly pulled away to look into his eyes and touched the side of his cheek. He leaned into her touch and kissed her palm before he took his seat. They ate dinner while they talked about their day. She asked about the book that she stowed in his lunch box. He told her it was a romantic novel, but the crime reminded him of them. After they cleared the table and washed the dishes, Perry walked back into the den and opened the crate. He found a small crib in the crate before he discarded the box and admired the woodworking craftmanship in stunned silence.
"Della! Could you come here please? I think this piece isn't going to go to your parents after all." Perry called out to her. Della walked into the den with her hand over her mouth in shock as she looked at the baby crib.
"Perry, was that in the crate? Oh, that's the most beautiful piece of furniture I have ever seen." Della replied with her hands on her hips as she walked towards him and placed her hand on his arm.
"We will probably make use of it so I'm going to take it upstairs in the spare room unless you want me to return it?" Perry asked her when he turned to her and waited for her answer.
"No, Perry. Let's keep it in the extra room." Della whispered to him.
"You're sure you want to keep it, Della? It may sit up there in that room while another child could use it because I would be very disappointed when I think of the memories that it would bring to the parents." Perry watched her reaction before she tugged on his hand and led him to their bedroom.
"Chief, you heard my answer. Come on. I'm going to show you how much I missed you while you were gone." He followed her until she turned in front of him and stopped at the foot of the king size bed.
"You never told me what was in the book that you read, and why you compared it to us. How is it that the character's reminded you of us?" Della grabbed his shirt in her hands and lifted it up over his head. She spread her hands over his torso and skimmed down to the button of his slacks, popped it open, and lowered them down to his ankles. He kicked them off as he stood in his boxer's and while she was still dressed, but he was going to make quick work of her clothing.
"Della, you really want to know?" His voice barely audible, but she could hear him. Before he knew it, she was seducing him. Normally, it was usually the other way around, but he went along with her game.
"I want to know all the details, Perry." She kissed his chest then his neck where his day-old stubble resided as she brushed her nose against his cheekbone.
"There was a fresh out of law school graduate in the southern part of Georgia, and he came into a town at the wrong place at the wrong time as a bank hold up was under way. He was blamed for being affiliated with them, got locked up, and fell in love with the warden's daughter. He closed his eyes when he felt her touch his calves to remove his socks and looked down at her with a smirk on her lips.
"And? What happened?" She pegged the question as she kissed back up his muscular thighs and palmed his erection into soft hands.
"The warden's daughter was in harm's way, and the man that was wrongly accused protected her in a riot. Her father did not trust him until his court case found him not guilty and finally recognized his daughter told him the truth. She insisted that he was not a criminal. They soon married, and she was a typist and went to work for the man who saved her, who was the lawyer that was wrongly accused. Della, you placed that book in my lunchbox on purpose. Didn't you?" He groaned when she turned around and he put his hands on her hips.
"I had no idea what it was about until today." Della whispered as she stripped her clothing with both hands. He placed his hands on her shoulders and pulled her back against him.
"I don't believe you, Della. You knew what you were doing when you placed that book into that lunchbox. It could have been a murder mystery for all I knew until I started to read it." Perry kissed the back of her head, neck, and shoulder blades. She swooned against his chest and reached for his head to pull him to her lips while he pleasured her with his touches and butterfly kisses.
"Maybe I did it on purpose, Perry. Did you think of that?" Della cooed. He met her lips with a swipe of his tongue against her mouth playfully as she smiled. He removed the rest of her clothing with one hand while his other held her so she couldn't escape him.
Perry picked Della up in his arms while she kissed him and nibbled at his earlobe. He laid her down on the bed before he discarded his boxers. He worshiped her feet before he made wet trails up her thighs and inhaled her heady aroma. Her hand tugged at his dark hair and directed him closer to her mons. He paused and drove her mad with a few swipes at her entrance then kissed her thighs again as she clamped her thighs against his head to keep him right where she wanted him. He reached for and entwined his hand with her left hand while her right hand dug into his scalp to keep him in place. He licked and sucked at her until he found her clit with ease. As he used his right hand to caress her lower body, she came against his mouth with a couple of strokes of his tongue against her folds. She thrashed under his tongue rose up from the mattress to meet him, but she was blocked when he pushed her back down with his right hand against the mattress as he continued to pleasure her. It was all she could take from his relentless tongue as she twisted and ball up the bed sheets into her hand.
"Perry, please…. I want…." She moaned his name and released the bed sheet while her free hand tugged at his damp hair to get his attention, and he kissed each side of her thighs before he answered her.
"What do you want, Della? Tell me…" He growled. He knew what she wanted when his mouth left her thighs and placed a kiss to her abdomen, lingered at her breast, and sucked one nipple into his mouth before he turned his head to meet its match and sucked it with his mouth before he poised himself to enter her. She finally opened her eyes to see him gazing down at her with darkened eyes. When she reached for his erection that was already rock hard, she stroked his length and saw he was more than ready. He did his best not to lose control when she used her thumb to stroke his penis. He closed his eyes at the slow torture of her soft hand that was wrapped around his ridged member.
"I want you, now…" A strangled moan escaped her lips as he slowly entered her wetness with no resistance and passionately kissed her which made her breathless. She clawed at his shoulders and tilted her hips to meet his slow steady rhythm as he thrusted in and out of her. He sucked on her neck and earlobe before he felt her legs move up to his sides and drew him deeper inside her depths. It was slow and steady at first, but her moaning and the sound of their lovemaking encouraged him to stroke faster until she cried out his name in ecstasy as she clamped down hard on his penis and finally came around his shaft. He wanted to please her and be sure she was satisfied before he released his pent-up frustration. She held him to her, and he knew it was okay for him to let go. He sped up his strokes; pulled out again, and pushed further into her inner walls. He couldn't take much more and finally took himself over the edge with a powerful stroke until he came hard inside her and kissed her on the mouth. It took them a minute to catch their breaths before he felt her stroke his damp hair and hugged his lower back as she relished in the sensation of being loved.
He slowly pulled back to look at her with pure contentment on her face and kissed her lovingly on the mouth. She massaged his chest with her hands while he took her hand into his and kissed her. She leaned down and returned his kiss before she nibbled at his lips kissed along his jawline and his chest. Her curls tickled his already sensitive flesh which was soaked in sweat. His chest heaved rapidly as she kissed and licked down his torso. After she reached his already half mast erection, she smiled to herself, kissed his tip before she fondled his scrotum in her soft hand. He took hold of her head, massaged her curls, and tugged as her mouth engulfed him fully.
When her lips wrapped around his shaft and pleasured him, he closed his eyes while he felt her velvet tongue lick up the length of his shaft and stroked his balls over and over again. He wanted her to speed up, but she slowly took her time pleasing him. She continued her ministrations on his sensitive member as she licked, sucked, and crazed her teeth down his shaft.
"Della, you need to stop now, or I'm not going to last much longer…." He groaned. She felt his large hand tug at her while she glanced up at him because she knew he was on the verge of orgasm. Pleased with herself, she gave his balls a quick squeeze. He hissed at the sensation of her groping him. She climbed up his large frame and slowly sank down onto his shaft and claimed him just as she always had done. He slowly opened his eyes to see the beautiful woman that was the love of his life and palmed her breast into his hands as she set the pace for them. She leaned down and covered her mouth over his before she kissed him passionately and rocked against him. He captured her breast with lips and suckled on the bud while she continued to stroke against him. When he bumped her clit, she cried out. He nuzzled the valley of her breasts claimed her mouth again as he silenced her screams. After she clamped down around his penis, she came hard against him again and orgasmed. He placed soft kisses on her mouth, her neck, and her collarbone. He orgasmed hard into her welcoming warmth, as she lay on top of him, breathed in his scent, and smelled the sex in the room.
The couple laid entwined for a few minutes, and Della hummed in the back of her throat. He looked down at her, lifted her chin with his index finger, and kissed her. The air cooled around them, and his placid penis slipped out of her when she rolled off him. He collected her in his arms and held her in his embrace while they caught their breath. Perry looked down at Della, who returned her gaze up at him with a smile and gave him a quick kiss.
"Della, I'm sorry I didn't tell you, but thank you for dinner." He rubbed her backside with his palm where it settled on her lower back.
"Your welcome Perry." She teased his sparse chest hairs with her hand.
Della untangled herself from his arms and placed a chaste kiss to his lips before she got up from bed to go to the bathroom and shower. Perry opened his eyes to look at the empty space beside him and rolled over into her space. He laid there for a minute before he joined her in the shower and finished what she started without letting her out of his sight. They stood together in the water as it sprayed over their exhausted bodies. She reached for the knob and turned the faucet off. Della stepped out of the shower first, and Perry followed her. She wrapped the large fluffy towel around her, combed her hair, and felt his strong arms encircle her from behind. He kissed her cheek, looked into the mirror, and held her tightly in his arms.
"Perry, we have to be back in the office Monday morning. What are our plans for tomorrow? Are you going out on the lake again?" Della peered over her shoulder at him.
"Well, I might. You want to come with me tomorrow? You are more than welcome, and I need all the luck I can get." He whispered into her ear.
"How do I find you irresistible?" Della gave him a quick peck on his cheek, stepped out of his arms, and went to the bedroom.
"You married me, Della. There must be a reason you found me irresistible. He replied as he watched her walk to the bedroom and remove the bed sheets to put them in the wash. She changed the bed with fresh sheets and he joined her, snuggled up against her, and held her tight against him.
