(Somewhere in the cosmos)
Up in space, far away from everything terrible in the world, we have the Sun, the Earth, Moon, and so on. But, unfortunately, not everyone lives in harmony with the planets. Point taken. Greymon knew this, and he was determined to stop Sonic's archenemy, Eggman himself.
As if the thought had summoned him, Greymon heard him laughing tons of feet away.
"Oh ho ho ho ho! Hmm!?" Eggman's laugh was cut off as an alarm went off. Greymon stood up, shaking off the explosion and faced Sonic's archenemy. Cannons were aimed, robots were placed, and Eggman gave the command.
"FIRE!"
Greymon ran forwards, dodging all the missiles, and slid under one robot that tried to punch him. He then bashed it aside, and Nova Blasted a few more away from him. He shot forwards, with the debris far behind him. Eggman, having to be fed up with all this, entered the battle himself in a much larger robot. He fired at the Leading Digimon, who jumped over the missiles, and sprang up.
"Why you little…" Eggman growled. Greymon then slammed into the Egg Mobile while in the air and landed. Eggman pressed a couple of buttons, and more missiles flew out, tracking Greymon.
"Wha?" Greymon said, looking back. The guns on either side of the robot kept firing, and Greymon kept dodging them all. He saw a tunnel, and shot into it. He looked back and smirked. He wasn't losing today, that's for sure. Now all he had to do was find the control room, and destroy the fleet, and save the world. Piece of cake.
But, unfortunately, Eggman had other plans.
"You're not getting away!" Eggman shouted, turning one of the guns into a hand, which shot after Greymon. Greymon noticed this, and tried to avoid it, but he ended up being pulled back.
"Whu-oh!" he cried out in surprise as he came face-to-face with Eggman. He struggled as he hand pulled him back towards the cockpit. Eggman was smirking at him. Greymon calmed down and gave a smirk of his own. He closed his eyes, and the tags, crests, and Digivices appeared around him.
"What?" Eggman asked as the robot tried to crush Greymon, but it was too late. He had already Digivolved into MetalGreymon.
MetalGreymon hovered there for a moment, then bashed clean through the robot and decided it was time for round two.
"Uh-oh, t-time to go!" Eggman said, detaching the Egg Mobile from the robot and fleeing. MetalGreymon made a U-turn and went after him, tucking in his wings, and (somehow) defying the laws of psychics. Eggman glanced behind him, and sped up the Egg Mobile, and commanded all of the doors to slam shut. Useless, by the way, as MetalGreymon slammed them all apart and continued to give chase.
He continued pursuing him throughout space, which led to the destruction of the other ships, with more missiles. What is it with this guy and missiles, seriously?
Eggman then reached something that looked like a giant cucumber sandwich (no, not the eating sort of kind) with a long appendage-thing sticking out of it. However, he didn't escape MetalGreymon.
Eggman pulled on the brakes so hard, he accidentally deactivated his windshield, and he lurched, flying out the Egg Mobile, crashing down multiple times on the floor, before stopping in the middle.
MetalGreymon then burst open the floor, making a dramatic entrance. He chuckled at seeing Eggman look powerless without his badniks and Egg Mobile. Eggman sat up quickly, and a look of fear spread across his face.
"G-Greymon!" he stammered. "I-I'm sorry! R-really! Look, go easy on me. I'll turn over a new leaf, a swear! Just give me a chance." He knelt down, hands clasped towards as if praying, begging for mercy. MetalGreymon landed in front of him.
"Well," MetalGreymon said. "This is new, showing remorse, Eggman? Really? After everything you've done these past couple years. I just blew up your fleet, and you're begging to change?" MetalGreymon laughed at that. "However," he continued, "if you played nice, I wouldn't have had to break all your toys."
While MetalGreymon was talking, Eggman slowly got up, keeping his eyes on the Leading Digimon, and his face went from having fear to a grin, as he pulled out a remote with a red button on it.
An evil grin.
He chuckled. How could the Leading Digimon fallen for his 'changing act'? He pressed the button saying, "Gotcha!" There, his trap was completed. Multiple walls rose up out of the ground, and pillars moved out of the ceiling.
"Wha?" MetalGreymon asked, completely caught off guard. He was tricked! He heard Eggman let out an evil chuckle as he tried to move out of the way, but weird purple like rings shot out, catching him like prey, and pulled him back into the middle. He struggled against it, but there was too much negative energy to battle against. He glared at Eggman, struggling. Eggman was being raised up on a platform, and he laughed in victory.
Then something that happened that MetalGreymon would never forget, something that he was never prepared for.
Bolts of lighting came out of the pillars and struck MetalGreymon on all sides.
"Aggh! Grr-GRAH!" MetalGreymon cried out in pain, surprise, and fury, as the tags, crests, and Digivices were forced, ripped, out of his body. Eggman grinned, watching the Leading Digimon writhe in pain from the beams. The opening of the cucumber sandwich-thingy opened, revealing a cannon, an orbiting cannon, and it was ready to blast the Earth into smithereens.
"Ngah! RGH!" Greymon shouted as the beams continued to burn his body, taking all of his Digivolving energy away from him. Outside, little links were detaching from the cannon, forming it. Back up in the (how about we call it the Energy Cannon, hmm?) Energy Cannon, Greymon opened his eyes, seeing the tags, crests and Digivice's power, HIS power being ripped away still, before screaming in agony again.
Outside, the cannon was completed…and sparkling with Greymon's now stolen energy, preparing to fire. It spiraled down to the planet, electricity crackling. Eggman laughed, as the cannon was armed and ready.
"Oh ho ho ho ho! Oh, I've waited a long time for this!" he said, as a button was in front of him, and had multiple colors on it (seems familiar here, eh?). "FIRE!" he said, pushing down on the button. Wait, if he was on the platform…how'd he get up in his Egg Mobile? I don't think he can fly…can he?
The cannon then fired a humongous sort of energy, which went faster than a jet airplane, and it struck the planet with a blast so large, it created a shockwave, which spread across the entire planet. Eggman watched with curiosity, waiting to see what it does next. Unfortunately though, he got his wish.
The planet cracked open like an egg (don't tell him I said that), cracking forming, and with some pieces falling into the lava. Huge tentacles made of darkness swooped out of the core, with more following.
"Whoa!" Eggman said, smirking.
A huge creature made out of darkness (we'll find out who this is later) rose up out of the core, growling.
Back up on the station, the rings released Greymon and he kept groaning, trying to get away, but he had no strength left, and he panted, trying to focus. Meanwhile though, the creature placed a giant hand on the Earth, rising up even further, while something strange happened to Greymon. He felt his bones and muscles shifting, trying to…adjust to something…but what? His paws started to grow larger and his claws grew longer as well. His stripes changed to be more jagged, and his head grew longer, gaining more horns. His body and tail respectively gained some spikes.
The creature down below had almost emerged, its maw starting to glow light purple.
Finally, to finish off his transformation, Greymon's mouth gained more teeth, and he lurched back, thrusted his head forwards and roared. The creature roared a hideous, ear-splitting roar as it towered over the entire planet, completely awakened.
The machine shut off, sensing it's work completed, and the blackened tags crests and Digivices fell to the ground. Greymon panted, his body giving out, exhausted from all the screaming and suffering he had to go through. Meanwhile behind him, Eggman was laughing in victory.
"Success! A brilliant success! It's just as the Gaia Manuscripts foretold! The entity that was sealed within the planet has awakened! Now I just need to harness its power! Eggmanland will finally come to be! Nothing can stop me now, not even Sonic! Na ha ha ha!" Eggman celebrated his victory.
Greymon opened his eyes, growling. Eggman looked down, puzzled. Where did that thing come from? He thought for a moment before settling on a conclusion that that thing was actually Greymon. Greymon gained his breath for a moment before speaking a deeper, more harsh voice than usual.
"You've really…gone and done it this time, Eggman! Wait till Sonic hears about this!" Greymon growled at him.
Eggman pretended he hadn't notcied before speaking in pretended surprise. "Ah, Greymon! That's a very good look for you! Festive, respecially for today!" he said, and Greymon stopped his surprise. "So long, friend!" Eggman said, and his windshield closed him as he settled back in his Egg Mobile.
Greymon looked back as the hatch opened and gravity took over, trying to pull him back down to Earth. He yelped in surprise, as he held onto a ledge, but gravity was too strong and he was too weak, so he was forced to let go with a shout. He continued screaming before he fell down to Earth, with the tags, crests, and Digivices following him, having to have been sucked out as well.
The creature then bowed its head, before lifting it up and screeching it's horrible roar, before breaking apart in the form of purple mist that would cover the planet for days to come.
