Julieta arrived home early. She ran out of food at the booth. She'd usually prepare some more food, but Julieta knew she needed to start work on dinner soon. If someone needed her, they would get her.

Julieta entered her bedroom. She nearly dropped the plate she was holding. Her baby brother stood in her bedroom. Her brother, who'd vanished a year ago. The brother whose name she wasn't allowed to say for months. "Oh, hi," Bruno said. "I wasn't expecting you to be home so soon. Can you fix my hand?"

Julieta rushed over to hug Bruno. He awkwardly returned to the gesture. "It's good to see you too," Bruno said. The tears began to fall from the elder sibling's eyes. Julieta tried her best not to sob.

"I'm so happy you're home," Julieta sobbed. "I missed you so much!"

"I missed you too," Bruno responded. "But I'm not home for long."

Julieta made eye contact with her brother. "Why?" she cried.

"Bad things happen when I'm around," Bruno stated.

"Your visions don't make the bad things happen," Julieta argued. "They only show us that they will. They're not all bad, either. Remember that one you had about Isabela? The one that said her powers will grow and she'll have everything she's ever wanted?"

"That's the only good vision I've had," Bruno sighed. "The same day I had that vision, I told Dolores she'd never have the man she loves. It's best if I leave. However, I returned because I cut my palm, and it's pretty nasty. I knew you were the only one who could help me."

He showed her the bandages that covered his right hand. "I'll whip you up something," Julieta promised. She started to cook. "Can you tell me where you went, at least?"

"I can't," Bruno sighed. Julieta gave him the finished arepa.

"Are you safe where you live?" Julieta asked.

"Yeah," Bruno answered. "I got this cut on accident."

He ate the arepa in one bite. The palm on his hand healed in seconds. Bruno unwrapped his healed hand. "Thank you," he said. "But, listen Julieta. You can't tell anyone that I was here. You also can't follow me."

Julieta wanted to protest. However, she saw the frantic look in Bruno's eyes. "I'm fine," he whispered. "Do you trust me?"

Julieta thought for a few moments. "I do," she whispered.

"Goodbye, Juli," Bruno said. He then ran out of the room. After a few seconds, Julieta chased after him.

"Wait," Julieta cried out. However, Bruno had already disappeared.
