Chapter 2

The devil paced angrily. He had followed Jason, knowing that even if he were vanquished he could be resurrected. But this devil had been given a special assignment, to guard this Hollow, alongside this angel, and an avatar. The one thing all three sides agreed to was to keep the Hollow secure. For now he was playing chess with the angel, the avatar was standing guard outside. It wasn't a bad way to pass the time, perhaps they even respected each other more than either wanted to admit. But she was slow to make a move, and it was frustrating. Finally she made her move.

Angel: Check.

The demon looked over the board and made his move.

Devil: Checkmate.
.
The white lighter looked at the board. To her dissapointment she knew he was right, he had won this game. Then they both heard a loude noise outside, the avatar had been slain. An evil figure in a black robe, trying to hide his face, approached them. The devil knew who this was, it was the Source. But how could he return if Jason was still trapped? And if Jason somehow freed himself, surely he knew how dangerous it was to be near the Hollow.

Angel: How are you alive?
Source: I still had some loyalists, who realize that I was a better conquerer than any. With my return, Evil will take it's rightful place as rulers of the universe.
Devil: With all due respect, you're not allowed to be here.
Source: Have you forgotten who I am, which side you're on?

The devil and the angel looked at each other. Maybe the Source was too wounded from his battle with the avatar, maybe they still had a chance. Together they fought the Source. He was wounded, but still strong. The Source destroyed the angel, but temporarily spared the devil. With all his remaining strength he open the gate and took the Hollow. He then put the Hollow in this demon.

Source: Let me remind you, one last time, which side you're on. You are a demon, in the service of Evil. I am about to re-take my rightful place as ruler of all evil. You will now go to the Charmed Ones, and gather their powers for me. If you betray me, or fail in any way, I will know, and I will destroy you. Do I make myself perfectly clear?
Devil: Yes my lord. I will not fail you.

The devil went to the Halliwell manor. Piper and Leo were still talking things over with the other Charmed Ones. Piper saw this demon and prepared to blow him up.

Devil: Don't! If you use your powers on me the Hollow will absorb them.
Piper: The Hollow is within you?
Devil: Yes. This is too dangerous, you must stop him before he becomes too powerful.
Leo: Who has control of the Hollow?
.
Before the demon could answer he was destroyed by fire. It seemed that the Source was telling the truth, he knew that this devil had betrayed him and destroyed him. This demon could never tell them who had the Hollow. Or could he. There was one demon who resurrect other demons, and hopefully he realized the Hollow posed a threat to all of them. Piper called her niece Pamela. They were going to the Underworld, to talk to her ex-boyfriend.
