Chapter 7

.

Pamela still believed that this whole thing was part of Jason's master plan to free himself. But she had to admit, it didn't make sense for Jason to let the Source become more powerful than himself, not without some way to control him. And if he could figure out some way to free the Source, why not himself? If the Source really had some loyalists willing to resurrect him, maybe they were desperate enough to release the Hollow. The Hollow was a threat to everyone, good and evil, but Pamela couldn't bring herself to advocate for his release, not after Victor gave his life to contain him. But then, Victor came to Pamela in a vision.

.

Pam: Grampa, is that really you?

Victor: Yeah, it's really me. Unfortunately, I can't stay for long. I'm only allowed back down here to give you some advice.

Pam: I could use some. What do you know about the Hollow?

Victor: Not much. But it represents a threat to the entire universe, and Jason is offering his help if he's released.

Pam: That about sums it up. Once he's released, there will be no way to trap him again. But if we don't release Jason, I don't know if we'll be able to stop the Hollow.

Victor: So it's the nuclear option.

Pam: Yeah, and he's the most powerful demon that the Charmed ones have ever encountered.

Victor: Either way, I have faith in my family. You'll find some way to stop both, you always do.

Pam: There's something else. You sacrificed your life to trap Jason. I feel like, if I release him, I'm dishonoring you and your sacrifice.

Victor: I wanted to give my life to keep my family safe. But I now realize I couldn't keep them safe forever. You know what I mean, you're a mother now.

Pam: Yeah, I would sacrifice my life and my soul to protect my child. But I can't protect her forever. All I can do is protect her while I can, from the greatest threat.

Victor: My sacrifice gave my family 15 years of relative peace, I'd do it again. But now, do you honestly think that releasing Jason is the only way to stop the Hollow and protect little Prue?

Pam: I hate to say it, but yeah, we've run out of options.

Victor: Then do it, do what you have to do to protect your family.

Pam: I will. Thank you grampa.

Victor: Anytime.
