Chapter 10

Author note: this was hard to write.

Nico blinks.

"What did they say?" Mike asks.

Nico says,"Apparently Mik plays bass in their inner world when he's not fronting, MK said hi to me. This is weird!"

Sirius says,"i wonder how far the bond will work?"

Britney says,"no idea."

"Hold up. Mik plays bass in the inner world when he's not fronting?" Mike asks, blinking.

Zak nods.

"What does Billie Joe do when he's not fronting?" Regulus asks.

Zak shrugs, "he just sits there. I think he's still processing being a part of a system."

"I do not blame him. That's a huge deal!" Regulus says.

"Honestly, I think things would be a lot worse than they are without Mike and Billie Joe. I use to have a lot more panic attacks than I do now. Mike has helped me through several panic attacks since October" Zak says.

Sirius asks,"why didn't you say anything?"

Zak shrugs,"maybe because I didn't know how to say anything?"

"Bestie, breathe! You're not in trouble. He's upset because we didn't tell him. Nico, a little help here?" Mik says.

"Zak's convinced your upset with him, Uncle Padfoot. Mik just told me" Nico says looking confused.

"Zachary. I'm not upset with you. Just extremely confused" Sirius says.

"What happened in October?" Regulus says, looking at Sirius.

Sirius blinks,"that's what I would like to know." He looks over at Zak.

Zak frowns," I don't remember..."

"Tell them it's a trauma thing that Zak isn't supposed to know about" MK tells Nico.

"Wouldn't Zak now know exactly what happened?" Nico says.

"No, just that it was really stressful. I, however, know everything" MK says.

Nico blinks, "It's a trauma thing. Zak isn't supposed to know yet. I think MK took the memory so Zak could build a supportive family before telling him."

Zak groans and throws his hands in the air.

Mik laughs.

"Apparently Mik thinks it's hilarious" Nico says.

"I also know what happened. It's funny that Zak's so surprised" Mik says.

"I think everyone but Zak knows at this point" Nico says, frowning.

"You also know what happened" Mik says.

Nico tilts his head, then his eyes widen as he realizes what Mik and MK are referring to. He gasps, "oh dear. No, Zak definitely doesn't need to remember that right now." Nico wraps his arm around Zak's shoulders.

"No. I don't need to know. My life is already stressful enough. MK can keep that memory" Zak mutters, running a hand through his hair.

Billie Joe walks over and sits next to Zak,"are you ok?"

Zak grimaces,"Considering the fact I'm so stressed I don't even know who's in control of the body, I don't think I am. I hate this shit."

"Nico, will you drop by my office later so we can discuss this event?" Billie Joe asks.

Nico nods,"Yes sir."

"Hold up. You said you don't know who's fronting?" Britney says.

Zak shakes his head in denial.

"Does this happen often?" Billie Joe asks.

Zak shakes his head again,"not unless I'm really stressed because of emotional overload."

"Come here, bud" Mike says, patting the chair next to him.

Zak walks over and sits next to Mike.
