Chapter 1: Abandoned and Betrayed

The screen comes up as we see a certain blonde haired knight being sent flying out of his dorm and against the wall. He grimaced and looked up to a group of angry faces. Those faces belonging to people, he thought were his friends. Unfortunately, this was no longer the case.

"Really, Jaune?!," A voice shouted towards him.

This voice was revelaed to be none other than the lovely Pyrrha Nikos, Jaune's partner. She had her hands on her hips as she glared angrily at him.

"How could you do something like that?! I shouldn't have bothered with you, faker!," Pyrrha berated him.

"So this whole time you faked your way into Beacon, huh? I knew you were pathetic Jaune... but this is a new low for you!," The voice of one Weiss Schnee from Team RWBY said as she came over.

"You don't even deserve to be here!," Yang said.

Yang angrily glared at him too as she was seen to be walking over.

Jaune looked up at the faces that constantly beat him after his secret was revealed. He looked like a puppy who had been kicked by an angry master. The blonde looked towards his now former 'friends'.

"Ruby?"

The silver eyed girl looked down and turned her head away from him.

"Blake?"

The cat faunus also looked down and mirrored Ruby's actions. It was then, Jaune's heart ultimately broke. His friends and team, but especially his partner, Pyrrha had turned their backs on him... all because of some slips of paper. Jaune hung his head low, allowing a few tears to fall. He had no one left, his dream was now shattered. He didn't blame Ruby or Blake for not saying anything, they were probably pressured into joining in by the others.

"Stay away from my sister, faker!" Yang yelled at him.

"What? Is the faker crying now?," Pyrrha jeered towards him.

In that moment, Jaune had one emotion towards his former team: rage. They promised to stay by him, but when the time came, they abused him instead of helping him. A faint green aura burned in his eyes as he looked at them making them flinch. Jaune picked himself up, and bowed towards them, catching his offenders off guard.

"I... understand. Sorry for wasting your time.,"Jaune said surprisingly calm.

He picked up his belongings and walked away from his former friends and teammates. He knew that he wasn't strong enough to take them on right now, so he could only allow them to beat him physically.

Yang scoffed as Jaune walked away, most likely to leave the school.

"Tch, good riddance! That weakling didn't belong here anyways!," Yang said turning around.

"Here here, I couldn't agree more.," Weiss agreed.

"At least we won't have to worry about that waste of space in our team anymore. He won't be here to ruin everything for us.," Pyrrha said as she and the others went back to their dorm rooms.

Only Ruby and Blake remained in the hallway, looking back towards where Jaune left to go.

"Ruby? Blake? Are you two coming?," Yang called.

"Yeah... just... give me a minute.," Ruby said.

Ruby collapsed to the floor and silently cried, Blake putting a hand on her back to comfort her friend before also silently crying. The two of them couldn't do anything to stop Jaune from walking away even though they wanted to.

"J-Jaune... I- no, we're s-so sorry...," Ruby cried silently.

Blake hugged ruby and gently rubbed her back as her friend continued to sob bitterly into her shoulder. Blake knew Yang and Weiss were pests, but she never imagined they'd take things this far. She glared at both the doors to team rwby's room and jnpr's room. Those girls would pay for this. Especially that racist prick, Weiss. She knew she should never have trusted her to change! And Yang... she was just a bully now. The amber eyed girl gained a determined look, she would do something about this for both her and Ruby's sakes.

Meanwhile...

Jaune trudged his way towards the exit of Beacon, students took turns trash talking him and beating him. Jaune never resisted as he had a near lifeless look in his eyes, any spark or hope he had in becoming a Huntsman was now gone. After each beating, he got up and continued forward towards the exit of Beacon.

Eventually, he reached the exit and trudged into Vale. The same listless and lifeless look adorned his features as he dragged Crocea Mors with him. Just as he was about to exit the premises of Beacon and wander into Vale, Ozpin and Glynda stopped him.

"Wait a moment, Mr. Arc," Ozpin said.

He turned and both were horrifed by the state he was in and the lifeless look in his eyes.

"My Oum... Mr Arc what... happened to you?," Glynda asked concerned.

"Hmm? Oh. Everyone just reminded me that I'm not welcomed here any longer.," He said.

"Please, won't you consider staying Mr Arc? It would be a waste to see a tactical genius such as yourself fall to the wayside. We can arrange to have you move into another dorm if you like.," Ozpin said already aware of his situation.

Jaune shook his head and smiled sadly as some color came back to his face.

"No, that's alright Headmaster. I appreciate the thought, but I think it's best if I left. No one wants to see me here anymore.," He replied.

"Surely not everyone?," Glynda said in question. "What about your own team and RWBY? "

Jaune sighed.

"Unfortunately, miss Glynda... They've made it abundantly clear that they despise me for faking my way into Beacon. As soon as they found out.. they all turned on me. My teammates were especially bad about it... I've been kicked out of my own dorm room.," Jaune responded.

Ozpin sighed in disappointment, he really thought Pyrrha, Nora, Ren, Yang, and Weiss were different. But it would seem that even he was fooled into thinking they were reputable young men and women, most young women.

"Surely Ruby and Blake don't feel that way towards you...," Ozpin suggested.

Jaune smiled sadly.

"No, they don't. But.. I can't blame them, the others probably pressured them into joining in.," Jaune answered.

"You're saying they were forced to join in beating you senseless? Really, have those girls no shame?! I expected better of them.," Glynda huffed angered.

"Also... here."

Jaune takes off Crocea Mors and hands it to Ozpin, confusing both the headmaster and Glynda.

"And why are you handing me your weapon?," Ozpin asked.

"Because.. It no longer belongs to me. You can return them to my Father... well... former father. According to him through a message I received, I'm no longer worthy of the family name and a disgrace towards the Arc family. As such it is my duty to return said family heirloom. He most likely heard of my fake transcripts and wishes to see the family treasure returned. See for yourself.," Jaune said handing them his scroll.

Ozpin and Glynda both read the contents of the message he'd received and were soon internally boiling with anger at the decision.

"That's unacceptable! What's more important: Some slips of silly paper, or their own son?!," Glynda angrily said.

Jaune bowed slightly towards them.

"Thank you two for everything. But I think it's best if I leave. Perhaps I'll return some day, but until then... I believe it's best that I was no longer in the picture.," Jaune said.

Ozpin handed Jaune back his scroll and smiled sadly at the boy. He'd already been through so much, this was just torture for the young man.

"You will always have a home here, Mr. Arc, please do remember that.. wherever you end up.," Glynda said.

Jaune just laughed sadly and rubbed the back of his head.

"Thank you for that, Prof. Goodwitch. But I guess this just reinforced something. I knew I was different, but this just confirms it. Tell Ruby, Blake, as well as Teams CVFY SSSN that I'm sorry that it... just didn't work out for me this time you know?",Jaune said. "Ah, I should get going now. Thanks for... everything. And.. Goodbye.," Jaune said as he walked away.

The wind howled as the former son of the Arc family walked away into the distance before eventually disappearing. Ozpin sighed and turned towards Glynda.

"Inform Jaune's former team that they have been reassigned a new name: NPR and that no new members are to join their team as a consequence for their bullying their leader out of Beacon. Also... inform RWBY that we will... be having a little "talk" about their recent behavior towards a certain former arc.," Ozpin said.

Glynda nodded.

"Are you planning on returning that weapon to that disgrace of a family?"she asked.

Ozpin sighed in annoyance.

"Yes. It's what Mr. Ar- no, Jaune.. would want.," Ozpin replied.

"Understood, sir.," Glynda said adjusting her glasses.

As a result of Jaune being run out of Beacon, the public opinion of the school within Vale plummeted. Jaune was kind to many people in Vale be they faunus or not, and to see him run out of the school by its students over some slips of paper caused many to look upon the young men and women of Beacon poorly.

As for Ruby and Blake, their relationship with their teammates and former friends became very rocky as a result of Jaune leaving. In particular, Ruby became very distant and even hostile towards Yang and Weiss. Some would say she became cold towards most of Beacon's student body, her cheerful persona was now lost to time. Blake became even colder towards not just her teammates (minus ruby), but to NPR as well. The cat Faunus reverted back to her personality when she was with the white fang, she was hostile and mostly kept to herself. She was only ever friendly towards Ruby and the professors at Beacon.

Though Ruby and Blake still worked with Yang and Weiss, when it was outside of a mission or school.. they were very hostile and antagonistic towards them. It got to the point where they could no longer function as a team of 4 due to Ruby and Blake's hostility towards their two teammates. As a result, team RWBY was disbanded unofficially.

As for the other 2 teams whom Jaune got along with: They disassociated with NPR and Yang and Weiss. Things went from bad to worse for the blonde brawler and the schnee heiress. Yang's sister would no longer talk to her anymore, and when Yang tried to Ruby would get very irritated with her. Ozpin saw the dangerous atmosphere within team RWBY and excused Ruby and Blake from attending classes with yang and weiss.

As for our abandoned hero, he continued his journey after disappearing from Vale. He took to becoming a wandering mercenary to help him in his travels. He had no destination in mind, he was just trying to survive. Over time, his hair had changed colors. But this became a reality one particular morning...

Time skip: 18 months later...

It has been a full year and a half since Jaune had left Beacon and Vale behind, now he lived in a small town in the middle of nowhere. While still on Sonus, he had distanced himself from Vale and the rest of his so called 'friends'. Jaune sat up in bed and yawned as he was just waking up. The teen stretched before making his way towards the bathroom. He grabbed some clothes as he went to go shower. As he went to shower, he happened to look in the mirror and immediately noticed something... his hair was... black?!

Jaune looked at himself in the mirror and almost face faulted. Since when did his hair change to a black color?! And looking in the mirror before looking behind him, he noticed... a tail?! When did.. that get there?!

His new gear included a steel gray piece of a chest protector, white outlining and a golden yellow color towards the where his navel would be, a black long sleeved muscle shirt, purple pants, blue boots, a golden belt, a yellow bandana, purple arm guards that went from his wrists to his mid forearms, and a small brown bag attached to his belt. Jaune was much more muscular then he was previously due to the mercenary work he'd been taking for the last 6 months, he'd grown to be taller too.

The black furry tail behind him was a bit of a surprise though. He didn't remember having a tail before unless... He started thinking before he remembered having a little bit of an incident in his room when Ren walked in on him one time.

"That's it! That's why i didn't remember that I had a tail before... I chose to block that part of my memory. That still doesn't explain why my tail's black now though...," Jaune thought.

He just shrugged in thought after looking at himself in the mirror.

"Meh, I'm sure I'll figure out why I look like this now later.," Jaune told himself.

Taking the rest of his bed clothes off, he walked into the shower and soon turned the water on to clean himself. He began thinking about what his next job would be as he got ready for the day. He'd helped this village as much as he possibly could and now it was time to move on again.

"Hmm... well, I've helped this town as much as I can for now. Time to move on, I guess... Where to next though... Mistral maybe?," He thought.

Jaune nodded his head in agreement. He didn't know much about the area, but it was a start at least! Something he had realized during his travels across the Sonus continent was one thing that he never wanted to have to go through again... He was still very inexperienced as a fighter and needed to go a combat school to learn more.

"Ugh... I really... would rather avoid that sort of experience again. But... I need the experience in combat if I'm ever going to be able to defend myself properly.," Jaune thought as he sighed.

He needed to go there but... he'd have to change his name, he no longer wanted to be tied to his past as the exiled son of the Arc family. But what to call himself...

"Hm... what do I want to be called?" He thought.

It was then that one particular name came to mind, though it was a bit... on the unique side.

"Leriac...",Jaune thought.

It was a bit uh.. unique, but it would work. Jaune would refer to himself as Leriac now, but then.. he needed a surname. He thought of one as it uniquely described what he'd been through in the past. The name Nightblade seemed to fit perfectly. So that's the name he would go by. Leriac Nightblade is what he would be called and only those who truly had his trust could ever call him Jaune.

Jaune, now renamed Leriac, nodded to himself and finished drying his hair. Putting on his outfit, he took one last look at himself before gathering his personal items and headingbout of the door with his brown bag slung over his shoulder. As he exited the small house he was staying and heading towards the town's exit, he was stopped by the mayor and the townsman.

"Going somewhere, young man?,"

Leriac turned and smiled as he greeted the village chief.

"Village chief! Yeah, sorry about this but.. I think it's time for me to continue on my journey.," Leriac replied.

"Aw... mr Jaune can't you stay?"

Leriac bent down gave the small faunus children headpats as he smiled at them.

"Sorry, but I have to get going now. I'm a mercenary, remember?"

The children understood, but were still sad to see him go.

"Okay..."

"Will you visit us and play once in awhile?"

"Can you bring back some souvenirs? "

"Will you come back after your journey is over?"

Leriac chuckled as he smiled towards the young children. It was a good mix of faunus children and human children that surprisingly got along. These children didn't care about racial superiority, that was boring stuff that grownups talked about.

"One at a time. And it's Leriac now. But.. you guys can still call me Jaune, if you want.," The the young man said.

The children all smiled at laughed in glee as Leriac (Jaune) stood to his feet.

"I have to get going now. But I'll visit again someday, I promise.", Jaune said shaking hands with the village Chief.

"I see... well then, young... Leriac, was it? Take this with you. I think you'll find it quite useful to you on your journey."

Leriac was confused when he accepted a circular looking device. That is, until the village elder (chief) explained it to him.

"A traveler from long ago had one of these. It serves as sort of a secret wardrobe if I recall correctly? You simply activate like you would a Scroll. It has some extra clothes inside of it for you so you never run short on gear to outfit yourself with. I believe it's called a... dyno capsule?"

Leriac nodded in appreciation for the gift.

"Thank you, village chief. I'll be sure to put it to good use."

"Oh no thanks are necessary, young man. You have helped our small town countless times and all without expecting anything in return. Consider this our gift to you as thanks for helpingbus out for these past 6 months."

Jaune nodded before picking up his brown bag and slinging it onto his back as he then walked out of the village. The villagers waving him farewell and wishing him the best of luck. He waved back to them before blasting off into the sky. Jaune briefly looked at his scroll before heading towards the continent of Anima: his destination, the city of Mistral.

Time skip: Several Months Later...

Jaune had landed upon the continent of Anima several weeks prior and he picked up right where he left off. He continued his mercenary work in Anima. He was seen to often be helping small children, whether Faunus or Human or even both. He was becoming somewhat of a folklore hero in the less than fortunate's eyes. During that time he had earned a few nicknames: The most famous among them being: "The Gentle Giant" or... "The Kind Hearted Mercenary".

Word had spread far and wide about him across Anima, eventually reaching a certain School in Mistral and their Headmaster. It wasn't the most well known school, but it had produced several powerful fighters in recent years. The name of this School was of course "T Patrollers Academy". It was associated with Haven Academy as a sister school of sorts. The "T Patrollers Academy" Haven Academy had a certain arrangement: If young men and women wished to become Huntsman and Huntresses they would take the entrance exam for Haven. But if they either failed Haven's Test or wished to follow a different path, T Patrollers Academy would accept them without question.

The scene is inside of the office of Haven academy where a Young woman with pink skin, matching hair, black eyes, and long elf like ears with small yellow potara earrings stood talking to Haven Academy's headmaster, Leonardo Lionheart. She had long hair down to her mid back, accented by her gold and white robes. Golden yellow pants, matching shoes and long white sleeves finished the look.

Headmaster Leo was looking through some databases when he came across a certain rumor about a "gentle mercenary". He looked towards his fellow associate before speaking up.

"What can you tell me about this.. "Gentle Mercenary" I've been hearing rumors about?" Leo asked.

"Well, from what I have heard... he's helped many people both Faunus and Human alike even though he himself is a faunus. He's even helped humans who hated him at first. As such he's gained their respect and adoration. Some of the more atagonistic humans have changed as a result of working with him or being helped by him.," Chronoa explained.

Leo thought about this with an interested expression.

"Oh? Go on... tell me more." He said now interested in this mercenary.

Chronoa's expression then darkened as she continued.

"While it's true that he's helped many people, he's also been egregiously betrayed and wronged by people as well.," Chronoa replied with a look of slight anger.

Leo's expression softened into one of pity. He signaled for Chronoa to continue, which she did.

"Although he faked his way into Beacon a year and a half ago, instead of helping him to right his mistake: Everyone turned against him. All of the students and even the teammates and friends he shared laughter with at one time. From what I have found out from eye witnesses, he was brutally beaten day in and day out until he was run out of Beacon by the student body. Only the professors, headmaster, two of his friends, and two other teams supported him. Then at the end of his time there, his now former family even disowned him for mere slips of paper. For such a kind young man to go through that much really causes your heart to go out to him.," Chronoa finished.

Leo had the same expression as Chronoa, pity for the young man and utter disappointment in Beacon's students.

"And what is this young man's name, pray tell? I wish to meet him.," Leo asked.

Chronoa shook her head.

"Unfortunately, Leo I was not able to find out that information. It has been kept rather scarce and under wraps since... well... Beacon's reputation has plummeted in the public eye. Yet Ozpin continues to run it. Though... from what I understand, he's much more strict after what happened.," Chronoa answered.

"Indeed, that is a shame what happened to that young man." Leo answered. "Unfortunately, since he was expelled from Beacon..."

"You don't have to say it. Haven can't accept such a student into its halls directly. Which is where I come in, right?," Chronoa said finishing his thought.

"Ah, yes. I'm glad you're so quick on the uptake, Chronoa. If you could..," He started.

Chronoa grinned as she answered him.

"Of course, Leo. I was already planning on taking him into our school myself. This way, the council can't pressure you into tossing him to the wayside. He'll be part of a certified combat school.," Chronoa answered. "Though, he'll take his main schooling courses at Haven, his combat training will be handled by T Patrollers Academy."

Leo nodded and grinned himself at the thought.

"Oh, by the way... would you mind putting together a proper team to represent Haven this year in the Vytal festival? I'm in... a bit of a situation you see where I cannot assemble an official representative team myself."He asked.

Chronoa grinned.

"Of course, Leo. You can leave that to me.," She answered. "I already have some candidates in mind based on the newcomers."

The scene then transitions away from the office and back to the perspective of Jaune, now known as Leriac Nightblade. He's seen walking before he stops and looks up to a pair of massive gates a flight of stairs behind said doors. The words "WELCOME TO MISTRAL" were strewn across the arches above the gate doors.

He had finally made it to the eastern inspired kingdom of Mistral. As he walked through the city gates he stopped and stared towards the mountains above the mistrelian village. A long and winding flight of stairs leading further into a more... "modern" part of the city you could say was seen. From what he heard during his travels through Anima was called the "Conton City district" of Mistral. He breathed in the fresh air of the mountains with a smile, his bag slung on his back, before he looked at the flyer in his hands.

It was an add for a certain.. combat school within the Conton City District of Mistral.

"T Patrollers Academy, huh? No transcripts required...," He said aloud. "No transcripts? What?"

Next to him he noticed a young woman, similar to him with shoulder length red hair, matching eyes, and a furry brown tail. She had a black tank top on with leather shoulder pads, matching black pants with black and white sneakers. She was next to a girl with the same red hair as her, but she had wolf ears and a furry wolf like tail. She also had skin that was tad darker then the other woman, as she wore a long brown jacket, a black tank top, gray pants, with blue sneakers, and a blue belt.

The two young women looked at Leriac as they noticed him also staring towards the Conton district.

"Are you here for the entrance ceremony too?," the first red haired woman asked.

Jaune nodded.

"Yeah. I heard its in the "Conton City District" up there.," Jaune replied as he pointed to above the long flight of stairs.

"I see. You.. look like you're new here. Got a name, stranger?," The young woman asked.

"Who, me?," Jaune pointed at himself surprised.

She gave Jaune a deadpanned look.

"Does it look like I'm talking to anyone else, weirdo?," The Young woman said back.

"S-Sister, come on don't be rude!," the girl with the wolf ears said.

The wolf eared and tailed girl then subtly bowed in apology.

"I'm sorry, mister! Please excuse my elder sister, she didn't mean to insult you...," The wolf eared girl apologized.

Jaune just laughed and waved it off.

"No no it's alright. I should've said my name sooner. Anyways, my name is Leriac Nightblade, but please just call me Leriac.," Jaune said.

"Leriac, huh? That's an odd name.," the first young woman said smirking before she shook Jaune's hand. "Name's Scarlett Reinhardt, but you can refer to me as just Scarlett."

The wolf eared young woman then spoke, albeit a little bashfully.

"H-hello there Leriac.. I-I'm Aiko Reinhardt, but please call me Aiko., " Aiko said a little nervously.

Jaune smiled at the two, they were very pleasant young ladies and very friendly.

"Nice to meet you two, Scarlett and Aiko. It took me a long time to get here. You two seem to know your way around here. Would you mind directing me to where the welcome ceremony for T Patrollers Academy is?," He asked.

"Instead of directing you there... why don't you just come with us? We were headed in that direction anyways.," Scarlett said.

Jaune/Leriac smiled and nodded.

"Ah, thanks. That.. would certainly help.," Leriac/Jaune laughed.

The trio walked towards the gate near the mountains where a crowd of applying students gathered. As they waited, jaune couldn't help but to smile inwardly as he chatted with the two girls he just met. He began to think that maybe everything would turn out alright in the end. He'd been through alot in the past year and a half, but now he was set to begin a new journey after he thought his life was over.

Jaune's new life as the young man named Leriac Nightblade was about to begin anew.

To be continued..

Hey guys, I hope you enjoyed this new crossover's first chapter! Also as you've noticed this is a universe in which the dragon ball Xenoverse and Rwby worlds are combined into one! More of Jaune's new friends will be introduced in the comong chapters.

I decided Ruby and Blake would be among Jaune's only remaining friends at Beacon for... reasons that will be explained later. As for if the others will have a second chance... we'll see. Right now I'm thinking no. Yang and Weiss I'm thinking will be villians/bullies in this story but... I may or may not redeem them later. As for Pyrrha, Ren, Nora, and CRDL... NOPE! I'm keeping them as the villains who can't be reasoned with and ultimately get what they had coming to them.

Now, I know it's only the first chapter but which of the two girls do you think Leriac/Jaune will fall in love with?

A. Scarlett

Or

B. Aiko

More characters will be introduced as the story progresses. So Ruby and Blake will have pairings too but they'll also have character development and a chance to shine too, don't worry. As for the timeline of this story... let's just say it'll take place in between when the Jaunedice arc ends and the beginning of Blake being revealed as a faunus.

Because Blake Ruby are so hostile towards their teammates following Jaune's disappearance from Beacon... things will not play out the same as in cannon. Which means the Vytal festival will have a very different outcome then it did in cannon.

Should I keep Yang a bully?

1. Yes

2. No, redeem her later on

Should Weiss stay the entitled heiress?

1. Yes, for weiss bashing!

2. No, redeem her later on.

Should Weiss die later ij the story?

1. Yes, kill her for what she did to Jaune!

2. No, have her be remorseful so she has a second chance.

Should Yang die?

1. Yes! Ruby can be free of her sister's influence finally.

2. No, give her a chance to redeem herself.

Should Pyrrha die?

1. Yes! Ultimately closure and revenge for Jaune

2. No, but have her suffer severely for her betrayal of Jaune.

Should CRDL die by Jaune's hands?

1. Yes, do it! They deserve it!

2. No, have one of his friends do the deed.

Anyways that's it for now I hope you guys at least found this interesting enough to read. If you follow or favorite it, thank you. If not, at least I had your interest for a little while. Until next time, peace out!
