Hi guys! I'm back!
I'm kind of busy with art trades and Christmas gifts on DeviantArt, but I always make time to work on my fanfic. I've decided to skip Sonic Prime and only watch episodes of Loud House while writing this fanfic, as I have trouble focusing in a single thing.
KRUSA1: Well, while you wait for the new chapters of this Loud fanfic, you can read my Sonic fanfics. It has a lot of cool material for you to know.
Guest: Calm down, we'll still get there. Indeed, Lincoln's vocation for draw comics don't need to die with him.
Vallalkozo: Lucy is bored and prefers to keep her distance from the supernatural, at least for now. This is a Lola-centric fanfic, but Lucy will get her own fanfic focused on her suffering.
Now it's time for Lola and Lucy to overcome their differences and come together for a common cause.
Enjoy!
Chapter 04:
Lola Gets Muddy
After much searching and persistence, Lana finds her beloved albino skunk and brings him home. His future inevitably passes through the direct vote of the sisters (although the scrutiny is now more hard, without Lincoln to cast the tie-breaking vote).
By 6 votes to 4, the skunk gains the status of member of the family, alongside the dog Charles Schulz, the cat Cliff Sterrett, the bird Walt Kelly, the hamster George Herriman and the frog Hops.
And by 9 votes to 1, his name is not Lincoln.
The not-so-friendly atmosphere in the house is soon broken when Lynn Sr. and Rita decide to take the family to Central Park from Royal Woods. Everyone gets an injection of energy with the idea, except Lucy. So much so that she is the last to join Vanzilla, after some resistance.
Once in the park, the sisters fan out into small groups. There is no risk of them getting lost, as each one carries (voluntarily) a tracker set up by Lisa, with them being able to be located quickly by the parents in the smartphone. It's enough that they don't get involved in danger and don't talk to strangers.
Lucy, who never leave home without her sunglasses (or "moonglasses", as she prefer) since she removed her bangs, prefers to stay with her parents and baby Lily, but Lynn Jr., with a orange headband, won't allow it.
"Come on, Lucy."
"I'm not going anywhere."
"I know what you need."
"No, I don't need exercise."
"Not that. You need to vent."
"Huh?"
"Come on," The athletic sister gives her hand. "You will have plenty of time to talk to me alone."
After making the fingers of her hand "dance" for a few seconds, Lucy surrenders to her private bodyguard.
"That's how I like it," Lynn Jr. smiles as she walks out hand in hand with Lucy.
"Have fun, girls," Rita waves.
"Take care," Lynn Sr. warns.
"Gah-Gah," Lily completes.
Meanwhile, Lola and Lana walk hand in hand towards their destiny.
"Here. This looks like a nice apple tree," Lola points out, in a white shirt and blue jeans, holding an empty bucket.
"Okay," Lana agrees. "You pick your apples and I'll make a beautiful mud sculpture."
"Done deal."
But Lola has another plan.
Midway through, Lynn Jr. tries to cheer up Lucy:
"Are you afraid to speak?"
"No."
"Then..."
"I'm not in the mood."
"So... You need some energy," Lynn Jr. decrees, unceremoniously removing Lucy's moonglasses!
"Hey! Give it back!"
"Come get it!" Lynn Jr. starts to run.
"Traitor!" Lucy goes after her, running as fast as she can.
Lola takes off her shoes and starts climbing the tree. She is gaining experience. Lincoln and Lynn Jr. taught her very well.
She climbs to a specific branch and sits there, watching her sister work.
Lana, with her plastic water bottle (she never discards PET bottles, respecting the environment), makes a puddle of mud on dirt floor.
As soon as Lana has her hands in the mud, Lola jumps off the branch and lands on sister's back, sending her face down in the mud!
BLOSH!
Luna and Luan are startled to find Lucy on the ground, attacked by Lynn Jr. with... tickle!
"HA HA HA HA HA HA!" Lucy's laugh seems a little more lively than usual. "Help, I'm being tortured!"
"Taste your poison!" Lynn blusters.
"HA HA HA HA HA HA! I don't want to talk! I just want my glasses back!"
"Take her glasses!" Lynn tosses the moonglasses to Luna, who catches them mid-air.
And the torture continues!
"Don't be so cruel, Lynn," Luna pleads, smiling slightly.
"Go ahead!" Luan encourages, with fist clenched. "Lucy has to learn to live gladsses! Get it?!"
Lori and Leni, both in tracksuits, interrupt their jogging to watch the mud pies war between Lola and Lana!
"Oh my God, Lola!" Leni is shocked. "You are totes horrible!"
Suddenly, Lola and Lana just hug and laugh uncontrollably!
"Leave them," Lori puts a hand on Leni's shoulder. "As long as they're happy..."
"And since when is Lola happy about dirt?" Leni frowns.
"I think we're all starting to realize that life is too short to lose our minds over idiocy," Lori philosophizes.
"Yeah... Maybe that explains why you've been leaving your smartphone at home more."
By night, Lola is a new girl.
"Aahh…I feel 20 years younger," She comments, lying on her back in her bed, wearing white heart pajamas, with the albino skunk in her lap.
"Snowflake really likes you," Lana observes, lying face down next to Lola, wearing a teal nightgown. "You don't even look the same who earlier..."
"Shh, don't bring it up," Lola demands, eyes closed. "I still wouldn't have brought him home, but I have to understand that I'm not the boss of the world and..."
KNOCK-KNOCK!
"Who is?" Lola asks.
"It's me, Lucy. Can I enter?"
"Not true," Lana scoffs. "The real Lucy never knocks before entering."
"Want me to scare you?" Lucy mocks. "I can do this..."
"We have nothing to talk," Lola sits down on the bed and crosses her arms.
"Please. I have a little mystery for you both."
"Oops, mystery is up to us!" Lana punches the air. "Come in, dear."
Lola raises the hand to her face while the Loud ambassador to Afterlife (who is currently negotiating her permanence in the post) slowly opens the door and enters softly, wearing a white tank top and black shorts. And with that same paper in hand.
"Can I sit?" She asks, heading for Lola's bed.
"Of course," Lana doesn't even let Lola answer. "Go on, Snowflake, get on Aunt Lucy's lap."
The animal doesn't hesitate and climbs on Lucy's knees, sniffing her hand.
"He he he..." Lucy laughs softly as she smoothes the animal's fur. "You could have your original color. Would remind me more of Fangs. May he rest in peace."
Lola clears her throat:
"Well, Lucy, you must be waiting for me to apologize for insulting you earlier."
"In truth no. But I forgive you."
"Anyway, I'm sorry," Lola lowers the head and puts her hand over heart.
"I also apologize for my harsh words," Lucy runs a hand through her hair. "I don't want you and the other sisters to think that I spend my whole life angry with you."
"You're so much better than that, Lucy," Lana soothes.
"Truce?" Lola offers the little finger of her left hand.
"Truce," Lucy gives the little finger of her right hand.
The two fingers intertwine.
"Well, lie here while you listen what Lincoln told me in my dream."
"No thanks," Lucy remains sitting on the bed. "I have no interest in listening the words of an imposter."
Lola sighs.
Lana points:
"Hey, Lucy, what paper is this?"
"It's Lincoln's last wishlist, which he wrote a few weeks before he died."
"Ah! Great! Read to us. We are very curious."
"Don't be silly," Lucy adopts a serious tone of voice. "I didn't come here to bring you reminiscences."
"Well, what is about anyway?" Lola wants to know.
"Well, let's go," Lucy begins. "I found this paper inside Lisa's metal filing cabinet."
"And what were you doing snooping through Lisa's papers?" Lola frowns.
Lucy is stunned!
"Doesn't matter," She ignores, trying to stay calm. "He started by writing a few wishes and expanded the list as the days went by. Today was the first time I read the entire document. Obviously, not all of his wishes could be fulfilled."
Lola and Lana feel a little pain in their hearts.
Lucy continues:
"Here we have a lot of obvious things like 'donate my coin collection to Clyde,' 'help Mom write a book,' 'give Lynn a makeup,' 'write a song with Luna,'... But what stumped me was the last item on the list. It's the most enigmatic of all."
"Why?" Lana asks.
"What wish is that?" Lola has no idea.
"See with your own eyes."
Lola and Lana approach and together read the last item on the list pointed out by Lucy:
"If I find my orange paper notebook, throw on fire. I don't want to preserve what's written."
... ... ...
"Throw on fire?" Lana is startled. "But why would he do that?"
"What notebook is this anyway?" Lola wonders.
"I have no idea," Lucy assures. "Lisa showed up and I asked about the orange notebook. She replied that she doesn't know anything and that she has no interest in investigating the fate of a document whose probability of being found again, in her accounts, is 1 in 12,000."
Lola lights up:
"Aahh... So that's why you went into Lincoln's room today."
"Exactly," Lucy confirms. "I wanted to dig around to see if there was anything there. But then I met you, Lola, and we got into an argument."
"But then what?" Lana wants to know. "Did you find anything in his room?"
"Not. Just his sketchbooks. Nothing surprising."
Lola stands on the bed:
"Well, I get the message. Tomorrow we three will start investigating."
"Exactly," Lucy smiles slightly. "We four. Me, you, Lana and Lynn. We're going to interrogate Lincoln's friends at school and see if any of them have any clues for us."
"Will be great!" Lana gets excited. "And like Lincoln did, we have to name our plan."
Lola decides:
"Let's call 'Operation Notebook!' "
Lucy finishes:
"On behalf of Lincoln Legacy."
To Be Continued...
Here it is! Now we'll see Lola and Lana join Lucy in a great mystery involving Lincoln! What was so surprising about his notebook? And why would he be ashamed to show the content to someone?
