I took my seat in biology and watched as students filed in. Class was about to start when a girl came in and she walked over to Mr Banner's desk. He signed her slip and sent her to the only empty desk, next to me (poor girl). She sat down next to me and I locked down every muscle in my body, she smelled sweeter than anyone else I had ever encountered. How was I supposed to get through this entire hour without killing her? But then she shifted her weight and the scent that filled my senses was hardly worth noticing, as if she were just like me, a vampire. Only adding to the weird factor was that I couldn't read her mind. "Hello, '' I said in a polite voice, turning to face her. "Hi", she responded in a hesitant voice. "I'm Edward Cullen", I continued. She smiled at me and held out her hand for me to shake, I didn't take it, I avoided physical contact with humans at any cost (not that I could tell her that).She dropped it, "Hope, Marshall", she said. Not that she needed to all day. The entire student body had not stopped talking about the new girl. I'd seen her face and name in every kid's head today, repeated in thought after thought. At that moment Mr. Banner began class and our conversation was cut short. When class ends she leaves as fast as possible. overcome with confusion I don't bother going to my last class of the day, I just waited in my car for my siblings. A little while later Hope Marshall walked across the parking lot and got in an old chevy truck. Just then Alice hopped into the passenger seat as Jasper, Rosalie and Emmett slid into the backseat. start the car, Edward, Rose snapped at me in her head. I complied, reliving biology in my head. Once we got home I had come to a conclusion, Hope Marshall had secrets and I was going to find out what they were.
