The entire drive home Letty's mind raced thinking about Dominic possibly having a child. But Jack's last name is O'Conner…In this day in age that means nothing. Jack could have his mom's last name. Which would mean Dominic isn't married. Married….nah. Any sane woman would not let their hot firefighter husband…boyfriend….whatever out to a club on a Saturday. Especially in LA.

Once she made it home she decided to distract herself and make dinner. Something quick and easy- spaghetti. I wonder if Dominic likes spaghetti…And before she knew it she was texting Dominic asking "What's your favorite food?"

His reply was instant "Mmm take a guess"

L: If I had a guess off the top of my head, maybe Cuban or Italian (or Irish she thought)

D: Actually Chinese!

L: Good to know

D: Is it? What are you planning?

L: Planning? Absolutely nothing. Just making conversation

D: If you say so *laughing emoji*

Letty had no idea what to say but wanted to acknowledge what happened today.

L: So, I met your dad

D: I heard you ran into my father today

Both messages were sent at the same time. It made her smile a bit. She decided to just call him. He answered on the second ring

"Letty. Letty. Letty." she giggled "I am making dinner so I only have a few minutes but I am glad you called. Much easier that way." she stated firmly.

"I agree Dom. I'm also making dinner which prompted the food question. But we can talk about that another time. I did meet your father when he came to pick up Jack. Any relation to you?"

"Yes, Jack is my nephew." Letty sighed audibly. "But I'm surprised you didn't run into my son too he picked them both up."

"Son?" she whispered "Dominic, you have a child. Do you have a wife as well that you forgot to mention during our very long talk that evening?" She exclaimed. She turned off the pot of spaghetti because she instantly lost her appetite.

"Letty, it's not like that." He paused and switched the call to facetime, and she accepted. He smiled at her. The natural beauty in a navy crew neck and messy bun. And he is in a white tee shirt. "I am not married. Never have been, but I have a son- Brian Toretto. His mother passed when he was a baby. It's been me and him ever since."

"Dom, I'm so sorry. I'm just shocked. We talked for hours and hours and you left out such a huge part of your life. Not only are you a single father but you lost someone so important to you."

"I really did plan on telling you, maybe on our next date. And trust me, my father already yelled at me for this. I am truly sorry but dating as a single father is so hard. I just wanted to be sure"

"Sure about what?" she asked quickly "we haven't even gone on a date"

"I don't know Letty, I just wanted to be sure. Before I open up about the most important aspect of my life."

"That, that I can understand. If it's any constellation, I have met Brian before and he's a very funny kid," she says with the sweetest smile that melts him from the inside out.

"Yeah? He gets it from me ya know" she states proudly. "Funniest firefighter in my house"

"Sure, Dom. Sure." She took a deep breath and smiled at him. "What are you making?" she asks as she walks over to her couch.

Dominic flips the camera so she can see his masterpiece "Ceviche, tostadas, and rice"

"That sounds delicious. Better than spaghetti for sure."

"I'm sure your spaghetti is wonderful." she just shakes her head as he laughs.

"Well, Dominic, I will let you go so you can enjoy your dinner," she says softly. Hanging on to every word in hopes that he makes a move.

"Thanks. And thanks for being understanding. I truly wasn't trying to lie Letty." she smiles and nods her head. "When can I take you out on a real date?" He asks quickly before she gets the chance to hang up.

She smiles and blushes just a little. "Dominic, you can take me on a date whenever. How about Wednesday night?"

His smile drops slightly. "I have a 24-hour shift Wednesday. Let's do Friday night. I can get a sitter or Brian can stay the night at my sisters. It will also give me time to plan something amazing. What do you think?"

"Friday sounds perfect Dom."

"See you then Letty."
