Part six of the World's Collide series
Crossover-digimon
Author Notes: Well ladies and gents I am alive, and ready to celebrate Octwober. And that means we're diving into one of my favorite games from this year. Add in some franchises I also love dearly and we have a crazy time.
Please keep in mind that the author notes of all the current cult of a lamb one shots will probably follow have the same stuff in them with one or two differences based on the franchise that it will be working with. So not gonna lie, this one came somewhat out of nowhere...
Before I realized that I've been working on a digimon story for quite some time now. Now its not a game franchise which does break the mold. But arguably pokemon was the same way since I started with the metal gen 1 coins and the show.
Either way, we're diving into Digimon Tamers specifically since it's Sen's favorite version of the bunch(sucks that he's trying to pester a full series of this...) I do not own Digimon or Cult of a Lamb
3rd P.O.V
Sen slammed the door to his bedroom shut with a growl. "Dammit...I'll show them." He couldn't believe the day he had. "Can't believe those jerks won't let me help. Just because I don't have a digimon?" He cursed under his breath as he threw his backpack off.
He felt his phone vibrate in his pocket but chose to ignore it, knowing who it was. It stopped a moment later, no doubt his phone call getting a full voicemail...only for it to ring again, pissing him off all the more.
"Fuck off Takato!" The middle schooler didn't want to hear it, any of it. It had been a long time since he felt so betrayed. Out of all their friends...all of them, he was the one who believed Takato's story of digimon being real.
So why...was he the only one without a partner. "It's not fair." His fingers clenched as once more his cell's shrilly ring hit his ears. With a yell he throws the phone in his pocket against the wall. The force so strong it broke off in half.
One flew off scraping against the floor, disappearing from sight. The other part fell onto his desk, right where his manga, cards and art supplies from school laid. His anger filled gaze landed specifically on the art supplies when a thought comes to him.
"Guilmon..." The red lizard that could eat a mountains' worth of food wasn't in the card game. Sen would've collected his card ages ago if that was the case, it was then he remembered the first time he met him. When Takato was trying to prove to the rest of their friends that digimon were real...and were in their world.
'I drew him. And the next day he came to life!'
Maybe that wasn't exactly what his friend had said, but that was the gist of the situation. Takato designed him, and the overgrown red reptile came to be his partner. "If he could do it...why can't I?" For weeks Sen had been searching for digimon, someone that he could befriend and get a digivice from.
He had been careful, always staying out of the danger zone when he found out the latest arrivals weren't too friendly. But after his so called friends found out, he got nothing but pitiful looks and from Reika-his crush specifically...telling him to butt out of it.
It wasn't fair that Kenta and Kazu got partners! If Sen hadn't been dealing with a serious fever from the flu he would've gone with them that day-he would've found a digimon he would've clicked with and no one would've been able to stop him from that bastard that killed Jerry's Leomon.
But that was fine, he didn't need to go to the Digital World...not when the solution to getting a partner was right within his grasp all along. "It shouldn't be too hard." Going onto his computer, he starts looking up art tutorials.
Grabbing a blank piece of paper and pencil he starts listing down notes from the tutorials as well as things he liked. A grin formed on his face as all sorts of cool designs and ideas flooded his mind. "This is going to be a piece of cake!"
3 hours later...
Another groan escaped him as he ripped the paper to his notebook. He crumbled it, forming it into a ball before he tossed it behind him. Landing into an already filled to the brim trashcan. "Not again!" He had been at this for so long with nothing good to show.
"He made this look so easy!" His lips snarled in frustration as he stared at his lead covered fingers. Eraser remains covered his entire desk. Despite looking up tutorials, being extra careful and even using characters from his various manga as references, there was not one drawing he liked.
Portions that didn't match right. Pictures that overall didn't look good. What ones he DID manage to get that were decent were creatures that were too cutesy, and too small. He didn't want something like terriermon.
Being a pro player in the card games he knew small and cute were par for the course for rookie digimon. But he didn't want that. One that looked tough, that could be intimidating but looked good. He wanted something like Guilmon but that had a personality that matched him.
But after all this time...he couldn't do it. "I just...want a partner too. I want to help too." He nearly leaped out of his seat as harsh knocks banged on his door. "Hey bro, time for dinner." With a sigh he gets out of his seat.
"Coming." The moment he left his room, slamming his door shut, the lights he left on began to flicker. The various papers he threw in the trash floated into the air, swirling around into a mini tornado.
The various scribbled and erased sketches conglomerated into one...red eyed form. Fluffy wool hidden within a battered cape. A black demonic crown with an eye on the top of its head, finished off with huge black oozing claws. Right beside it on the floor, a digivice with the text written...'Master? Where are you?'
to be continued
Author Notes: Is it a surprise at this point that Sen asks for more the moment an idea sparks? In this case he wants this one probably the most. But uh yeah, honestly don't know where this idea really came from but I'm happy with how it came out.
(This is the copy author notes for the series. Feel free to skip if you've already seen it.) Also for those wondering, yes, I am making Lambi a mute character. Personally I just feel like Lambi doesn't like talking unless addressing cult members so that's just a me thing,
It's going to be canon as far as this series is concerned. Another thing is though this is part of a series of one shots, the only thing they have in common is the fact that the stories are a crossover involving cult of a lamb.
They have no relevance to each other and can be read on their own, which is why they're going to be considered their own pieces. Is that everything? I think that's everything. Anyone with questions feel free to pm. But that is it for now.
Guys thank you so much for reading this story. If you like it please feel free to fav/follow/review as it would mean a crap ton to us to see people liking our work. See you next time. Tchao for now.
