Together With The Sunset

It was a lovely warm Summer evening at the coastal region on The Island of Sodor. The beach looked rich yet rocky, but it wasn't what made the beach look appealing, but it was the beautiful sunset that the scenery has to offer. The colours from the dying sun gave a nice shade from fuchsia to amber yellow.

At a secluded part of the rocky beach, two unique appearing dinosaurs were chilling on the hot cosy sand. The dinosaurs stood out as they both seem to have a peculiar funnel shape on their head, which produces steam like engines and has a whistle attached to their tail.

However, they also stood out from each other as one a medium size dinosaur that was covered with pure white seagull feathers and his skin was blue as the sea and his eyes were icy crystal blue. The other one was a large green dinosaur that looked like it was some kind of woodland creature with appealing amber eyes and his spine looked like sharp dagger leaves.

The green dinosaur was not in the best of mood as he growled quietly and he laid his head against the sand, looking like he was going to fall asleep. The blue dinosaur noticed the troubled dinosaur next to him as he gave him a small frown of concern. He knew something was up, but he didn't know until he got the answer. There, he looked at the depressed dinosaur and spoke softly to him, "What's troubling you, Henry?"

Henry only responded by giving a quick glance at the blue dinosaur with the same frown upon with his visible underbite shown as he looked away. The blue dinosaur knew that this was something serious as usually Henry would tell his problem with no issue, but this one was something really troublesome. Despite something that was bothering Henry, the blue dinosaur didn't want to keep pestering him with the question as he decided to wait patiently until he responded.

After what felt like forever, despite the sun still setting slowly and subtly, Henry finally made a move by flipping his massive body to the side, sighing and growling heavily during the process. With that, Henry finally spoke in a deep tone in an anguish manner, "Oh, Edward... It's Gordon and James. They both kept picking on me for the past two weeks."

Edward frowned as he shook his head sadly, "These two hot headed idiots.", Edward mumbled to himself before he looked at Henry and replied, "Henry, these two are just being silly. They have nothing better to do than to make jokes upon someone's flaws or mistakes."

"That's the problem.", Henry explained and he began to lament, "They kept teasing me when I had an accident three weeks ago. They kept calling me nasty names and they claimed that it was just a "joke". I just don't get why they do it. It makes me feel pathetic."

Edward's eyes widened before he sighed in sadness as he knew that Henry was such a sensitive soul with good intentions, but seemed to be often the victim of jokes. Knowing Gordon and James too well, he really wanted to bring karma upon them so they stop teasing someone's mistake, yet he knew this wasn't the right time as for now, he needed to make Henry feel good about himself.

"Henry. You know that we all make mistakes, and these two are no exception.", Edward replied kindly, "But it's no excuse for them to go and pick on someone just to make them look tough."

"I'm not.", Henry sighed.

"Yes you are, Henry. You're such a kind, honest, and resourceful dinosaur that I ever met. You may have made some mistakes in the past, but do you know what you have that Gordon and James don't?", Edward questioned Henry as he slowly approached his face.

"What?", he asked with his eyes a bit lit from curiosity.

"Having resilience and being accountable.", Edward answered as he nudged Henry's face, "You'll always be my silly yet sweet Henry."

With that, he gently licked Henry's cheek as he began to purr like a giant cat. Henry blushed a bit before he looked at Edward's icy blue eyes in surprise. Edward looked at Henry's amber eyes with a loving smile as Henry returned the response with a smile.

There, Henry got up as he rested his chin against Edward's body and roared to let out all of his frustration. Although Henry's roar was mighty loud, Edward tolerated it as he knew Henry was the type to roar or cry out loud to let out his anguish to feel better.

Once Henry had a good roar for a solid of one minute, Edward slid away from Henry's chin before he looked at him and asked, "Feel better?"

"I'm always better when you're around.", Henry responded as he leaned to Edward as he blep his tongue out.

Edward's behaviour towards Henry was mutual as the two noses' met as they stared at each other's eyes with pure love. Edward and Henry always loved each other, despite being somewhat opposite in many ways, but together, they were such a great team, and they were always there for each other. No matter what the weather has to offer.

As they stared at each other's eyes, it felt as if the world stopped for them as no sorrow, anger, or frustration were present in both the dinosaurs' hearts as all they felt was love, happiness, and joy. With the dying sun still going slow, Henry was the first to make a move by licking Edward's left cheek as he gave him a goofy looking smile with a thundering purr.

Edward was glad that Henry felt better for now as he responded by licking Henry's right cheek and purred as well. With that, they two nudged and rested on each other's faces as they continued to purr and give each other licks.

Having beautiful scenery behind them made it even more romantic. What's more, ocean waves crashed gently against the rocks as it produced a satisfying splashing noise as nothing could disturb the two. Their love was raw and strong that nobody could deny it.

Once the two giant dinosaurs finished giving each other dino kisses, they both turned their attention towards the sunset as they leaned each other, allowing them to relax from such a hectic day. Dinosaurs may wreck things, but they are certainly capable of expressing emotions, empathy, and setting boundaries.

After an hour of watching the gradient sky and the yellow sun about to drown in the ocean, the dinosaurs were finally fast asleep as they both leaned against each other and allowed the calming ocean noise soothing them, and with them purring contently, made their day and soon to be night alright.

Henry was forever thankful to have Edward entered his life as even though Edward can be stern, he was mature, wise, and compassionate and would always be willing to help or listen. Henry felt lucky to have him and Edward felt the same. They always stay with each other, and that's called "togetherness".
