Timeline of Events
2025: Humans return to the Moon on the Artemis 1 SLS rocket.
2026: SpaceX lands the first module of the new Lunar Base.
2026: The Lunar Gateway station is installed in orbit around the moon.
2027: First module of the new International Space Station into orbit.
2028: The lunar base is completed on the moon.
2029: SpaceX uses the Starship to land the first humans on Mars.
2031: The old international space station is deorbited as the new one is finished.
2032: The Martain base begins to take shape
2032: SpaceX uses the three Starships to launch the Multiplanetary rover mission.
2033: Exploratory rovers land on Venus and Mercury.
2034: Exploratory rovers land the four major moons of Jupiter and the moons Enceladus and Titan of Saturn.
2045: First crewed mission to the dwarf planet Ceres.
2048: Four Starships launch sending four crewed missions to the moons Europa, Ganymede, Titan and Enceladus.
2052: Population of Mars surpasses 7,000.
2065: Test of the SpaceX Starship 2. The first nuclear fusion powered spacecraft.
2066: Elon Musk dies.
2075: SpaceX increases its fleet of Fusion Starships to 50 operating throughout the solar system.
2077: The New Voyage I, II, III, and IV are launched. The four semitruck sized probes powered by helium fusion engines reach speeds of 37,000 miles per second on course to the Alpha Centuari system.
2090: The population of Mars surpasses 100,000. The moon surpasses 25,000. Outpost settlements on Mercury, Venus, Ceres, Ganymede, Europa, Titan, and Enceladus are thriving with combined populations of over 25,000.
2099: The New Voyage probes arrive at the Alpha Centuari system.
2108: The population of Mars surpasses 1,000,000.
2120: The population of Mars surpasses 1,500,000.
2122: SpaceX establishes the Mars Federal Republic, becoming the first Government outside of Earth.
2124: Joesph Marlow is elected the first President of Mars.
2148: Research teams from SpaceX discover a 66,000,000-year-old alien archive in the Valis Marinaris.
2154: After six years of research, scientists unlock physics breaking dark matter technology. Artificial gravity, Helium-3 fusion sub light drives, dark matter hyperlight jump drive.
2157: First spacecraft with new technologies installed is launched.
2165: The great colonization exodus begins.
2170: NASA probes discover a dormant mass relay in the outer Kuiper belt.
2171: The Sol relay is activated. Researchers discovered it is an interconnected relay system between star systems with habitable planets.
2165-2483: The great colony exodus. The newly formed United Nations Systems Alliance settles along the Orion arm on several hundred colony worlds within 10,000 light years from Earth. The newly formed United Colonial Republic Federation settles in the Attican Traverse along the edge of the galaxy colonizing hundreds of worlds.
2183: The United Nations Systems Alliance founds its own military branch. The UNSA department of the Navy and Marines.
2195: The United Colonial Republic Federation founds its own military branches: The Navy, The Marines, The Colonial Defense Force, and the Special Operations and Reconnaissance Task Force or SOAR.
2248: The UCRF has violent first contact with the Batrarian Hegemony. Beginning of the Attican Conflict.
2251: The UCRF makes first contact with the Quarian Migrant Fleet.
2252: With the Attican Conflict at a stalemate and reaching a crisis point, the UCRF Congress passes the Armed Forces Modernization Act. The new bill allows Congress to lend unlimited funding to the complete overhaul of the Republic Armed Forces.
2253: The Navy SOAR task forces begin conducting covert mission inside Batarian Hegemony Space
2254: The UCRF and the Quarian Migrant fleet sign an Alliance Agreement, guaranteeing peace and free trade between the two races.
2255: SpaceX Federal shipyards R&D department unveil the new class of warship for the Republic navy. A battleship/carrier hybrid called a Battlestar, inspired by an early 21st century sci-fi tv series.
2256: The new Battlestar sees its first action. Able to deal out devastating amounts of firepower and superior fighter support, the new warship turns the outcome of every battle it fights into a victory for the UCRF.
2259: By this point in the war, the Batarian Hegemony has no clear path to winning the war. A slew of devastating defeats over the last three years has left the Batarian navy on its last leg. The Batarian Hegemony offers terms for peace.
2260: The Batarian Hegemony and the UCRF sign the Attican Peace Treaty, the treaty secures permanent rights to the territory and Colonies under UCRF control, plus territory connecting the UCRF to earth and Alliance space.
2261: The UNSA has first contact with the Turians when they activate a dormant mass relay. The following 3-month conflict would be known as the First Contact War.
2262-2459: The UCRF continues to develop its colonies and settling new ones.
2465: The UCRF has by this point settled over one-thousand colonies.
2469: At the 215th Alliance Summit the UCRF and the Quarian Migrant Fleet sign the Flotilla Annexation act. The new law officially recognizes the Migrant Fleet as part of the UCRF and the Quarian people as citizens of the Republic. The law also offers settlement to Quarian citizens on any colony world and the right to serve in the military and public office.
2470: Millions of Quarians begin to leave the Migrant Fleet and start settling on Republic worlds, though some not wanting to give up tradition and way of life choose to stay on the Flotilla.
2475: Finally free of the constraints of the Flotilla, the Quarian race starts to experience a population boom.
2481: The Citadel Council is deeply angered by the UCRF decision to accept the Quarians into their civilization.
2483: The UCRF passes the Multispecies immigration act, allowing all species except batarian and vorcha to emigrate to the UCRF.
2485: Millions of Turians, Salarians, and Asari begin migrating to the Republic.
2486: Thanks to development in medical technology the first human lives past 300 years old. Humanity joins the ranks of species with multi-century lifespans.
2495: Antonio Ivanov is born to an Italian-Russian family on a planet in the Terminus Systems.
2530: The Terminus Communist Party begins taking over planets in the Terminus Systems.
2538: Hershel Browning is born on Jashera, a small rural world in inner colonies. Hershel is born into the Browning family, a wealthy industrial family known for their companies in mining, defense contracting, and aerospace engineering.
2552: Antonio Ivanov is elected by the general assembly to be the leader of the Terminus Communist Union.
2556: Funded by the Terminus Communist Union, the Batarian Hegemony, and several anti-Republic Terminus factions; mercenary armies start raiding UCRF colonies bordering the terminus systems. Entire colonies are being destroyed and hundreds of thousands of colonists abducted and forced into slavery. This begins the raiding wars.
2559: At 21 years old Hershel Browning enlists in the Republic Marines in response to the colony raids.
2572: When Antonio Ivanov loses his reelection as General Secretary, he launches a coup against the Terminus Communist Union. Ivanov turns the TCU into an absolute dictatorship.
2575: Antonio Ivanov issues his Terminus Manifesto, a proclamation to take control of the entire Terminus Systems.
2577: Liara T'Soni is born on Thessia.
2578: Now a Captain, Hershel Browning leads a special forces marine platoon into support of a SOAR team. During a mission on a world in the Terminus Systems to rescue enslaved colonists a proximity mine deals mortal wounds to him. In order to save his life his family uses its influence and his military career to get him accepted into the SOAR program.
2581: As part of the SOAR program Hershel undergoes three years of surgical and genetic modification. His bones are reinforced with Titanium nanotubes, his muscle strength and skin tensile strength are reinforced with carbon nanotubes. His body is implanted with an internal life support system and tissue repairing nanobots. As part of the modifications by SOAR, Hershel life expectancy increases to over 500.
2582: Heshel Carter officially becomes a member of the SOARs.
2585: Antonio Ivanov declares war on the rest of the Terminus systems.
2586: Ivanov's military forces start conquering multiple planets across the Terminus Systems.
2595: With most of the major governments in the Terminus Systems collapsed, Aria T'Loak takes command of all resistance forces in Terminus Systems.
2611: Omega is besieged by military forces from TCU. After a 117-day siege Aria T'Loak is forced to abandon Omega and retreat to the Terminus Underground.
2628: John Shepard is born on Arcturus Station to Representative Doug Shepard and Naval Commander Hannah Shepard.
2629: Garrus Vakarian is born on Palaven.
2631: Jennifer Shepard is born on Arcturus Station to Representative Doug Shepard and Naval Commander Hannah Shepard.
2634: Mordin Solus is born on Sur'Kesh.
2636: Kaiden Alenko is born on the UNSA colony of Terra Ceti in the Tau Ceti system.
2640: Ashley Williams is born on Mars in the Sol System.
2642: TCU forces reach the border between the Terminus Systems and the UCRF.
2643: By this point the TCU has control of the entire Terminus Systems and nearly a third of the entire galaxy.
2644: Antonio Ivanov makes a declaration of war against the UCRF, saying that the territory of the UCRF is rightfully that of the TCU. That same year thousands of warships with TCU launched full out attacks on dozens of UCRF colonies.
2645: UCRF congress issues a declaration of war against the TCU and orders a full mobilization of all UCRF forces.
2646: The UCRF launches a massive counter offensive against the TCU.
2647: Within a year the UCRF has reclaimed all its colonies that were attacked in 2644.
2648: Special forces Colonel Hershel Browning leads covert missions inside the TCU in preparation for the UCRF invasion.
2648: Tali' Zorah is born on the Migrant Fleet.
2650: The UCRF deploys over half of its naval power, 30,000 ships, into TCU territory. Along with naval power they deployed 25,000,000 ground personnel into TCU territory. Marking the largest invasion force in recorded galactic history.
2650-2657: Colonel Hershel Browning would lead hundreds of special operations behind enemy lines, taking outline enemy commanders and acquiring enemy intel.
2659: By this point the Terminus War has escalated into a massive conflict on multiple fronts across dozens of star systems. The UCRF has nearly 50,000,000 ground personnel deployed in the Terminus systems and over 40,000 warships. The UCRF is getting desperate for more experienced combat leaders to lead its armies. The federation defense department starts pulling SOAR commanders and making them field marshals.
2660: Now a Field Marshal, Hershel Browning leads his first successful battle against TCU forces. By wars end he would become a highly decorated and successful battlefield commander.
2663: The second battle of Omega. UCRF forces liberate Omega from the TCU.
2665: The Terminus Communist Union has lost over half of its territory and its military forces are in serious disarray.
2666: The UCRF prepares to launch its last major offensive against the TCU, they deploy 50,000 ships and 60,000,000 ground personnel.
2667: The UCRF launches its last major offensive against the TCU.
2669: The UCRF counter offensive starts to stagnate in its advance. In hopes to end the war soon, the UCRF orders 30,000,000 more ground personnel and 25,000 more ships be deployed to the Terminus Systems.
2670: The UCRF has the largest military in known galactic history, with 250,000,000 personnel and 125,000 ships.
2671: Seeing that defeat is inevitable, Antonio Ivanov takes his best and remaining forces and retreats into the unknown regions of the Terminus systems near the galactic center.
2672: The Terminus War ends with the surrender of TCU forces, ending the conflict after 28 years.
2672-2675: Clean-up of remaining TCU forces and withdrawal of UCRF forces from the Terminus Systems.
2675: The Allied Independent Systems are formed, 395 worlds independently governed under the same system, bordering the UCRF.
2676: The UCRF congress approves continuation of limited military operations in the Terminus Systems until 2686.
2681: The AIS signs a 99-year territorial agreement with the UCRF, in exchange for protection by the UCRF military and the right to stay independently governed, the UCRF gets rights for trade, free travel, and settlement on worlds for its citizens.
2683: Current events begin.
