I had Miss. Everdeen and her Bridal party getting ready at the Mansion.

Peeta and his Groomsmen were getting ready in the District 12's Living Quarters.

I had her here to ensure they don't see each other before the Wedding.

"I'm not letting another stylist dress me."

Miss. Everdeen walked off in the white robe that said "Bride" on the back of it in silver.

You heard Primrose laughing.

"You finally realize how stubborn Katniss is?" Cinna questioned.

"She's all yours."

I opened the door.

Katniss was in the white robe that said "Bride" on the back of it in silver.

Prim, Madge, and Delly were in their pink robes.

Madge's and Delly's had "Bridesmaids" in white.

Prim's had "Maid of Honor" in gold.

"Let's begin, girls."

She laughed.

I helped Katniss slide her white Sweetheart Mermaid tulle lace backless Wedding dress with pearls on it on.

I put her hair in a Rose Bun.

I wasn't putting make-up on Katniss's face.

She slid her feet into her white pointed toe stiletto heels.

Prim was in her long burgundy satin dress.

I put her long blonde hair into a Ballerina Bun.

Madge and Delly were in their light purple Bridesmaid dresses.

I put their hair in Fishtail Braids.

Prim slid her feet into red pointed toe high heel pumps.

"It's amazing as always, Cinna."

"Now, your dress would look even more amazing if you weren't an idiot. And didn't pick a fight with a Peacekeeper."

Katniss groaned in pain.

"Are you gonna make it your style?"

"What?"

"I blew out my hearing in my left ear in The Games."

"But that was fixed."

"Until Snow's dog knocked it out of her ear the other day."

"Le— Let me get this right."

"Mm?"

"You've been without hearing in your left ear for two days?"

"I've been laying on a table in an uncomfortable position for the past two days is what I've been doing. So, hearing wasn't very important."

"She got to block out half of Mom's lecture. While I had to listen to the whole thing."

"Can you get the blood out of her left ear?"

"No."

"Unless you want it to start gushing blood everywhere and get on her dress."

Miss. Everdeen was pulled out of the room by Cinna.

"I'm not a kid anymore."

"You're 17. And until you're 18, you're still a kid."

"I haven't been a kid for nearly a year now. Don't give me that."

"Well, you got eight months left until you're 18. So, get used to it."

"This is ridiculous."

"Just think- You can work on writing your vows while we're waiting."

"I do not have a way with words like Peeta does. Why don't you tell him to convince him?"

"Because he's not the one who needs to convince him."

"Fine."

"Because he knows Peeta's feelings for you are real."

"You have no idea what my feelings are."

"Prove it."

They left.

I signed Katniss in at The Capitol hospital.

Katniss

I was sitting at a table.

I was writing my own vows.

"When I first met you, I had no idea that this is where we'd end up. I wish I could stand up here and promise you the world. But we both have felt the harsh reality of life and know how much it is beyond our control. From the reaping to the Games. From the endless nightmares to the endless nights of getting no sleep at all. To the endless conversations we have about everything and nothing when we can't sleep. I promise to continue to be open to spontaneous opportunities and experiences even if I haven't had time to "properly plan" for them.

I promise to continually work on being the best version of myself for you and our family. I promise to defend to anyone who ever questions your integrity and love you always."

"Katniss Everdeen?"

Katniss stood up.

She thrusted a piece of paper at my chest.

"Don't lose those."

"Got it."

I followed the Doctor back.

"You had planted a hearing device in her left ear after the Games last year."

"Oh, yeah."

"And some idiot Peacekeeper knocked it out of her ear."

"Oh."

"Yeah."

The Doctor threw a blanket over Katniss.

Probably as to not get blood on her dress.

Katniss groaned in pain as he knocked the dried blood out of her ear.

It was gushing blood.

The Doctor got the bleeding to stop.

He implanted a hearing device in the tip of Katniss's ear.

"That should work better."

"Thanks."

"Try not to pick anymore fights with Peacekeepers."

"Yeah."

The Doctor cleaned the blood up off the left side of her neck.

We left.

I handed her vows back to her.

"Now, those are from the heart."

"Secrets, which are none of anybody else's God damn business. Especially his. Since this whole mess is his fault."

"Actually, it's Senca's fault, not mine."

"No. This is all your fault. The way the Districts are acting is on you, not me."

Miss. Everdeen walked back into the room.

Cinna was amused by her as he followed her into the room.

"Look at baby Katniss."

"Where did you even get that?"

"Mom gave them to me."

"Now, you were adorable as a baby. And you're even more adorable now. Unlike me."

"It's your damn attitude that gets you in trouble."

Peeta

I slid my black tux on.

My brothers, Tony and Nathan and Gale slid their blue tuxes on.

I had wrote my own vows, tearing Effie's up.

"I vow to help you love life. To always hold you with tenderness and to have the patience that love demands. To speak when words are needed and to share the silence when they are not. To agree to disagree on red velvet cake and to live within the warmth of your heart and always call it home.

I vow to fiercely love you in all your forms, now and forever. I promise to never forget that this is a once in a lifetime love. And to always know in the deepest part of my soul that no matter what challenges might carry us apart, we will always find our way back to each other."

"Finished look for all the girls."

Delly Cartwright walked out in her light purple Bridesmaid dress.

Her hair was in a Fishtail Braid.

"Cute."

Madge Undersee walked out in her light purple Bridesmaid dress.

Primrose walked out in her long burgundy satin Maid of Honor dress.

Her hair was in a Ballerina Bun.

"She looks amazing."

"And save the best for last."

Miss. Everdeen walked out in her white Sweetheart Mermaid tulle lace backless Wedding dress with pearls on it.

Her hair was in a Rose Bun.

"Truly astounding. As always."

"And I hope for your Sister's sake, those vows are from your heart, Miss. Everdeen." I whispered in Miss. Everdeen's ear.

"Go line up with the guys."

"Who am I with again?"

"Delly, you're with Tony.

Madge, you're with Nathan.

Prim, you're with Gale."

"I thought Gale was giving you away."

"Change of plans at the last second since Peeta made him Best Man."

"So, nobody is walking you down the aisle?"

Haymitch walked in.

"He is."

"And try not to let her fall, Haymitch."

He gave me a look.

I walked out with Cinna.

"Can you believe Peeta tore up the vows I wrote for him?"

"I can, actually. Because he doesn't need your help, Effie. And neither does Katniss. So, take a seat."

We all sat down.

"Groom, Peeta Mellark!"

The Capitol people erupted with cheers and applause as Peeta walked down the aisle.

"Bridesmaid, Delly Cartwright escorted by Groomsman, Tony Mellark!"

Delly and Tony walked down the aisle together.

They stood on their respective sides of the altar.

"Bridesmaid, Madge Undersee escorted by Groomsman, Nathan Mellark!"

Madge and Nathan walked down the aisle together.

"Maid of Honor, Primrose Everdeen escorted by Best Man, Gale Hawthorne!"

Primrose and Gale started their walk down the aisle together.

The Capitol people "aw'ed" when they saw her.

Haymitch sighed, standing next to me.

"You ready?"

"Yeah." I answered softly.

"Just don't let me fall, Haymitch."

"Never." He assured me.

I looped my left arm with Haymitch's.

I had my three carat round pave diamond Engagement ring on my left ring finger.

All of us stood up as the Wedding March started.

Peacekeepers opened the back door.

Haymitch walked through the doorway with Miss. Everdeen.

Peeta smiled.

He walked her down the aisle.

Haymitch put Miss. Everdeen's hand in Peeta's.

He stood next to Cinna.

Primrose took her bouquet from her.

They stood up on the altar together.

They joined hands.

"Everyone, please be seated."

All of us sat down.

"Welcome to you all. I'm honored to be presiding over the Wedding of Peeta Mellark and Katniss Everdeen. Although I don't know them well, I know that this is a good match. How do I know that? Well..."

The Priest cleared his throat.

"Because of you, because of all of you."

He motioned to the pews of guests.

"Looking out at their friends and their family..."

Clara was smiling.

One of her friends was snoring as he was sleeping.

"And seeing the joy on all your faces,"

One of his friends smiled.

"Seeing how happy you are for them,"

Peeta's parents, Cleo and Dave smiled.

"Tells me everything I need to know."

Gale smiled.

"It tells me that these two people deserve to be together."

Nathan looked across the altar at Primrose.

"They deserve to be happy and fulfilled."

She looked down at the bouquets in her hands.

"And they deserve a long life together."

A Capitol man was asleep.

"And now to the standard housekeeping."

They smiled at each other.

"Does anyone have just cause why these two should not be married? Speak now or forever hold your peace."

"Because they're not in love." A District 1 woman said, standing up.

"Oh, just ignore her. She's just mad I killed Cato."

"Anybody else?"

Nobody moved.

"I understand Peeta and Katniss have written their own vows."

"Yes."

"Katniss."

I sat forward.

"When I first met you 10 years ago, I had no idea that this is where we'd end up. I wish I could stand up here and promise you the world. Miss. Everdeen's vows had brought everybody in The Capitol and the Districts to tears.

"Do you, Katniss Everdeen, take Peeta Mellark to be your lawfully wedded husband?"

"I do." Miss. Everdeen answered.

He slid a black Wedding band on her left ring finger in front of her Engagement ring.

"Do you, Peeta Mellark, take Katniss Everdeen to be your lawfully wedded Wife?"

"I do." Peeta answered.

She slid a black Wedding band on his left ring finger.

"Then by the power vested in me by The Capitol, I now pronounce you, Peeta and you, Katniss... Husband and Wife. You may kiss your Bride."

They kissed deeply and passionately.

He broke the kiss.

"It's my great honor to pronounce and present to you Mr. and Mrs. Peeta Mellark."

They walked up the aisle together.

"Maybe I was wrong. Maybe she does hide her feelings better than him."

"Mm-hmm."

Mrs. Mellark had grabbed a flute of Champagne.

"I am sorry for saying you don't love him."

"Completely understandable. Thank you for apologizing."

She walked off.

"Katniss."

"Finnick."

"I must say, moving speech you just gave."

"Every word of it was true."

"She pushes me away from her on our bed when I manage to piss her off."

All of the women gasped at Finnick's revelation.

"None of y'all are important to me. But y'all are very beautiful women."

Finnick whistled.

"Are you as tough as you portray yourself without a bow and arrows?"

Mrs. Mellark walked away.

"I'll take that as a "Yes."

"Finnick, stop bothering her." It was the Victor of the 70th Hunger Games, Annie Cresta.

"I love picking on new Mentors though."

"Pay no mind to that guy, guys. He's just a bitter person."

"You guys must get along great then."

"Katniss, bite your tongue for once."

"That Champagne is not gonna numb the pain you're feeling."

Mrs. Mellark downed it.

"Unlike you, not everybody drinks to avoid real life."

"She started the fight."

She walked away from them.

"Um... What happened to your back?" A District 10 woman questioned.

"My head Peacekeeper is an asshole. Who doesn't know the laws, apparently. It's only 40 lashes for poaching. And he hit me well over 70 times."

"But it didn't hurt, of course. I've suffered much worse. That being finding the love of my life injured in the Arena. On the brink of death."

"But you brought him back."

"Um... I realized it was your Mentor giving you away."

"My best friend was supposed to be giving me away. Until he was selected as Best Man."

"And your Dad..."

"He died in a mine explosion seven years ago."

"Oh, I'm so sorry for your loss."

Mrs. Mellark walked away.

"Are you just gonna let your Wife walk away?"

"Katniss was extremely stressed out with Wedding planning. The idea for The Games just added onto it. She's stressed out. But I know Katniss won't crack."

"The amount of stress she handles is a lot more than mine."

"Good luck on your first year as Mentors."

"Don't be so sure that your Careers will win with Katniss training them."

"There's a lot more Careers going in this year, boy. Suggest your Tributes to ally with them. For their safety."

"Go screw yourself." Katniss told Woof, joining Peeta.

All of us except the Wedding party walked in the Ballroom at the Mansion.

Effie had set it up.

Portia and Cinna agreed.

"Bridesmaid, Delly Cartwright and Groomsman, Tony Mellark!"

They walked into the Ballroom.
