Azzon blinked at the ovular ball of red and black that floated in the hangar. The Dragon Prince opened his mouth to speak, closed it, then opened it again once he found the words. "What- what am I looking at?" he asked, tilting his head as he moved around the large orb. M'gann giggled, floating over and gesturing to the immobile object. "It's my Martian Bioship." Robin, Superboy, Wally, and Kaldur followed the Martian as she floated towards the red blot. Azzon circled the object, wings pulled tight against his back with unease.

He'd never seen anything like it- it emitted a feeling that was identical to the Martian girl, and after her little 'speaking in his mind' trick, Azzon wasn't too keen on getting any closer to it than necessary. Then, a curious sensation prodded at his mental walls, making the dragon prince reel back with a grunt. "Tell it to not poke at my mind, please?" he asked hissing in warning at the red ovular thing, embers and lightning curling from the corners of his mouth. The probe immediately withdrew, sending a sense of apology to the dragon, But Azzon huffed and turned away from it, backing up a few meters.

"It's cute," Wally said. "Not aerodynamic, but cute."

M'gann giggled. "It's at rest, silly. Hold on, I'll wake it up." Holding out her hand, the girl sent her own mental prod to the ship, and instantly, it shifted into a sleek aerodynamic spaceship. Azzon hummed, nodding at the red ship. "Alright, I didn't see that one coming. The dragon turned towards the opening leading outside and paused when he noticed Superboy frowning at the ship.

"Wanna come with?"

The clone blinked out of his thoughts and glanced at the dragon boy. "You liked flying before, so I'm just throwing the invitation out there." Azzon shifted, his bulk filling the hangar as the others filed into the ship and settled a huge glittering emerald eye on Superboy. The clone paused before shaking his head no. Azzon smiled, teeth glinting in the lights before he heaves himself up on all fours. "Alright, whatever you think is best. Tell the Martian girl 'sorry' for me, yeah? To be honest, I feel bad for threatening her earlier…"

With that, Azzon turned and with two ground-shaking bounds, leapt out of the hangar and took to the air with a roar. Superboy watched the dragon leave before entering the Bioship, and inside everyone had already taken their seats. Soon after, they had taken off, and M'gann was guiding them smoothly around the Mountain and over the ocean.

Kaldur glanced out the window to see Azzon's shadow cast over the ship's leftmost wing before it dipped away and vanished behind a cloud. Turning back to the interior, the Atlantean noticed that Superboy was looking contemplative. "I can tell what you're thinking," Kaldur said quietly, leaning into the clone's space. "You and Azzon both overreacted, but you don't know how to apologize, correct?"

Superboy frowned and looked down before nodding.

Kaldur smiled reassuringly. "Just say that you're sorry," he advised. The clone looked back out the window, watching the clouds in contemplative silence.

Robin leaned over towards their driver apologetically. "He'll come around, don't worry." M'gann shrugged. "He doesn't seem to like me too much," she whispered back. "And you do realize he has super hearing, right?" Wally said. The trio went silent before Robin spoke up again.

"How about you show us some Martian Shapeshifting?"

Azzon flew lazily beside the ship as it continued its flight. Every now and then it would send out a tendril of thought, merely brushing upon his defenses to let him know where it was going, but never trying to breach or communicate fully with force. It was something that had the last dragon warming up to the strange machine, and he had even started to drift around it in playful circling rises and falls, catching a sense of delight from the vessel as he did.

Occasionally, Azzon would see his nestmates inside the ship- a glimpse of Kaldur here or a flash of Wally there.

Suddenly, the tendril of thought from the ship had him point his attention to Happy Harbor, and the dragon looked up only to narrow his eyes at the column of smoke that was rising from the cluster of buildings. Tilting his wings and adjusting the fins of his tail, Azzon switched into a shallow dive, leading the ship to a factory building.

Landing onto the pavement, the dragon folded his wings and shifted, crossing his arms as his gaze flitted about the surrounding area. The Bioship's doors opened, and the dragon turned, boarding the vehicle and entering the space inside. "Alright, why did we come here?" Azzon crossed his arms and leaned against the threshold, raising an eyebrow. Robin stood from his seat. "Red Tornado sent a message about a disturbance in the factory," he said, rubbing his hands together. "Seemed like fun, so we took a little detour to solve the mystery."

Azzon's fins twitched, showing his unease. "Yeah, well the air feels wrong now- there was a bit of a draft up high when I landed."

Wally scoffed. "Let me guess- you felt it with your 'magical dragon powers'?" Azzon sent the speedster an unimpressed stare. "No, I can sense the air currents on my fins, wings, and scales- it makes no sense to be a flight-worthy warrior if I can't sense what goes on around me in the air, does it?" Wally sputtered and Azzon kicked off the wall. "More than that, there's a taste of stormcell in the air now- it keeps shifting…" his green eyes narrowed, looking out at the now cloudy skies.

"Someone's messing with my domain."

"Well, let's go see what it is." M'gann said. "After all, a fire led you all to Superboy, so we should see what caused this alert." Azzon's ears twitched and his scales rippled, sending a small wave up the parts of his body that was covered in them. Superboy tensed, turning towards the doorway. "Too late," the clone grunted. " I think I know what caused it."

Racing towards them was a cyclone of wind howling like an enraged pack of wolves. Azzon's eyes widened as the airwave slammed into his back, tearing his wings open and flinging him into the open air outside with a guttural roar of surprise. Flipping in the air, the dragon struggled to control his trajectory, heart pounding as he was tossed like a ragdoll before finally regaining control. His hands flew to his daggers, but were met with empty space, making Azzon click his tongue in annoyance- he'd left them back at the cave.

His mother always said to never leave his home without a weapon, no matter if he could shift or not.

Azzon looked for the cyclone and spotted it winding it's way around the factory; he breathed a sigh of relief when he saw his nestmates were safe on the ground, the ship shielding them from the deadly winds. Swooping low, Azzon's talons clicked on the asphalt as he landed, crouched in a form reminiscent of his normal body. "That wasn't normal," he said, tail flicking with his raised heartbeat. "Are you alright?" Kaldur asked, Azzon nodding the concern away. "Yes, it only threw me around a little- Where's Robin?" the group jolted, looking around for their youngest member and not finding him. "By the Gods, that welp is gonna get it," Azzon growled, smoke trailing from his mouth in irritation as Robin's cackle trailed through the air.

"Not the time," Wally said, speeding off after his friend; Azzon rolled his eyes, spreading his wings again and flying after them with Superboy jumping along and keeping pace, M'gann flying behind and Kaldur racing after.

Azzon tucked his wings in and dove for a broken window, flaring and touching down just as Robin was thrown into a wall. "Who's your new friend, Whelp?" the dragon asked as he lit his fists on fire, tail curved around his shins. "Didn't catch his name," Robin grunted. "But he plays kinda' rough!" Azzon folded his wings in tight as the wind picked up, and emerging from the condensed air wall was a red armored man with blue tubes and a frayed brown scarf around his neck.

"My apologies," the man intoned. "You can call me Mister Twister."

Azzon dug his talons into the concrete and hissed as the wind picked up, tensing in preparation for a blow. Superboy ran ahead, but slowed the closer he got to Twister before the winds picked the clone up and tossed him away like a ragdoll. The dragon growled, blue fire and arcs of lightning curling from the corners of his mouth, and charged as well, digging in his talons with every step he took to stay anchored to the earth. When Azzon was close enough, he sucked in a breath and blew a crackling beam of lightningflame at Mister Twister's feet. the blue arcs crawled up the metal plating, burning the paint, and the fire turned the concrete red-hot. Other than the outside changes, however, there was no sound from the armored man.

A blast of wind nearly knocked Azzon off his feet, but his talons digging into the ground kept him from flying off. His teammates, however, weren't so lucky.

Over and over again, the others were knocked away as easily as if they were flies, smacked against each other or the walls, tossed around like stray leaves in the breeze. Amid Twister's taunting monologue and his friend's mounting frustrations, Azzon felt a roar bubble in his chest.

'That does it.'

As Twister finished tossing everyone inside the building around and sent Wally flying outside, Azzon shifted. His massive form took up the exit that Twister was about to use, and his green eyes glowed in the dimness of the factory. "How about you get 'turbed' with me, Tin Man?" Skyking snarled, fire dripping from his jowl. Lashing out with a paw, Azzon made to bat Twister away, but instead the man used a current of air to redirect the blow into the wall, creating another exit for himself. A second blast forced Skyking's wings open, and the dragon was sent head over rump into a metal pile on the far side of the factory, crashing into the pile with a pained yelp.

Twister gave a chuckle before floating outside, leaving the tossed-around teenagers in a daze. Shaking off the stars around their visions, the humiliated teenagers stood up and chased after the robot.

Azzon clenched his fists as he climbed out of the metal pile, his wings aching from being forced open by powerful winds. This wasn't going like he thought it would; the team was discordant, grating against each other like stones in a grinder. Rushing outside to assist, the dragon prince was met with the spectacle of a storm brewing, powerful winds and lightning swirling around the skies without restraint.

Black bangs covered green eyes in a shadow as Azzon stood. His clawed fingers curled into fists and the grass began to smolder in a circle around his feet. Overhead, the skies began to roil and the wind picked up. Kaldur shouted something up at the android and that just seemed to escalate the situation. Bolts of lightning began to spark and that snapped Azzon out of his anger for a moment.

"Uuh, can Red Tornado do that?" Wally asked in confusion.

A bolt of lightning came flying towards the team and made the ground explode, tossing them away like ragdolls. From the dust cloud Azzon and Superboy flew/lept up to engage and attack but were intercepted by more lightning. One caught the dragon prince in the right wing and he yelped in pain before being hurled back to earth while Superboy was caught in the chest. Despite the shock Azzon managed to roll over and catch the clone before impact.

Crashing into the ground, a sickening *SNAP* was heard from his right wing, and Azzon bit his tongue to keep from howling.

Superboy didn't know what had happened and he growled when Azzon's talons tightened on his arm in response to his trying to keep the agony from a broken wing down. "Let go!" he elbowed the smaller teen off him none too gently and shoved himself to his feet in an attempt to get back to the fight, but a bought of dizziness sent the Kryptonian clone to his knees.

Azzon remained lying on his good side, shaking, and gripping his shoulder as a pained sigh trembled from his lungs beside the rest of the downed team members. Megan regained her bearings first and looked up to see Mister Twister approaching. In a bid to protect them, she concentrated, and they vanished from the Android's sight.

Pausing for a moment and with Robin putting a hand over Wally's mouth, the Android turned and left, saying that if he saw them again there would be no mercy.

"What happened?" the speedster asked. M'gann looked over at the team and shrank back slightly when she was receiving slightly angry looks. "I-I put the Bioship between us." Superboy violently punched a rock, shattering it with two clean hits. "And that's supposed to make it right?! You made us think it was Red Tornado!" Azzon fought through the pain of his broken wing and turned his head before getting up and limping over to the group, a tad breathless at the effort. No one had noticed his injuries yet, too engrossed in blaming their newest member.

As they continued to fight and make excuses, Azzon's ire rose. Finally having enough, he sucked in a breath and let out a breath of blue lightningflame between all of them, making Kaldur and M'gann flinch back in shock. When they saw their injured teammate and said teammate was sure he had their attention, he spoke with grit fangs and glowing green eyes, blue fire curling from his lips.

"What in Hades name is wrong with all of you?"

To begin, Azzon glared at Superboy who met his green eyes with his own icy blues as he was about to shout his objections to being mind-linked. "Superboy, I know you have your issues with her after that load of chimera shit this morning, but that does not give you the right to place blame on her when you literally jump first and think second. Grow up and put your Armored breastplate on. We are all new heroes in this team."

The clone scowled and took a step towards the injured dragon. "She was in my head! she invaded my mind, the one thing I got back aside from gaining freedom-!" "And do you see me attacking her when she's trying to help?!" Azzon roared at them all, the tint of dragon in his bellow and making everyone wince slightly.

"She did the same to me, and yet I'm not acting like a four-year-old! She made a mistake, she's sorry, and she's trying to work with us!" furious green eyes flitted from one team member to another. "That's not the point though; she saved us, she gave us a hint on Twister's makeup, and you're telling her to "hit the showers" and that she made a "Rookie mistake.", not telling her what she could do to improve, or asking what other things could be possible with the stupid rust-bucket!' Azzon huffed out a plume of fire that was more dark blue than white this time. he gave a bitter chuckle and shook his head.

"You know, Twister's right. This isn't a team; it's a ticking time bomb waiting to go off." Everyone except for a frowning Superboy looked away in shame.

"Well what does that make you, then?" Azzon glared up at Wally who had shaken off his funk and stared at Azzon with his darker green eyes blazing with indignation. "You're acting like you know better when you're in the same boat as us- you've been on an island filled with warrior women your whole life and now you think you know how everything works?! Speedy was right about this being a Daycare, but maybe it's just to watch you. You're an unknown to everyone here, claiming to be a dragon- maybe Bats is just keeping an eye on you and waiting for you to slip up."

Azzon jolted as Robin slammed a hand on Wally's shoulder and yanked him back. "Dude! Not cool!" Kaldur frowned at the Speedster before turning to Azzon who had moved to shield M'gann with his one working wing while holding his right shoulder.

Wait…

"You're injured…"

That got the bickering to stop completely, and the dragon prince turned to shield his broken wing from view. "It's not important," he said through grit teeth. "What is, is getting the RT-Wannabe down to nothing but a handful of scrap iron and wires." The response was fainter, and the words cold. Superboy's glare had lessened and held some concern for the teen he'd elbowed of him after he had caught him- he had been hurt during that fall?

Shaking off the concern he scowled at the Martian hiding behind the dragon's spread wing.

"Just stay out of our way!" With that, Superboy raced off, followed by Wally, Robin, and Kaldur.

"I was-I was just trying to be part of the team," M'gann said sadly. Azzon sighed before settling down next to the disheartened Martian. "Like I said- we aren't a team yet… just a ticking time bomb waiting to blow up… it's weird though…" M'gann looked up into green eyes with her copper ones. "What is?" she asked. Azzon glanced in the direction Twister went before looking back at her. "He's immune just like RT. What would that mean…?" the two thought about it before the metaphorical light bulb flashed on over their heads.

"Of course!"

=›◊‹=

"There they are!" Azzon pointed at the struggling team members with his tail and she floated over them with the Bioship, Azzon floating beside it with his broken wing in a quick field-done splint. As M'gann informed everyone else of the plan, Azzon got into position near Robin. "Dude shouldn't you be sitting out?" Azzon grinned. "Nope- We got a plan, so there's no way I'm sitting out on it." he then smirked and lit his clawed hands on fire, getting into a fighting stance. "I'm ready to fight."

Then, nor even a moment later, M'gann to give them the signal.

'NOW!'

Megan shoved the robot back with a telepathic shove into a 'tornado' made by Wally. "Take him out, boys!" Wally's tornado struck the robot. '"Let's get this thing done! he said determinedly as he emerged from the twisting winds with a wild grin on his face, adjusting his goggles. The force of the gusts shoved the android into Superboy who punched him multiple times, making holes in his armor, before grabbing him by the right arm and ripping it off- consciously or unconsciously, no one knew- before throwing him towards the ocean where Azzon was waiting, wreathed in blue-violet-white flames and lightning arching from his skin and scales.

"All yours, Azzon!" the clone said as he chucked the metal man skywards. The half-dragon flared his flames and lightning before it traveled to his dominant right hand, the teen's lips curling to show gleaming white fangs and a feral grin. "Get ready to hurt, Tin-Man!" his draconic voice growled.

Blue fire and lightning wreathed Azzon's hand, forming a massive paw the size of his true form's paws. With a crunch, Twister was caught in the strike and thrown like a meteor into the ground of Happy Harbor.

Azzon shot off after him and spun in a pirouette, slamming his tail into Twister's head, making the metal dent and crack and sending him careening into the seas where Kaldur was waiting for him with an anchor and a charge of electricity with his name on it.

The android flew out of the water and landed face down in the dirt where he rose via Megan's telepathy. A pulse of telepathic energy made a chunk of armor fly off the android's right leg. Azzon came in from the right and used his tail to grip the robot and send him to the ground where the Boy Wonder was waiting for his turn. Robin landed three birdarangs on Twister's remaining arm and detonated them, blowing it off. They surrounded the armless robot, Azzon limping beside Miss Martian and grinning as their plan had executed without a hitch, when the chest of the robot opened and a man fell out.

"F-foul!" he whimpered. "I call foul!" Azzon rolled his eyes and turned to Megan. "You're the newer warrior here," the dragon said, flicking his tail. "All yours." the rest of the team were silent for a moment until Kaldur saw the Martian girl lift a boulder and bring it over the man. "M'GANN NO!" Without hesitation she let it drop, crushing the man.

It was silent for a moment before Robin snarled and placed a firm hand on Megan's shoulder, shoving her away. "Look I don't know how you do it on mars or Themiscyra, but here, we DON'T execute people!" Megan and Azzon shared a look before they smirked. "I thought you were going to trust me," She levitated the rock off the man, and the ones not in on the little tidbit braced for guts and bone on the ground, but instead saw only metal bits, sparking wires, and all the essentials for a robot.

"That's why I couldn't read his mind. He was a machine."

End song

The team was back in the mountain with Red Tornado doing a debrief. Azzon wasn't with them- he was in the infirmary with Black Canary getting his wing properly treated. Thanks to his genes, what would normally take months to heal would take merely weeks.

Currently, he was reading a book and resting when the doors opened to reveal Wally standing awkwardly in the doorway. "...Hey. How're you feeling'?" Azzon made a so-so motion before bookmarking his place and closing his hardbound. "Can't complain- I'm not allowe3d to fly for a good two or three weeks, but it could have been worse." Pulling up a chair, Wally rubbed the back of his neck nervously before pulling up a chair and sitting down. "Look, I just wanted to tell you that I'm sorry for what I said. It was uncalled for, and I know you're already struggling with your being this far from home… I didn't like what you said and I took the first thing I thought of that could hurt you and said it."

Azzon rumbled a growl, tail flicking as he sized up the speedster's words. "I won't lie," Azzon said. "You did target a sore spot in me, but I'd like to think that tensions were high, and in the end, you regret what you said."

Wally relaxed, but a sharp smak upside his head made him yelp and hold the offended spot.

"But make no mistake," Azzon said. "Just because I forgive you now, doesn't mean I will in the future, so puck your words wisely around a dragon."
