"Well, we finished the interrogations and went for debriefing. Agents set local law enforcement to dig up the bodies of the children. So far, they have found 486," I tell Miles and Leslie. We are sitting with Grant on our beds talking.

"That's crazy. You guys went through so much." Miles says.

"So, what about your targets?" Grant asks remember what I wanted to ask.

"Definitely. Not as interesting as yours. My woman's first-born son is another man's child. But she's telling her husband that he's his." Leslie says.

"Mine had a whole other family. Wife, kids, ect." Miles tells us.

"How does he afford that?" I ask curiously.

"His wives paid for it all." Miles says.

"That's insane," Grant says. "Do the wives know now?"

"Yeah, I might have accidentally left pictures." He says with a smile.

"Yeah, accidentally." I say sarcastically. We all laugh.

"I heard from a little bird that you two are excused from class for a little while." Leslie says.

"Yeah, I have to wrap up a lot of the paperwork for the case," I say. "I have been combing through paperwork for what feeling like forever."

"So, what's that like?" Leslie asks.

"Oh god. Do you remember when we had to take a class on filling out paperwork? It's worse then that." I groan.

"Didn't Barton give you more lessons after that?" Leslie asks.

"Yes, unfortunately." I say rolling my eyes trying to forget about it. "He likes paperwork done right and organized. That's life with him. He likes to spend as little time doing paperwork as he can."

"He really spent time teaching you how to fill out paperwork?" Grant asks.

"Yes, it's common for agents to have their own way of doing paperwork. SO's will sometimes want to teach their students the way they do their paperwork. They have to read all the paperwork you submit." Leslie explains.

"So, Garrett is going to read all my paperwork?" Grant asks.

"Not in this case. Nat and Clint will look it over, because Garrett is on a case where he is unreachable." I say. "They already looked at what was files already from what I know. They probably sent it back with corrections, so you know for next time."

"So, I have to resubmit? He asks.

"They would correct it and submit it for you. They aren't your SO. They are sending you the corrections they made so you are aware, but other then that it's not their job." I say.

"I feel like it's been forever since we've seen you." Leslie says.

"We?" I ask raising one eyebrow,

"Miles and I." She says.

"You two are a we now? When did this happen?" I ask.

"Um," she hesitates. "When we were watching our couple."

"Congrats!" I congratulate.

"Yeah, congratulations," Grant says.

"Shit! We're being summoned to the lecture hall." I say reading the notification on my phone.

We head down to the lecture hall. It's probably another mission. It has been two weeks since the last one. We go for missions generally once every two weeks. They say it gives us good practice for the field. Which I cannot disagree. It gives me a chance to practice different techniques without dying. We all sit together in the lecture hall.

"The mission today will be that we are handing you a file. You will be getting who you are. You will be attending a speed dating event. If you get three second date offers you have met your goal. Feel free to try for more though. Remember even if your married you will still need to flirt sometimes, to get close to a mark." The professor states. They hand out the files.

"Nancy Heidi," I read aloud. "Two first names.

"James Davis, shy college frat boy." Grant says reading aloud the first like of his file. We all flinch. Ouch!

"I'm Declan Jones, Computer programmer." Miles says.

"That's a good one for you," I say.

"Yeah, fits me quite well," he says.

"Amy French," Leslie reads. "College sorority popular girl, secret science nerd."

"That one sounds interesting." Grant says intrigued.

"I would date her," Miles admits chuckling. We all laugh.

"You got one second date" I tell her in between laughs.

"Sweet, I'm ahead already," she says making a fist pump.

"I don't think our class counts, even if we go on a 'date' with them." I say.

"That sucks, cause I would go on a second date with you." Grant says to me.

"You still owe me a first date." I reply.

"Burn!" Leslie exclaims.

He sticks his tongue out at her. She sticks hers out at him in return. Miles and I both just laugh.

"Ward and Thorne, I'd like to speak with you both," The professor says. We walk to a more private area. "Can you two handle this on top of your case?"

"Yeah, I know I can." I say Grant nods agreeing with me.

"Alright, try not to uncover another terrorist plot," the professor jokes.

"I'll try not to." I play along laughing.

We both head back to Miles and Leslie. We decide to practice in mine and Leslie's room. So, we head back to her and my dorm.

"So, who wants to start? How do we want to do this?" Leslie asks.

"We could read out loud about us then act out some speed dating scenarios." Miles suggests.

"That sounds like a good way to memorize, and it also allows us to think on the fly." Grant says.

Leslie and I nod agreeing with the boys. Grant is sitting on my bed with me. Leslie is sitting on her bed with Miles. This seems to be our go to positions. Grant has an arm thrown around my shoulders. We are both sitting against the wall.

"Nancy Heidi, a hard-working college student. No kids, supports herself. Bought her car brand new in high school. It was her first purchase, so it's got a special place in her heart.

She is in school to become a Veterinarian. She adores animals and has a beagle puppy names Damon after her favourite show Vampire Diaries.

She hates fifty shades of grey and Twilight, though. She loves Harry Potter and also has a python named Slytherin. She wants to work with wild animals in a zoo and rehabilitation center.

Her parents both work in business and are middle class. She works in a zoo with creatures like wolves and foxes. She just trains them. She hopes to work as a Vet there one day after she graduates.

Her preference in men is she likes them smart, and hard working. They have to eventually want marriage and kids, but not right now. She likes to travel in her summers. She loves history and researching it. She loves reading about mistakes made in history and dinosaurs.

She believes in aliens but not the degree of UFO watching and things like that. She just believes we aren't alone in the universe and that gives her comfort.

She has an older brother and sister. Her brother is in the military and her sister an accountant. Sister is dating a man. Brother is single. Her family does Sunday dinners. Her brother is the only one who misses Sunday sinners when he's deployed." I read aloud.

"Wow, that's detailed." Miles says.

"Yeah, I guess they have to cover a lot." I say.

"It is a dating mission, so they have to include a lot more details." Grant agrees.

"My turn," Leslie squeals excitedly. "Amy French is a popular sorority girl. She hides her grades from her sisters, so they don't see how smart she is. Daddy is rich. So, she spends her daddy's money to keep up with all the latest trends. She lives in a mansion with her sisters that daddy loaned to the school. Her chihuahua likes there with her as well.

She has no idea what she wants to do with herself. Maybe becomes a fashion blogger. She is very shallow. See's her parents once a month and daddy is on his fourth wife. She was raised by the staff. Her stepmother doesn't really know anything about her.

Her mother died when she was young, killed by a drunk driver. Her pride and joy is her puppy. She sometimes will say something science almost as if she blurts it out. She loves to party with her sisters and gossip with them.

She's looking for a fun guy, who isn't too serious. Who can also support her love of shopping."

"Holy you have to be Shallow." Miles says.

"Grant your turn." I tell him.

"Alright." He agrees with a sigh. "James Davis is a shy frat boy. He's in college for Mechanic's. He loves to build cars. He got into his fraternity because of his father. His father was in the fraternity when he went to school. His dad is proud of his son. He is doing what his father wants.

He wants to become an architect for building commercial buildings. His mom is a typical housewife. His father is a successful mechanic shop owner. His mom sends him care packages and dotes on him.

He is an only child. No pets, but he loves them. He is looking for a woman who sees a future with him, kids and will support him in following his dreams."

"Wow, that's sad. Taking a mechanics course even though he wants to be an architect." Leslie comments.

"My turn." Miles says. "Alright. Declan Jones is a computer programmer. He is outgoing. His parents are very supportive. He has an older brother who plays college football. They get along well. He is in college, but as a part time job programming video games, his dream job. His hobby is testing video games.

He loves animals and believes in the supernatural and aliens. His favourite show is Stargate. He enjoys throwing the football around with his brother every Saturday afternoon. He also enjoys going out for dinner with his friends and trying new foods.

He is looking for a girl who supports him, is okay with video games. His girl has to be adventurous. He also wants a girl who likes him family and his family likes her. He does not want kids."

"Wow, that sounds a bit like you," Leslie says.

"Yeah, it's a little scary," I add in.

"Yup. So, date time?" Leslie asks.

"Sure," I agree. The boys nod agreeing with us.

"Okay, I'll start, you all have to answer." Leslie says.

"Sounds like a good rule." Miles agrees.

"Alright, let's start easy. Favourite colour and why?" Leslie asks.

"Blue, because of the sky," Grant says not hesitating.

"Green, because I'm always happy when I see it in the spring and so is Damon." I say giving my actual answer and adding my character in it.

Nat always says to relate some of your characters back to you so you can better play them. It comes off as more genuine.

"Red, because of my dream car," Miles says. "It's a candy apple red."

"Mine, is pink. Isn't it obvious." Leslie says finishing the question.

"Favourite food or kind of food?" I ask.

"Sushi or lobster," Leslie says.

"Indian," Miles replies.

"Gyro's or Lasagna." Grant says.

"You're right those are good." I say to Grant. "Maybe I shouldn't have asked this question. Now, I'm hungry.

"Your answer?" Leslie asks.

"Same as Grant," I say.

"That's cheating," Miles argues.

"No, it's actually not. Nat always says to stay as close to the truth as you can. That's how you can get away with lying the easiest." I tell him.

"Really?" Leslie asks. "Why didn't Vic tell me?"

"Maybe you haven't hit that part, yet." I say unsure.

"Coulson kinda went over it." Miles says.

"Coulson is your SO?" Grant asks.

"Yeah, saw him when you guys were on a mission. He is super great. I got to hand out meals to all the kids when they got settled," he says.

"So, you got to meet them too? Was I the only one not involved in this case?" Leslie asks feeling left out.

"Coulson just asked if I'd like to meet the victims, to help see why we are doing what we do. It was very sobering seeing that there were actual faces to the people we save." Miles explains. I nod understanding. Nat did the same thing

"It's honestly good when you don't see the victims though. It makes it easier to get in and get out and get your job done." I admit.

"What's the hardest victim for you?" Leslie asks me.

"Definitely animals. They are always innocent. Right up there with kids," I say.
