Panic.

"Go find her," Jane ordered Travis and Dylan. "Check on the North Pole, since she's still a child you might be able to find her light on the globe." Though she doubted it, her cloak prevented that kind of tracking… still it was better than nothing.

If this was any other situation, Dylan and Travis might have cracked a joke, but in this instance, they just nodded once and without a word they slashed their scythes through the air and disappeared.

Jane looked at Amelia, in desperation.

"They'll find her," Amelia said.

"Maybe. We don't know how long she was gone." Jane said. "It could have been hours." Jane walked away,

"Where are you going?"

"To plead for another Scythe," Jane said practically growling. "I was so stupid, staying in that room, leaving the scythe on my person; Sarah's a thief and has been stealing since she was five years old, of course, she would have found a way to slip it off my hand. Especially as desperate as she was."

"Everything will be fine." Amelia tried to soothe.

Jane shook her head tears gathering in her eyes, in frustration. "You don't know that" Jane said. "She turned to Amelia, "Go warn the Jessups what's happened, tell them I've already sent a couple of Grims to find her."

Amelia opened her mouth possibly to argue.

"Go," Jane said. "They deserve to know what happened to their kid."

Amelia couldn't argue with that and nodded before she too opened a rift in the air before she stepped through, she turned back to Jane. "We'll find her, Jane, and you'll be able to give her that Christmas present you think I don't know about."

Despite the seriousness of the situation, Jane blushed. "I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about."

Amelia looked at Jane amused. "You're lucky she's being considered for the position of Grim Reaper after she dies. Jane." Amelia said before she went through the rift.

Usually, people weren't considered for the position of Grim Reaper until shortly before they died but given Sarah's good-hearted nature and propensity for breaking the rules (and her unorthodox closeness to a Grim Reaper already), and the bounty on her head the consideration was already being discussed by the council.

Not that any of that would matter if Krampus got his hands on her, they might have a shot of saving her soul if Krampus just simply ate her, but if he decided to drag her to Hell instead….

It didn't matter, Jane would save Sarah no matter what her predicament ended up being.

Jane took a deep breath, before walking to the council. In no way looking forward to the possible chewing out she might receive. But the faster she got this over with, the faster she could get back to what truly mattered.

Jack Frost was already there at the Jessup house, by the time Amelia made it through.

"Amelia," Jack said stepping forward. "Have you seen Jackie?"

Amelia's eyes widened, "She's gone?"

Jack cursed, "That's what I was afraid of. I should not have left her alone that night."

"Did you find our boy?" Jessica asked sitting at the table Nicholas' hand on her shoulder.

"No," Amelia said. "No, I Have far graver news."

She didn't have to say anything, Nicholas could already see the news on her face. "Our daughter ran away."

"She stole the scythe from Jane while she was asleep," Amelia said. "She would be hear telling you this herself if she didn't have to plead the council for a scythe."

Jessica buried her face in her hands. "You told her about Jonathan?"

"We thought it would be better she found out from us, rather than someone else."

Nicholas breathed in through his nose, "And now she's run off. How could Jane not better protect her scythe?"

"She thought she had." Amelia said, "She kept it on her person. She thought she'd wake if Sarah tried to take it, she hadn't realized how good of a thief your daughter was."

"Do you have any idea where she is?" Jessica asked with forced calm.

"Jane sent two reapers to look in on North's globe," Amelia said softly.

"So no," Jessica said coldly, she stood up. "Get out of my house." She hissed. "You kidnapped my daughter to supposedly keep her safe and now she's out in the world all but begging Krampus to find her. Get out"

"She also took Jane's invisibility cloak," Amelia said, as she stepped back towards the front door. "The Cloak masks our presence from other spirits." She said. She hadn't brought the cloak with her deciding that it would be too much of a hindrance constantly taking it on or off.

"That's something," Nicholas said emotionlessly. "Leave."

Amelia didn't argue more, instead, she just tilted her head and left the house.

"Wait." Amelia turned to see Jack hurrying after her. She stopped and stood and waited for Jack to approach her. He stooped barely a foot away from her and asked: "Jackie, have you seen her?"

Amelia shook her head. "Sorry, no."

Jack looked at Amelia, "Is it possible she and Sarah… went looking together?"

Amelia thought about it, on the one hand, Sarah did seem the type to want to do this on her own, on the other given that she had no idea what transpired when Krampus showed up at the North Pole, it was also likely she went to one of the few who wouldn't lock her away. "It's possible," Amelia said. "Given that she was fighting, I take it Jackie isn't the type to stay at home while everything is going to hell?"

Jack shook his head, "So they went looking for Krampus."

"That would be a reasonable assumption," Amelia said.

"So, we go back to Denisova."

"Assuming Krampus hasn't moved," Amelia said.

"You fought him before, where would Krampus hide?" Jack asked.

"I don't know," Amelia said. "I was a newbie grim at the time, but he preferred the dark…." She looked up at Jack. "And to be as close as possible to his next target."

Jack nodded, "So all we have to do is figure out who his next target is," Jack said.

Amelia looked up at Jack, "I need a list of every child Sarah cares for and having those names checked for naughty list matches might help us too."

Jack nodded already excited at the thought that maybe they had an idea where to find them. The wind picked him up as he levitated to fly away.

However, just as he was about to take off, two figures slowly approached them.
