Disclaimer: I don't own Rise of the Guardians

Krampus blinked and laughed. "Our kids?" Krampus laughed, "Hardly, you hold no claim to either of them."

Jane glared.

"Unless your relationship with Jackie is more than you thought it was."

Jane's eyes widened.

"She just cares about the kids," Jack said. He stepped forward and threw ice at Krampus. Since Jack had more control over his ice than Jackie it flew against any fearlings (Which thanks to Sarah and Jackie there were now far fewer. "Which is more than I can say for you."

"Oh, I've noticed." Krampus laughed, "She loves little Sarah, but I wonder why she first decided to help a young dark naughty girl like her."

"Jane is a nice person." Jack defended.

"Jack," Jane said Jack was so focused on Krampus that he hadn't realized that jane was sounding scared.

"Oh, is she?" Krampus said. Then he laughed. "Or is she still a selfish child, who used Sarah to get what she wanted."

Jack looked at Jane, then back at Krampus.

"What are you talking about it?"

"Come on." Krampus laughed, "Don't you think the similarities between you're sister and Jane are a little too on the nose?"

Jack stared at Krampus. "What?"

Jane didn't have time for this, she nodded to her fellow Grims. "Take him down." before anyone could say or do anything, half the Grims shot chains out of him, and any fearlings that stood in their way were instantly evaporated. But the fearlings that Krampus had already absorbed gave him strength and agility that he hadn't had four hundred years before. He disappeared into the shadows and reappeared behind them laughing maniacally.

"Guardians," North said brandishing his weapon.

"Reapers," Jane said readying her scythe.

"Attack." Both said together.

The army attacked, 100 to 1 but Krampus's strength had doubled – triple since he was younger, and the fearlings were often put into harm's way to block the path of the weapons aiming for Krampus' face.

Jack Frost and Jane were the only ones getting anywhere close to Krampus, but every time they did, he just disappeared.

Jackie stood and shared a glance with Sarah. Jackie took out her dagger it glowed brightly in her hand. She and Sarah shared a look before Jackie looked at her father. "DAD!" She shouted. Jack turned to her for a split second in that distraction Krampus tried to take advantage of his weakness, but Jane stepped in and blocked his attack.

Jackie didn't waste any time; she threw the dagger at Jack the moment Jack caught the iced dagger, it glowed brightly so brightly that every crevice every single moment of darkness was chased away. The fearlings that weren't already absorbed by Krampus evaporated in front of them.

And because the darkness was now infinitely less than it was, it meant Krampus could no longer melt into them, effectively trapping him.

Jack stared up at Krampus, Krampus moved to grab the dagger, but Jack was small and agile, he ducked under Krampus's outstretched hand, and shoved the moonbeam dagger right into Krampus's heart.

The fearlings flew out of Krampus's form, bounding straight for Sarah. The poor girl tried to move but fortunately, the light of the moonbeam had not diminished and the fearlings withered to dust.

As for Krampus… he faired the worst of all. With Pitch and Sarah, the moonbeam had chased away all the darkness, leaving only their light behind, but Krampus… Krampus had destroyed the light in his heart long before the fearlings had found him. Had he been stabbed with a diamond dagger, he likely would have just been returned to his former self.

But… but it was an ice dagger, made from Jack Frost's daughter. A dagger that had been created with the strongest feelings of protection, loyalty and friendship.

The dagger did what her dagger had done to Pitch 3 years before… it slowly turned him to ice.

And Just like Pitch, Krampus cried in fear, begging for someone to help him.

"You've eaten children and tried to make yourself even more powerful." Jane said stepping forward as the ice crept up Krampus's neck and down his torso, "You tried to hurt my protégé"

Jane hissed at Krampus, "Why would we help you?" She said to Krampus just as the ice reached his mouth now preventing him from speaking. Within seconds he was nothing but an ice statue.

Jane stepped up to the ice sculpture of Krampus, she stared at the creature impassively, "Amelia."

"Do it." Amelia hissed.

Jane smiled at Krampus's statue, "I can't tell you why the Grims didn't just kill you themselves, but I assure you, I have 0 qualms about it."

She raised her scythe and lifted it high above.

"Wait!" North said stepping forward, "You say you don't kill, is killing him really…"

"I am a reaper." Jane said, "And this monster had he not been stopped would have done what he did 400 years ago. Not only that but there are reports that he's already eaten at least 3 children before he came to Burgess." She said, "My job is: to make sure that souls pass on to the proper afterlives when they are meant to. This monster has done everything in his power to inhibit that." Jane shook her head, "He's done."

""He's no longer a threat."

"He's as much a threat as Pitch was, as he was 400 years ago. We cannot risk something freeing him again." Jane said. She looked at Amelia.

Amelia looked almost as murderous as Jane felt. "Do it."

Then before anyone could say or do anything, she swung her scythe, and the body shattered upon contact with the scythe.

Jane didn't give the ice crystals that were all that was left of Krampus a final glance. Instead, she bent down and held her hand out for the moonbeam that had once again been evicted from its home. "I'm sorry," Jane said. "But he needed to be taken care of."

The moonbeam flickered something she looked to Jack, and he translated. "They understand," Jack said.

Jane stepped forward and gave the small moonbeam to Jack, when it was carefully in his hands, she turned to Sarah and knelt down beside her. "Hello, sweetie."

Sarah coughed. "You got a new scythe." She whispered, she weekly held up the scythe, which was slowly melting into a hair clip. "Guess you don't need this anymore."

Jane smiled sadly. "Come on sweetie." She said, 'Give me your finger. It's time I healed you."

Sarah stared at her prinked finger before handing it to Jane the look on her face was melancholy, "I won't be able to go back, will I?"

"One day," Jane said with a smile. "When you are meant to."

Sarah smiled sadly and headed over her index finger, Jane placed the flat of the blade over the finger, and the guardians all waited and watched as a white bright light filled the cavern once again.
