Natsu woke up in the sky. He experienced a brief moment of panic before realizing he was being held by Happy, who seemed to be holding back tears. His body ached. Though, he's probably experienced worse before. Natsu, in his utter confusion and lack of control over his body, made a soft, almost whimpering sound. It was decidedly unmanly, but he really didn't care at this moment.

"He's awake!" Happy shrieked. "Gray, Gray! Natsu woke up!"

"Oh thank god." Mumbled Gray, scrubbing his face with his hands. Lily was flying and holding Gray, approximately two feet besides Happy and Natsu. "I told him not to fall asleep. Three seconds later he passed out. I mean, damn, I know I shoulda keep a closer watch on it all but…" Gray paused, seeing Natsu's face. "Natsu, are you feeling okay?"

"I'm… a little nauseous."

"Is it the flying?" Natsu tried his best to glare at Gray.

"Happy isn't transportation." Natsu grumbled. Gray rolled his eyes.

"Fine. Suffer, then."

Natsu tried to keep himself together, but his body was making it very hard. It didn't take long for the entire world to start spinning. He nearly begged Happy to slow down, but his stubborn pride stopped him. He didn't want to insinuate he was getting motion sick from Happy. Natsu didn't think he was motion sick, though. This felt worse. Likely not unrelated to the hole in his side.

Natsu relaxed all of his muscles, choosing to do his best to ignore all of his symptoms until they arrived home. He could feel Happy moving extremely fast but he knew there was still going to be a few more minutes. Since he didn't know how long they went before he woke up, it could be anywhere from 5-30 minutes. The time ticked by. Each second grated on him.

Minutes later, Lily surprised them all with a shout.

"I see Magnolia!" They all focused on the horizon. Truly, there it was. Stone and tall buildings, reaching for multiple miles. Natsu could weep in relief. He didn't think he could make it a whole 30 minutes.

"Let us fly as fast as possible, Happy!" Lily ordered, met with a determined nod from the exceed in question. The speed increase was tangible, and they were already flying fast. Homes zipped by in mere flashes. Gray thought he could see Lucy's apartment for a split second.

The two cats lowered in front of the guild doors. Lily dropped Gray first, then Happy dropped Natsu into Gray's arms. The exceeds immediately collapsed on the steps entering Fairy Tail the moment their job was done.

"Where's Wendy?" Gray yelled into the guild hall, ignoring everybody's questions and concerned looks.

"Hi, Gray! I'm over here. What do you need me– O-Oh. Bring him here." The nervous little girl lost almost all semblance of anxiety once she knew she had someone to help. Gray laid Natsu out on one of the tables. A crowd formed around them.

Wendy took a deep breath, then cast a magic circle over Natsu's side. Immediately, the wound began to close. Natsu's sigh of relief finally calmed Gray down. He had been on edge for hours, just wanting Natsu to turn out okay. If Natsu couldn't be his rival, then no one could be. He needed Natsu to be fixed.

Wendy couldn't heal Natsu's entire wound, not in one sitting. To her credit, her healing magic had vastly improved over her time in Fairy Tail, and the injury was quite large. She just couldn't do it all.

"I-I think that's all I can do as of now. The bleeding should have stopped, there are only a few abrasions left on the skin. It might be best to get him in the infirmary and bandage the rest of it up." Wendy informed the crowd.

"That's okay, Wendy. He'll be just fine. Thank you." Responded Gray. He bent down to pick up Natsu before being stopped by a hand on his chest.

"I'm fine. It's mostly healed. I can get to the infirmary myself." Natsu pushed himself up into a sitting position. He took slow, deliberate steps to the back of the guild. Gray sighed and sat down as the crowd dispersed. He was glad that Natsu was okay. That's all that really mattered.
