Toothless hid in the Hofferson's barn.

Hiccup walked down the ramp to the docks to see a strange ship docking.

Stoick walked down and stood waiting.

Hiccup ask "friends of yours?"

Hiccup sighs "Astrid told me that a man named Dagur the Derange attack your ship and killed everyone except Astrid."

A announcer yelled "PRESENTING DAGUR THE DERANGE! CHIEF OF BERSERKER TRIBE!"

Snotlout thinks of a plan.

Dagur step off and says "well, Stoick. Who is this little guy? I haven't seen him around. He seems new."

Hiccup introduces himself "Dagur, my name is Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the third. Son of Stoick and temporarily new heir."

Dagur gape "Hiccup? The lost heir?"

Hiccup answers "yes."

Stoick sighs "what did you need, Dagur?"

Dagur laughs "oh I came to renew our peace treaty."

Dagur turned to Hiccup and then Astrid and ask "when did you two get together?"

Dagur laughs "well, Hiccup since I Chief, I can issue a challenge for her hand in marriage."

Hiccup sighs "I haven't reach marriage department in Berk law book, but your challenge is kinda the same as dragons.

Stoick ask "you about my son?"

Astrid scowls "Hiccup?! You encounter Dagur before you met me?!"

Hiccup nervous answers "truthfully I never met Dagur."

Dagur laughs "no, we never met, but I heard of a boy who fights with a flaming sword dress in black armor called the Night Rider and rides a Night Fury."

Astrid leaves to go fume "don't get any ideas while you're here."

Dagur comments "wow, Hiccup. Maybe when you bed her, she'll cool her attitude."

Hiccup comments "I don't think that will go too well with her father."

Dagur laughs "then you better hurry up and marry her before someone ask her parents for a marriage contract."

Snotlout scowls "your such a useless heir. If someone challenge me for Astrid's hand in marriage, I would accept it!"

Dagur looks at Hiccup and ask "does he have any brains or did he stupidly challenge me to a fight?"

Hiccup answers "I think he just challenge you to a fight."

Dagur grins "your on."

Snotlout smirks "I'm going to show you how weak you are, useless cousin."

They head to the arena.

Stoick announced "villagers of Berk! Snotlout has challenge Dagur the Derange! BEGIN!"

Snotlout scowls "I'm going to beat you so bad, they'll make me permanent heir!"

He charge with his sword.

Dagur blocks easy.

Snotlout traded strikes with Dagur.

Dagur swinged his sword and disarmed Snotlout and pointed his sword at Snotlout's throat and laughs "you lose."

Snotlout grumbles "I surrender."

Dagur smirks "you need more practice."

Hiccup walked down to the arena and says "wow, Dagur. You fought for a half an hour."

Snotlout grumbles "why are you two talking like your buddies?"

Hiccup answers "oh, well when Astrid told me Dagur attacked with an army of ships and there are a army of ships off the coast and I'm just trying to avoid a war like a heir to protect everyone."

Snotlout scowls "your not going to replace me or I'll rage war!"

Hiccup sighs "I'm smarter than you."

Dagur ask "so, you want to try and fight me, Hiccup?"

Hiccup answers "maybe before you leave. Right now I think a girl needs me."

Snotlout mutters "little girl."

Hiccup leaves the arena to go find Astrid.

He finds her at her house eating lunch and says "hi, Astrid. Snotlout lost the fight against Dagur."

Astrid grumbles "he was more offensive and never could fight smart."

Hiccup sighs "what's wrong?"

Astrid answers "your being buddies with Dagur and he attack our ship and killed everyone."

Hiccup comments "I figured since Dagur brought his armada with him, I would treat him like a visiting Chief or risk everyone's lives with only two trained dragon riders."

Astrid ask "Snotlout lost the fight against Dagur?"

Hiccup answers "yes. If you were with him, you would be getting engaged to Dagur right now."

Astrid comments "then it's a good thing, I'm not courting him."

Hiccup made himself fish to eat for lunch.

Astrid comments "I heard what Dagur said about me."

At night, Hiccup was kissing Astrid on her bed.

Snotlout sneak upto Astrid's window and looked inside to see Hiccup kissing Astrid with his arms around her back.

He noticed their pajamas on the floor and leaves.

He smirks "tomorrow they're in for it."

Hiccup ask "so that's what they call a heated make out session between a couple?"

Astrid answers "yes."

Hiccup ask "what would your dad think about us taking off our pajamas to kiss?"
