( summery - Camilo from Encanto dose not get enough story line so this will be his story . Camilo feels useless and feels forgotten . They only cared about his gift more than Camilo as a person . So Camilo is on a quest in this tale to find out who he is and what's his real purpose . He goes through the mirrors but he finds out there's something wrong about it . Can his family save him before it's too late ).
( I'm making Camilo emotional in this story but also dramatic sense he's a theatre kid . Also there's some Shakespeare references in Camilo's own words. The reason for that is he's a theatre kid so part of the time he's a tiny bit dramatic but also going through lots of pain).
In a magical land we're one family In particular had magic powers was the Encanto family . This family had magical gifts that help out there town . They don't stop working and they were full of stress every day . One day however the house broke and they had no home . Luckily maribel understand there problem and she fixed it and the house returned . Sense than everyone was doing a lot better except for one .
Camilo madrigal . Camilo was a very miserable person . He was always happy on the outside but depressed on the inside . Everyone love what he looked like when shifts into someone else but they never once said they like Camilo . Camilo feels like he never gets appreciated ever . His room dose not help ether . He hates his room more than ever . Nightmares are always in the mind but Camilo's felt like they were real . The mirrors makes his fears feel real . Every day was just another nightmare for him . He's out of place in this society . When ever someone talks to Camilo he gets in trouble but when they talk to him when he changes it's a good time . Nobody ever notice's the mask that Camilo wears . One day camilo was sitting in his room alone and depressed.
Camilo - (sigh) society is such a cruel world now a days . It's always about expectations. Being the most perfect person in the world . Oh what a wretched world I live . For everyone to see the mask and not the man behind the mask living in sorrow .
Camilo laid on his bed looking at the wall .
Camilo - they want perfect standards . If there not happy they don't want you . At least that's what abuela would say . If you don't have a gift you can't help the community or if you do have a gift you can't be happy .
Camilo than went on stage holding a skull while making his on citation .
Camilo - to help the community or to be happy that is the question? We're one can't do what he wants to make others happy or be rejected by society just to be happy . Such a tragedy on both sides . Breaks the heart into too . No matter which way you look at .
Camilo - what would my purpose be and how can I make me and people around me all happy . I wish we all could be happy .
Camilo than took a glance at his mirror . He stared at it a little . Than he had a idea . Camilo knew he can't keep going down the road he was already on or things will escalate . So he planned one day to journey through the mirror to go for a little soul searching .Camilo was about to go through the mirror when suddenly he heard a knock at the door
Felix - Camilo you have a task to do . Go down to the town today and make some kids happy
Camilo - ok
Camilo went to one of his drawers and when he open his drawer there were masks of all kinds . He picked the one that puts a (fake) smile on his face . It will get him through the day . Camilo went on his way to get through the day .
That evening later Camilo got back home tired and hungry . He than went to the dinner table with everyone and had dinner . Than he went back to his Room . He wanted to make sure he won't get caught so he waited a couple of hours .
Camilo - finally no more distractions . I will finally have the answers I been looking for .
Camilo than suddenly took a breath and walk through the mirror . He closed his eyes while going in . Inside was very dark . Pitch black like being in a void or being in your own head . Everything was still dark . Camilo just kept on walking and walking until later He saw light on the other side . He open his eyes and he went towards the light . There he was on the other side of the mirror. What he saw than maid his eyes tear up a bit . He saw a beautiful sun set and he was on top of a mountain . Camilo has not seen anything this beautiful sense he was very little .
It got dark later on and Camilo needed some wear to sleep so he climbed down the mountain . When he got down completely he saw a forest so he went in and maid a little fire . He stay up to get himself warmed . He looked up and he saw stars in the night sky . It was very pretty .
Camilo - ( sniffle) there so beautiful . I would have never got to see this back at home .
Camilo - ( yawn ) I'm getting sleepy I better get some rest now .
Camilo maid his own little bed and very soon he had really good sleep . For once In his life he never had nightmares that came from his mirrors .
Mean while back at Encanto. Everyone begin to wake up . They were all exhausted from yesterdays work . Antonio woke up from his bed and went to go see his brother . When he got to his room he opened it and he went in . He didn't see his brother anywere and he begin to worry. He started crying .
No one heard Antonio's crying but one . Dolores went over to him .
Dolores - (yawn) Antonio what's wrong
Antonio - (sniffle) CAMILOS GONE !!!!
Dolores - WHAT !!!!
Dolores than open her other brothers room and saw he was gone . This scared Dolores . She could only do one thing . go get help .
Dolores - ok you go stay with maribel I'm going to go get are parents .
Dolores than ran very fast to her mom and dad while Antonio went to go see maribel . The day has started very terrible .
Camilo woke up and he was fresh as a bee . Never had he slept so well and felt so good . His first day in this strange world started out well . He got up and was getting hungry .
Camilo - alright time to go fish .
Camilo went to go make himself a fishing pole and went fishing . About a hour later he got himself some fish to have for breakfest .
Camilo - so this is what it's like to go fishing . I'm glad my father taught me how to fish . (Sigh) mother and father probably wouldn't let me go fishing ether because it be over the mountain that we're trapped in .
Camilo shakes his head to forget that memory . Camilo than decides to refocus on why he really wants to be here . He knows why he's here but he dose not know were to start .
- you lost stranger ?
Camilo turned around and saw a person looked at him . He didn't think anybody would live in this mirror world .
Camilo - no ...actually yes I am
- intriguing So why are you here ?
Camilo - well I'm lost within my self. I felt so useless nobody ever wanted Camilo . Who ever wants Camilo . I just wanted to feel special and feel needed . That what I do is helping to my family too . I want to know who is Camilo and why dose he do what he dose .

Camilo - yes how did you know ?
- believe me I dealt with that kind of stuff before . People see you but don't really see you if that makes any sense.
Camilo - it dose

Camilo - oh I would love that
Carlos - well great than follow me .
Camilo did as he was told they both went into the jungle . Carlos was going to help Camilo ( but deep down he had a more evil sinister motive for Camilo ).
Back at home the family were all in Camilo's room . All devastated that Camilo was gone . They all look around town for hours and hours with no success . They all miss him so much . They didn't know what to do without the person who makes them smile . Pepa and her family had it the most difficult . They lost a brother and there son . Dolores held Antonio in her arms trying to calm her down . Isabela and Luisa were sad . The parents didn't know what to do they all looked down in shame all realizing they didn't notice the struggle Camilo was facing . however as all hope was lost maribel had a idea .
Maribel - uncle Bruno
Bruno - yes
Maribel - do you - uhh - do you think -
Bruno - that I could give a vision I could but I'm very worried about the out come . I don't want to hurt the family more than I already did .
Pepa who was crying looked up at Bruno with determination in her eyes .
Pepa - please Bruno you are only hope to even know if Camilo is alive . If he's still alive that is .
Bruno looked around the room seeing pleading eyes from everyone even abuela wanted him to do it . Bruno eventually gave in .
Bruno - alright fine but I will need a big space .
Antonio - we can use my space you done it before .
Everyone went to Antonio's room to see the vision . As soon as Bruno was in the room he started right away . He showed a clear vision of what Camilo was up too . They saw what Camilo said about the town , he's lost identifying himself and self worth , and how to there surprise walked into a mirror . Than they saw him on the other side . They were relief he was safe but they saw a strange person on the other side talking to him .
Pepa - wait wait wait who is he ?
Bruno - don't know
Bruno - well actually in the vision his name is Carlos . He says his name in the vision .
Dolores - Carlos Carlos Carlos . Sorry don't ring a bell .
Maribel - wait didn't Camilo says he HATES his mirrors
Luisa - and if this guy lives behind Mirrors than maybe he -
Everyone - ( GASPS)
Isabela - we need to get him NOW !!!
Julieta - but how do we ?
Maribel - well Camilo walks through a mirror right maybe we can too . Can we abuela .
Abuela would normally say no because she didn't want curiosities to get them into trouble but this was a family emergency so she had no choice .
Abuela - alright everyone link arms
Everyone held one hand to another . They all walk in a straight line and walked into the mirror . They were inside the mirror . It was pitch black they couldn't see a thing. While walking they saw Camilo's memories being replayed by the mirrors .everyone saw and were mortified by how much pain Camilo was going through and all the struggles he was going through alone . Seeing these memories made them all rethink about what they knew about Camilo . They all started talking about there regrets for making fun of Camilo .
Pepa - I was a bad mother . I was always too stubborn with him never giving him a break . I made him feel unloved
Pepa started to tear up Dolores and Felix hugged there mother .
Felix - your not a bad mother you just made mistakes like we did . I regret leaving him out and ignoring him a lot all because he was a shape shifter .
Dolores - I regret making fun of him for being a girl because he wanted to be anybody but himself because he felt no love about himself . He always looked up to me so he changes into me all the time . I never knew he only got love by being other people .
As more regrets were being poured out of everyone . Everyone started to brake out into tears .
Isabela - I ( sniffle) regret that I (sniffle) was being way to mean to him . He was bothering me a lot but clearly he needed ( sniffle ) attention and wanted (sniffle) to have fun with us instead with (sniffle) the town .
Everyone was breaking down especially for pepa and abuela . They all promised they be more supportive and look out for Camilo when they see him again . After many hours of walking they finally found a light at the end . They all exist the mirror and found new land . Now that there out they all knew what they had to do .
Maribel - alright everyone were out of the mirrors but danger is still around . We need to save Camilo and stop Carlos pronto .
Camilo was still walking in the forest with Carlos . Carlos was going to help Camilo with his issues . They both been walking for who's until they found a lake .
Carlos - aww here we are
Camilo - we're all I see is a lake in front of us
Carlos - yes look at the lake
Camilo was confused but did as he was told .
Carlos - now look deep within yourself . Look at the lake and tell me what you see .
Camilo looked down at the lake but saw nothing .
Camilo - I see nothing
Carlos - look harder
Camilo looked closer and he saw a reflection of himself . Not anyone else or his family just simply himself . For the first time ever Camilo saw what Camilo is .Camilo's eyes began to widen and he felt major tears rolling down his skin. Camilo hasn't felt real happiness in a very long time and oh how much he missed this so much . He burst into tears and cried for a long time . Carlos was watching Camilo break down while thinking to himself .
( yes yes good Camilo . Break down and feel emotions . This is just the beginning of what I will do to you . For I have been haunting you with those mirrors haha)
Camilo's eyes were all red and his body was shaken . He struggle to get up but Carlos grabbed his hand and pulled him up . Carlos gave Camilo a warm hug to embrace .
Carlos - you see your not bad just because you make a mistake that's life . We're all imperfect.
Camilo - (sniffle) really ??
Carlos - of corse . Now why don't you stay here and you have your alone time while I go for a little walk ok ?
Camilo - (sniffle) ok
Carlos - ok I will be back in a little bit
Carlos than turned around and walked away . Miles away from Camilo . He was laughing to himself evilly . His plan was going perfect .
Carlos - hahahaha . Things are going so smoothly. Camilo is vulnerable i can use that to my advantage. Make him think that there's hope for him and than to break him down again hahahahaha.
Camilo who was still upset and a little bit shaken to finally see himself again was making him nervous a bit . He remembered the times when people didn't need Camilo . They needed Camilo to be anybody but Camilo . Leaving Camilo completely out of the picture .
Camilo - (sniffle) I guess I understand what it's like to be alone that maribel went through now (sniffle).
Camilo - no matter what I do why dose it always have to be me that is causing trouble . Having fun is what I'm supposed to do .I like to just be me Camilo but Camilo always gets into trouble . With his family , friends , folks in town , and himself . I wish the circumstances were different. I'm the problem there the solution . I can't be me I can never be me back at home . I have to constantly change all the time which takes a toll for my body but also I don't like being another person I want to be me.
Heavy tears filled Camilo's face . He felt no love . He wanted to be excepted for who he is and for his flaws but everyone gives him a hard time for his mistakes. Camilo felt rejection all the time and the worst thing he did was smile . Always smiling to people and never show how hurt he actually was . (Kinda like maribel did). Camilo cried his heart out . He felt his stomach twisted in a knot . He felt his face full of sweat . His body was hurting from all the changes he did but also all the emotional pain he Carry's with him . Camilo who fell to the ground was crying in agnoy.
Camilo - MAKE IT STOP !!!!
Camilo thought going through the mirrors would help him find himself at peace but now . Something about this place makes it remind him of his room . His room that manipulates and tormented him . Camilo couldn't stand this . He tried to get up but he couldn't . He was frozen in place full of fear .
The back ground changed. From being a calm peaceful island to a world of nightmares . What's worse was the mirrors were back to mess with Camilo .
Back with the family . They all saw the place change to something very dark and sinister looking . They could all only assume the worst that something really bad is going to happen to Camilo if they don't hurry . So they all picked up the pace running as fast as they can .
Maribel - hurry there's no telling what Carlos is going to do to Camilo .
Camilo was laying on the ground frozen with fear . He saw Carlos coming back to him . He was so happy to see .
Camilo - car- car -Carlos -so -so -glad to -see you again
Carlos helped Camilo get on his feet .
Carlos - what happened Camilo this place is a total nightmare now .
Camilo - do - do - don't know
Carlos - and look at you your a mess . Your shivering in fear .
Camilo - I - I - I know
Carlos - well I'm glad I'm back because now I can show and tell you that you ...
Carlos - ... maid a big mistake
Camilo -wha - wha - what ??
Without hesitation Carlos pushed Camilo down laughing at him evilly . Carlos knew all along that showing Camilo's face would break him . For so long Camilo was emotionally unstable when it comes too recognizing faces .like if it was a personal trauma he's facing not being recognizable.
Carlos - hahahahaha . Did you really think I would help you out Camilo . Haha your so gullible you know that ?
Camilo didn't respond back . He just looked with no expression on his face . He should have known that this was always his room . His room tricked him thinking he can find himself through a mirror . Just to break him down even more .
Camilo - why
Carlos - why well I will tell you why. You Camilo were so easy to pick on .you lie your way through life . Pretending to be happy when really your not . Haha you should have known I was part of your room ever sense you were born Camilo . I was the one that keeps you up at night . I was the one that haunts your dreams and shows you fears .I am ...a mirror
Camilo felt devastated when he heard that last statement. His mirror took a form of a person that Camilo didn't really like well in school and tormented him .
Camilo - but why . Why do all of this ?
Carlos - because I love to watch you break down and see you live in fear . I know your darkest secrets Camilo . Things you don't want to show or tell . And what would the family think if they knew . You cutting yourself and thinking about suicide . That be horrible for them to react . They be broken and hurt all because you wanting to be dead . If you did succeed it would have still been your fault . Everyone thought maribel killed the magic but that's not true . It was you Camilo it was always you . killing and ending the magic .
Camilo was raging with tears . He couldn't stopped crying .
Camilo - STOP IT STOP IT . iTS NOT TRUE ITS NOT TRUE !!!!!
Carlos - YES IT IS TRUE . YOUR THE ONE WHO HURTS THE FAMILY BY BEING SELFISH, BEING IMMATURE, AND BEING ANNOYING AS ALWAYS !!!
Camilo - NOOOOOOOOO !!!!!
Camilo felt powerless . More and more mirrors surrounded Camilo . He heard different voices from different people . Some were from towns folks but also from his family as well.

Camilo felt completely shattered . To many voices filled his head . He can't let them go . He put his hands over his ears and tried to close them out but the mirrors only got louder . Camilo was crying out loud calling for help .
Camilo - HELP SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME ANYBODY!!!!
Camilo - ( sniffle ) please
Carlos - hahahaha nobody will here you on the other side the mirror unless they came too the other side but really I doubt that who would want to save a pathetic and idiotic person like you .

Carlos turned around to see who it was and he got punched in the face and he was also pushed back very hard knocking him on the ground .
Camilo who locked up saw his cousin maribel .
Camilo - maribel ?
Maribel saw Camilo and with tears in her eyes she ran to him and gave him a hug .
Maribel - (sniffle) don't worry the rest of the family is on there way too . They will be here any moment . Can you get up ?
Camilo - n - n - nooo I'm - I -I - I'm paralyzed .
Camilo's body started to hurt again so he put his hands around his stomach protecting himself . Maribel held close Camilo . Protecting him from his enemy. Soon after the rest of the family found Camilo and they all cried running to him .
Pepa - Camilo I'm so so so so happy that your ok
Felix - we were worried about you so much
Dolores and all the kids gathered around camilo and hugged him tightly . The parents had to get the kids off of Camilo . They notice Camilo's expression he was afraid but what was he afraid of . They all grew worried for him .
Maribel - hey hey it's going to be ok . Tell us what did Carlos do to you .
Camilo - ho - ho - how did you - k - k -know about Carlos ?
Maribel - Bruno gave us a vision and we saw you talking to Carlos .
Bruno - it's true but what dose he want with you .
Camilo closed himself in holding onto his stomach while the family all surrounded him protective him from Carlos . Camilo could only cry and cry letting his feelings all out .
Camilo - ( sniffle) he wants to watch me suffer for fun. (Sniffle) thoughs mirrors in my room have been haunting me for years with no end . I don't know what to do anymore . I don't like mirrors . They always watch me ready to play a horrible memory . But they were right about about one thing . I was the one who always cause trouble no matter what I do . All I ever wanted was to be me but Camilo who ever he Camilo is can never be himself . He's always someone else . Camilo is a trouble maker always making someone mad at him . He only gets love by being someone else but never for him . I'm sorry for everything ...
Camilo - ... I'm the reason the miracle is dying .
Everyone was mortified of what they all just heard . They all burst into tears they never thought about Camilo's try feelings like this before .
Maribel - (sniffle) why do you feel this way . We do love you Camilo (sniffle) you just never tell us this (sniffle).
Camilo - I know but sense all I ever do is make everyone mad and nobody takes me seriously why bother .
Dolores grabbed her brother pulled him up . She gave him a big hugged and kissed him on the check . Dolores loved her brother with all her heart she never want anything bad to happen to him even if he can be a little annoying some times . Dolores didn't let go .
Dolores - ( sniffle) you can trust us you big dummy you know that (sniffle) ?
Camilo - some times it's really hard to tell
Pepa - really (sniffle) why's that ??
Camilo - because you guys never take me seriously. I mean I know I change into Dolores a lot and I change into other people a lot but there's more too it than that . Besides I'm a shapeshifter you guys would never understand .
Felix grabbed his sons hand and looked him in the eyes with a serious expression.
Felix - than help us understand.
Camilo - (sigh) I didn't like myself the only person I see myself as is a troublemaker a person who causes others pain . Camilo is very clumsy and immature but when I change into someone else like my big sister Dolores . I felt happy . People loved me people excepted me even though I wasn't me . Nobody ever wanted me except when they need me to use my gift . I felt a lot of things . You guys always made fun of me for changing into girls or anybody else . When really I was looking and wanting help . Nobody ever sees the mask I were in front of them .
The family cried hearing this story of Camilo's side . They never knew what Camilo was really going through .
Abuela - I'm sorry for you to go through this Camilo but why would you leave us and go somewhere so dark and cruel like the other side of this mirror of yours .
Camilo - I wanted to do some soul searching to see what my purpose was and ask serous questions like why am I here and what's my role in life .
Everyone was shocked that Camilo was not only having lots of struggles but a life crisis too .
Pepa - when we get back home . One your sleeping in a different room
All the kids were happy to here that and all got excited. they all fought over who got to sleep with Camilo . The parents stopped them .
Felix - now now Camilo gets to choose but you guys could have a sleep over
The kids - can we
Abuela - yes only because camilo needs the help
The kids - yeah !!!
Pepa - and number two is your seeing a therapist . You need to feel safe we can't risk anymore of you self harming you or possibly suicide I just can't take it .
Camilo smiled at that . He hated his room anyways he wanted to get out of it .
Camilo - thanks mama
Camilo gave a hug to his parents. When things started turning good for Camilo . Carlos woke up and he saw his family . The family all notice Carlos and they all circled around him protecting him .
Carlos - hahahahaha you think you won . Just because you have your family with you doesn't make a difference . I could end you all just as quickly .
Maribel - you will do no such thing and you will certainly not touch Camilo .
Everyone - agreed
Carlos - you kidding me this is my world you can't possibly win .
Maribel - maybe but we're here for one thing and one thing only and that's to protect Camilo from the likes of you .
Camilo who was afraid was turning from fear to anger in a second .
Camilo - no I will protect my family
Camilo got up and everyone watched him walk towards Carlos .Camilo punched Carlos in the face as hard as he could knocking him back down . Carlos got back up and they begin to fight each other . After hours of fighting Camilo did the finishing blow and knocked down Carlos . Carlos vanished into thin air after so many times of being attacked emotionally by mirrors it felt good to him that he can finally except himself . He turned around to his family gave a legit smile to them .
Camilo - come everyone let's go home
EPILOGUE
When they finally returned home Camilo no longer stays in his room . They turned his room into a normal stage in cause he wants to do plays . Each day he stays with a different person so he can get some family bounding time with them . Some family members he had issues like with Isabela were resolved and they both had a much better relationship .
Camilo was going to a therapist every once a week talking to someone . Though some times he mostly has Bruno as his therapists . Camilo was watch more closely especially his sister Dolores . Ever sense she thought of him killing him self . She stuck to him like glue never letting him out of her eye sight or hearing range . The family also made sure to keep a close watch for Camilo's emotional behaviors as well .
Abuela decided to give Camilo breaks from time to time making sure that Camilo can be himself . Camilo's life can be rough at times but knowing his big family has his back . He can face anything .
