Gotham
Helena sighed as she entered the living room at Wayne Manor. It felt good to be back at home. It had been a long day. She plopped down on her father's favorite seat at the window taking a moment or two to relax.
"You're in my chair."
Opening her eyes to see the devil herself, her father Bruce Wayne stood before her with a look dubbed as Batglare by her uncle Dick. Helena chuckled nervously before promptly getting out of the chair that was usually occupied by him. "Yeah, I guess so."
"Where the Devil have you been?" Bruce demanded, wondering where his only child were.
"I had some stuff to take care of." Helena explained her reasons.
Bruce scoffed as he took his rightful seat. "Enigma is overrated. Especially at 3:AM. You could've called. I made you soup but it's cold." He gestured to the bowl of soup that had long gone cold at the table.
She scratched the back of her head sheepishly. "Sorry, Dad. I Didn't mean to worry you."
Bruce sighed as he went to get his medication for his heart condition. "I was more worried about Gotham. If a Wayne is not around..."
Helena knew what he implied as she helped him take the medication. "I got that part covered. Always."
The man formerly known as Batman let out a rare smile, pleased that she hadn't forgotten her responsibility. To the city he sworn to protect. "Oracle called. Nothing alarming, she just wants your insight on a case she's working. Says you could meet her at the Clock Tower."
"So much for relaxation." Helena thought to herself as she went to face the clock. "Right. Better suit up."
"You should eat something first. Keep up your strength." Bruce advised.
"When I get back." Helena said, dismissing the fatherly advice as she pressed a button which allowed the clock to push to the side, revealing the secret entry to the Batcave.
"You're a stubborn piece of work, you know that?" Bruce commented. She glanced back at her father with a smirk.
"Just like you, old man."
