The sun began to set, and the night began to creep into Fiveton. The street lamps turned on, buildings began to light up, and LED signs shined as brightly as ever. A pizzeria turned its signage on, and large signs depicting a leprechaun eating a pizza lit up the exterior of the small building. Its name glowed brightly, "PATRICK'S PERFECTLY PRODUCED PAN PIZZA" The owner looked on proudly as his signs lit up, as the eatery had been on a roll that week. Business was booming, and more money had gone into the owner's pockets than ever. He was so proud in fact, he legally changed his name to "Marvellous Cain" (no, the misspelling was not done on purpose).
Marvellous Cain walked into his establishment and greeted his cashier, Earl Scruggs. He was in the process of helping out a young fellow in skeleton pajamas, who seemed to be having some trouble with his order. "Ah demand to see the manager! And the owner! And the janitor! Bring me ERR'ONE!" "P-Please be calm, sir! I can't assist you when you're screaming at me like that! Can you give me a little help here, Cain?" Marvellous Cain crossed his arms, "What's your name, sir?" "Muskedunder!" "Well, Muskedunder, what do you need help with?" "This stupid ol' bastard right 'ere tried to POISON ME! AH FOUND AN EVIL LOOKING PURPLE POTION ON MAH PIZZA!" Muskedunder pulled a box of pizza from out his pocket, and opened it up. The pizza was soaked in a purple-ish color. A few flies had flown towards the pizza, and immediately seized to live as soon as they caught a whiff of the thing.
Marvellous Cain smiled and said, "Oh, I deeply apologize for this inconvenience, sir! I'll go speak to my employees and see what we can do." He walked out of the room and headed to the kitchen, his smile immediately fading as soon he got out of Muskedunder's sight. He entered the kitchen, locked the doors up, and yelled, "Now- which one of you smooth brained BASTARDS left the poison on the exterior of the pizza!? I thought training made it VERY clear that the poison had to stay inside of the cheese, not on top! The entire thing was soaked- it looked like someone had spilled grape juice all over!" One of the cooks raised their hand. "Yes, Lehrer?" "You said it looked like grape juice...? The poison we use isn't purple... it's clear."
Marvellous Cain's eyes widened, "Wait- then what was that thing he showed me?" Lehrer shrugged. "Hmph... alright, I want you all to come and inspect the pizza!" Marvellous Cain left the kitchen, and his subordinates followed. They all went to the register, where Muskedunder continued to yell at the cashier. "Ah want ERR'ONE who works in this trash restaurant to c'mere NOW!" Marvellous Cain tapped Muskedunder's shoulder and smiled, "Sir... I have brought the entire kitchen crew with me. I hope we can resolve this peacefully. May you show us the contaminated pizza?" "Hmmmm... NAH! Ah want every staff member here raht NOW! Then Ah'll show it to ya!" Marvellous Cain sighed, "JANITOR! C'mere!" The janitor entered the area, and Muskedunder sneezed exactly 3 and a half times.
Meanwhile, Frank Fly stood outside the restaurant, his ear up pressed against the back door. As soon as he heard Muskedunder sneezing, he whispered to himself, "Now's the time to strike!" With all the force in his body, he kicked the backdoor open (it was unlocked) and ran into the establishment. He pulled out a map of the restaurant which had been scribbled onto a roll of toilet paper with colored pencils. "So I gotta turn left, then right, then head forwards... why the hell is a pizzeria this big!?" Three rooms were marked with an X on the map, the kitchen, an office, and an unlabeled room with an unknown purpose.
Frank decided to first head to the office, which he managed to get into by ramming the door with a log, which had been stored inside a conspicuously placed gift box. The office was filled to the brim with documents and files, which piled up and formed a sort of quick sand. Frank Fly spotted a safe in the corner of the room, "Aha! There you are!" He ran towards the safe, but suddenly began to sink into the massive oceans of document quick sand. The forces of the paper were pulling him to the bottom, and Frank began to try and swim to the safe. It was tough, but Frank eventually got relatively close to the safe. He brandished one of his knives and stabbed the safe, making sure to dig in as deeply as he could. Frank held on tightly to the knife, which was now stuck onto the safe.
It was at this moment he realized that he didn't even know what the safe's code was. "Wait- what's the code? Shouldn't they have told me this!? Crap-!" He began to mash the buttons and put in random numbers. Miraculously, he eventually managed to get the correct code, 1234. The safe opened up, and Frank took a stack of cash and a gold coin which layed inside. He shoved them into his back pocket, and jumped on top of the safe. He removed his knife from the safe and jumped to the other side of the room, where the door was. He just barely managed to reach the exit, and immediately ran away to the kitchen.
EARLIER THAT DAY
The day was still dark, for it was 5 in the morning, near the drinking fountain at the Laora Park. This time, no one came to knock anyone out with a baseball bat. Le Grand Kallé stood menacingly before Frank, Windy, and Muskedunder. Though Frank had met her the day before, it was Windy and Muskedunder's first time meeting with her. They all felt a strange aura surrounding her, though, it didn't seem to merely be in their minds. It was as if a real energy was radiating off of her. She had dark skin and curly hair, and on her head rested a massive, round, black bowler hat. She wore a fancy, three-piece black-colored pinstripe suit, and a dress shirt with cuffed sleeves. It was a stark contrast to Frank's plainly colored, overall boring red suit.
"I'll keep it simple." Grand Kallé said in a monotone voice, "Today in the evening, you will rob 'PATRICK'S PERFECTLY PRODUCED PAN PIZZA'. We'll supply you with a map we obtained of the restaurant. But you won't be able to keep it, so you'll have to copy it onto something else. Make sure to mark the office, kitchen, and unlabeled room on the map. Those are the rooms you'll be stealing from." Windy interrupted, "Wait, whaddya mean by an unlabeled room?" "There's a room we couldn't find any information on, but it likely holds something of incredible value, given how much they want to hide it. The only thing we know about it is that there's likely a key to it in the kitchen."
