Dipper was done giving the three young Pokémon their candy to reach their middle stage. And the three were super excited to show themselves off. They had gone and danced in front of Wendy, who recorded a bit and sent it to her friends, getting nothing but positive feedback, which caused the three now Kirlia to celebrate.
Dipper had surprised Stan, Soos, and Wendy with their own eggs, which he said he took extra care to try and control what they would be, but they could still be random. Don't want a bunch of copycats, do we?
Stan had been acting like he didn't care, but he has made sure to keep the egg in his sight, claiming that he was using the blanket he was using to keep it warm to keep it from rolling around. And even though he denied liking it, he still held it in his arms as he watched TV at night. Wendy reacted as chill as could be expected, excited to have her own pokemon, and curious as all hell to know what it will be. She could usually be found using her hat, upside down, as a bit of a cozy warm bowl for it.
Soos however, went full momma mode. He took extra care to make sure it was safe, covered and well looked after. He even went and talked to Abuelita about it, who showed her support in him raising the creature. Soos has been going the full nine yards in his quest to care for his egg. Though Dipper did stop him from trying to feed the egg, seeing as it couldn't eat yet.
Dipper had been going about showing Ryu some fighting styles in preparation to evolve again. Dipper had kept the candies from being used again, up until the young creatures had a chance to adjust to their new power levels. Ryu has been ecstatic to learn from Dipper after he saw him merely walk by Robbie and left the boy with a broken arm.
Dipper just couldn't get the little guy to calm down, which leads to their current position. They were both in the back yard, Dipper having gotten both of them a pair of tonfa to simulate the arms Ryu will have as Gallade. All was going well, Pacifica was there with Aika, both watching through the kitchen window.
Aika had been outfitted with shorter shirts to as allow the flaps he had to not be messed with, while she had begun to wear tights and ballerina shoes. Aika wound up sharing some of her clothing with Rosette, seeing as she thought that she was being given too many sets. Dipper had gone and gotten Ryu some proper martial arts combat uniforms. Ryu was ecstatic for them, and really enjoyed how it looked on him. Dipper had shown him some videos of actual martial artists, while Mabel showed him some Chuck Norris videos. Well, there were worse idols to have.
Rosette still wore Mabel's sweater she made her, but she did accept some pants from Aika. Apparently, seeing everyone else wearing pants, caused the three to also feel the need for pants. Dipper offhandedly commented that they didn't even need clothing due to their actual race, even as he bought the clothing for Ryu.
Ryu absolutely loved how the shirt of his uniform fanned out behind him in the breeze. Dipper didn't want to spoil it for him, but the reason it fanned out and flapped in the wind was because there were none small enough to fit properly. He already had to cut a good deal off the pants to make them fit properly. But Ryu also loved the fact that Dipper had gotten himself a combat gi to match his own.
Wendy showed up with the rest of her gang, each of them had decided to come see what all these guys were doing. Actually, Wendy was not going to lie, her friends wanted to beg Dipper to make them a Pokémon egg as well. Robbie flinched as he saw Dipper, being reminded exactly what happened, seeing as he still had his arm in a sling. Ryu got into a combat stance to greet the newcomers, even doing a little bow.
Ryu has been having so much fun with learning martial arts, and Dipper has been teaching him about how to show honor properly, and how to tell who deserves it. Ryu has been greeting everyone with a bow as they showed up ever since, the act had caused him to miss the blush it caused Aika. Pacifica finally managed to get an excuse to make her father allow her to binge watch all sorts of movies she couldn't before.
So, ever since she and the twins have been hanging out, she has told her father that she had to watch the movies and play the games she had, so she could gain the knowledge she needed to properly draw Dipper to her. What boy would enjoy her company if she couldn't keep up with a conversation involving movies that he enjoyed watching.
Dipper had proceeded to help her out with this, by trying to have a conversation with Preston about every single movie that Pacifica had wanted to watch, but had no time to due to her busy schedule that Preston forced onto her. The end results were Pacifica and Aika having constant movie nights to watch all the garbage films she could handle. Every single Romcom she had always wanted to watch, but Preston said were too silly and a waste of time, Preston now cancelled some of the useless lessons she didn't need simply so she could have some free time to just watch Disney movies with Aika.
Dipper had known exactly what she had wanted to watch, so Dipper instigated a conversation, trying to riff on the movie as if he were a critic with the man his last visit. Only for Preston to be unable to follow the conversation properly, even though Mabel was.
Preston wouldn't admit it, but he had lost against Mabel. A blow harsh enough that even he had to do research so he wouldn't lose again, while Pacifica was just willing to sit down and watch the movie with Aika, Priscilla would join on occasion. Dipper of course was just aware that Preston frowned over the commoner movies, and only owned them to say he had everything. He never wanted to watch them, and he made sure Pacifica was out here flaunting her superiority over others, or just going to mundane lessons that she didn't really want or need.
But if Preston wanted her to get Dipper's attention, she needed to be able to keep up with him in conversations, and apparently Dipper was a movie critic that watched every movie ever made. He also had vast knowledge over every videogame ever made, if he wanted to manipulate the man into letting her play the games she had. That is what the man gets for making his daughter seduce him.
And now, Dipper had his own problems. The teens each acted like they were being clever, dropping 'hints' as to what Pokémon he could make, seeing as he was making more. Obvious attempts to gaslight what Pokémon he could make for them. Dipper ignored them all however, calling for Ryu to continue his training. And while Dipper could Ignore what Robbie says, Ryu didn't. "Why call it Ryu anyways? It looks more like it should be trying to do ballet with the other two, rather than being anywhere in a fight."
Ryu looked between itself and the other two, thinking back to the movies that Dipper and Mabel showed him. He thought over how Chuck Norris looked, and even looked over at Dipper, who had his shirt opened like his namesake, showing off his well-defined physique. Ryu dropped his tonfa as he started to think on everything, and ran inside the shack, hoping nobody saw the tears.
Dipper had a twitch in his eye as he spoke. "Wendy, I am going to go have a talk with Ryu, punish Robbie severely while I am gone, or when I get back, I will." Dipper tossed the tonfa in his right hand towards the teens, it sped right by them kicking up some wind. Before it hit the totem pole.
As the teens turned to look, they noticed that the totem pole now sported a hole in the shape of the tonfa, while the tonfa was embedded in the rock behind it.
Robbie decided he was safer in the car.
Dipper was making his way up the stairs, giving a shout for Ryu to come to him. And as he reached their room, he looked over the beds, Mabel's actually being cleaned as she promised, all so Rosette was comfortable sleeping with her and Waddles. Waddles was being a bit lazy as he snoozed on it, but Ryu was nowhere in sight.
Dipper grew slightly nervous as he stepped over to his bed and looked under it. His lock trunk, the smallish trunk he had that he could actually lock, the trunk he had placed the EXP candy in, the trunk that he had placed the Dawn stone and the Mega Crystal he created. He had explained the dangers of preparing his body, but Dipper understood more than anybody what was going through Ryu's head.
Dipper still remembers how it felt the first couple summers here, how everyone made him feel like he would never be able to be considered manly. The only person to ever say he was manly was ironically Stan, having told him he was manly because of his decision with the multi-bear and the Manotaurs.
But until he got together with Pacifica, that was the one and only time he was ever called manly. And Ryu had it worse, not only was the boy small, but he was a Kirlia, one of the most feminine looking Pokémon ever. Dipper knew he could cheer Ryu up with some history about his origins, but he first had to find the boy before he tore open that trunk and did something foolish.
If Ryu ate more of the EXP candy, he could evolve into Gardevoir, and he would hate himself even more, However, if he tried to use the Dawn stone, it would fail simply because it needed to be applied differently. Ryu at most would have to learn to draw the energy out of the stone safely, using his psychic energy. The mega stone however, Dipper still had to create the counter stone that would allow him to activate it. The experiments with that stone was still in development, because he needed to have Gallade or Gardevoir to test it.
There was a sudden shake throughout the shack, causing Dipper to have a little more panic as he searched out for Ryu. Noticing the light through the bottom of the door that the stupid wax statues had been in. Dipper had dealt with them swiftly after their reveal, leaving just wax Stan. He had said that the other statues must have been so jealous of how Wax Stan looked, they must have left in shame. A couple hundred bucks convinced Stan to buy the excuse.
Dipper rushed in, breaking the door as he did. He found Ryu, but he was in mega Gallade form. Dipper looked over the trunk, noticing that Ryu had used an actual attack to break the lock mechanism. Dipper placed a finger on his head, using magic that he knew from previous lives to levitate him back to the attic, as he heard everyone rushing up the stairs.
Dipper had just placed Ryu in his bed as people started to enter. Led by Mabel and Pacifica, Rosette and Aika right next to them. Dipper was now feeling he should have warned Mabel and Pacifica about the evolution stones, seeing as they just figured Ryu had gone to cry, while Dipper had gone to comfort him. Dipper had explained the EXP candies and the Dawn stone to the three Kirlia, and even explained the Dawn stone to Mabel and Pacifica.
But the mega stone was a surprise for when Ryu had some experience as Gallade under his belt. Dipper snapped his fingers as his trunk appeared next to him, causing those there to jump a little. Turning to look through it a bit, he grabbed the scanner, and noticed that the size had been adjusted.
Dipper could now see what happened. Ryu ran into here, probably looked down at the trunk for a couple seconds, before grabbing it and if the marks on the floor that he noticed were anything to go by, used some powers that Dipper had just been teaching him to tap into, to shatter the lock, opening it and was about to grab the candy, seeing as the bag was spilled slightly. The dawn stone and mega stone were missing. So Ryu had decided to grab and do something with the dawn stone he created, and upon noticing the mega stone, possibly tried to use it like the dawn stone.
Neither properly gave off the radiation as they should have, so neither would evolve him. He must have heard him coming, so he grabbed the trunk and jumped down the window, which was right over the wax room. The window had been open since that morning when Mabel and Rosette complained about it getting hot. Ryu had been taking notice of Rosette and Aika lately, so Dipper was correct with this stage being puberty for them.
Dipper adjusted the scanner back to fit him, so he could scan the now 5'09" mega Gallade. The guy's feet dangled from the bed; he was going to need to get a new longer one. But he at least figured out what he did. Ryu had broken and ate the two stones, possibly breaking them in his anger over them not working. Dipper looked past his sister and Pacifica, ignoring Rosette and Aika clinging to Ryu, and gave Wendy and her friends a good hard look.
"If Robbie comes back here again, if I even hear him. I will kill him. So you better hope like hell you can train your egg to keep Robbie safe from me Wendy. Because I am not going to hold back when it comes to dealing with this bullshit any longer. That idiot doesn't know how to keep his trap shut. He tried to bully me, and when that failed, he bullied Ryu. Ryu was already a little down from how girly his form looked. I was able to cheer him up with the fact that he would look cool when he evolved again to his final form.
I was playing with the idea of further evolution though, the mega evolution. I had planned to show it to Ryu and train with it with him. It was supposed to be a temporary power boost when he needed it. I have no idea how this is going to affect him. Will he just stay in this mega form? Will it have negative side effects? Is this going to drain him of his energy every day in order to maintain, leaving him to go comatose randomly? If Ryu dies over this, I will hunt him down."
Wendy gulped over the threat, nodding as she spoke. "Okay, Dipper, you do what you can to help Ryu, and we will handle Robbie, and make sure he understands. I had just broken up with him because of some shit, and I guess he took it out on Ryu without thinking. The whole thing with the egg you gave me was a nice distraction, and it kept him from bugging me about taking him back. We just planned to come hang out with you guys, we had no idea Robbie would run his mouth."
Dipper looked between the others, them all looking a bit guilty as they looked between the boy and Ryu. Dipper nodded as he went and pulled out his machines to scan and check over Ryu, leaving the teens to head out. Pacifica and Mabel had to pull Aika and Rosette back as Dipper rolled his machine over.

Pacifica had called her parents, explained the situation to them, and of course Preston gave her permission to stay over, seeing as he would need his dearest friend to comfort him in this time of need. Pacifica didn't care how her dad phrased it, she just wanted to support her friend and felt Aika would refuse to leave Ryu's side.
Pacifica and Mabel were surprised over Ryu's new look. Dipper having explained that he was creating the mega stone as a power up after they fully evolved. There would be no stronger form after they reached Gallade and Gardevoir, but Ryu was showing that he wanted to grow stronger, and Dipper figured he could teach him how to have an ace up his sleeve.
Well, that cat was out of the bag. Dipper had checked the stones a second time, the shards in his stomach had been absorbed. Ryu wasn't ready to hold so much power yet, he was still young and inexperienced. And now he was curled up as if he was in pain as he slept on his bed.
Aika was still a bit of a nervous wreck as she watched over him, Rosette wasn't to the point of crying over him, but she hadn't been too far away either. Rosette and Mabel were in the weird ground in between worry and gushing over the romance between Ryu and Aika. Dipper and Pacifica at one point took a break as they watched Mabel and Rosette split a couple of tissue boxes. One was the romance box and the other was the worry box. Yes, they did indeed need two boxes each.
Dipper was done with worrying, having used some science to stabilize Ryu's energy levels. The guy wouldn't be able to go back to being just Gallade, but this did answer one of his questions. The game mechanic of mega evolution was just another evolution in the real world. So he would have to be careful if he ever made Salamance or Metagross.
If Ford behaved, he might make him a Metagross. If not, he was gonna get a Bidoof. Dipper took notice that Aika had fallen asleep, so he just set the girl up in Ryu's arms. Ryu wound up just holding Aika close, his shivering calming somewhat. Ryu would be fine thankfully, his form now permanent, he just had to adjust to his current power levels. You can't just expect to be able to power up to the extreme and not have a stomachache.
Dipper had honestly been scared, but just like when Mabel had given Pacifica the egg, he would admit to maybe overreacting. Sadly, unlike with Mabel, who he loves and is able to calm down quickly for, he hates Robbie. The boy was lucky that he controlled his temper enough to send them all on their way instead of blowing up Thompson's car with him inside. Dipper was honestly worried over Ryu's health, but after stabilizing the guy, he could give a calculative guess over his recovery time.
Ryu would be up in time to celebrate Summer-ween. Dipper left the two sleeping in his bed, as Mabel and Rosette fell asleep on their own. Dipper led Pacifica to the bedroom with the stupid carpet, and after setting the damn thing aside, pulled Pacifica into the bed so they could rest. Pacifica did take a bit to sleep, but as the events of the day got to her, she eventually relaxed into a blissful slumber. In the arms of who she was seeing more and more as her boyfriend.
Pacifica was going to regret giving in to Dipper in the morning, when Mabel woke them up with a camera flash and her and Rosette's giggles. Dipper was able to just shrug off the teasing as usual as he went to check on Ryu.
Happy that Mabel and Rosette limited how much giggling they did as they left the room, seeing as Ryu and Aika were both still resting peacefully, or as peacefully as Ryu can get. Dipper went about with checking Ryu's vitals, using machines that didn't need to disturb the poor boy, while also giving Aika a checkup, seeing as she was right there. Now he just needed to give Rosette a physical, and seeing as the girl is up and awake, she can get a full physical. Right after breakfast.
Dipper had to go full doctor mode a lot today, seeing as the eggs he gave the others hatched. Stan had shown them the little red dog that Dipper called Maschiff and Soos came running in to celebrate the birth of his own little guy, who Dipper had to explain was called Tadbulb. Dipper had to give Mabel a physical to show Rosette how harmless it was, so the little girl would calm down and let him do his task.
Mabel had tried to get Pacifica to get a physical, but Dipper drew the line at that. He was not going to embarrass her more than he already has that morning. So Dipper had Soos call Wendy so she could bring her Pokémon over for a physical as he went through the ones there. Wendy at some point in the day, showed up with a Scyther. That Dipper did indeed hope she would get. He had planned for this, so after giving the bug a physical, he went and grabbed a black stone from the attic.
Dipper had managed to sneak through the room without disturbing the two sleeping mons, though he did notice that one was awake, rubbing her small hands against the larger one's chest and arms before snuggling deeper into his hold. Dipper managed to stealth his way to his closet and out without interrupting the moment.
Dipper presented Wendy with a weird black stone, with just a message of it being a surprise. Telling her to allow Scyther to grow and strengthen a bit before allowing him to eat it. Dipper decided to make them more akin to the EXP candies, that he had made akin to rock candy. That was the fatal flaw he had made with Ryu, the stones were just that, stones. Ryu tried to eat rocks, that his genetic makeup was strong enough to break down, but it would have gone down easier if they were meant to be broken down.
So that was his new plan, the 'evolution items' were going to be made of rock candy. Ryu got lucky that all it was that he ate, were rocks that held the radiation he needed to evolve. His power was able to break down the materials good enough, but Dipper still had to help him stabilize the influx of power.
Dipper did cheat here, seeing as he expected Ryu to follow his plan and use the stones like he was supposed to, he was forced to tap into the universal algorithm to fix this issue. The thing about this was he was not supposed to cheat like that, but he had to fix this mess somehow and unless he wanted to allow Ryu to die and start anew, which would leave a bad taste in his mouth, he had to cheat. Similar to how he cheated for Mabel and Pacifica in their games, he now cheated to allow Ryu to keep his mega form, without him blowing up or his atomical structure falling apart.
Robbie forced him to break his rule. That boy better hope and pray to whatever being he worshipped, because Dipper was doing his best not to snap him from existence. That being a cheat was also a factor, but if that boy did one more stupid thing, he was going poof.
Dipper now had to explain that he had to craft a thunder stone for Tadbulb. Soos and Wendy finally broke down and asked how he knew the guy needed one, only for Dipper to just smile knowingly and walk away to get some ingredients.
Pacifica admitted that she wanted to ask how he got the idea for the mega evolution he mentioned. None of them understood Ryu's new form, just that Dipper wanted to help him reach a form beyond his final form. Dipper did explain that the mega form wasn't supposed to be permanent, and that the energy from the mega stone almost killed Ryu.
Dipper now had to make mega candies, special candies that the Pokémon could eat to mega evolve permanently, if he allowed them to. He could tell that Aika would want one, seeing it as a way to be close to Ryu, Rosette was a wild card on it, but she might end up asking for one. Tadbulb, Maschiff, and Scyther on the other hand, were unable to, unless Dipper led Wendy to evolving Scyther into Scizzor. However, he feels she would much prefer Kleavor.
He had noticed how Wendy reacted to getting Scyther. He could tell she loved the guy, of course she probably almost had a heart attack when she woke up cuddling with a giant bug with scythes for hands. But she did like him. He even noticed she had named him Paul, as in Paul Bunyan. Probably had a wild time introducing him to the rest of her family. Dan probably talked it up about using his scythes on the trees.
Scyther was happy to interact with the other Pokémon, but he was often caught staring nervously at the wood chopping stump. Possibly nervous over being able to do what he saw Dan doing during the morning he already experienced.
Dan had a morning routine he had to do, he got his boys to help, but he did a lot of the work himself. Using a single hand, and a single ax to chop down trees in single swings. Dipper could snap his fingers and do the entire months job in a single second, and he was intimidated by the man. Manly Dan earned his title as the manliest and was ten times smarter than the manotaurs. If that didn't earn you a level of caution, he doesn't know what will.
Dipper has always been cautious of receiving hits from him, even when he uses magic to bolster his defenses. Never let the man hit you directly, he made that mistake once. Quickest ending to a run ever. He was Bowser at the time, and after killing Preston, and launching Wendy into the woods, Dan had rushed him in anger after he called for a new challenger. Mabel had trouble handling things after he was dumb enough to think he could tank the hit. He let Dan punch him, and he was out cold, his shell imprinted into the ground, his army shut down due to receiving no orders from him, and Mabel had to rush and grab him, running away to keep him from getting hurt further.
Yeah, Dipper fully regrets that timeline.
However, when Paul eats that obsidian candy, he will become a Kleavor, and Dan will have some competition. Scizzor would probably be cool for Wendy, and she may enjoy having him, but Kleavor would truly shine in her family. Wendy may express her desire to experience more than just her lumberjane roots, but she did indeed love it. And after Dipper handed her the egg, she had high hopes to have a Pokémon that could help her with her lifestyle or could have been there when she got home and just be a fluffy friend to hug.
She kind of looked a bit jealous of Stan there, seeing as he just got a puppy. But Scyther, he had scythes that could cut, and has shown to be able to cause a good deal of damage with those things from what she had seen in the show. But that was also the same show that involved a Pikachu with inconsistent power levels. Unreliable at best, utter bullshit at worse. Paul would have a good life, but he was not going to enjoy his career if he went with evolving into Scizzor. Pincers just couldn't stand up to dual wielding a pair of obsidian colored magically sharpened axes.
Paul will be ecstatic when he evolves, and Wendy was in for one hell of a surprise. Until then, Wendy would do a great job of teaching Paul how to be cool, and how to use his scythes well. Soos had been so excited to introduce Tadbulb, he forgot about giving him a name.
"Well, he kinda looks like a lightbulb, maybe a glowing, or radiant name. One that really shines, you know? I got it. I will name you Larry, and you will be the best Larry there is." Soos looked so proud of the name he gave Tadbulb, who also looked pleased. Probably enjoying the ride with Soos, finding the guy as fun as everyone else has. Dipper also noticed another thing in his eye. Determination, Soos held Larry in his arms, and gave him love and affection, more so now that he was more than an egg and reacted to him. Soos saw the years that he himself lost with his father.
Soos had a full notebook of things he had always wanted to do, and while some things would be hard, seeing as Larry had no hands, Soos was determined to be a father to Larry. Dipper looked towards Stan, seeing as the guy did his best to deny the guy as an egg, Stan was quick to name him Bruno, and get the boy a nametag, and all those legal things, and even did it properly and legally as well.
Bruno by all accounts and purposes, was Stan's emotional support dog. Stan even spent all morning driving around with the guy in the passenger seat of his car after Dipper gave him a clean bill of health. Dipper just went and filled out the medical forms for Stan so the guy had proof of health for him. Stan just said he had a family member in the vet business. And he was technically correct once again, seeing as Dipper had to answer some calls for reference to prove he was a vet.
Dipper had to show proof this time, but he just deepened his voice with an app on his phone to sound older and gave the numbers and serial information of a licensed vet from Michigan. Stan had shed a tear of pride when he got home, not having expected the people to call and verify. It was pretty hard to tell who was truly stupid in this town these days.
So Dipper tracked the days, keeping an eye on Ryu, making sure everything was going smoothly for the now big guy, and even making another mega candy or two. And as he predicted, Ryu regained consciousness two days before Summer-ween, and was able to get something to properly eat.
Though Mabel and Rosette would later tease him and Aika over the girl being the first one he saw.

Before anyone questions it, I have no idea why I was beating down on Robbie this chapter.
Robbie is one of those guys that needs to learn to shut his mouth, I see him as being one to lash out in his anger, explaining why he bullies Dipper, only for him to fail with this Dipper, and taking an easy shot at Ryu.
Robbie didn't mean for his insult to result in the little guy doing the equivalent of shooting himself up with enhancers. But as I said in the story, Robbie was failing to impress Wendy, while Dipper already had. Dipper was just better than him at everything, and it just irked him.
And when he tries to get his anger out through his usual method of bullying, it backfires, and he gets a broken arm. So, similar to how people will turn and bully Mabel when he fights back, Robbie switched to an easier target.
Ryu was already low on self-esteem, seeing as most martial artists, and especially Chuck Norris, all have powerful physiques. Ryu was experiencing the same thing Dipper had during his first time through gravity Falls, but where Dipper met the Manotaurs and allowed them to teach him how to be 'manly', Ryu had an easy solution, evolve again.
Ryu knew that he could evolve further, but Dipper was training him so he could be ready to handle it. Ryu however, after Robbie bullied him, wanted to evolve sooner, and ran to complete his 'mission' when he knew Dipper was going to stop him.
Ryu didn't know what he was supposed to do with the two stones, so he broke them, and swallowed them like they were the EXP candies. Of course he didn't know what the mega stone was, but he also didn't know which stone was which, and in a panic, ate them both.
So yeah, I plan on making the mega forms permanent, because I find them cool, if anymore characters really deserve them at least.
