Florian wanted to just disappear.
Why did he have to just break down and cry when he was confronted by the Houndour that had stopped in grade 6? Why was he still crying on the floor like a baby?
"Hey, do need a hand" Ash offered a handout pulling Florian off the ground.
Florian immediately started walking away he didn't want to look at Nemona or Juliana they already thought that he must have been the biggest loser in all of Paldea.
"Wait, hold on a second" Ash beckoned him back.
"Wared did you guys find this Pokémon" Ash pointed to Don who was still collapsed on the ground.
"Ya, it seemed like you guys were battling in perfect harmony," Nemona said excitedly.
"Oh, we weren't telling him what to do he just kind of did that on his own" Juliana explained.
"What you didn't tell him what to do that's amazing I wish I was able to do that!" Nemona shouted eyes practically glowing. " If one of you does become its trainer you have to battle me with it"
"It seems like a pretty unique Pokémon I've never seen anything like it before" Ash exclaimed Pikachu walk over to examine Don who opened his eyes to greet the Mouse Pokémon.
"Ya, it kind of looks like a Cyclizar but bigger and red" Nemona added.
"Let me use my Pokedex" Ash held out his phone letting it scan Don for a dex entry.
"The ecology and other data about this Pokémon are unknown. It was named Koraidon by the professor who discovered it. It has similar characteristics to a creature described in an old book as the Winged King"
"Koraidon so that's your real name" Juliana exclaimed "I knew that Don was a good name for you"
"Professor!" Ash exclaimed, "Do you guys have a professor?"
"Oh, Ya her name is professor Sada she invented the tera orbs that we use to Terastallize" Nemona explained.
"Can we see her if there's anyone who would know about Don it would be her"
"Oh, Ya her lab is just at that lighthouse over there" Nemona pointed to the lighthouse standing at the edge of a cliff overlooking the sea.
At the mention of the lighthouse, Don seemed to perk up standing on all fours he took off sprinting towards it"
"Wait Don! get back here!" Juliana yelled running after him the rest of the group following.
Don stopped at the lighthouse entrance where a boy was standing looking into the window.
"Why that little!" The boy snapped before running over to Don.
"What are you doing out here?"
"Wait you know about Koraidon?" Ash asked.
"I wasn't talking to you four you can all shove off"
"Rude" Florian muttered under his breath who was this guy to go and insult them after returning his Pokémon?
"Wait, I know you Aren't you Arven you're in my humanities class, right?" Nemona exclaimed.
"And you're the son of professor Sada right?" Arven seemed to get very offended by Nemona mentioning that his mom was the professor.
"Doesn't matter who my mom is!" Arven snapped back.
"More importantly why is Koraidon out here and what's with the form it's in"
"He saved me and Florian from a pack of Dog Pokémon when in the cave down the path" Juliana explained "We heard a weird cry, and we went to investigate but we fell off the cliff we found him on the shore Florian gave him a sandwich and seemed to perk him up a bit"
"After he rescued them, he seemed to be warned out he got all slumpy but before that, he was like mega strong like kicking back dozens of Pokémon on his own strong" Nemona added excitedly.
"Well Ya that makes sense, but Koraidon can't battle when he's in this form the stance he takes when he's on two legs is his true form"
"How do you know all this about Koraidon?" Nemona asked a suspicious glare in her eyes.
"I know your Nemona your head of the student council and I don't know who you two are but judging on the uniform you both go to Naranja academy if you three think that you can handle Koraidon better than me then why don't you prove it to me with a battle!" Arven exclaimed.
"I think that's a great idea 3 vs 3" Ash chimed in "Koraidon Pikachu what do you think?" "Agigas!" "Chuuu!" Don and Pikachu both gave nods of approval.
"All right I'll go first" Nemona volunteered which Florian was thankful for he didn't want to go first and set the bar too low.
"Vamos Sprigatito!" Nemona announced sending out the Grass Cat Pokémon.
"Go Toedscool!" Arven announced.
"Who's that Pokémon?" Ash pulled out his Pokedex from the sidelines.
"Toedscool the Woodear Pokémon Though it looks like Tentacool, Toedscool is a completely different species. Its legs may be thin, but it can run at a speed of 30 mph"
"Wow so it's like a Tentacool but completely different" Ash exclaimed clearly, he hadn't seen a Toedscool before.
"Go Sprigatito Tail Whip!" Sprigatito leaped into the air landing in front of Toedscool lightly dusting the mushroom with her tail.
"Toedscool use Wrap!" Toedscool grabbed Sprigatito with its two legs although she didn't seem to mind all that much.
"Sprigatito use Bite on Toedscool's legs!" "Meow!" Sprigatito bit down on Toedscool's leg doing extra damage from the Tail Whip attack Toedscool made a squirmy noise of pain releasing her from his grip.
"Toedscool use Mud Slap" Toedscool launched a blob of mud with his leg that Sprigatito leaped into the air to dodge.
"Ahora Sprigatito Bullet Seed" "Sprig-A-Tito!" Sprigatito launched a flurry of small seeds from her mouth hitting Toedscool right in the forehead.
"Toewwwed" Toedscool sat on the ground knocked out like an old plastic bag.
"Toedscool is unable to battle Sprigatito and Nemona is the winner" Ash announced.
"Go Skwovet!" Arven shouted sending out the Galar Regional Rodent.
"So, who wants to go next"
"Me I'll go" Florian practically shouted he didn't want to go first but he also didn't want to go last and risk looking like well, more of a Loser in front of Juliana and Nemona.
"Conseguirlos Fuecoco!" Florian shouted before sending Miguel out of his Pokeball.
"Really Florian get them? that's what you came up with before sending out your Pokémon" Florian kicked himself internally for using such a lame catchphrase.
"Skwovet use Tackle!" Skwovet charged forward slamming into Fuecoco with Tackle Miguel stumbled around from the hit but didn't fall over.
"Fuecoco use Tackle!" Miguel swung around on and hit Skwovet with a Tackle to the face.
"Skwovet use Bite" Skwovet charged forward and bit Fuecoco down on the snout, but Fuecoco just stood blankly staring at the Squirrel.
"Fuecoco counter with Ember!" Miguel puffed out his chest and lunched an Ember at Skwovet sending her tumbling back.
"Skwovet use tackle again!" "Fuecoco get ready to absorb the hit Skwovet slammed into Miguel but once again Fuecoco didn't fall over and stumbled and spun around.
"Now use Ember!" Well, he was spinning Miguel launched an Ember hitting Skwovet in the stomach and knocking her out.
"Skwovet is unable to battle Fuecoco and Florian is the winner" Miguel started jumping up and down and started babbling as if he was singing in victory.
"I can defiantly use the spinning when wherein contest battles," Florian thought as he returned to Fuecoco to his Pokeball and let Juliana take his place.
"Go Shellder!" Arven shouted sending out the Bivalve Pokémon.
"Quaxly Vamos!" Juliana sent out Tulio who stroked his hair as soon as he entered the battlefield.
"Shellder use Water Gun!" "Quaxly dodge it!" Shellder launched a Water gun from its mouth Tulio easily twirled around the attack like a ballerina.
"Use Water Gun again!" "Keep dodging Quaxly!" Shellder kept launching Water Guns that Tulio kept twirling and side-stepping away from Shellder was starting to tire tongue stuck out panting.
"Quaxly use Pound!" Quaxly ran forward striking Sheller with his wing sending the Shellder tumbling back.
"Shellder use Tackle!" Shellder charged forward getting ready to tackle Quaxly.
"Quaxly use Water Gun" Tulio let out a stream of water hitting Shellder who stopped dead in his tracks and fainted.
"Shellder is unable to battle Quaxly and Juliana is the winner"
"Alright, you then you've proven that you can look after I guess it should have expected that with Pokémon I just caught" Arven sighed.
"But you're going to need one more thing the Pokeball that brutes been kept in" Arven pulled a Pokeball marked with a bright red K-1 out of his bag.
"You can take it Juliana I don't mind" Florian didn't want to have the responsibility of looking after such a unique Pokémon like Don especially if he liked to run away from his owner like that.
"Oh, thanks, Florian we can take turns with it" Arven returned Don to his Pokeball then handed it over to Juliana.
"So, Arven how do you know such a unique Pokémon anyway?" Nemona asked suspicious of the long-haired boy, but Arven was already running down the Poco path toward town.
"Oye regresa aquí!" Nemona shouted.
"He's your problem now not mine I'm just happy that I found someone else to dump the poor thing onto" Arven shouted as he ran down the path.
"Fine then but you better show up for class tomorrow I know you missed quite a few school days last year!"
"That Arven guy defiantly knows more than he's letting on. When I battle him, I'm gonna have to wring him out for answers" Nemona made a ringing motion with her hands seemly determined to battle Arven the next time she saw him.
"Speaking of battling you guys all did amazing in that battle" Ash added Florian was surprised that his battling skills were being complimented by the World Champion.
"Oh, thank you ash you have no idea how much that means to me I hope one day that all be able to battle you" Nemona exclaimed.
"Oh, Ya maybe one day just not right now I promised Goh that I would meet him out in the open area to help him catch Pokémon"
"I got to get going now but if you need any help with Koraidon then you can always ask me all be around the school" Ash explained as he headed down the pathway with Pikachu at his side.
"Speaking of battles would either of you be interested in battling me?" Nemona asked.
"Oh, that's really kind of you Nemona but I'm actually interested in becoming a Pokémon coordinator"
"I would I'd love to battle you," Juliana said.
"Well, then how about I get your guy's numbers if we want to get in touch" Nemona, Juliana, and Florian got out their phones and all exchanged numbers with each other. Florian couldn't believe that he had managed to technically get two girls' numbers even if he had completely embarrassed himself in front of them having friends on day 1 was much faster than he thought it would be.
"Spidddd!" the wild Spidop's front arms became surrounded in purple energy as he charged up a Throat Chop lunging forward at Cinderace.
"Dodge it Cinderace!" Goh commanded Cinderace easily leaped into the air dodging the slow-moving spider.
"Cinderace Pyro Ball!"
"Ace!" Cinderace did a mid-air flip igniting a small rock into a fiery ball and roundhouse kicking it at Spidops instantly fainting it.
"Netball go!" Goh shouted throwing the blue and white Pokeball at the fainted Spidops the ball shook three times before signaling that Spidops had been caught.
"Spidops the Trap Pokémon and the evolved form of Tarountula Spidops covers its territory in tough, sticky threads to set up traps for intruders. It takes out its prey before the prey even notices it"
Since Goh had arrived in Paldea he had gone on a catching spree he had caught all of the Tarountula line the Nymble line the Rellor line the Tandemaus line all four colors of Squawkabilly, Klawf, and Flamigo and he knew he was just getting started.
But there he was still missing the one Pokémon he wanted to find an Electric Type he decided to walk down to the beach to clear his mind.
Why was he so determined to find a new Electric type? he should be at Professor Cerise's new Paldea lab to make sure his Pokémon were adjusting well not that he doubted Inteleon's ability to keep everyone in line, but he felt like he was a bad owner leaving them to face such a big move all on their own.
As Goh and Cinderace made it to the shore Cinderace's ears perked up.
"Ace! ace!" Cinderace pointed with his foot to the rocks where a black and yellow bird was pecking at the rocks Goh pulled out his Pokedex to look up the Pokémon.
"Wattrel the Storm Petrel Pokémon these Pokémon make their nests on coastal cliffs. When its wings catch the wind, the bones within produce electricity"
He looked at the type Electric/Flying he almost fainted in relief it was just what he was looking for.
"Pokeball go!" Goh threw the Pokeball expecting to catch it instantly but to his shock, the bird saw the ball coming and zipped into the air dodging it.
"Wattrel!" the little bird swooped down body crackling in a Spark attack hitting Cinderace in the head although it didn't seem to do much damage.
Cinderace Pyro Ball!" Cinderace kicked a Pyro ball up at the Wattrel but she was able to dodge it again diving down for another Spark.
"Cinderace use Blaze Kick!" Cinderace's leg lit up in flames kicking the Wattrel before she could dodge it sending the bird tumbling onto the sand. Go through another Pokeball easily catching the now exhausted Wattrel.
And not a moment too soon as he saw Ash's red hat appear at the top of the cliff as Ash and Pikachu came sliding down the cliff.
"Hey, Goh, how's it going sorry I took so long kids really wanted to talk to me after the battle" Goh could tell by the way ash rubbed his head with the back of his arm that ash was lying but he didn't care to ask about it he was too nervous to anyway.
"Got any of the new Pokémon around here?" Ash asked.
"Oh, Er I've caught 15 already well 14 actually"
"Wait what do you mean is it 15 or 14?" Ash asked confused.
Goh sucked in a breath it was all or nothing now. "Well since I haven't been able to see you as much as I would have wanted to, and I wanted to give you a gift" Goh handed the Pokeball he had caught Wattrel in over to Ash.
"Goh really for me" Ash let Wattrel out of her Pokeball still tired from the battle with Cinderace sat contently in Ash's arms letting him stroke her feathers that gave off a light tingling noise.
"Wait so you want me to have her?"
"Ya, ya" Goh stammered "I know you've never had an Electric type aside from Pikachu and I know you would want to catch new Pokémon in Paldea and I think this one suits you best she was able to dodge Cinderace's Pyro Ball she's super-fast. Besides, I've already got plenty of Flying and Electric types it's not a big deal"
"Are you sure"
"Yes, I'm sure Ash"
"Well, Wattrel what do you think about coming with me?" "Watt! watt!" Wattrel gave a little squawk of approval as she fell asleep in Ash's arms.
"She seems pretty comfortable around you" Goh smiled.
"I'll take that as a yes" Ash said happily Goh shakily handed over Wattrel's Pokeball to Ash giving Ash his first capture in Paldea if by technicality.
Juliana walked through the streets of Mesagoza after the long eventful day she had she just wanted to go back to her dorm and go to bed.
Unfortunately, fate seemed to have other plans as she made her way up the many stairs that lead to the school, she heard shouting coming from a nearby alleyway though she couldn't make out what they were saying.
Her better judgment told her it wasn't a good idea to go looking into alleyways at dusk who knows what kind of people would be down there at this hour? But her curiosity told her to go look down the alley and see what was happening.
Down the alleyway, she saw a girl with blue and red hair cornered by two people with sunglasses and biker helmets. It took a second, but Juliana realized from the rolled-up sleeves to the star-shaped sunglasses to the girl's shorts that her mother might say were "just asking for guys' attention" that they were members of Team Star.
"What don't you want to shine bright like a star?" the guy asked.
"Um... I'd rather not" the blue and red-haired girl replied dully Juliana decided she had to help her stepping in front of her.
"Huh, you so you want in on this too?"
"Yes, now leave this poor girl alone" Juliana snapped back.
"If you're here to sign up will get to you next we've almost got this one in the bag"
"I'm not here to sign up I'm here because you won't leave this poor girl alone!" Juliana threw Tulio out of his Pokeball in case they wanted to try anything.
"Oh, so you want to fight you little mierda? Oort, you watch the little four eyes over there all deal with this one"
"You got it, Kuiper"
"Brilla Brillante Shroodle!" Kuiper yelled sending out the Toxic Mouse Pokémon.
"Shroodle Scratch!" Shroodle ran forward claws out to scratch Tulio "Dodge it!" Tulio twirled around Shroodle dodging the attack "Now use Pound!" Quaxly slapped Shroodle on the back with his wing dealing damage.
"Acid Spray!" Shroodle fired a spray of poison from between her teeth hitting Quaxly with the sticky spray Tulio quacked in discomfort very upset about his hair getting ruined.
"Bite!" Shroodle ran forward and bit Quaxly on the wing.
"Use Pound!" Tulio slammed his other wing down on Shroodle knocking himself free of Shroodle's grip.
"Fury Swipes!" Shroodle started scratching repeatedly at Quaxly who twirled and spun to dodge the worst of it all though he still took a couple of swipes.
"Use Water Gun!" Quaxly let out a Water Gun hitting Shroodle and sending him tumbling back.
"Use Pound!" Quaxly ran over and slapped Shroodle with his wing well Shroodle was getting up from the Water Gun knocking Shroodle out.
"No! no! no! no! No es justa" Kuiper yelled "How could I have lost"
"Forget it Kuiper I'm not battling this girl" Oort sighed.
"Let's just get out of here"
"Asta la vistar!" The two students yelled before running off down the alleyway.
"Well, we really showed them didn't we Tulio" Tulio was too busy trying to get the poison from the Acid Spray out of his feathers to answer.
"Um. cuse me but um. thank you" the girl weakly stated.
"All um. see you around" The girl said before running off.
"Hey, wait come back I didn't get your name come back" Juliana yelled but the girl was already gone.
The entrance to the cave glittered in the moonlight casting silver shadows across its flat surface.
"The silence was disturbed by two figures that appeared at the entrance in the back a Persian his sleek cream fur glowing in the moonlight his red eyes glowing in the night as he stalked on his haunches down the cave into the darkness.
Leading the Classy Cat Pokémon was an Espathra her long Ostrich legs stalking elegantly through the darkness with only glowing fungus to illuminate the inky blackness.
"Intruder!" suddenly an army of dog Pokémon rushed out and cornered the pair barking and snarling viciously but the pair remained perfectly calm.
"I want to speak with your leader" The Espathra spoke in a calm accent.
"What do you wish to speak about?" the rest of the dogs parted ways as a large Houndoom walked up towards the pair his eyes calculating and taking them in.
"I want to make you a deal" Espathra puffed out her feathers which started to glow in shades of neon pink and magenta.
"And what is this deal?" the Houndoom questioned.
"We know what happened earlier today with the scarlet beast I saw how it tore through your ranks like butter" The Persian explained
"Don't you dear talk about our pack like that!"
"Silence!" Espathra screeched talons scraping against the ground.
"That was no ordinary Pokémon its power is far stronger than normal Pokémon you need not feel bad about losing to it" The Persian replied coolly.
"Now what if I told you that my boss here knows how to make you just as strong as the Scarlet Beast for a price"
"Go on?" the Houndoom asked suspiciously.
"In the center of this land, there is a giant crater inside the crater are crystals that can give normal Pokémon unimaginable power" Espathra explained.
"If we can get ourselves some of these crystals, we can become the most powerful Pokémon in the whole region Powerful enough to take down the Scarlet Beast and even more"
"You see in the depths of this crater it is said reality becomes distorted and one can travel time which means if we can get there"
"We can become the most powerful creatures in the multiverse" The Houndoom finished the sentence.
"Right now, we don't have the manpower to get to the crater the people won't let us and there are powerful Pokémon in that crater and that's where you come in"
"You want me and my pack to provide that manpower" The Houndoom answered.
"Precisely if you provide the manpower, we can accomplish our goals and soon I will have more Pokémon on our side"
"Alright you've got I deal"
"excelente"
And Que the End credit song ("Curico" by Kiltro) I think it goes so well with this chapter.
So anyway, what do you think of this chapter? What do think of Goh giving Ash Wattrel I feel like it's time for Ash to get another Electric Type and Wattrel is basically the regional bird, so I think it's a good choice.
Anyways now the plot is thickening so stay tuned to see the different paths start plus will get more from some of the Pokémon themselves.
