(A/N: Okay, now it's time for Chapter 5, which will also be the final chapter of the story! Let's get it started and see how Snaptrap is doing!)
It was Christmas Day in the city of Petropolis. Most of the kiddies have awoken and are finding the results of Santa's visit. Bad guys are waking up to find that they got absolutely nothing from Santa, so they're not in for a fun day. Wait a second! Did Santa stop by Snapdance Studios last night?! There's only one way to find out! Let's join up with Snaptrap right now!
Over at D.O.O.M., Snaptrap was just waking up.
"Morning, already?" Snaptrap asked himself.
Then he realized what day it was and he was wide awake in an instant.
"Oh yeah! It's Christmas morning! I'd better go see if the guys and the kids are up yet!" Snaptrap said as he leaped out of bed and flew down the hall to Ollie's room. Ollie wasn't in there. Francisco and Larry weren't in their rooms, either.
"Where could they be?" Snaptrap asked himself. Then he remembered the nursery, and he said, "Oh, right! Maybe they're busy checking up on the kids!" So he ran to the nursery.
Snaptrap opened the door, and a quick look around revealed that his henchmen were not in the room. He walked over to the crib to find that Snappy had awoken, and he was currently the only occupant of the crib.
"Merry Christmas, Snappy. Where did your friends go?" Snaptrap asked as he lifted his son out of the crib.
Snappy just looked at his father with a happy smile. Perhaps he was just glad to see his father.
"Let's go downstairs and see if everyone is down there." Snaptrap suggested, carrying his little boy downstairs.
When they got downstairs, it turned out that all his henchmen were in the kitchen, and Ollie was preparing cinnamon buns for everyone to enjoy for breakfast. Well, the babies got oatmeal instead, since they weren't old enough for cinnamon buns.
"So, this is where you guys have been hiding! I was wondering where you'd gotten to!" Snaptrap said, sounding slightly miffed as he walked into the kitchen.
"No, Boss, we just happened to get up pretty early this morning, unable to get back to sleep." Ollie said as he finished putting the icing on the cinnamon rolls.
"Okay. Anyway, you guys know what day this is, don't you?" asked Snaptrap as he set Snappy in his high chair before sitting down himself.
"I know what today is; it's Christmas morning! I can't believe it's here!" Larry said.
"Given what day it is, do you think Santa made a stop at Snapdance Studios last night, Boss?" Francisco asked.
Snaptrap wanted to say yes, but like Francisco, he wasn't entirely sure whether or not Santa came. What if Santa still had their names on the Naughty List?
"I... I don't really know... I hope he stopped by, but I still don't know if he knows that we've reformed, and that we've got kids who deserve a Christmas." Snaptrap said.
"I'm sure he wouldn't leave us out. Not if we have good kids. Amanda said he would know that we've changed. Do you doubt her word, Boss?" Ollie asked.
"I shouldn't, because she's the author, so she should be right on the laundered money." Snaptrap said.
"I guess we'll have to wait until we finish breakfast to find out the results of last night. I just hope they're good." said Francisco.
"You and me both..." Larry said.
The thought ate away at the members of D.O.O.M. as they ate their cinnamon buns. They were tempted to wolf down their food, but that wasn't a smart idea because they could choke, and the kids needed to be fed, too, so they had to take it slow. It was probably the most difficult part of the day for them.
After eating breakfast, getting the kids fed, and getting ready for the day, Snaptrap and his men quickly got the kids dressed, bundled up, and into the multi-child stroller. Then they made their way to Snapdance Studios to see what they could see.
When they got there, Snaptrap unlocked the doors, and they walked inside to see something really nice. The plate of cookies was empty, as was the glass of eggnog. That was a hint that Santa had been. And under the tree and in the stockings were more presents! Santa must have stopped by!
"Holy..." Snaptrap couldn't think of the words to say.
"I think..." Ollie said.
"Is it true?" asked Francisco.
"Santa came! He was here!" Larry exclaimed in joy as he read the 'to-&-from tag' on one of the gifts sitting under the tree. It was from Santa Claus!
"All right! The big guy was here! Let's see what we're looking at!" Snaptrap said as he and his friends sorted through the presents under the tree and got down the stockings.
There were presents for everyone, not just Snappy, Melody, Stella, and Murray. They instantly knew what that meant!
"Santa must have known we reformed!" Snaptrap said.
"I told you he'd know!" a familiar voice said.
Snaptrap looked at the tree and saw the ornament of the Sugarplum Fairy, which was me.
"You were right, Amanda. He knows if we've been bad or good, so he knows we changed our tune." Snaptrap said.
"Yes. He knows everybody and everything." I replied.
"Let's see what he got us!" Larry said.
"Hold it, Larry! Like last night, the kids get to go first!" said Ollie.
So like the night before, the children got to open a present before their dads. And the dads once again played "Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock" to decide the order of who opens presents after the children have had their turn.
After opening all the Santa presents, they opened the stocking-stuffers from each other. One of Larry's presents to Snaptrap was a ticket to a hockey game between the San Jose Sharks and the Ottawa Senators, and the game was taking place at the Sharks' stadium.
"Ooh! A ticket to a hockey game!" Snaptrap said.
"I got it for you, and I also bought a ticket for myself!" Larry said, producing his own ticket from the pocket of his winter coat.
"Cool! Why are we going to see a team known as the Sharks?" Snaptrap asked.
"Didn't you know? Their stadium is known as "The Shark Tank". That's the kind of shark tank I don't mind being in!" Larry said.
"Okay, Larry. You win. I appreciate this gift so much, I won't throw you into the shark tank until spring." Snaptrap said.
"Good. And the game takes place before New Year's." Larry said.
Sure enough, the tickets said that the game was going to take place a few days after Christmas.
"Great! I'm already looking forward to the game!" Snaptrap said.
After all the presents had been opened, everyone was happy.
"So, it looks like we've had a merry Christmas after all!" Snaptrap said.
"We have!" said Ollie.
"Hold it, guys! You missed something." I said.
"What did we miss?" Snaptrap asked, looking around. He was pretty sure they'd opened every gift there was.
"Just this." I said, holding an envelope that had been resting among some nearby branches. The envelope was striped red and white, like a candy cane, and it said, "To Snaptrap, Ollie, Francisco, and Larry".
"Who is it from, Amanda?" Larry asked.
"No clue. It was here this morning when I showed up, and I didn't put it here." I replied.
Ollie opened the envelope and slowly drew out a letter.
"What does it say? Who is it from?" Larry asked.
"Let me see..." Ollie said. He read the letter aloud to the others. This is what the letter said:
To Snaptrap, Ollie, Francisco, and Larry,
Earlier this year, it was brought to my attention that the four of you were willing to reform for your kids, Snappy, Melody, Stella, and Murray. I must admit that I was surprised to find this out, and I almost chose not to believe it, for I didn't think it was possible for villains to change for the better.
But after seeing the good job you're doing raising your kids, and seeing that you haven't committed any crimes since you became fathers, I had no choice but to believe that the impossible had really happened, and as a result of your good behavior, you have all been moved to my Nice List.
You all have done a fantastic job at being fathers. I was duly impressed to see how well the four of you have been behaving since your children came along. Keep up the good work for your little ones, and have a Merry Christmas!
Sincerely, Santa Claus
"Wow! He really did find out that we've changed for the better!" said Francisco.
"Yes, he did." I replied.
"And to think! We've made it to his Nice List! How refreshing!" said Snaptrap.
"See what good comes from reforming?" I asked.
"Yeah! We're in the clear!" Larry said, sounding really happy.
"So, tell me, guys, have you been having a Merry Christmas?" I asked.
"YEAH!" the members of D.O.O.M. replied in unison.
"That's good!" I smiled.
Snaptrap and Ollie then prepared the feast while Francisco and Larry watched over the children, who were happily playing with their toys.
When the food was ready, the members of D.O.O.M. enjoyed their feast, which made their Christmas even happier.
It was late when Snaptrap and his henchmen decided to finally call it a night and head on home. They gathered up their presents, put the kids in the multi-child stroller, and left Snapdance Studios. They locked it up for the night and started walking home.
But I heard them exclaim as they walked out of sight, "Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!"
The End
Okay, I know this chapter was shorter than the others, but at least we know that Santa knew they reformed, and he brought presents to them as well as their little ones. I hope you all have a Merry Christmas like they did!
