"Stark, do you see the island?" asked Captain America.
"Yep, I see it," replied Iron Man. "I also see a runway." The plane approaches the runway. Suddenly, a voice came out of the speakers.
"Identify yourselves," said the voice.
"This is the Avengers," said Captain America. "We're here on a mission."
"Avengers?" Talking can heard from the other side. "You are clear to land." The plane landed on the runway. Captain America, Black Widow and Chun-Li exit the plane. Iron Man lands on the runway.
"Well, well. It's good to see you all here." A man in a wheelchair approaches the group.
"It's good to see you, Professor X," said Captain America. The leader of the X-Men, Charles Xavier, stands before Captain America and his group.
"So, what brings you to this island?" asked Professor X.
"We're on a rescue mission," said Chun-Li. "We're looking for someone who's not from this reality."
"Someone from a different universe," said Iron Man. Professor X thought it over.
"Hmm, so you're here for him. Follow me," said Professor X. The group follow Professor X to a nearby building. Inside the building was a massive research facility. There were workers using machinery and conducting experiments.
"Professor Xavier," said a voice coming from a nearby man. "We're about ready to-" The man paused when he saw Captain America's group.
"Captain America! Iron Man! It's so nice to see you!" said the man.
"It's nice to see you, Hank," said Captain America.
"What brings you here to this island?"
"We're here to retrieve someone," said Chun-Li.
"They're here to retrieve him," said Professor X. "Go tell the rest they're here."
"Yes, Professor Xavier," said Hank as he ran off to tell the rest of the X-Men of the arrival of the Avengers.
"Come," said Professor X, leading the way deeper into the facility. While they were exploring the facility, they hear incoming footsteps.
"Captain!" The voice came from a man with a red visor.
"Hello, Scott," said Captain America.
"It's so nice to see you, after all this time," said Scott.
"Nice to see you, too."
"Hey, how come they're clamoring after you?" said Iron Man.
"Scott, let's head to the room containing him," said Professor X.
"Yes, Professor Xavier," said Scott. "Right this way." They walk down a long hallway lead up to the room. Inside the room was several X-Men standing around a single container.
"Everyone, the Avengers are here," said Scott. Their faces light up when they turned around to see the Avengers standing right in front of them.
"Captain!"
"Iron Man!"
"Chun-Li!"
"Natasha!" The X-Men started gathering around the Avengers.
"Oh my gosh!"
"How have you been?"
"What have you been doing?"
"I love that suit of yours, Black Widow!"
"Alright, alright, settle down," said Professor X.
"Well, it's about time you guys showed up," said a voice. The voice came from a man all too familiar with the Avengers.
"Long time no see, Logan," said Captain America. Logan walked over to the Avengers.
"Good to see you guys, too," said Logan.
"You know, I've been thinking," said Iron Man. "All of you could have been really helpful fighting against Ultron Sigma."
"Sorry there, Stark," said Logan. "But we had to protect our island."
"Fair enough," said Chun-Li.
"Anyway, let's talk about why you're really here," said Professor X, pointing to the container. The Avengers walked up to the container and observed its occupant. There in the container stood Russman.
"He matches Misty's description," said Chun-Li.
"He just appeared on the island out of nowhere," said Psylocke.
"We decided to keep him in this container. We also checked his vitals to see if there's anything wrong with him," said Colossus.
"So far, there's nothing abnormal about him," said Jean Grey.
"Well, thanks for keeping him safe. We'll take it from here," said Iron Man.
"You want him now?" said Hank.
"Can't we observe for a little longer?" asked Scott. Captain America, Iron Man, Chun-Li and Black Widow trade glances.
"Alright," said Iron Man. "But just a little longer. We'll be taking him by the end of the day."
"Thank you, Iron Man," said Scott.
"Come. Stay for a while," said Professor X.
"Logan, lead them to the lounging area."
"Come on, follow me," said Logan. The Avengers follow Logan out of the facility.
"Hey Storm," said Black Widow. "Thanks for the compliment." Black Widow and Storm smile at each other as Black Widow leaves the facility.
