I started to watch General Hospital in late 2017 during the peak or what should have been the peak of Jason's twin storyline. I fell in love with Elizabeth Webber when I saw her at the launch party; I didn't understand the hype around Sam or Carly, nor did I see it with Jason and Sonny. I liked characters like Alexis, Julian, Ned, Elizabeth, Scott, and Dante. I saw them as one of my favourite underdogs from the other soaps I watched. I wanted to get to know and understand these characters more, so I did what an average person would do and looked at their history on Youtube and Wiki.

And what I learned to piss me off was that some of those characters were assassination characters for the likes of others on the show. And for the record, the whole point is the mother chooses what she wants. Does it only apply to who Jason and Sonny want it to, like Sam and Carly, and not to others, such as Elizabeth and Alexis? The more I learned about Alexis and Elizabeth, the more I loved them. But I will never understand why they ruined Alexis and Elizabeth for Carly and Sam. When I started to watch General Hospital, I noticed how backward a show such as a hospital show blotched the main point of first responders and their responsibilities to victims. This was evident in a few storylines for Alexis and Elizabeth.

During this time, I found out about fanfiction. I was reading ones on Marvel before looking at General Hospital. I couldn't believe how people showed Elizabeth why JaSam never worked out when they were just dull and identical twins. If we were honest, Liason was never given a fair chance, unlike their other popular pairings. When I started watching, I was studying psychology. I pinpoint couples on the show being toxic for each other and unhealthy relationships (Luke and Laura, anyone?), and now I'm studying to be an SSW (Social Services Worker). I wanted to redo what a vast miss, in my opinion, and could have been a real learning point for a show who glorified a rapist marrying his victim. I wanted to do a story about Elizabeth's second full-term pregnancy and birth for a while now, and I finally figured out how to do it. I want to take what I am learning, make a character who has my job and help Elizabeth.

This story will take place the night after the blackout, and instead of going the route they did for Elizabeth (where I feel they do time after time), I want to apply the new character. Most women in Soaps are still written as time hasn't changed and a show where medical professionals, including police, lawyers, and teachers, are not speaking up for victims but encouraging the victims to take the person back or it is their responsibility to take care of the person who is hurting them. This isn't okay or cute then or now, and this was true for this storyline as they made it Elizabeth's job and ended up making it her fault when it was many people's fault.

So, I write this for women who were still in an abusive relationship, such as LnL2, because their support system made it their job, and I write it for my #LizFF.

August 8, 2006, ~ Spencer's Apartment

Elizabeth Spencer looked around the apartment she shared with Lucky. All of the promises they made and the family she wanted her son to have. She wondered where did it go wrong. Where did she fail her son and husband?

Elizabeth stared at the note again when the door opened.

"You got the note. I realize that I have to get help for you." Lucky said as he got closer to her.

"Who knew?"

"Elizabeth, that doesn't matter—

"Carly, Maxie, you, me, and I told Jason. So who else knows?" Elizabeth asked as she picked up Remi's toys.

"You told Jason?"

"Yes, I stayed with him last night as I couldn't face my family as they are for you, not me."

"I will ask again, who knows about you and Maxie?"

"Your beloved Drake, Robin, Cruz, and Georgie. Maybe Dillion."

Jason's Penthouse

Jason stares back at his pool table, where he finally made love to Elizabeth. He knew now that his love for Courtney was rebound while his feelings for Sam were still unclear. He believes there is love, but what kind of love?

Would they have last, or would it be another situation like Courtney's?

He started to think about what Elizabeth was saying about not wanting Remi around his life, but it didn't make sense as Zander was his father, and Helena was still alive and well from what he heard. They still didn't understand why they broke up or didn't work out. He wanted to because it was the first time everything was fitting in place in a long time.

Looking around, he realized this wasn't his home anymore and wondered when that happened.

Lansing-Davis's Lake House

Alexis Lansing-Davis should have told them about her seeing them and her cancers, but she couldn't. Like Elizabeth and Jason, she also wondered where her life went wrong. She thought she had found somebody to live with and have a family with.

How could her daughter ruin her sisters' happiness?

How could her husband give up on her?

She knew there was one person she could turn well into two people, but she wondered if they would help.

Spencer's Apartment

"I know Patrick knows, as he told me last night. I will pack up the rest of my son's things and head over to spend time with him. I can't handle you and your problems."

"You can't leave me because we made a promise, and you must help me. Audrey can take care of him while we work on our marriage."

"You can't be serious!" Elizabeth asked.

"I helped you with your raped and raised your son. Now it is your turn to help me."

Before Elizabeth could answer, she got a page to the hospital.

DA's Office

Alexis sat down at her desk, looking at her phone.

"Alexis?" Jason asked.

Looking up, she couldn't believe it.

"I was going to call you, and now you are here. How did you know?' Alexis joked with him.

Jason cracks a smile.

"I know what happened last night with Ric and Sam. I saw them have sex. I only told Elizabeth, who caught Lucky in bed with Maxie." Jason said as he sat down.

Alexis started to cry.

Startled at her crying, Jason got up and hugged her.

"What's going on, Alexis? We were once friends before Sonny, then Sam and Ric got between us."

"I have stage 2 lung cancer, and my husband cheated on me with my long-lost daughter,"

"Who knows?" Jason asked.

"No one but my doctor. However, Sonny has asked questions, and I don't want him to know. I think he knows about Ric and Sam. Alexis said she took the glass from him.

"I have been thinking since seeing Ric and Sam. I realize that you and Elizabeth have been right about me since I return home. Do you want me to get him to lay off because I did as I told his PI false information, as I know it is up to you when you want to tell people what's going on?"

Alexis looked at Jason and realized that this was the man she knew.

"There is something you should know," Jason started.
