Out of Sight out of Mind is a Challenge Fic from a Friend, he said he got the original challenge off reading a older Fic from 2013 or 2014, that only had 1 or 2 chapters, so basic Premise "Naruto learns at the Age of 6 if no one sees him or he is quiet no one will bother him, they won't shoot mean or Nasty looks or Say mean or hate full thing, but that also mean no one will stop him from Training."
Rule to the Challenge - OC Naruto (Custom Appearance is Optional), No Kekkei Genkai, He will not be on Team 7/8/9/10, He learns about his jinchuriki Status at a early Age but doesn't affect him, Fuinjutsu Master Naruto is allowed as long as he chooses a School of Fuinjutsu, No Main Wind Element Naruto, Elements must be Water, Earth and Lightning, Fighting Style must use Bukijutsu (Weapon Techniques), Summoning Contract is Allowed, Jiraiya isn't Naruto's Godfather but Tsunade is his Godmother, Kakashi knows who Naruto is but not that he is related to his sensei, No Harem but polygamy is allowed no more that 3 people, Pairing cannot be any of the Main Females (Sakura, Hinata, Ino, Kurenai, Tenten, Tamari), OC Highly Encouraged the more the better, and Finally not everyone is going to ignore Naruto or forget he exist.
And those are the rules of this Fic, not many, only 14 but I will say It is going to be interesting to write hopefully. I also don't know if there is going to be more than one part depending on how much I like it. Chapter 1 - What we learn Alone
Naruto Always Remembered his 6 Birthday after running away from his Chasers he ran and Hide in the Forest outside of the Village, he remembered the Last time he was outside of the Village, Jiji Found him Camping out and Fishing. But this time was different. He was running for his life, but he eventually lost them and hid inside a Cave.
He waited they all Night, know that it was safe here, that is when he met another old man, he remembers the man as if he still sees him now the tapping of his Cane on the Stone of the Caves floor, the Sound of his Wooden Peg Leg tapping as well, his Long Black jinbei, with a white Lining and Red Belt his Aged Face with spiky black Hair that goes over that of a Black Bandana his Onix Eyes, but the thing that stands out the Most the X scar on his chin.
He remembers the Man Smiling at him, a soft smile almost Welcoming, but his Aged and rough features as Slightly off putting to him at that Age. The Man With his Gruff Voice was Soft spoken to him, after getting Naruto trust ensuring him that he wouldn't attack him he sat next to the boy and spoke to him, Apologising for everything that has happened to him, he even tells him About his burden, and how after he leaked the Information he Felt instantly wrong for it, even going so Far to Telling the Hokage, his Former Friend and Rival about it, even telling him about all his Black Ops, and all the other Shady stuff his has done even asking to be executed but the Hokage, wasn't having any of it and told him to own his actions. So that is what he is doing now, Owning his Action and Asking for Forgiveness for what he has done. But Naruto forgave him, telling him that there is enough Hatred in this world.
Danzo does make him one more promise if he can help him in the future when he becomes a Shinobi he will. He also gives him a bit of Advice, "If no one sees you or you are quiet no one will bother you, they won't shoot mean or Nasty looks or Say mean or hateful things, Naruto-kun, Sometimes it's best to Fade into the background." That bit of Advice served him well. Danzo even tells Naruto that he would talk to the Hokage about possibly getting promotion to reveal who Naruto's Parents are to him but does tell him that they had many enemies and if he was revealed to be their son a Massive target would appear on his back.
As the Pranks Stopped People wouldn't even look his way he wasn't shouting about being Hokage anymore he just Faded into the background, Yes he would still go to Ichiraku's With the Hokage, and Spend some time with Jiji. but he became more Reserved. Letting the people who are close in and those who aren't he doesn't.
Then At 9 Years Old he was told if he wanted to he could Join the Ninja Academy and he jumps at that but he remembers his First Week and it wasn't good, he was Ignored by all the Teachers but one Umino Iruka, but he could tell that Iruka didn't like him much, he didn't Hate the boy but he couldn't bring himself to Forgive the boy for something he has never done.
But at the end of that week he remembers waiting till class' were done for the day and everyone had left. Iruka was marking Paper at the front of the class, he hadn't even noticed that Naruto was still there as he was Quiet in class.
Naruto went up to him to just try his luck. Maybe there was someone who didn't hate him, so he went up to him, "Umino-Sensei?" Naruto asks trying to be extremely respectful, Iruku Looking up give his best Neutral Teacher face, "I know that Most Teacher, if not all teacher doesn't like me, hell most of the Village hates me for something that I can't Control, but you seem different, you don't just Ignore me or Dismiss me, you Ask Questions, and seem like you want to Teach me, So I was wondering If I could have some Help, I don't have any material from any other Class as they refuse to give it to me, and I don't have any Training Equipment that was meant to be provided."
He tells his to the man and he is quiet, mulling over everything he has been told and then realise that Naruto is just another Student, another resident of Konoha, "Wait here." he tells the boy as he leaves the room, returning 30 minute later with things he was meant to be given, "if you need any help with the Material come see me after School is finished," he told the boy before Naruto Left.
Over the next 5 Years at the academy he kept his head down staying out of people's way and Eventually the Teacher started to see him as Uzumaki Naruto and not the Demon Brat. well everyone but one teacher Mizuki, someone who constantly tries to fail him, but Naruto keeps his head down.
During those 5 years he Practised everything he has been taught, becoming Advanced in that of the Leaf Style Taijutsu Style, Naruto Also lead a very interesting jutsu, Earth Release: Mud Clone, he learnt it off of a Root Anbu Member after he told Hiruzen-Jiji and Danzo-Jiji during his Weekly Visit to see Hiruzen-Jiji, since he needed 'a' Clone Jutsu to pass but it never stated it needed to be 'The' Clone Jutsu.
Also During the 5 years he gained a Fascination with Swords More specifically a Jain Sword After reading about the Legendary Sword of Kusanagi One of Naruto's Dreams is to have a blade as fine as that one day. But he is waiting till he Graduates the Academy before he gets a Sword as they are expensive.
But hopefully that day is soon, as today is day of the Final exam, getting to the classroom bright and early he is the first one they and he takes his seat in the back like always so he can look out of the window, he watches as everyone files in one by one, he always felt unlucky being in the same class as the Clan Heirs since the class had more focus on it, he remember having a talk with Hiruzen-Jiji about how unfair it was but he would get tell him being a Ninja is unfair, and then departs a bit of wisdom into him, "If a Ninja Finds themselves in a Fair Fight they have done something wrong."
Naruto is surprised when he sees Iruka-Sensei walk into the class Alone not followed by his Shadow Mizuki, but Iruka Addresses that by saying Mizuki is out on a Mission and won't be back today. That doesn't really bother Him since he didn't like Mizuki, and that is when Iruka give a Speech about the will of Fire before starting the final Test
Hokage's Office - Same Time
Currently in the Hokage's office a Group of 15 Jonins stand around a Crystal ball Whilst the Hokage and his Adviser Danzo Watch as the Academy students take they Final Test. Currently Watching to see who they want on their genin teams, the First to speak is a Man with Gravity Defying White Hair, "Slightly Disappointing Batch this year, except for the Clan Hairs." he says not looking up from his Little orange book.
A Man with a Chin Strap Beard and smoking agrees, the same with a woman with Red Eye and Stunning Raven Hair. but someone in the room disagrees a Older man about 51 with a Large Muscular Frame who stands about 195cm with his Shoulder Length Brown Hair with a few strands of Gray, Tied in to a Man Bun on the back of his head, three thick Strands falling down his face a Think and Well Groomed beard frames his face, his Light Brown Eyes Calculating everything around him, he is dressed in the Standard Leaf Jonin Outfit but instead of the Blue it black with his headband Tied around his Left Bicep.
This man seems to be the only one looking over the Academy reports and he finds three names he wants, Uzumaki Naruto, Taki Dansu, and Yajirushi Azula. Looking over the Academy Reports he believes they could be a Good Stealth and Assassination Team, Uzumaki Naruto, The boy has talent he can Vanish into a Crowd from Years of experience of not wanting to be noticed, has Chakra for days, plus could probably Pack a Punch if needed for what he holds. Taki Dansu, she could be that of a Mid Range fighter and possible Medic or Genjutsu User. Yajirushi Azula, She from what he can tell has almost if not Perfect Vision she can spot the Smallest Details out of something, and from what the teacher guess she could even track Anbu leave speed, what that type of Vision she could be that of a Long Range Fighter using that of a Bow.
As he has Chosen the people he wants, as everyone is speaking and watching the Man move over to the Kage, "Hokage-sama," he says in his Deep voice, the Kage turns to look at him, "yes, Zettai-san." he hands the Hokage three Folders, "I want these three, if those three," he gesture to the three from before, "don't want them." he says.
The Hokage looks over the Files, as everyone looks at Zettai, Hiruzen thinks to himself, "Uzumaki Naruto, Taki Dansu, and Yajirushi Azula, I can see what he is going for a Stealth and Assassination Team. I would hope that Kakashi Choses the boy but he hasn't shown any interest in him over the last 14 years. I'm starting to doubt he even knows who he is." as he is thinking Danzo looks over the Files as well and agrees that they would make a Good time.
Hiruzen puts the Files down, "I will approve the team, if the three of them don't choose any." the man Nods before Loving back into the crowd. The man with Gravity Defying hair chooses to speak to him, "So Ran-Senpai, who did you want?" says still looking at his book, "you know Hatake-kohai, If you don't stop reading your book in front of Hokage-sama, I will start telling your Fan Girls where you live." Ran tells him.
The man instantly puts it away since he knows it would be something the man would do. Turning back to the Crystal Ball they see that the Exam is over and that the whole Class has passed. Hiruzen puts the ball away, before looking at his Jonin, "Kakashi-kun, Asuma-kun, and Kurenai-chan, you three are to choose first, Kakashi-kun?"
The Man with Gravity Defying hair steps up first, and with a Bored expression and tone, "I would like Uchiha Sasuke, Haruno Sakura and Inuzuka Kiba." he says before stepping back, The man with a Chinstrap steps forward, "I would like the new Ino-Shika-Cho." he says before stepping back, Finally the Woman with Red eye steps forward, "I would like Kurama Yakumo, Hyuga Hinata and Aburame Shino." she says before stepping back.
The Kage mulls over their request before speaking, "Kakashi-kun, why those three?", The Man Eye smiles, "If Sasuke is the Awakens his Sharingan, I am the only one to Teach him, Sakura, is smart and with the write Training she could become a Medical Ninja or Genjutsu Master, and Kiba because I believe he can balance the team, bring them closer together." she tells him, "I accept your team, Asuma-kun?"
The Smoking Jonin nods, "it's that of the Sarutobi job to train the Next Ino-Shika-Cho Generation." he says and everyone else in the room agrees, "Kurenai-chan?" the kage asks her, "I believe I would be able to Help Hinata on my team more than I already have, Yakumo, is outgoing and I gets along with everyone, plus I could help her with her Genjutsu and Finally Shino from what I have seen gets along with everyone."
The Hokage nods slightly, "All three Teams are Accepted. Zettai Ran-san, your reason for wanting those three?" The man Steps Forward, "Uzumaki Naruto, Taki Dansu, and Yajirushi Azula. after Looking over the Academy Reports I believe they could be a Good Stealth and Assassination Team, Uzunaki-san already has the Stealth Skills. Taki-san, She has Perfect Chakra Control similar to that of Haruno-san, and would make a Perfect Mid Range Fighter combine that with poisons she could be deadly, and Yajirushi-san from what I can tell she has Perfect Vision giving some Training she could be the perfect Sharp Shooter." he tells everyone in the room. "Well I've already Accepted your team, Just train them well."
1 Hour later - Hokage Tower
Naruto has waited for this day for 14 years. After meeting Danzo all those years ago and who promised him he would talk to the Hokage about this, and Hiruzen-Jiji agreed if Naruto would become a Genin he would tell him about his mother and her side of the family.
Right now Naruto was in the office of the kage, Reading from a Scroll his mother left him, about his clan, the Normally Blond Haired quiet boy, Drops his persona, he release the Transformation Jutsu he has been keeping on since he unlocked his chakra all those years ago, his once Blond Spiky Hair, Blue Eye, Whiskered face is now got, his Skin Smooth and Whisker free, his once blue Eyes now violet and his Blond Spiky hair now a Smooth Red that is Shaved on the Sides and back but brushed over to his Left side of his face that goes down to his Shoulder.
A tear runs down his face as he reads his mother letter, telling him about his Clan, the Uzumaki Clan and how they were all but gone by now, they maybe some somewhere in the world but the last she know was her cousin and Naruto's godmother Senju Tsunade, who she hoped would have raised Naruto in her and his Fathers absence. Telling him that he has Clan holding in Konoha if it is still standing after the Kyuubi attack. How he has Clan techniques there.
After finishing the Letter he looks up at the Hokage, "I have family, Why didn't Tsunade raise me?" he asks the old man. Hiruzen moves over to him, "She wanted to, but did not trust herself, you see Tsunade lost everything, her Clan, her Brother and Fiancee. So she left Konoha and vowed never to return, but she has keeped in touch, about your progress." that when Hiruzen gets an Idea, "Naruto-kun, how about you write a Letter to her, I'm sure she would love to hear from you. And who knows we could get her to visit. And possibly Stay." but he thinks that last bit.
"My mother scroll said that there may be some Clan holding in the Village, did any of them survive the Attack?" he asks Hiruzen-Jiji. "Yes Naruto-kun, a Clan property in the Clan Area it isn't that big. The house is only one Story, 8 rooms, 3 are bedrooms, one being a Master, a Study, Livingroom, Dining Room/Kitchen Pantry and storage room. It does have a Large Garden, along with a Training room on the grounds." Naruto Listens at the Hokage Speaks, whilst mentally Naruto is planning on moving in.
Hirzuen, seeing that Naruto is off in his own Mind, Chooses to change the subject, "Are you looking forward to meeting your team tomorrow?" he asked, and Naruto Smiles, "as long as i'm not on a Team with any of the Major Clan Heir, apart from maybe Choji or Shino. The rest are kind of into themselves, Also I hope i'm not on a team with the Extreme fangirl like Sakura." he tells the Kage who chuckles.
Following Day - Ninja Academy
After finding out about his Clan and Mother, Escorted by the Hokage and Neko-Chan he made his way to his Old Apartment go clear it out before heading to his Clan's Grounds, Arriving he was he entered with the all his things, he sees the Blank Gates after being told to channel chakra into the gate, the swirl of the Uzumaki Clan Appears, and the Gates open to see that of a Overgrown Grass covered Courtyard, with a Stone Path, Leading to a Single Story house, in a Traditional Konoha Style, behind the house is that of a Large Back garden with a Training Dojo in the back. The house has 8 rooms, 3 are bedrooms, one being a Master, a Study, Livingroom, Dining Room/Kitchen Pantry and storage room but surprisingly dust free, According do Hiruzen-Jiji Uzumaki Seal, in the Living room they is a Large Red Semi-Circle Sofa with a Coffee table in the Centre, 2 Red fabric lazy boys. The Dining Room has a Table that can hold 8 people, the Kitchen has a Fridge/Freezer combo that still works a Gas over. The Study is locked with a Fuinjutsu Seal, so he leaves that for now, but the 3 bedrooms are basically the same double Bed, with a Large Wardrobe and night Stands and set of Draws.
After he sets his stuff down and Says goodbye to his Jiji, and Neko-chan he unpacks his stuff into the Master Bedroom and Fills the Fridge before heading to bed for the night. The Following Morning he showers, and Makes a quick breakfast of Eggs and Toast, before heading to the Ninja Academy for the last time as a Student.
Arriving at the Academy he takes a Deep breath, walking through the Halls he catches a reflection of himself, Standing at 145cm the shortest in his class, he wearing mesh armour Top that goes down his arms just Below his elbows with Black Fingerless Gloves, he has Black Nail Polish on fingernails and toenails, he is wearing a open Dark Blue fabric Long Sleeveless windbreaker with a Hood on the back, he has Burnt Orange Trousers that go halfway down his shins with bandages wrapped around his shins tucked into Standard Black Sandals.
Walking into the classroom he realises that he isn't the first they like normal Sasuke is, looking out of the Window like normal Naruto moves to take his normal Seat at the back of the classroom next to the window as well. Sasuke doesn't even acknowledge him. He takes a Seat and looks out of the window and waits.
Eventually over the next 30 minutes everyone filters in and as Normal he gets the Stink Eye from Shikamaru and he doesn't know why shikamaru doesn't like him. She hears the Banshee of Sasuke Fanclub Ino and Sakura, and that's when he choose to have some fun and quickly moves and sits next to Sasuke, Kiba Noticing what he is doing sits next to him and a few more boys follow suit, as for when they bust in they see a Line of boys Sitting next to Sasuke and Instantly Deflate and they are forced to sit together. Sasuke Cracking a Small Smile.
Eventually Iruka comes in and begins to give a Speak about the Will of Fire before going over the Team, the First 6 aren't that interesting, "Team 7 Uchiha Sasuke, Haruno Sakura and Inuzuka Kiba, Jonin Hatake Kakashi" that getting a Mix reaction, "Team 8 Kurama Yakumo, Hyuga Hinata and Aburame Shino, Jonin Yuki Kurenai," that getting a possessive reaction from Hinata and Yakumo, he skip team 9, "Team 10 Nara Shikamaru, Akimichi Choji and Yamanaka Ino, Jonin Saratobi Asuma." getting the reaction Naruto Expected, "he then continues to speak, "Team 11, still in rotation and finally Team 12 Uzumaki Naruto, Taki Dansu, and Yajirushi Azula, Jonin Zettai Ran." Naruto Looks over at his two Teammates who are sitting next to each other and shares a look before looking at Naruto Slightly Disappointed, but Naruto doesn't take it personally, he just Shrugs.
"Your Jonin Sensei will be here at 1pm, so for now you have a Two hour Lunch. Dismissed." Naruto is the first to move, he walks over to his two Teammates, "Taki Dansu, and Yajirushi Azula," he says they look at him, "wanna Eat on the roof and get to know each other better before meeting our Sensei?" he asks the two and they both just nod.
Ninja Academy Roof
As the 3 Get to the Roof Naruto Studys the Two, Taki Dansu, a Slender Girl stood at 148cm with White Hair that goes down her back stopping at her lower back, she has Red Piercing Eyes, she is wearing a Red Sleeveless Crop top with Long Black Fingerless Gloves that go up her Arms, Dark Gray Leggings that go mid way down her shins with black Ninja Sandals, she Wore her Red Ninja Headband around her waist, with a Gray Waist cape attached.
Yajirushi Azula , a Slender Girl stood at 149.4cm with Long Blond Hair goes down her back ending at her bottom, she has deep Blue Eyes, she also has White Paper Earrings with the Kanji of her Clan Name on them 'Yajirushi', Similar to Dansu she wears a Black Sleeveless Crop Top but it has Mess Armour poking out from underneath it, Black skin tight Arm Warmers tucked into Red Fingerless Gloves, she has a Red Cloth Belt, Baggy Trouser that go to her upper Shin just above the knee, with She wears open-toed, strappy red sandals with White high heels Souls. And her Headband Hung over her Cloth Belt.
As the three Sit down on the roof, the two girls look slightly uncomfortable, Naruto is the first to speak, "I'm guessing I'm not what you wanted on your team?" he asks and Azula speaks first her voice Soft, "No, Like most Girls we wanted Uchiha-san," she tells him.
Hearing this he is confused, "Uchiha-san and not Sasuke-kun, Like all the other Girls?" that gets a Giggle from Dansu, "sorry we Aren't really fangirl, yes I would say we have a Crush on Uchiha-san, because he is cute, but he is kind of a Dry Sponge personality wise." she says in a soft but firm Voice, that gets Naruto to laugh, he covers his mouth so as for it to not be loud, a habit he picked up to not stand out.
This is when the two Girls notice that his Fingernails are painted, and Azula comments on it, "Uzumaki-san do you paint your nails?" she asks, and naruto kind of rubs his head, "Yes, Yajirushi-san. When I was younger I bit my nails, and I read that a way to stop is to paint your nails and it worked, but I kind of just continued it." Dansu leans forward, "can I have a look?" an odd request but Naruto shows them his hand and she looks kind of Jealous. With a Slight pout, she Mumbles "They look so good, I didn't even get to do mine this morning." with Azula commenting "Same." Slightly Jealous as well.
That gets Naruto to smile, before he reaches around in to a Small hidden pouch in his Windbreaker, and pulls out three bottles of Nail polish and a Bottle of Nail polish sealer, the two look at him confused, "you don't know when you are going to need it or if i'm running late and don't have time to do it I used to do it a lunch." he tells them. And with a Smile they each take a bottle, Dansu takes a Blue colour and Azula takes a red Colour. They study the bottles and see that they are the expensive, high quality stuff, and Naruto tells them, "they were a part of a Gift set from a Friend." and they take his word for it. As they start to do their Nails and get to know each other, Well what brands of Make up they like.
From a distance they Jonin Sensei Zettai Ran watches with a Smile on his face. "They Pass, but I'll see if they pass my true Ninja test, I'm just glad the Hokage approved it." he says before Vanishing in a Swirl of Leaves.
Classroom - After Lunch
After Lunch everyone makes their way back to the classroom only Team 8,10 and 12 end up sitting together. A few minutes later a group of Jonin Enter following Iruka, "Ok everyone, In Front of you are those of your Jonin Sensei, When I call you, you will leave with your Sensei." Ran steps forward First, "Team 12 With me, and a Word of Advice to team 7, I hope you brought a book because you Sensei Kakashi will be late." he says as team 12 get up and follow the man out."
The Rest of the Jonin snicker to themselves before composing themselves as one by one the teams leave, leaving Team 7, Uchiha Sasuke, Haruno Sakura and Inuzuka Kiba with Akamaru, that's when Kiba pulls out a pack of Cards, and starts to play solitaire, Sakura tries to pester Sasuke for a Date and Sasuke pulls out and starts to read a Jutsu Stroll. They don't know why but they feel like today is going to be a long day.
Training Ground 36 - River Training Ground
Getting to the Training ground the 3 fresh genin was sort of Surprised when seeing that all it really is apart from a lot of forest, their training Field is only about 15% Ground the rest being Rivers and Streams Intersecting each other. Ran stands in front of them a Neutral Look on his face studies he three students, before for speaking in his Deep Voice, "As of today we are Team 12, Normally they would be True Genin Test to determine if I would keep you as my squad, but the Test is ridiculous and pointless it to see if you are capable of working together, but any Monkey with a Rock can work together when needed." He tells them.
"So for now we are going to get to know each other. I'll go first, I'm Zettai Ran and yes I know my name means Absolute Chaos or Chaos Absolute, my Parents were funny like that. My Likes are Training, and Cooking. My hobbies are Reading History, and War Fiction. My Dislikes are Those who know how to show respect and those who treat others like Garbage. My Dream or Goal is to make you three capable Ninja." he tells them before looking at Naruto, "Uzumaki-san you are next and maybe it's time you drop your Transformation."
"Yes Zettai-sensei," the Blond says, Releasing his Transformation, his once Blond Spiky Hair, Blue Eye, Whiskered face is now got, his Skin Smooth and Whisker free, his once blue Eyes now a Light Purple framed with a bit of Eyeliner and his Blond Spiky hair now a Smooth Red that is Shaved on the Sides and back but brushed over to his Left side of his face that goes down to his Shoulder, his two team mades look shocked, he is almost unrecognisable, "It feels weird not having my mask on, but I'm Uzumaki Naruto, I'm named after Ramen Topping according to my Jiji, My likes are Training and People Watching. My hobbies are Gardening and learning new things. My Dislikes are People who judge others before knowing them. And my dream is to restore the Uzumaki Clan and to Create a Group that Rivals the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist." The Now Redette tells them.
His two Teammates look confused, before Azula asks, "Uzumaki-san, what is the Uzumaki clan?" but Ran speaks before Naruto does, "Do you kids not know your History?" he asks genuinely confused, "I can answer that Sensei," Naruto says, "I asked Hokage-Sama yesterday, when he informed me about my clan, the Former Civilian counsel removed it from the history of Konoha because and I quote "why would we want our children to learn of a weak clan that got themselves killed" end quote." and Ran looks Angry, "but to answer your question Yajirushi-san, the Uzumaki Clan Were… Are… were one of Konoha's Royal clans without them the current hidden Village System wouldn't exist, it was the Uzumaki clan that brokered peace between the Uchiha Clan and Senju clan, the first Hokage's Wife was a Uzumaki. Uzumaki Mito, Princess of Uzu, I believe if i'm correct she was my Great, Great, Great, Great Aunt. so i'm related to that of Senju Tsunade, in more than one way as the Uzumaki Clan are cousins of the Senju Clan. but as for the reason they aren't more Uzumakis in Konoha we had our own Village, The Village Hidden by Whirling Tides, or Hidden Eddy Village, Uzushiogakure that was lead by the Uzumaki Clan. but sadly we were whipped out by a Combined forces of Kumo, Kiri and Iwa, it took a army of 10,000 Shinobi to take out the Uzu, a 1000 Uzumaki strong and we still took out 90% of the attackers." he finishes with a slightly sombre tone, and a look of Longing for a Family he will never know.
After a small Silance, Ran speaks again, "Indeed, the Uzumaki Clan were powerful, I once worked with another member of the clan, a Uzumaki Kushina, Naruto's Mother. The Red Hot-Blooded Habanero, a Woman that could make Barriers so strong could hold back a Tailed beast, During the Third Great Ninja War, she fought against the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the mist Single handedly and Wiped the floor with them. Now Yajirushi-san tell us about yourself."
Yajirushi Azula moves forwards and begins to speak in her Soft Voice, "im Yajirushi Azula, my name means Arrow Blue, My Likes are Learning new things, my Hobbies are people watching and Reading. My Dislikes are Fangirl and Rapists. My Goal is to turn my Clan from a Merchant Clan to a Shinobi clan."
Ran Nods, and thinks "Reasonable goal, probably hard to achieve since the Yajirushi clan is a Merchant clan." he then looks at the final member of team 12, "Taki-san?" she looks a bit nervous, "I'm Taki Dansu, my name means Waterfall Dancer," she says in a Soft Voice with a Hint of anger, possibly not liking her name, "my Likes are Learning new things. My hobbies are Gardening and cooking. My Dislikes are Fangirl and Rapists. And my Dream is to be seen as an inspiration for Clanless Kunoichi."
Ran Nods, "That's good all of you, so Tomorrow we will be taking our first Mission, it will be a Simple C rank mission, Normally Fresh faced Genin like yourself don't get to do missions like this for a while but I was taught that 'diamonds are made under pressure.' so this mission will see if you are made to be ninja." he tells them his Face in a Slight scowl, "but for now Prepare for tomorrow. Dismissed." he tells them as he then vanishes into a Swirl of Leaves, Leaving his new Genin there by themselves.
Uzumaki Compound few hours later
After parting with his new team Naruto chose to head for some Ramen, before heading home, Teuchi and Ayame were surprised to see that he had dropped his Persona but they greeted him and even gave him a bowl on the house for becoming a ninja.
After hanging around with them for a while he headed by to his new home, Arriving he decided to head to that of the study, placing blood on the seal the Seal unlocked and the door opens to show a room that is smaller than the thought it would be with a Desk, with a Leather Chair and Bookcase, but he does notice door that shouldn't be they.
Walking towards it opens it up seeing a Staircase, walking down it he finds a Room that instantly Brightens up the moment he enters and he can't tell where the light is coming from, looking around he sees a room Fills wall to wall with Scrolls Looks through some of them he notices some Jutsu but he doesn't want to invest any time into anything yet till he finds out what he is going to be learning from his sensei.
Putting everything back and Leaving the Room, he reseals the door to his study before heading to bed.
Meanwhile Land of Lightning
In a the Land of Lightning Tsunade currently in a 5 star hotel payed by the Raikage After she saved the life of one of his subordinates is currently Pacing in her room, her Assistant and Apprentice Shizune sitting on a Bed with her Pet Pig Tonton, is listening to Tsunade Ramble, after receiving a letter from the Third Hokage, with a Letter from Naruto Attached.
"What if it says he doesn't want anything to do with me? And don't care that I'm even his Godmother or Related to him because I abandoned him. What If…" but she gets cut off by Shizune, "Lady Tsunade, I've been listening to you say the same thing for the past 2 days since it was sent. From what Lord Hokage has told us about him he isn't the type." She reasons with her mentor.
With a Sigh, she knows Shizune is right but the fear is still they, she got over her Hemophobia for the day she would return to Konoha, but she could never build up the courage, with the scroll in her hand she looks at it one more time, "your right, well no time like the Present." She says as she opens the scroll.

I think this is how you start a Letter I have never sent one before. Today I passed the Ninja Academy and became a Fully Fledged Shinobi of the Hidden Leaf Village, and Tomorrow I found out who my Jonin Sensei is. I don't really know who's team I will be on as I ranked about middle so I'm not the Dope like your Teammate Lord Jiraiya. 8 years ago I learnt that I was the jinchuriki from Danzo-Jiji where he told me about the thing he did to me revealing my status, I should have Hated him for it but I couldn't bring myself too, they is enough Hate in this world and I don't want to add to it. He promised me he would convince the Hiruzen-jiji to tell me about my Mother and her clan when I became a Genin and he has. So I just want to tell you I don't Hate you, he told me the reason you aren't in the Village and I understand, but If you want to come and Visit I wouldn't be opposed to it you wouldn't even have to stay, but I would love to meet you in Person.

The Letter reads and she tears up before weekly saying, "Shizune tomorrow we head home."
Following Day - 5 miles outside of Konoha
Team 12 make their way towards a Small Farming two that has been plagued with Wolves recently, the team is a bit nervous to be outside of the town but understand what they sensei is doing. After meeting the Clients they head towards the forest where the Wolf Tracks, with Naruto pointing out where the Wolves are coming and going from because of his Skill tracking and hunting already.
Moving their way through the Forest the team is tense, "Remember to breathe, it can help Calm your nerves." They Sensei says. Naruto notices that the Tracks are vanishing, "everyone be Careful, the Wolves know we are hunting them," he tells his team, Ran-sensei vanishes to let the kids deal with it.
Palming a two Kunai Naruto gets ready he doesn't know why but he can feel the Wolves in front of him, Throwing the kunai at the Wolves, two jump out going for Dansu and Azula, who freeze they fight or Flight completely taking over working against them, Naruto can feel they are frozen, Drawing two more Turns and Throws the Kunai killing the Wolves, as the Third and Final Wolf Rushes Naruto from behind this wolf Bigger than the Other two, Ran can feel what feels like Chakra coming off it, "a Chakra awakened Wolf!" he thinks but he is two far from his students to intercept in time.
Naruto feels a Ping behind him and turns his Eyes for a second becoming slits. Moving his arm up to block the Bite of the Wolf as it Bites down on Naruto's Arm, Staring into the now snarling Wolves maw, Naruto pulls out a kukri hunting knife, a Gift he got of Danzo-jiji stabbing it into the Wolf Killing it, the Jaws releasing Naruto lets out a breathe he didn't realise he was hunting.
He turns to his teammates "are you two ok?" he asks the Blood running down his arm, Snapping them out of shock as they shout, "NARUTO!" As they rush to check on him, Azula Starts to tear up as Dansu, begins to tend to his arm, Azula starts saying "sorry," over and over again, Naruto brings her into a One armed hug.
"It's ok, Yajirushi-san. It's ok." he tells her, now crying into his windbreaker, As Dansu, finishers wrapping his arm she also starts crying, and he brings her in as well "its ok, im fine. It's better that your Instincts kick in on Animal when our sensei is with us, then when he isn't." he says rubbing their backs, they Sensei Watching from a Distance. He closes his Eyes, "I hope Danzo-dono Teachings apply here." he thinks.
Flashback - 42 years ago
Battlefield, bodies lining the Ground, a Young and Fresh genin Zettai Ran stands covered in blood of his enemies, a Young Danzo places his hand on his Shoulder, "Young Chaos, remember this 'diamonds are made under pressure.' and you, my boy will Shine." his Jonin Sensei tells him, he looks over the bodies once more, noticing that of a few leaf Shinobi.
Present Day - Konoha Hokages Tower
After checking over his Team and giving them a Break before heading back to the Client then back to Konoha, and Naruto's two female teammates insisting that he goes to the hospital and caving in because of the Stare they gave him that reminds him of Ayame-chans 'Do what I say Stare', he caves and heads off to the hospital with them, because they know that he wouldn't go if he was left to his own Devices.
Currently Ran is in the Hokage's office with the other Jonin giving their Briefing on whether or not their teams passed. 10 Jonins in a Room with the Hokage and his Main Adviser Danzo. "Team 1 Fail", "Team 2 Fail", "Team 3 Fail", "Team 4 Fail", "Team 5 Fail," "Team 6 Pass" and all Eyes go that of Gekko Hayate, "an All Civilian team passed? explain." the Hokage Asks, "Hai Hokage-sama," the man says after Coughing, "my Team, Jo Hoshi, Tsukamoto Aya, Miura Kiyoko. An all Kunoichi team passed, Tsukamoto Aya showed Leadership talents and pulled them together." he says before stepping back. "Train them well Hayate-kun," the Kage tells him, before looking at Kakashi.
"Team 7 Passed, Barely, if it wasn't for the second part of the test and Kiba Offering Food to Sakura, and Sasuke following I wouldn't have passed them." he says almost lazily. "Good to know, but make sure you train them in more than just teamwork, Kakashi-kun." the Hokage says and Kakashi nods. He then looks towards Kurenai, "Team 8 Passed, they figured it out instantly and passed." she says proud. And the kage just nods before looking at his son, "Team 10, Failed." he say and everyone looks shocked, "but i'm still going to keep them, I just need to force them into fighting shape." he tells everyone and they instantly understand why they failed, Nara's are lazy, Akimichi tend to follow Nara's and Yamanaka try to rangul the two together but often fails.
"Thank you everyone, you are dismissed except for Zettai-san," and everyone else leaves. "How was your mission?" he asks. "Completed but Poor on my part, I may have misjudged my team slightly as Taki-san and Yajirushi-san both Froze and Naruto saved them but received a Bite on his arm, he is ok but my two Kunoichis insist on taking him to get checked out." he tells them. "As long as they are fine, what are you Worried about?" Hiruzen asks.
"I'm Worried that Taki-san and Yajirushi-san have had their confidence shaken and it may take a while to recover if they do at all. I thought that 'diamonds are made under pressure.' but not everyone is Coal." he tells the Kage and his Former Sensei. "Why don't we check on them then?" the Hokage says, pulling out his crystal ball.
The ball shows the genin of Team 12, leaving the hospital. "Sorry Uzumaki-san," Dansu says to him for what feels like the 100th time today, coursing Naruto to stop, and turn to look at them. "That enough both of you, your Fight or Flight Instinct kicked in and you froze, it isn't uncommon that it happens, but when it does it take some extreme will power to over power it, the first time it happened to me I was attacked by a Drunk Villager who say a Kid as an easy target," Winces remembering the instant, "if it wasn't for an Anbu member in a Ox mask I would have been seriously hurt." he puts his hands on they shoulders, "you can't blame yourselves because if you do you will only judge yourself for the rest of your life, i'll give you a bit of advice that the Anbu gave me, 'Remember there's nothing wrong with feeling Fear, Afterall how else would we come to know our own weakness, you need to know them in order to become a Stronger person'." he finishes telling them that and they take it to heart. "Now how about we go and get something to eat, to Celebrate our first Mission as team 12?" he says with a Smile that draws the two of them in, "also call me Naruto," he tells them, "Azula then," their Blond Teammate tells him, "Dee, not Dansu" The White Haired teammate tells him. Naruto Smiles, "Ok, Dee, Azula, Ramen?"
It is then when the Kage cancels his crystal Ball, "I think you have nothing to worry about, Young Chaos." Danzo says with a Smile using the Nickname he has his Student.
Ichiraku Ramen
After leaving the Hospital and having a quick heart to heart with his team, they head to that of Naruto's favourite eatery Ichiraku Ramen, upon Arrival they are greeted by Ayame who gives Naruto a hug, that getting him a look off the two girls as they always thought Naruto was the loner type how wouldn't be good with the opposites sex.
"Im Fine, Ayame-chan," he tells the girl, "doesnt mean im not going to worry about you going off on missions," eventually letting him go, before she turns to his teammates, "right," forgetting about them for a minute, "Ayame-chan these are my Teammates, Taki Dansu," gesturing to the Whiteette, "and Yajirushi Azula," gesturing to the Bloneette.
Ayame looks the two over this Slightly judgemental Eye, the two getting nervous, before she Smiles "im Ichi Ayame, Daughter of Ichi Teuchi, owner of Ichiraku Ramen, Welcome." she says with a Warm and Welcoming Slime, that just makes the two girls' nerves wash away.
As they finally sit down a Older man Exits from the back Smiling, "I thought I heard you, my boy, and who is this you brought with you?" she asks with a Smile just as welcoming as his Daughters, "hey, Teuchi-oyaji, these are my teammates, Taki Dansu," gesturing to the Whiteette, "and Yajirushi Azula," gesturing to the Bloneette.
"Any Teammate or Friend of Naruto's is always welcome here, First Bow is in the house, so what can I get you three?" asking with the same warm smile, getting them to Smile back the nervous energy now gone, "I'll have a Large Uzumaki Special," Naruto tells him with a 300 kw smile, as the Two Girls look over the menu, before Dansu speaks first, "can I get a Medium Seafood Ramen?" Azula then speaks, "Large Pork Ramen please." she tells him.
Teuchi Smiling before heading into the back to begin making the ramen. As team 12 are sitting there waiting for their food, Azuka turns to Naruto to ask a question that has been on her since he told them about the time he was attacked.
"Naruto," she says, getting the boy's attention, "I was curious about what you said earlier, about being attacked, you make it sound like that wasn't the only time." Naruto looking at her, keeping a Neutral face waits for a second before replying, "It wasn't, I can trust both of you, so i'll tell you, I was the only Baby born on October 10th, the day of the kyuubi instant, and because of that a lot and I mean a lot of the Villagers think I am the Kyuubi Reborn." he tells them and they Eyes go wide.
"What?!" she says surprised, "are people Stupid?" Dansu says equally surprised, and that gets Naruto to laugh, "Fear is a Strange thing," he tells them, "but I don't really blame people, for how they act, I should but" he pause for a moment, "they is enough hate in this world, and just adding to it would make me just as worse as those who Hate me, for something I cannot control."
After hearing that they feel like they know Naruto a bit better, and gain a new found level of trust in him, someone who can go through this world, being constantly Hated for something beyond their control and still want to help people, is someone truly strong.
It goes back silent for a bit but Naruto breaks the Silence this time, wanting to know a bit more about his two teammates, "how about we get to know each other a bit better?" he says to them, "2 questions Each?" he said to them. The two look at each other already knowing each other for a While but don't see the harm in this.
"I'll go First," the Redette says, "Dee, how long have you and Azula been friends for?" he starts with a Simple Question, Dansu has to think for a Second, "First day of the Academy, we got seated next to each other both of us shy, I remembered what my Brother said, 'Try to make friends with the person next to you, it's always better to have friends when being a ninja, so you will always know who has your back.' So I did and we have been friends Since." she says looking at Naruto, Azula Smiling Fondly.
"Ok Naruto," Dansu said, "my question, why do you Hide your True hair colour and Hair?" she asks and Naruto can feel the Eyes of Ayame on him as he always refused to tell her, "Well, When my hair started to go red, I liked it, i've never liked the Yellow hair, but when Hiruzen-Jiji and Danzo-Jiji noticed, they sat me down and told me that if my hair Keeps changing like it was it could draw attention to myself that could put me in danger, so I used a Henge to hide the transformation, turns out since I have more chakra than most full Fledged Jonin's my Henge isn't an illusion it's a fiscal transformation so as long as I have chakra its permanent, so I was able to hide it perfectly." he finishes telling them.
"I still don't Understand." Dansu says, "I told you about my Clan Yesterday didn't I? The Uzumaki Clan," he asks and she nods, "thats why, The Uzumaki Clan were known for a few things , they Mastery of Fuinjutsu, Kenjutsu, they extremely dense Chakra, they long Lives because of they dense Chakra and they Blood Red Hair. it is a common Sign someone is an Uzumaki." he tells them, "plus we the clan had thousands of Enemies, and my mother had hundreds. It was for my protection."
"I can see that but it must suck Hiding a part of yourself." Azula says and Naruto just nods. "So Naruto, my Question time." Azula says with a cheeky smile, "So who was it that gave you that expensive Makeup set?" and Naruto turns to Ayame who is blushing, "it was a good birthday Gift, and he really suits make-up with the way he styles his hair." Ayame says with a Slight pout, that getting team 12 to laugh.
"Ok my Last Question, Azula, Dee, What type of Ninja do you want to be?" he asks, "personally I want to be more Stealthy, like a Stealthy Kenjutsu Assassin." he tells them. Dansu is the first to answer, "it might sound Weird but I've always wanted to be a Medic, but as for fighting I'm more of a Mid Range Fighter." and the two nod, "similar to you Naruto but instead of Close Range, Long Range instead, I might see about a Bow."
But before any more questions can be asked, Teuchi Arrives with food. "Enjoy!" he says with his signature smile, as the Team Dig in to they food, about half way through Teichi has a Idea to get more permanent customers, "you know If you make Ichiraku Ramen team 12 Official hang out, adding a Small Ichiraku Ramen band on your Arms, to promote us, 50% off all meals." he say and he already knows Naruto would but his teammates are different he knows that this is going to be a hard sell to them, "I could even Throw in one Free meal per Visit."
With that thrown in Naruto definitely wouldn't say no, but his two female teammates are smarter than him and can tell what Teichi is doing so Azula speaks for them, with her Merchant background she can tell what Teuchi is thinking, "That is a very Kind offer, Ichi-san, but for this we would have to consult all of Team 12 including our Jonin Sensei, but if you would allow us to talk it over with him, i'm sure we can get you a answer by the end of the week."
Everyone can swear that a bolt of electricity shooted out of both Azula and Teuchi as they had somewhat of a fierce silent battle. "I'll allow it," Teuchi says as Azula continues her Ramen.
Following Day - Uzumaki Compound
After returning home Naruto Passed out on his couch, only to wake up at 3am Wide awake, he knows he doesn't have a team meeting today so after making some breakfast he heads into the Uzumaki Volt and starts going through scrolls to see what he can learn.
He finds quite a few things that interest him one is a set of Sword Techniques Called 'Counter Blade', a Style that revolve around Countering, but what it's full of of Quick Kill Assassination Counter, the Style is normally used with a Katana or a Tanto but Naruto wants to use that of a Jain Sword and Knifes, pulling out a note book he begins to make notes one how to do it. After a few hours he exits the Study and checks the times, seeing it is that of 8 am he knows where he needs to go Konoha Shinobi Bank.
Training Ground 36 - Early Afternoon
After heading to Konoha Shinobi Bank after finally gaining access to that of his Family's funds he is shocked on how much money there is, having over ninety billion Ryo in his bank account but then remembering that the Uzumaki clan was an extremely powerful and Rich Clan.
After taking some money out and headed towards one of Konoha's Shopping District heading to that of a well known Shinobi armoury called 'Rising Banners' entering the store he was greeted by that of a Nice Girl he remembers from the academy Tenten how graduated last year, after catching up he buy that of his First 'Jain Sword' a simple Black Leather Jianba, With a Steel Jiantan with a Orange Jianpao, a Simple Steel hushou, Long double Steel Blade with that of a Black Leather Jianqiao to place it in.
And with Naruto not being the Tallest he has it strung over his back. He also ends up picking up 6 more kukri hunting knives, along with 3 Packs of Throwing Knives. Sealing the knives into a Scroll and saying goodbye to Tenten he heads to his team's training ground to do a bit of Solo training since they don't have a team meeting till tomorrow.
Taking his Sword out he swings it a few times getting used to the feel of the Blade, the weight and reach. He then pulls out the notebook that he used to make notes in on the 'Counter Blade' style looking over the Basic Katas, he practises for 3 hours and he thinks he can do the Basic Counter, putting his Blade away he starts waving hand Seals before spitting out a Pump of Mud that becomes a copy of himself 'Earth Release: Mud Clone'.
Naruto Smile he always liked using the Mud Clone, as it was a Semi-autonomous Clone, it followed Order and could even do some basic Jutsu but it had a Fixed amount of Chakra, but in Naruto's opinion the best part was when it is "Killed" if the attacker used a Blade or they hand or body it would get stuck into the Mud that made the clone up, If Naruto choose it to act like that.
Him and the Clone get into a Fighting Stance, Blades in hand, and they begin to fight Naruto getting used to the way the blade feels against another blade and After few minutes he feels confident that he can use the counter then they blades clash, Naruto makes sure he is stronger Swiping the Clones blade down towards the ground he then brings the sword back with speed, Slicing the Clone in half, Killing it. Naruto pants a bit after finishing the fight, but quickly composes himself creating another Clone, to begin the Process all over again.
Up in a nearby tree a Purple Hair Anbu is watching with an amused look on her face, under that of her Cat Mask, Neko aka Uzuki Yugao, The Sword Mistress of Konoha, Master of the Luna Ferrum Fighting Style (Luna Blade). Watching Naruto fighting Mud Clones of himself is interesting to watch she could only Imagine what he would be able to do if he know the Shadow Clone Jutsu, Watching him fight Clone after Clone is interesting she know what as she watches him Cut down the 9 Mud Clone he looks happy, only for the Tenth to counter him stopping his Streak.
She Watches Naruto Grumble before starting again, she feels the Branch next to her move and senses that of Zettai Ran, "Ran-Sensei, How are you?" she asks while still watching the Redette, "im fine, Little Luna." he says calling her by her nickname similar to how Danzo calls him his Favourite Student. "How long has Uzumaki-San been Practising?" Ran Asks her in his Deep Voice.
"About 30 minutes, I followed him from the bank to that of 'Rising Banners' after being in the Store for 20 minutes he came straight here," Yugao tells him, as they watch him they see him cut through 13 Mud Clones before Failing on the 14th. They watch him get annoyed with himself, as he takes a Drink of Water before continuing, "'The Difference between a Master and a Novice is that the Master has Failed more times than the Novice has Tried.' Uzumaki-san is Clearly a hands-on Learner, That will be useful when training him." he says out loud.
They end up watching him for the next 6 hours and him Killing 409 Clones he finally Kills his 100th Clone in a Row and he cheers, "YATTA!" he then laughs after woulds, "I might be able to use it in a Really battle now," he says with a Smile, as he then hears his stomach Scream at him, "I wonder if Jiji wants to go to Yakiniku Q, some Meat after Training sounds Nice." he says before rushing off.
Yugao and Ran are still Watching, "Well Little Luna, what do you think of, Uzumaki-san?" He asked his Favourite Student, "Naruto-Kun is interesting. From all my interactions with him, he is Smart, has Natural Battle Instincts, and Is a Prodigy of Hard work, and not in the terms of the so-called Prodigy now, a True Prodigy." She tells her Former Sensei. Who just nods, "If I can Clear it with the Hokage-sama, would it be possible for you to give Uzumaki-san a few Kenjutsu Lessons?" and Yugao Lights up, and nods.
Following Day
Team 12 after they day off they meet up at they Training Ground, looking Fresh Faced and ready to learn, Ran, Looking down at his students with a stoic expression, "Greets," he says to them, "today we are going to beginning our new schedule, everyday except for Sundays we will be meeting here at 0630, we will be training till 1130, then from 1130 to 1230 we will be having lunch then from 1230 to 1800 we will be doing missions. After that it is your own time you can either call it a day or come back here and Train but if you come back here to train only till 2000 we don't want to Burn yourselves out." he tells his team.
Naruto, Dansu and Azula, nod as he is finished talking, "Now before we start, is there anything you want to discuss or say?" he asks knowing that new Genin are normally Reserved, that gets Naruto to clear his throat, "do have Something," he says pulling out a Storage Scroll, he rolls it out and unseals that of 3 kukri hunting knives, "I was reading the History of the Uzumaki Clan, and one of they Traditions when Forming Teams with Non Uzumaki Clan members is to give the members a Weapon for Safe. So yesterday when I bought my Sword I picked up kukri hunting knives for each of you." he says handing them out to his new team, the Hilts of the Blades have that of the Uzumaki swirl carved into the handle.
Looking over at the Blades, the team is touched, their team Leader Cracks a Genuine smile, "thank you, Uzumaki-san. I can add this to our Team's Training regime." The two Female members give him a quick hug and a thank you, and Naruto just smiles.
Chapter 1 - End
And that is the end of the First and I don't know if it's going to be the only chapter of "Out of Sight out of Mind" as it was a Challenge I did for a friend.
