Prompt: Scarf
Fandom: Supernatural
Pairing: Sam Winchester x OFC
Katherine had to admit, it was a fun night. Sam had insisted that she should go with him to a dinner party at his friend Donna's house, and if at first she was worried they might not like her or that she would feel like the odd one out, by the end of it she felt the exact opposite. They all had made her feel like family, even if she and Sam had only been dating for a couple of weeks.
It was the end of the night, Sam and Katherine had said their goodbyes and were walking out of the house to Sam's car when Katherine asked him if he wanted to go for a walk. He smiled and said he would love to, signaling for her to lead the way, even though it was a cooler night than usual.
As they walked further and further away from Donna's house, making jokes and talking about Katherine's first impressions of Dean and their friends, Sam noticed that the night was getting chilly, and that Katherine was starting to feel it. Grabbing a small scarf from his back pocket, one he had retrieved from his car before they began their walk, he unfolded it and gently placed it around Katherine's neck, turning her to him in the process.
Thanking him and giving him a small, shy, smile, Sam couldn't resist how beautiful she looked and leaned in for a kiss. Her lips were soft against his and tasted sweet, something he knew he would never get tired of. He felt her kissing him back, her hands on his chest while his were still holding the two ends of the scarf.
Pulling away to catch their breath, Sam leaned his head down, his forehead resting against hers, and a smile on both their faces. Straightening up, he heard Katherine say that if he wanted to kiss her, he didn't have to use the scarf as an excuse, which made him laugh.
Rearranging the scarf around her neck, this time Sam grabbed her waist and pulled her close before kissing her again, just a quick kiss, before telling her he knew he didn't need an excuse, making her chuckle.
They resumed their walk, this time going back to Donna's home where Sam's car was still parked. As they walked hand in hand, Sam had to admit that he was falling for Katherine a lot faster than he thought he would. They had decided to take things slow, but he couldn't deny that they fit perfectly together. Still, he wasn't going to say anything, not until he was sure that Katherine was on the same page as he was.
By his side, Katherine kept thinking back on the kiss they had just shared. She knew she had agreed to take things slow, but after that kiss, she wasn't so sure about it. It had only been a couple of weeks since they started dating but for some reason whenever she was close to him, she felt herself falling for him harder and harder each day, that night just proving her point. She could feel they fitted perfectly with each other, and she wanted to see if Sam felt the same, so she had an idea, one she would put into play when he drops her off at her house.
Yes, Katherine had to admit, it definitely has been and was going to be a fun night.
