Day Eighteen - Hogsmeade

The trio admire the village of Hogsmeade from The Three Broomsticks.

It was the final Hogsmeade weekend before Christmas. Some student were busy doing some last minute shopping, and others were just going to enjoy the decorations that had been put up throughout the village.

There were large fairy lights strung over the streets, small Christmas trees planted outside each shop, all decorated differently, and the snow that had settled over the village completed the picture. It looked like the perfect Christmas village.

Harry, Ron and Hermione had bought a few last minute things, got themselves a few things from Honeydukes, and then headed straight for the Three Broomsticks.

The inside of the pub was decorated with garlands and fairy lights. A large tree stood in one corner, blocking a few of the tables from view and giving the occupants of them good views of the street outside.

The trio fetched some butter beers from the bar and sat themselves at one of the tables by the windows, hidden by the tree, and watched their fellow students wander through the streets of Hogsmeade. They enjoyed watching the village occupants walking around casually, enjoying their weekend, and there was Christmas music sounding throughout the pub, putting them all in a cheerful mood.

'There really is no place like Hogsmeade at Christmas, is there?' Hermione asked them both. They'd been sat down for a while and had a few butter beers each. Apparently Hermione's drinks had made her much more festive. She sat there with a slightly flushed face, gazing out the window lovingly at the village.

Harry and Ron shared amused grins.

'No, there really isn't,' Ron said fondly, draping his arm over her shoulders and staring out the window over her head.
