Day Twenty-Three - Jumpers

Mrs Weasley always makes jumpers for family members and friends, but she's never had one herself. Until now.

The Weasley's had got together early to celebrate Christmas, as not everyone would be around on Christmas Day.

They had decided to do a gift exchange as well, and on Christmas Day, whoever was left would just enjoy a Christmas dinner and each other's company.

As expected, Hermione received a few books, and gave a few. Bill and Fleur received gifts for baby Victoire and Teddy received quite a few toys, and, as always, everyone received a classic Weasley jumper from Molly.

After everyone had finished opening their gifts, Hermione, Ginny and Fleur exchanged glances before Fleur pulled out a beautifully wrapped gift and gave it to Molly.

'Mrs Weasley, we all want you to know how much we appreciate the effort you put in to our jumpers every year,' Hermione began.

'And we wanted to do something special for you,' Fleur continued.

'So, we worked together, since none of us alone are really very good at this kind of thing,' Ginny told her mum, 'and made you a jumper to match.'

Mrs Weasley unwrapped the gift in her lap to find a brand new jumper that, for once, she hadn't made herself. It was purple with a large red 'M' in the middle.

'We figured since it came from us three the 'M' could count as 'mum', 'Molly', and 'Mrs Weasley',' Ginny told her.

Mrs Weasley was quiet for a minute as she ran the jumper through her hands, admiring it with tears in her eyes.

'Girls, thank you so much!' She gushed, standing up to come and give each girl a hug. 'This is so lovely, thank you for putting to much work into it.'

'Way to make the rest of us look bed,' Fred joked from behind Ginny.

'Yeah, now we're all gonna have to make her a jumper every year,' George laughed.

'Oh boys, don't be silly,' Mrs Weasley laughed.

'Well, I think we should all take a picture together in our new jumpers,' Arthur suggested, standing up to go and get the camera from the other room.

Everyone stood up and started to gather together in front of the sofa.

'Okay, get ready everyone,' Arthur told them as he set up the camera to take the picture and then rushed to get himself in the frame.

'Smile everyone,' Molly shouted.

The camera flashed as it took the picture, and everyone went to go and take their seats again as Arthur put the camera away.

'Send us a copy of that when you get it developed, Dad,' Bill said from his seat. There was a general murmur of agreement from everyone.

'Don't worry, I'll get a copy for everyone,' Arthur told them.

A week later, the picture was developed and Arthur and Molly sent out the copies to everyone, framing their own and hanging it above the fireplace. There they all were, in their new Christmas jumpers, Mrs Weasley included, waving and smiling cheerfully at the camera.
