Day Twenty-Seven - Leftovers
Ron flips out when he finds out someone else has eaten his Christmas dinner leftovers sandwich. Molly has to calm him down by explaining she has plenty more left overs to make him another one.
A/N: That's right, it's another Christmassy one shot inspired by an episode of Friends!
'Okay, who the hell ate my sandwich?' Ron queried angrily, storming into the living room from the kitchen.
'What sandwich?' Asked George innocently.
'My Christmas dinner leftovers sandwich!'
'Ron, calm down,' Ginny told her brother sternly. It was only a bloody sandwich after all, and a gross one at that.
'What, prey tell, is a Christmas dinner leftovers sandwich?' Asked Fred unhelpfully. Everyone knew he was just trying to rile Ron up, because they all knew the sandwiches contents from years of him having them. It didn't stop Ron from falling into the trap.
'It's turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce with a slice of gravy soaked bread in the middle!'
Ron was clearly getting more irate by the second, but the twins were having too much fun to try and stop him having a temper tantrum.
'Now who ate my sandwich?'
'Now that you mention it, I do remember seeing such a sandwich lying around earlier,' Fred pondered, stroking his chin in mock thought.
'Yes, I too, remember seeing such a sandwich,' George copied his twin.
'So you two ate it?' Ron raged.
'Now, now, dear brother, we never said we ate it,' Fred told him.
'We simply said we saw it,' George concluded unhelpfully.
'So who. Ate. It?' Ron demanded.
'What are you complaining about Ron?' Percy asked as he walked into the room and took a seat.
'My Christmas dinner leftovers sandwich!' He shouted. 'Someone ate it and I'm trying to find out who!'
'You mean the one you left on the table with a note next to it that said "Ron's sandwich"?' Percy clarified.
'Yes!'
'Fred and George ate that, I saw them earlier,' Percy shrugged. He was clearly unaware of how angry Ron was.
'You said you didn't eat it!' Ron turned on his town brothers.
'We never said that,' George said in mock offence.
'No, we said we remember seeing it, and we never said we did eat it -' Fred began.
'- but we also never said we didn't eat it,' George finished.
Harry, Ginny and Hermione braced themselves for Ron's rage to reach its fullest height.
'You two ate my sandwich? MY SANDWICH?' He exclaimed angrily.
'Yes. Yes we did,' the twins chorused.
'Why did you eat my sandwich? It had my name on it!'
'Relax, Ron, it's only a sandwich,' Ginny tried to get him to at least stop yelling.
'Only a sandwich? It's the best sandwich in existence and it was mine! And they ate it!' He pointed accusingly at Fred and George, who just sat there looking innocent.
It was then that Molly finally entered the room to find out what the racket was about.
'What on earth is going on in here?'
'Those two idiots ate my leftovers sandwich!'
'Ronald! Don't call your brothers idiots. It is just a sandwich and if you're that bothered about it I have plenty more leftovers to make you another one, just don't leave it to be eaten by someone else this time.' She told him.
'Thanks mum,' he finally began to calm down. 'I still can't believe they ate it though!'
'I know, dear, but what's done is done,' Molly told him calmly as she pulled him from the living room and into the kitchen. 'Now come on, I'll make you another one.'
There was a few moments of quiet before Fred spoke again.
'Bloody hell, it's only a sandwich.'
'Yeah, who knew someone could get so worked up over it?' George asked.
'It's Ron, you idiots, of course he's going to get worked up over someone eating his food. He eats like he'll never be allowed to eat again,' Ginny told them.
'I just don't understand why you had to rile him up,' Harry told them.
'Because it's funny,' Fred shrugged. 'What else can you do when someone gets annoyed at you for eating their food?'
'Not rile them up?' Ginny suggested sarcastically.
'No, that's not as fun,' George shook his head.
'You're all idiots,' Percy stated simply.
