Chapter 5

Victoria woke up early excited to start the day. She went into the kitchen are and opened the refrigerator. Finding a carton of orange juice she poured herself a glass and took out yoghurt. Food refreshment in hand, she went into the living room and turned on the TV, careful to keep the volume down and not wake up her Mom and Dad.

An hour or so later, Jess woke up from the sound of Victoria laughing and then hearing the faint sound from the TV. Needing to use the bathroom, she reluctantly extracted herself from Jimmy's arms holding her close and made a dash for the facilities. After washing up, she grabbed the terry cloth robe hanging behind the door and put it on to warm her naked body. It wasn't anywhere as nice as Jimmy keeping her warm, but it would have to do.

Jess walked over to the bed to check on her fiancée who was still asleep and then walked to the door and went into the living room. Victoria looked up and said "Good morning, Mom."

Jess went over to the couch and hugged her and said "Good morning, Victoria. Your Dad is still asleep."

Victoria nodded. "What are we going to do when Dad is at the conference?"

Jess responded while trying to keep a straight face. "Do math problems and work on your writing. You are missing school to be here."

Victoria pouted. "You can't be serious. We're in Disney World!"

Jess couldn't keep a straight face. "Of course I'm serious…. We're actually going out to have some serious fun!"

Victoria laughed with her and climbed on Jess' lap, giving her a kiss on the cheek. They stayed that way for a few minutes before Jess said "I need to make some coffee."

Victoria nodded and slid off her lap.

Once the coffee was made, Jess tip toed back into their bedroom carrying a cup of coffee to Jimmy just the way he liked it. Setting it down on the nightstand, she sat on the edge of the bed and leaned over to kiss him on the lips. Jimmy stirred and Jess kissed him again. Jimmy finally opened his eyes, the view of his future bride bringing a huge smile to his face. "G'morning beautiful."

"G'morning handsome. I brought you some coffee."

Jimmy sat up in the bed and took a sip. "Thank you, sweetheart. Just the way I like it."

After taking another sip, he wrapped his arms around Jess, holding her close. Victoria walked in and climbed on the bed with them. "Good morning, Dad." She said and then gave them both a hug.

"I'm hungry. Can we get something to eat?"

"Certainly," said Jimmy. "Where would you like to go?"

"Let's eat at the Character Breakfast."

"Sounds like fun," Jimmy responded.

"Let me help you pick out something to wear, Victoria," Jess said.

"OK, Mom," Victoria said as she climbed off the bed and headed to her room.

Jess leaned over and gave Jimmy a kiss. "Be right back, sweetheart."

Jimmy grinned and watched her go.

NCIS HQ

Parker walked up the stairs to Director Vance's office and knocked on the door frame as Vance was on the phone. He waived Parker in and took a seat across the desk from him. After completing his call, Vance looked up and asked "What brings you up here first thing in the morning?"

"Good morning to you too. Director. I received a disturbing note from Gibbs."

Vance sat up straight in his chair. "What about?"

"He says to BOLO for Hugo Sanchez. Something about him wanting revenge on one of our agents."

"How is that possible?" He's been in prison in Venezuela for 5 years."

"I don't know. But I've learned to not take any warning from Gibbs lightly."

Director Vance stares at Parker for a moment before speaking. "I'll make some discrete inquiries and will pass them along."

"Roger that, Director. If I come across anything I will be sure to let you know."

Jimmy walked with Jess and Victoria to the Monorail station to say goodbye before he headed to the conference. "Have fun at the Animal Kingdom you two. Don't get eaten by any lions."

Victoria and Jess laughed. "We don't intend to. We'll bag a large animal treat for you."

Jimmy laughed and gave Victoria a big hug and a kiss on the cheek. "Mind your Mom while you're out there."

"I will, Dad. Enjoy your conference."

"Thank you. I'll try, but I'd much rather be with you."

He turned to Jess and wrapped her up in his arms before giving her a big kiss. "I love you my bride-to-be."

"I love you too, my groom-to-be."

"Have fun and see you back here around 5." Jimmy watched the two women in his life board the Monorail before walking back to the conference.

Jimmy sat down in the conference room toward the back for the opening session which was primarily introductions and an overview. He was looking forward to the first training session on toxicology. A few minutes later he was surprised to have Ernie sit down next to him.

"Agent Malik, hello."

"Dr. Palmer, good afternoon," Ernie replied.

"Is Carla joining you?"

Ernie shook his head and chuckled. "She sitting with a friend of hers. I think they like to meet up at these conferences for more than the education."

Jimmy laughed. "I see what you mean. Do you know other people here?"

"A few."

"Have you met Dr. Sally Morgan?"

Ernie looked over at Jimmy with surprise. "No. Why do you ask?"

"We worked together one summer and became friends. She's really nice and smart and works out of San Francisco. Would you like to meet her?"

"Are you trying to set me up on a date?"

Jimmy laughed and shook his head. "No, but I thought you might like to meet her. Whether anything comes from it is up to you and her."

Ernie stared at Jimmy for a minute before answering, wondering if this was about Jess. Finally he decided it was Jimmy just being nice. "Sure. I'd like that."

"If you're going to the cocktail reception tonight it would be a good time to do so."

"Great. I'll look forward to it."

The meeting was brought to order and the two men turned their attention to the front.

Hugo Sanchez disguised as a fisherman scanned the horizon as the fishing boat he was on headed toward the Florida Gulf Coast. So far his ship had avoided any contact with the Coast Guard and as far as he knew, news of his escape from Venezuela prison was nonexistent in the United States. He hoped his luck would hold out so he could turn to locating the agent he was after once he made land.

Jess and Victoria sat in the back of the jeep they were riding in to tour the safari. After walking around in the heat of the day, Jess decided to buy park ranger hats for them for sun protection. "Did you know that I went through training to become a park ranger?"

Victoria shook her head. "No. Does that mean you are a skilled camper and hiker?"

Jess nodded. "I am. Have you done any camping Victoria?"

She shook her head. "Not really unless you count camping in the local park overnight."

Jess chuckled. "Would you like to go on a weekend camping trip with me?"

Victoria grinned. "I'd love to. I'm sure Dad would want to come too."

"I think you're right. We'll have to talk to him about it. If we hike in he'll carry the heaviest pack."

Victoria laughed at that.

Jess took lots of pictures of the animals and Victoria with her digital camera and taught Victoria how to use it as well. Victoria took some really good pictures of Jess for her and her Dad.

Sitting down at a table eating lunch, Jess sent a text to Jimmy with a selfie of their food and them. The caption said "Wish you were here."

Jimmy felt his phone vibrate and took a look, bringing a smile to his face. He responded "Wish I was there too."

Jimmy tried to regain his focus on the speaker while thinking about the two ladies in his life enjoying themselves at the park. He greatly looked forward to gathering them in his arms later that afternoon.

Jess and Victoria exited the monorail back at the hotel after gathering their purchases. Both were pleased to see Jimmy standing by the exit door waiting for them with a big smile on his face. Jimmy enveloped them in his arms before planting a toe curling kiss on Jessica's lips. "I missed you," he whispered into her ear. "I can tell," Jess whispered back with a grin. "I missed you too." Their lips met one more time before heading back to their room.

The fishing boat approached Tampa Bay port and stopped about a half mile away in the gathering dusk. The dinghy was lowered into the water at the stern where Sanchez got on board along with his body guard to pilot the craft. Sanchez crawled under a tarp and the small boat headed to shore just south of the harbor.

Victoria went to her room to take a nap until it was time to leave for the Kid's club. Jess and Jimmy sat down on the couch in the living room after grabbing some mineral waters from the refrigerator. Jimmy put his arm around her shoulders as Jess snuggled up to him.

"Was your conference interesting and worthwhile?" Jess asked.

Jimmy nodded. "It was. I learned something new about toxins and how to distinguish them. There is a new test available that I need to order for the lab back at the office."

Jess nodded. "I'm sure Kasie will find it useful as well."

"What did you enjoy most at the Animal Kingdom?"

"The jeep safari was fun as well as the jungle boat ride. Victoria really liked the elephants too."

Jimmy smiled and kissed Jess on the cheek while running his hand through her hair. "Victoria has always asked to see the elephants at the zoo."

Jimmy pulled Jess on his lap to where she was facing him and straddling his legs. Jess leaned in and kissed Jimmy hard while running her fingers through his hair. Jimmy slid his hands down her back to the bottom of her blouse and slid his hands underneath to massage her bare skin. Jess smiled against his lips before breaking the kiss and lifting her hands over her head so Jimmy could remove her shirt. Grabbing the hem, her shirt was quickly removed and set aside, Jimmy's lips immediately back on Jess. Jess took Jimmy's hands and placed them on her bra covered breasts and he began massaging her. When the need for air caused them to break the kiss, Jess asked "Do we need to worry about Victoria waking up and walking in on us?"

Jimmy smiled against her lips. "She seemed to be pretty tired but it's better to be safe than sorry."

Jess nodded and reluctantly climbed off his lap and stood up. She walked to the door to their bedroom and unhooked her lacy black bra before throwing at Jimmy. "Don't forget my shirt," she said with a wink and walked inside the room. Jimmy walked in a few moments later and closed the door.

Jess and Jimmy took Victoria to the kids club and signed her in. They paid for the provided dinner and some games for her to play. "Have fun. We'll see you before they close." Victoria said "You have fun too," and gave them each a big hug.

Jimmy was dressed in a suit and tie. Jess was dressed in a beautiful black dress with a slit to her thigh. She was gorgeous. Jimmy couldn't stop looking at her causing Jess to blush a little. She whispered in his ear. "I love that you like me in this dress. I love the way you look in that suit. James Bond has nothing on you."

Jimmy grinned and kissed her lightly on the lips, careful not to smudge her lipstick. "You are the most beautiful woman in the world. I can hardly believe you are all mine and that I am all yours."

Jess grinned back at him and put her arm through his. "I'm looking forward to you showing me later just how much you love me and for me to show you how much I love you."

Jimmy gulped loudly and said with a kiss, "Me too, my love."

Stopping at the check in desk, they were handed name tags. Jess put Jimmy's on for him and Jimmy did the same for Jess, but had a little more difficulty finding an appropriate place to put it. He ended putting it on the belt of her dress.

Heading over to the bar, Jimmy got a glass of sparkling white wine for each of them and he spotted his friend Sally Morgan. He leaned over and whispered in Jess' ear. "I'd like to introduce you to a friend of mine who works out of San Francisco as a Medical Examiner. I also promised Ernie that I would introduce him to her."

Jess did a double take and raised an eyebrow. "You had a chat with Ernie at the conference?"

"I did. He sat next to me when he arrived. I figured it might help if I got his mind on someone else beside you."

Jess nodded. "I don't think he is a bad guy. I just think he is lonely and insecure and is a little full of himself as a result."

"You're probably right. Hopefully he will make a new friend.

Jess took Jimmy's arm and headed over to where Sally was standing. Sally spotted Jimmy and gave him a hug. "Jimmy, so nice to see you."

"You too, Sally. I'd like to introduce you to my fiancée, Jessica Knight."

Sally did a double take and said to Jess, "Pleased to meet you Jessica."

"Thanks. Pleased to meet you too, Sally. How do you know my husband to be?"

Sally smiled. "We worked together one summer and became friends. I actually introduced him to Breena."

"It was so sad she left us so young. I know I can't replace her in Victoria's or Jimmy's life but I can help us make a new family that I hope will bring them both joy and peace."

Sally looked over at Jimmy and said " Wow, Jimmy. Where did you find her? She's amazing to have such insight, not to mention so beautiful."

Jimmy grinned broadly and gave Jess a kiss on the check and a hug. "I am truly blessed to have her in my life."

Jess gave Jimmy a hug and a kiss back. "I'm truly blessed to have Jimmy and Victoria in my life, too."

Sally grinned and laughed. "It's a good thing that you're getting married."

Jimmy and Jess grinned.

A few minutes later Ernie showed up with Carla and Carla's friend. Jimmy said "Hello Ernie, Carla. I'd like to introduce my friend from San Francisco, Dr. Sally Morgan." Sally, these are my cohorts from NCIS Hawaii Agent Ernie Malick and Dr. Carla Chase."

Sally nodded at both of them and smiled. "Please to meet you."

Ernie reached out and took Sally's hand and kissed the back of it and said "Pleased to meet you too, Sally." Sally blushed a little but was amused by Ernie's chivalry.

Now that his duty to Ernie was done, Jimmy took Jess' hand and led her to a food station on the other side of the room.

After sampling the food at several of the food stations, Jimmy took Jess around the room and introduced her to many of his colleagues. They were all happy for the couple and wished them well.

A little before the time they needed to leave to pick up Victoria, the music started playing. Jimmy steered his fiancée to the dance floor and took Jess into his arms, holding her close. They gently swayed to the music, not really trying to perform a particular dance step. When a new song started, Jimmy and Jessica were surprised to see that Ernie had managed to talk Sally into joining him on the dance floor. Seeing Jimmy and Jess, Ernie smiled at them and nodded, before returning his attention to Sally.

Jess whispered into Jimmy's ear. "It looks like your plan worked."

Jimmy smiled and kissed her. "There is only one pair of eyes that I want looking at you…. Mine."

Jess chuckled and grinned back. "I'm all yours and only yours my handsome fiancée."

"And I'm all yours and only yours my gorgeous future bride."

Their lips met again in a not so chaste kiss.

The alarm went off on Jimmy's watch reminding them it was time to go get their daughter. Jess took Jimmy's arm and off they went to the Kid's Club.
