Chapter 10

Jimmy was in dreamland. The woman of his dreams was draped over him sound asleep. He thought he heard something but wasn't sure. He lay still for a moment and then heard the noise again. He finally determined it was a soft knock on the bedroom door. Knowing that it was Victoria, he thought about telling her to come in. Then looking at Jess' naked body only partially covered by a thin sheet and considering that Jess was the only thing that was covering him up, he thought better of it.

"Just a minute sweetheart, Jimmy called out. I'll be right there."

Victoria called back. "There is someone at the door."

Jimmy kissed Jess on the head and shinnied out from under her.

Jess groaned, "Where are you off to? It can't be time to wake up yet."

Jimmy looked at the clock. "Wow. We really slept in. It's 10 o'clock."

Jess mumbled in complaint. "It's still too early to get up."

Jimmy chuckled. "You don't need to move. Victoria says there is someone at the door."

"Tell them to go away and come back to bed."

"Just think. When we're on our honeymoon, we won't have to leave the bed at all."

"Let's start our honeymoon right now."

"Temptress." Jimmy got up and put on some pants and a T-shirt before covering up Jess a little more with the covers. He kissed her on the cheek and opened the door, closing it after he left the room.

Victoria threw her arms around her Dad and he picked her up.

"Who's at the door?"

"Not sure."

Jimmy looked through the peep hole and was in for a surprise. He opened the door.

"Tim. Come on in. I wasn't expecting you until this afternoon."

Tim smiled. "Tell two kids that they are going to Disney World and they don't want to wait."

Jimmy chuckled. "Anything need to be taken care of right now?"

Tim reached into his pocket and took out two small boxes. "I stopped at the jewelry store and picked up the rings, for you and Jess. I also made an appointment to stop at the tux shop to pick up your tux."

"Great Tim. Thanks."

"Jess' mom and sister are arriving at 2pm. Her dad is also already here."

"I'll let Jess know. We need to get moving."

Tim nodded. "I'll let you know when I'm going to get your tux."

"Thanks Tim."

Tim turned and headed out the door.

Victoria said "I'm hungry. Can we get something to eat?"

"Certainly. Let me check on your mother."

Jimmy opened the bedroom door and stepped inside, not knowing what condition he would see his future wife in. Jess wasn't in bed but was in the bathroom so he went there and looked inside. Jess had put her new T-shirt back on and some panties and was washing her hands. Jimmy wrapped his arms around her waist from behind and kissed her on the cheek.

"That was Tim with our rings. Your dad is here and your mom and sister are arriving at 2pm. We also have a very hungry daughter."

Jess dried her hands and turned around, giving him a kiss. Jimmy's stomach growled. "And a very hungry fiancée, too." She chuckled. "We better do something about that."

Victoria came to the bedroom door which was open. "Can I come in?"

"Certainly," both Jimmy and Jess called out. Victoria came back to the bathroom and hugged her mother around her legs.

"Good morning mom. Sleep well?"

Jess tried to hide her blush and said, "Very well, thanks. How about you?"

"Great. Like a log. Let's get something to eat."

"Where do you want to go?"

"The pancake house in the Magic Kingdom."

Jess looked at Jimmy. "Do we have time to go there?"

Jimmy nodded. "We've got time. We should probably come back around 2:30pm."

Jess turned to Victoria. "You're on. Get dressed and we'll meet you in the living room in a little bit."

Victoria left the bedroom and closed the door. With a smile on her face she knew it would take more than a little bit of time for her parents to get ready.

Sitting at a table just outside the pancake house Victoria looked at the giant Minnie Mouse chocolate pancake on her plate. "It almost looks too good to eat."

Jimmy laughed. "It does, but I'm sure it tastes even better."

Victoria nodded and took her first bite. "You're right. It does."

Jimmy ordered a cheese omelet with a side of bacon and small stack of pancakes. Jess ordered some blueberry pancakes. Jimmy cut his omelet in half, putting it on Jess' plate with a slice of bacon. Jess put some of the blueberries from her pancakes onto Jimmy's plain ones. Of course they would share.

"Do we have time to go on some rides?

Jimmy nodded. "We do. What do you want to go on?"

"Pirates of the Caribbean."

"Ok, let's go."

The three walked hand in hand toward the ride. Jess' phone rang. "Hello."

They kept walking. "Hi, mom."

Jess listened as they walked. "Ok. We'll meet you there about 3pm. See you soon."

Jimmy and Victoria looked over at her. "That was my mom calling from the plane. She wants me and Victoria to meet her in the hotel lobby at 3. Something about a fitting."

Victoria asked "We still have time for some rides don't we?'

Jess smiled and nodded. "Sure do. Let's have some fun."

After four rides and some popcorn, they sure did.

Tim called Jimmy while he was on the way back from the park.

"I'm leaving to pick up your tux soon. Do you want to come?"

"I'd love to. We're on our way back to the hotel. What time do you want to leave?"

"How about 3:15"

"That should work. I'll meet you in the lobby."

"Great. See you then." Said Tim.

Jimmy took Jess and Victoria down to the lobby to meet with Jess' mom and sister. Hugs and kisses were exchanged all around.

"Where are we going, mom?" Jess asked.

"There is a seamstress and tailor shop not far from here. We stopped there on the way from the airport. Just wanted to make sure of the final fitting of your's and Victoria's dresses for the wedding since you haven't tried it on in about a month."

Robin, Jess's sister, said "Not that we're accusing you of putting on weight."

Jess glared at her before laughing. "I'll have you know that I've been working out. I've probably lost weight."

Robin was about to ask what kind of workouts she had been taking but decided better of it since Victoria was there.

"My, Victoria. Look how much you've grown. "I'm glad we waited to pick up your dress."

Victoria smiled shyly as she didn't know Jess' mom or sister very well.

"Let's go." Said Jess's mom and turned to go. Jess and Victoria got a hug and kiss from Jimmy before they left.

Tim arrived in the lobby right after the ladies left. He nodded at Jimmy. "You ready to go?"

"How are we getting there?"

"I rented a car. It's easier for Delilah."

"Lead the way, Tim."

Twenty minutes later they pulled into the parking lot of a strip mall where the formal wear rental shop was located. They walked up to the counter once inside.

"Can I help you?"

"We're here to pick up some tuxes for the Palmer wedding."

The clerk went to the computer and entered the name. "Ah, here you are. Two black tuxes, white shirts, bow ties, cummerbunds and shoes, One with a long tail. Which one of you is the groom?"

Jimmy nodded. "I'm am."

The clerk nodded. "Be right back."

A few minutes later the clerk returned with the tuxes. "Would you like to try them on?"

Jimmy nodded. "I think that would be a good idea.."

Jimmy and Tim took the tuxes to the dressing room to try on the coat and pants. Jimmy and Tim walked out of the rooms to check themselves in the mirrors. Tim and Jimmy looked at each other and said "Not bad. We could make great penguins at a costume party." They laughed.

The clerk came over and looked the men over, checking the fit. "Looking good gentlemen. Are you comfortable?"

Tim and Jimmy both nodded. "These are great. Thanks."

The returned to the dressing rooms and changed back into their regular clothes.

After paying for the rentals, Jimmy and Tim went back to the car.

"Where to next?" Tim asked.

"Let me call Jess to see if they are finished." Jimmy punched her speed dial.

Jess heard her phone ring but couldn't answer it as she was in the middle of putting the finishing touches on her dress. Victoria picked it up and brought it to her. She knew it was Jimmy as he had a special ringtone she set up for him on her phone. Jess said "Answer it for me sweetie."

Victoria hit the answer button and said "Hi Dad. Mom can't come to the phone right now. She's modeling her dress. She looks gorgeous."

Jess said "Find out what he wants please."

Jimmy smiled. "I'm sure she does, Victoria. I can't wait to see her in it. I called to see how much longer you're going to be and find out what we are doing tonight."

Victoria started to relay the message when Jess asked her to put in on speaker.

Jess called out. "Hi sweetheart. I'm getting my final fitting. When are you and Tim done?"

"We've got our tuxes in the car and are ready to head back. I can't wait to see you in your dress."

"Only two more days. My dad was wondering if we could all get together for dinner. Parker and the rest of the gang just landed and are heading over."

"Sounds great.

"I'll be done in about an hour they tell me. Meet you in our room then?"

"See you then."

Tim looked over at Jimmy. "Jess is supposed to be done in an hour."

"I could use some coffee. Do you want some?"

"Me too. Let's do it."

Tim and Jimmy walked into the lobby of the hotel carrying their tuxes over their shoulders. Tim spotted Delilah and his two kids coming in from the pool area.

"Delilah," Tim called out.

She turned her head and spotted her husband and wheeled on over to him. "Hi Tim. Hi Jimmy."

Johnny and Morgan were wrapped in towels following their mother. Delilah spoke up. "They had fun running around in the water playground with the fountains, slides and water cannons."

Tim nodded and ruffled the wet hair of his two children. "Sounds like you two had fun."

"We did, daddy." Morgan responded. "I wanted to shoot you with the water cannon." Johnny said.

Tim laughed. "Another time Johnny."

Jess' dad came into the lobby and spotted Jimmy. He walked right over and gave him a hug. "So you're the man who is going to take away my daughter." He said with a grin.

Jimmy chuckled. "That I am. I can hardly wait."

Jimmy introduced him to Tim and Delilah and their kids. "I hear there's going to be a dinner tonight. When and where?"

Jess's dad said "Yes. There's a Mexican restaurant I heard about nearby. It's got a variety of good food too for those who might want something less spicy. We're leaving to go there at 7pm." It was currently 5:30.

"Sounds great. We'll meet you down here then."

Jimmy bid everyone farewell for now and headed up to their room anxious to see his fiancée.

Back in the room,, Jimmy hung his tux up in the closet. Remembering he still needed to get plane tickets he logged onto the internet to see their choices. He was hoping to find a nonstop flight.

Sitting at the kitchen table absorbed in his work, he was a little startled when the door to their room opened and in walked Victoria and Jess. Victoria ran over to the table and jumped into her Dad's lap. "Hi Dad. What are you doing?"

Jimmy hugged her and kissed her on top of the head. He looked over at Jess and smiled, blowing her a kiss. Jess smiled back and came to the table and hugged him from behind and gave him a real kiss.

"That's much better," Jess said and chuckled. "So what are you up to my love?"

Jimmy turned in his chair enough to hug Jess and give her a kiss. "I'm looking for flights to Bermuda."

Victoria asked, "When are we going to Bermuda?"

Jimmy and Jess chuckled. "Your mom and I are going there for our honeymoon."

Victoria grinned. "I knew that. I was just pulling your leg."

Jimmy and Jess chuckled. "Find anything good?" Jess asked.

"It's a little tricky since we are flying back to DC instead of a round trip from Orlando."

Jess nodded. "We also need to decide if we are going to fly out right after the wedding or wait until the morning."

"It takes about six or seven hours to get there from here so we should plan on staying here for our wedding night."

"I don't want to fly overnight there. We would have to join the mile high club."

Jimmy turned bright red causing Jess to laugh. Fortunately Victoria thought it meant some kind of frequent flyer type club.

Jimmy continued to check several websites and before he found a flight that met their needs.

"Here's one that looks good, sweetheart. It leaves Orlando at 10 am and arrives in Bermuda at 4:30pm. There is one stop in Atlanta."

Jess came over and stood behind Jimmy, leaning over him and putting her arms around his chest. "That looks good. What about coming home?"

"The flights leave in the early afternoon and arrive at 8pm. There is also one stop."

"Well, it looks like we don't have another choice. We better grab those flights while we can."

Jimmy nodded and made the bookings. He looked up at Jess. "I don't know if this sounds strange to you or not, but what would you say to a Disney cruise with Victoria?" We can do that when she is out of school and help her celebrate with us."

Jess came around to sit in his lap giving him a big kiss. "I think that is a brilliant idea. Do you know her school schedule?"

"Not offhand but I can find out."

Let's ask Victoria what she thinks."

"Victoria," Jimmy called out. "Can you come here for a minute?" She was in her room.

"Just a second, Dad."

Victoria looked at her Dad when she came to the table. "What's up?"

Jess answered "How would you like to go on a Disney cruise?"

Victoria grinned broadly and said "I'd love to. When?" She climbed on Jess' lap. Jimmy hoped the chair wouldn't break with three of them sitting on it.

"We're thinking of Spring break. We want you to share in our fun."

"Thank you mom and dad. I love you."

"We love you too, sweetie. You better get off my lap before we squish your dad." Jess said.

Victoria laughed and gave them both a hug before climbing down.

"We need to leave for dinner in about a half an hour."

"I'll get ready." She returned to her room.

Jimmy wrapped his arms around Jess and started kissing the back of her neck. Jess enjoyed the feeling and when Jimmy slid his hands from her waist to her breasts, moaned at his touch. Jimmy whispered in her ear. "Do you want my help picking out your outfit for tonight?" He nibbled on her ear causing Jess to shudder.

Jess turned her head to face Jimmy and smirked. "I don't think we have enough time to do what I think you want to do."

Jimmy grinned and kissed her. "Do you have any doubts about what I want to do?" He squeezed her breasts feeling her nipples harden.

Jess chuckled and grinned and stood up. "Let's find out, shall we?"

Jimmy stood with her and he picked up his bride-to-be and carried her into the bedroom.

It turned out they did have time to do what they both wanted, but were a little late going downstairs.

El Matador restaurant was hopping on a Friday night. It was a very large restaurant with a banquet room in the back. Jess' dad secured its use for the thirty or so people who were invited.

Jimmy, Jess and Victoria rode with Jess' dad to the restaurant and went inside. Jimmy and Jess ordered margaritas and Victoria a Shirley Temple. Jess' dad had a cerveza. They were the first to arrive. Over the next fifteen minutes the entire group came in.

Jimmy and Jess went around the room greeting everyone, thanking them for coming. When they reached Nick Torres they received two huge surprises. The first was seeing that Nick was not alone but had a beautiful blonde on his arm. It was Ellie Bishop. "Nick, Ellie, it's so great to see you!" both Jimmy and Jess exclaimed. Ellie grinned broadly and said "It's great to see you too and congratulations."

"Thank you. We thought you were undercover somewhere."

Ellie nodded. "I am but I was able to come to your wedding and see Nick because I am in between assignments. The first one finished."

Nick grinned and hugged Ellie. Jess said "I think I know someone who is very happy to see you, Ellie."

Ellie turned and looked at Nick. "I'm just as happy to see him."

The second surprise was a mountain man who walked up to them. He looked a little scraggly but the piercing eyes were the same. "Gibbs!" Jimmy and Jess exclaimed. "What a wonderful surprise."

Gibbs looked at them with a twinkle in his eye. "Did you think I would violate Rule 99?"

Jimmy, Jess, Nick and Ellie looked at Gibbs and asked "Rule 99?"

Gibbs grinned. "I don't think I ever told you about that one. It's the rule that says whenever two members of your team get married you need to be there to celebrate with them."

Jimmy and Jess looked at Gibbs and grinned. "I think rule 99 is a great rule." Jess gave Gibbs a hug.

Jess and Jimmy continued making the rounds greeting all the guests. Parker was there with his plus one as was Kasie and her plus one. When they reached Robin Knight, Jess received a big hug as did Jimmy.

"I'm so happy for you both. You have shown me what true love is and that it is worth waiting for and fighting for. No more fiancées until I really get to know them."

Jess hugged Robin back and grinned. "I know you'll find the right person like I did."

"I brought a plus one with me." She introduced him to Jimmy and Jess. "This is Samuel Davidson. We've been dating for about a month."

Robin whispered into Jess' ear. "Don't worry. He hasn't proposed to me."

Jess chuckled and smiled. "Pleased to meet you, Samuel."

Jess' dad stood at the front of the room and drew everyone's attention by tapping a water glass with a knife. He waived Jimmy and Jess to come stand with him along with Jess' mom and sister. Jimmy's family also came forward with Victoria.

"The Knight family is very happy that you have come to share in our joy in the union of our daughter Jessica to Jimmy Palmer. May their joy be full and complete with many long and happy years together." All gathered echoed the sentiment with a "here, here."

"Please find a seat and the food will be served momentarily." There was a sign-up sheet on the way in for everyone to place their orders.

There were several round tables in the room that sat eight guests each. Their group occupied 4 of the tables. Jimmy and Jess sat with Gibbs, Parker, Torres, Bishop, and their guests. After they ate, Jimmy and Jess walked around the room visiting with everyone, thanking them for coming.

Tim and Kasie, being best man and maid of honor, stood in the front of the room and told funny, serious and poignant stories about the bride-to-be and groom-to-be. Gibbs and Parker told stories of their heroism while mixing in stories of their goofs. The presentations ended when Victoria came to the front to tell everyone how much her Dad and new Mom meant to her and how excited she was to their coming new family. She finished by remembering her mom Breena and how she felt that she was looking down and smiling on them wishing love and happiness for her Dad, Jessica and herself.

Before they party was over, Jess, Jimmy her mom and dad all met briefly to talk about plans for Saturday. There was a rehearsal at 11am and Jess wanted to do some honeymoon shopping without Jimmy as he would be the primary beneficiary of what she bought. Jimmy needed a few items to take but they both planned on doing some shopping in Bermuda. A group trip to the Magic Kingdom was planned for 4pm as the park stayed open until 9 that night.
