Continuing with Melee stages once more in the countdown comes, Yoshi's Story. For me personally, I cannot figure out why this stage is seen so popular with Melee fans.
The biggest problems I had with Yoshi's Story, was that the stage was fairly small to fight on and next to zero stage interactivity whatsoever could happen in this stage making up for a very bland and forgettable stage.
The main fighting action on Yoshi's Story is taken place on a medium sized grass platform with three small platforms on each of the left, side and top sections of the stage. Like I stated with Brinstar, big characters like Ganondorf, Bowser and Donkey Kong would take up room for just one of these platforms alone. Making for a stage with crowded and cramped up fighting action in it.
Unlike the other Yoshi stages that I have yet to do on the countdown were there was interactivity going on, I last recall playing Yoshi's Story with the stage having zero stage interactivity. The only mild interactivity you could do in the stage is, occasionally hit Shy Guys in the stage if you want to in which, is pointless and waste of time to do. I normally do not have a problem with stages that have no interactivity in them but, with the stage barely feeling anything from the Yoshi spin-off games aside from the music and the stage being very small on, makes for a stage that isn't very fun and brings back bad memories of Yoshi's Story on the N64.
Overall, Yoshi's Story isn't a very good stage. The main fighting stage gameplay with zero interactivity happening while in combat and the stage being very small to fight on makes up for stage that's very forgettable and not very fun at all. This stage falls way short compared to the rest of the Yoshi stages, I have yet to rank on the countdown so far.
