I found the past F-Zero stages in the Smash Bros. series very enjoyable. I loved Big Blue and Mute City back in Melee, especially Mute City. With Brawl, we have ourselves a near clone of the Mute City stage from Melee with Port Town Aero Dive for Brawl. While Port Town Aero Dive is not better then Big Blue and Mute City from Melee, Port Town Aero Dive is a good above-average stage in Brawl with enjoyable moments.

The best moments I had with Port Town Aero Dive is like PictoChat, nothing in this stage feels slow. Almost all of the gameplay action in Port Town Aero Drive, runs smooth and the action runs a fast and steady pace.

Most of the changes that happen in this change, rarely if ever feel unbalanced and you and your opponents are given enough time to get used to the environments in the stage before the stage changes to a new environment. The changes in Port Town Aero Dive, are varied well and never feel to big or to small to fight on. Perfect stage arena room to fight on. The only major unbalanced part in this stage is a problem I will get to, later on in this write-up.

The animation and music in Port Town Aero Dive is solid. The music is remixed well from the past F-Zero games and the music fits the stage with a mix of metal and rock that fits the style of the F-Zero series is the past.

The only major negative I can think of for Port Town Aero Dive is that during a few sections in the stage is that, the moving cars in this stage would give off a good amount of damage to you and at times feel cheap.

Yes, this is what made Mute City a great stage in Melee and made it unique but, the big problem is that, if your opponents smack you in a few cars here and there, it was result with you taking a good amount of damage. Back in Mute City for Melee, if you touched the moving cars, the cars would do little damage to you. In Brawl for Port Town, if you get touched by more then 4 to 5 cars, it would likely result for a KO. Each time you would get hit by a car, it would normally result for 25 to 30% damage. That may not seem a lot of damage on paper but, getting hit by more then 5 cars in the stage can feel in reality a great damage of attack damage to you.

Overall, Port Town Aero Dive is a above-average stage for Brawl with a good amount of fun here and there. Aside for the fairly cheap car damage problem in this stage, Port Town Aero Dive is one fun stage to play in for Brawl. May not be better then Mute City and Big Blue from Melee but, Port Town Aero Dive is still a blast of fun for Smash Bros. fans that enjoy the F-Zero stages in the series.
