The climb as I said, was not hard. I didn't even break a sweat. I walk in and I was greeted by a lot of paintings.
Hmm, I wonder what all these paintings mean.
I look around until my eyes lay on a bandaged-up lioness sleeping relatively peacefully. I saw all the cuts made by the hyenas which made me wince.
I took a step forward, trying not to wake her, but unfortunately, i stepped on something squishy.
Ah, poop.
Kiara's ears perked at the sound and opened her eyes. They suddenly widen. she looked at me like a statue.
What? Is something on my face?
"uhh, hi again?" I waved my hand, smiling nervously as I did so.
"Hello... Uhm, mark right?" She smiled a bit.
"Huh, glad you remember princess." I saw a bit of red on her muzzle, which made me smirk.
"Aha, yeah..." She said embarrassed.
"So, how are you holding up?" I ask
"I'm ok I guess, a bit sore on my left side but I can handle it." She replied, easing up to me.
"How about you, are you ok?" She asked me.
"I'm fine." I sit down from where I was standing.
"Thanks for saving me by the way." She smiled at me. I nodded my head with a smile of my own. She put her head on the floor and sighed
"What's the matter?" I asked, confused by her action.
"What? Oh, it's nothing. It's just. This was my first ever hunt and I almost died." her eyes glinted.
"Well, isn't there a second chance?" I asked confused.
"There was but not anymore, daddy won't let me because of the accident." her face turned into an annoyed expression.
"Maybe I can convince Simba to let you hunt alone again." I suggested.
"Good luck trying." She smirked.
huh, I didn't expect this conversation to go well.
We talked about things like, where I came from, what I like to eat, and of course, explaining to her what a sandwich is. I looked outside to see the sun setting.
"Looks like it's getting dark, better head out. Night princess." I said still looking outside
"I guess I'll see you tomorrow then. I had fun talking to you." she smiled at me. I turned my head.
"Don't worry princess you'll see me again soon enough." I winked at her. Which made Kiara blush. I Climbed down after saying my goodbye to Kiara.
After getting down, I looked around until I saw the L rock and started walking over there. While walking, I say to myself.
"Man, it's really cold" I hugged myself but did little to stop myself from shuddering.
"It's about to get colder when your blood is spilled." I looked at where the voice came from. Soon, there was laughter all around me.
A hyena jumped out of the bush.
It was one of the mutts that I scared away before saving Kiara.
"Remember me?" he asked me
"Yeah, you're scared Doggo number one. Where's number two?" I sneered at the hyena.
"hmm, I dunno. Where do you think is he?" He smiled. Suddenly, a hyena pounced and bit on my ankle.
'Ah frick. I'm gonna feel this tomorrow ain't I'
"Peek a boo. Here I am" the second hyena laughed.
"Aww, didn't see that coming did you now?" the first hyena laughed.
"I'll be taking my sweet revenge in blood." he said biting on my arm.
"AHHH! GET THE FRICK OFF ME YOU DOG" I screamed in pain. The two hyenas stopped and stared at me. They begin laughing HARD.
The first one wiped a tear and the second one was out of breath. They soon stopped and recovered.
"Like that would ever happen" They retorted. And it did when they heard the familiar roar.
I smiled a bit when I heard it.
"Get ready mutts." I looked at the hyenas that were now being pounced on by lionesses.
My eyes grew tired from the pain and I soon drifted to sleep.
I opened my eyes to see that I'm in Rafiki's tree.
Wtf, why am I here?
I soon remembered the encounter with the hyenas, and the lionesses saving me.
Oh, yea...
I try to sit up and look around but was halted when i heard a voice.
"try not to move mark, you're injured." I turned my head to see Kiara near me.
"I agree with de princess young mark." I look up to see Rafiki with some type of fruit.
"I guess you were right, I was seeing you sooner." she smirked.
"I can't help myself from seeing you again i guess." And now it's my turn to smirk. She blushed hard.
"We- well.. I." she stuttered.
"Hahahaha, just kidding princess." I laughed at her expression.
"How are you" she suddenly asked me.
"I feel like my right foot is still in a hyena's mouth and everything else very much hurts." i winced when I moved slightly to scratch my arm.
"Told you not to move." kiara said.
"I know, that's why i did." I replied
"I guess I'm stuck with you before I heal," Kiara said with an annoyed expression.
"Yup, better like it princess, because it's gonna be a while." I smiled at her. She sighed but smiled as well.
2 weeks later.
"Ahhh, finally i can leave this place." i said stretching.
"Took you long enough markie." She said
"Aww c'mon why did you have to give me a nickname" I crossed my arms
"Because why not?" I sighed
In the span of those 2 weeks, we grew closer. we talked about our childhood, how she met Kovu near the outlands, her brother, kion who was on an expedition outside the pride lands.
"Let's just head to pride rock" I said, already walking there.
"Hey, wait up!" she said. On our way there, we were talking about how humans live.
"You see, we already have everything in a place called a market. A market is a place where all the stuff you need is already there."
I explained but leaving out currency and stuff
because, it'll take a long time to explain.
"Ohh, so you live in a place called a house and get things you need in a market. Well that's convenient." she repeated to make sure she understood all of those.
"That's why it's called a convenient store." i said.
"What?" she asked confused.
"Never mind. Oh look we're here." I said pointing at the rock. We came up and got inside the den.
"Welcome back you kiara!" kiara's friends tiifu and zuri exlaimed in excitement.
"Hey mark" They also said.
"Aww, you guys do know me. How thoughtful of you both." I playfully said.
"Welcome back Kiara" the queen and king said.
"Hey daddy, mommy." they nuzzled each other.
"Hello to you as well mark" they came up to me and greeted.
"Hey simba, nala." I said as i smiled at them
"Where's my grand daughter and mark?" a voice said and i soon recognize it to br Sarabi.
"Hi grandma." kiara said nuzzling her as well.
"Hey sarabi." I said coming up to her and patting her head gently.
"Well how was your stay at rafiki?" they said
"It was incredibly boring." me and kiara said at the same time rolling our eyes.
"Jinx! Jinx again! Stop it!" we said to each other at the same time
Oh? Let's head inside and tell us what you two shared" nala said smiling at the scene.
