It's a new day. I yawned and stretched my arms, Getting ready to for the day.
"Morning mark" I heard a voice. It was Kiara, also stretching. Guess we woke up at the same time.
"Morning princess." I stood up smiling at her.
sigh* "first thing in the morning. I told you not to call me that." I laughed at her annoyed face.
"Ohh that never gets old." I smile as I look around the den.
"Aww you're both already arguing like couples"
Sarabi came out of nowhere startling the both of us.
"We- we're not mates!" we both blushed at her tease.
"Maybe not today. But definitely in the near future." Sarabi said walking out of the den. We looked at each other and blushed.
"sorry about grandma sarabi." She said with a small blush.
"no one got hurt so, it's ok really." I said wkrh a smile.
Silence...
"Hey, Timon and Pumbaa are both coming today." She said breaking the silence.
"Who?" I was confused.
"My uncles." She said with a smile.
"Oh? Can't wait to meet them." I said as I looked back at her.
Meeting two lions as big as or bigger than Simba? I'll be dead.
"Anyways, while we're waiting for them, let's go to the watering hole, I'm in need of h2o." I said waiting for her at the entrance of the cave.
"h2o?" kiara tilted her head and furrowed her eyebrows.
"Just.. Never mind about that. I just need water right now." I said not getting into another explanation.
"Ok?" she said as we walked over to the watering hole to get a drink.
After walking back to pride rock, I saw Simba sitting at the top. I went over to talk about letting Kiara hunt again.
I walked over to Simba.
"Morning Simba" I waved a hand to him.
"Good morning Mark, what brings you here?" He greeted me back.
"Can you let Kiara hunt again?" I bluntly asked
"What?"
I repeated what I said.
"No." he simply said with no emotion.
"Why not?" I asked
"Because.. I don't want to lose her and someone needs to run the kingdom when I step down." He said with almost no emotion.
"Then how can she rule when she hasn't even proved to hunt for herself and her kingdom. she may be a princess, but being a huntress is not one of them if you keep sheltering her from the world." I said while crossing my arms.
"I-" He stopped and thought for a moment.
"Maybe you're right. I've been too overprotective. I already lost someone and I just don't.. don't want it to happen again." he said, frowning and sadness in his voice.
"I- Didn't know, I'm sorry." I said with sympathy.
"It's alright, it was a long time ago." He sighed. After some thought, he finally agreed.
"Alright. I'll let Kiara hunt again." Simba said with a small smile.
"Alright! Thanks, Simba!" I said to him and bowed.
"didn't i already told you not to do those things?" Simba smiled and raised eyebrow.
"Sorry." i Grinned. I walked over to kiara to tell her the news.
"Hey Kiara!" I waved to her.
"Guess what?"
"What?"
"I convinced your dad into letting you hunt again." I said proudly.
"What?! How?!" She asked in disbelief.
"It was really easy. didn't need your luck after all."I said like a child that did the best thing ever and showed it to his parents.
"Oh, thank you mark!" She then nuzzled me. I was shocked by her action and blushed.
"I'll get ready. In the meantime, you can do whatever you want." she said running to who knows where. I touched my cheek and smiled a bit.
Soon, Timon and Pumbaa arrived.
"I thought they were lions!" I said surprised at the fact they were not lions but a meerkat and a warthog.
"Nope!" She said walking up to them greeted each other. They then walk over to me.
"And this is mark, a human." She said with a smile
"I didn't know you already have a boyfriend." the warthog, Pumbaa, looked over to me and then to Kiara. Kiara and I blushed. I was about to say something but Kiara beat me to it
"N-, no, we're not dating or anything" She said in embarrassment.
"Yeah, we're not." i agreed with kiara
"That's what Simba said." Timon rolled his eyes.
"I can't believe the trio is gone." Timon said.
"Anyways, I'm Timon and this here is my smelly companion, Pumbaa." he shook my hand.
"Hey!" Pumbaa took offense to Timon's description of him.
"It's the hard truth Pumbaa, live with it." Timon said.
"So, where's Simba? I need a rematch in our bug-eating contest." Pumbaasaid.
"Hey Timon, Pumbaa!" I look over to where I heard the voice and saw Simba and Nala looking over at us. Simba and Nala walked over to us.
"Hey Simba, hey Nala." Timon and Pumbaa said at the same time.
"Hey guys, glad you could make it. We miss you both. How are you?" Simba asked.
"Oh you know, Hakuna Matata, no worries at all." He said as he jumped on Pumbaa's head.
"Yeah! And there are new bugs we can eat!" Pumbaa said licking his mouth.
"You should visit sometimes." Timon said.
"Maybe, I still have a kingdom to rule you know." Simba replied
"Why don't you let Kiara and his boyfriend rule for a day?" The meerkat suggested at the king
"What?!" Me and Kiara said at the same time while blushing.
"We're not dating!" We both said at the same time.
"And I don't even know how to be a king." I said motioning my arms form a cross.
"No need for those. I'll visit you guys when there's free time." Simba said.
"How about you kids, you two want to visit Hakuna Matata falls?" Timons asked
"Yeah! It's plenty of fun there and loads of good bugs to eat!" Pumbaa said
"Eww, bugs." Me and Kiara said at the same time.
"But I'm definitely gonna visit this 'Hakuna Matata falls, it sounds fun. A place where you don't have to worry about anything." I said
"Good on you kid. How about you Kiara." Timon said looking at Kiara.
"I mean sure after the hunt maybe I can go there." She said. she turned to her father.
"Can I daddy? Please." She said with hope.
"Alright, alright just be careful." Simba said.
"I thought Simba said no hunting for you anymore." Pumbaa said.
"He changed his mind. He's protective but wouldn't take away Kiara's freedom." Nala nuzzled the king.
"Yeah, thanks to mark." Kiara said.
"I already like this kid." Timon said.
"Anyways let's head inside." Timon said, already walking into the den with Pumbaa following beside him.
"Haha, good old Timon and Pumbaa." Simba said.
"It's a good thing you let Kiara hunt again." Nala said.
"As you already heard, it was because of mark, he convinced me." Simba said looking over to me and kiara talking.
"Look at them, they're like us when we were cubs. Only he is a human." Nala said cleaning her paws.
"Yeah.." Simba said.
"It's time for the hunt mark!" Kiara said jumping around like a child.
"I know kiara, i know. Don't get too excited, you'll wet yourself." i said, her excitement infecting me.
"Sorry it's just. I can't believe you actually convinced daddy!" She said calming down.
"Like i said, it was easy." I said
"I believe you." She walked towards me. When she looked at me, i saw her eyes sparkle.
'God, she looks so beautiful with that smile.'
I slightly blushed and smiled back at her.
"Well, you better go now. I'm hungry" I laughed.
"Har har, very funny." she rolled her eyes.
"But you're half right, WE need to go." She said turning around.
"i'll catch up" i said finishing up what i was doing.
(Outside Priderock.)
Kiara is seen walking towards her parents. Rafiki with his stick, is standing on a rock.
"Kiara." He said with a smile and pride.
Zazu lands on a branch and straightens his back.
Lionesses surronding her complimented.
"Look at you."
"This is your big day"
"My, my, how you've grown."
Nala walked to her daughter. Kiara stops and they both nuzzled each other.
"You'll do just fine." Nala said.
They stopped nuzzling and kiara walks to her father who has mixed emotions on his muzzle.
"Daddy?" kiara started making her father to look at her.
"You have to promise to let me do this on my own. Promise?" kiara said. Simba looked at his mate with 'should i?' face
Nala looked back at him with a 'you already know' look
"Alright.. Promise" Simba said to which kiara ran and nuzzled his father. They stopped and kiara looked at me.
"Good luck out there princess. Oh and, try not to get eaten next time." I said scratching the back of her ear. She purred and nuzzled my leg.
"Aww, thanks markie." she blushed slightly. I too blushed because she called me by my nickname made by her.
"When are you gonna stop calling me that?" i sighed.
"When you stop calling me princess." She retorted with a smirk
"You better believe i wont" i said
"Then you may keep your nickname." she said
She nuzzled me, nala and Simba one last time and it made Timon and Pumbaa cry.
She ran to the edge and stopped to look over the horizon. She looked back at us I nod along with Simba.
She smiled and took to off towards the herds.
The Graveyard, It was dark, elephant bones were scattered around. Suddenly, 2 geysers explode.
"Ohhh, this place is even creepier since the hyenas ran off" A skinny male lion with a jet black mane said.
"geez" A lioness with sticks in her mouth said as she continued to walk.
"Puh, I'm not scared okay?" the male lion said
Suddenly a geyser explodes near him, making the lion jump and run in the direction of the lioness.
"I just don't know why we have to be here, that's all. If kovu's so SPECIAL why does he need us? I NEVER EVEN HAD A CHANCE"
Another geyser explodes, this time, directly at his butt. Making him scream and run next to where the lioness is again.
"Ugh." the lioness said with annoyance. A geyser explodes, lighting the sticks she put on the geyser on fire.
"That's it!" She then picked up the sticks with her mouth.
"Oh come on! Kiara has started her hunt again. We have to move quickly, and this time, no hyenas are failing us." She said already walking out of the graveyard.
The male lion is looking directly at the geyser.
The geyser explodes and hit his face
"OH, FIRE! HAHAHA!!" He laughed, running off to where the lioness is.
Kiara is seen crouching near the herd. Her eyes were full of determination and was ready but suddenly, she stepped on a twig, alerting the herd to run off. She tries to catch up to them but fails.
"Uhhhh! This is the third time!" she exclaimed
"Maybe I'll get a chance away from the pride lands." She said walking over to the next herd.
The two lions we saw in the graveyard are looking down upon the princess with sticks lit up in their mouth. They ran down and towards the princess.
"SET THIS PLACE ON FIRE!!" The lion yelled.
The two begin to surround the princess and started lighting the grass on fire.
"Roasty toasty princess! Roasty toasty princess!" the lion chanted. he cornered himself with fire which made him stop.
"Is it hot in here or is it just me?" He looked around and realized something.
"FIRE!" he screamed and jumped over the fire he surrounded himself in.
He looked back at the fire and laughed before he suddenly got pulled.
"Come on!" the lioness said.
Kiara is again crouching hoping to catch prey this time. She tries to sneak slowly to not get caught.
She moved an inch but somehow, her prey heard the sound and once again started running, alerting the herd.
"Oh, come on! " she yelled but calmed down to try again. She is not easily giving up.
"I can do this." she said
She sniffed the air and it got her attention. She looked around to see fire building up around her.
The herd came back running towards her. Her eyes widen and started running.
"This day is NOT on my side." Kiara said panting.
We turn to see two lions but not the same one we just saw.
"The plan is in motion." said the lioness to the lion with black mane.
"Go!" She said and the lion started running towards the fire.
Simba is pacing back and forth with Zazu standing near the edge
"Don't worry Simba, she'll be fine, what could happen?" Zazu said, trying to calm down the king.
Simba stopped and looked at the horizon with wide eyes.
"Kiara!" He yelled and began running down and towards the smoke.
"Zazu! Fly ahead." he told zazu to which the blue hornbill followed.
The lioness that was relaxing stood up and started running with the king.
"What's happening?" I looked over the edge and my eyes widen.
"Kiara!" I ran with the the other lionesses and was hoping that she's ok.
Kiara is seen running aimlessly hoping to find an exit. She coughed and coughed. She looked around and finally saw a big rock. She ran towards there and began climbing hoping to get out of the fire.
She tries and tries and finally got over it. She panted for a second and finally fainted. exhausted by the things that have happened today.
A lion appears and looked at her. Kiara with some strength looked back at the lion. She closed her eyes and dropped her head back to the ground not having enough strength to question him.
The lion walks over to her and moved her head slightly. He looked around. When he saw no one watching, he grabbed the princess by her scruff and carried her with his back. He ran down the rock, trying to escape the fire. He stopped when a tree on fire falls. He dodges the tree by jumping out of its way. They both fall into a river, and Kiara almost drowned if not for kovu. He carries her towards the shore.
Zazu saw this and gasped
"I must tell Simba!" the blue hornbill flew the where ever Simba is
The lion drops the princess.
Kiara spat out some water and opened her eyes.
"Where am I?" she asked the lion
"You're safe, in the pride lands." the lion replied
"Pirdelands? No! Why did you take me here? Who do you think you are!" Kiara said in anger
"I think I'm the one who saved your life!" the lion said
"Look, I had everything under control!" Kiara said
"Not where i'm standing." the lion said
"Then move downwind." she tried walking around him but was blocked by the lion. She tries again and again but the outcome still doesn't change.
"What are you doing?" the lion asks in confusion.
"Kovu?" the princess said to which the lion smiled.
"Kiara!" Simba and I yelled.
"Mark? Daddy?" she looked toward me and the other lions
"You're ok!" I hugged her and she nuzzled me and her parents.
"It's ok I'm fine. Kovu here-" She said but was cut off by Simba
"Kovu?" Simba and Kovu roared at each other
"Simba." Nala said.
"Hey! You! How dare you save the king's daughter." Rafiki said.
"You saved her? Why?" I asked
"I'm humbly asking to join Simba's pride-" Kovu replied
"No" Simba said immediately. Making kovu back off.
"You were banished with the other outsiders." Simba said.
What the heck is happening here? Why did he banish them?
"I left the outsiders. I'm a rogue. Judge me now for who I am or am I to be blamed for the crime I didn't commit?" Kovu said.
Simba roared and paced back in forth deep in thought.
"Simba, you owe him your daughter's life." Nala stated.
"Hmm, yes sire. Clearly we are in his debt, and royal protocol demands all debt must be paid.
But in this case, you might want to make an exception." Zazu said after landing near the king.
Simba looked back at kovu and smirked. Which made kovu puff up.
"My father's law will prevail. For now, I reserve judgment." Simba said already walking towards pride rock. I walk over to Kiara.
"Glad you're okay princess. You had me worried for a second there." I said. Kiara smiled and nuzzled my leg
"Didn't know you cared markie. Besides the jokes, i'm ok. Kovu saved me." Kiara said
"Oh yeah, kovu." I said.
"Hey, dude! Kovu!" I called out to the lion in question. The lion stopped and looked at me.
"Thanks for saving her," I said. He only looked at me before continuing walking.
"Huh, the guy liked talking then, why stop now?" I said
"Don't worry, he was like that when we were cubs. Until now, he hasn't changed a bit." Kiara said walking with me.
"Who is he anyway?" I asked.
"A cubhood friend and if you want to know why he was banished, ask daddy." she said.
"Maybe, but not right now he's hot in the head." I said
I remembered that we were going to hakuna matata falls.
"You still up for Hakuna Matata falls?" I asked.
"After what happened today? yes. Let's go tomorrow afternoon." she said.
"Sounds good." I said.
Pride Rock
It was already night.
Simba saw Kovu going inside the den but before he can, Simba blocked him and growled.
Even though he saved Kiara I still can't trust him. I mean, I don't know him. I thought
He walked over to a rock and lay down next to it.
I saw Kiara walk over to him.
They talked to each other.
I was already in the den.
Who really is this guy? Why did he get banished?
"Maybe i'll get those answers tomorrow."
I was already going to sleep before kiara nudged me.
"Can I sleep with you? With all that has happened y'know?" she asked embarrassed.
"Uhhhh..." My brain froze at her suggestion.
"Soryy sorry! That was dumb." She said with a blush. She was already walking away when I called out to her.
"Wait! I mean... if it's ok with you then, maybe... You can sleep here.." I said blushing madly.
She smiled and came over to me. She lay down next to me and was already fast asleep
Guess fatigue took over her.
"Good night princess" I said to her, closing my eyes as I say those.
